From

DENVER (CNN) – The hall is now teeming with people, and rumors are swirling they may stop letting them in. Folks are still not paying too much attention to what's happening on the podium, and as you go through the crowd all you hear is "Hillary" and "Clinton." Right now a stream of 'real people' are taking the stage - speaking now is Gloria Craven, a North Carolina Republican and a laid-off textile worker.

what bill clinton needs to say in his speech is... I know what it takes to be a good president, and Barack Obama has it. Barack Obama is ready to lead , John Mccain does not have what it takes and is not ready to lead.

David W.   August 26th, 2008 11:13 pm ET

Believe it or not, not everyone is real crazy about Obama.

Auf Wiedersehen   August 26th, 2008 11:07 pm ET

Hillary is delivering a truly great speech. The Twin Cities knock on McCain/Bush should get traction.

ryan2483   August 26th, 2008 10:56 pm ET

Nice one, ree. I couldn't agree more!

Substance over rhetoric in 2008!

NObama!

debkansas   August 26th, 2008 10:47 pm ET

Hillary by far is the star of the convention. She is the true leader. She should be accepting the nomination not that Obomba. I bet there are more people watching the convention tonight then anyother night. Its just the way it is. She has earned respect of the American people. This guy is is I don't know. Does anyone have a speech for him and for his wife. Did Michelle get an A on her speech. CNN give me a break. Hillary always knows what to say, she doesn't have to have write her words for her. Go Hillary

Gary   August 26th, 2008 10:11 pm ET

Hillary is more popular right now because the GOP attack machine has been turned on early this election. The Dems just had a historic primary with incredible candidates and the GOP wants to divide & conquer.

The media (including CNN) wants this paparazzi coverage so the election will be kept close. For the news, it's ratings, not substance.

ree   August 26th, 2008 9:56 pm ET

Obama supporters are just madd because Sen. Clinton is more popular then the Obama's. I was reading a really good book last night but tonight I will be watching Sen. Clinton. Thursday it will be more important for me to get ready for my company this weekend then to watch Obama. What a rock star want to be

BK   August 26th, 2008 9:42 pm ET

She should be the nominee, not inexperienced Rock Star Obama all talk and no substance.

Marie   August 26th, 2008 9:40 pm ET

Candy, here is a donut. Now shut up and cover the convention. C-SPAN people C-SPAN. We know your corp. news agenda is to tear down Obama, but let people who do not have C-SPAN have a chance to see the convention without the likes of you tell us what is and is not important to see. CNN/FOXNEWS what's the difference.

FROMHILLARYTOMCCAIN.COM   August 26th, 2008 9:27 pm ET

Sarah   August 26th, 2008 9:22 pm ET

CNN, THIS CONVENTION IS NOT ABOUT THE CLINTONS!! All I see are articles on HRC. Enough.

KG   August 26th, 2008 9:22 pm ET

It's probably going to be the name on a lot of delegates lips when they do the roll call. The Dems really screwed this one up. They went with the wrong "man."

ThinkSmart   August 26th, 2008 9:21 pm ET

CNN needs to show the speakers no one cares what Crowley says. Let the voters get a chance to hear the convention and make our own minds up. I dont want to hear what they arent saying I want to hear what they are saying. I dont have the priviledge of turning the channel. Im in the military overseas and they only show CNN. Im furious!!!! I wish I had fox, and thats hard to say. Wolf you adn your friends need to shut up and show teh convention!!

Leslie Leclair   August 26th, 2008 9:18 pm ET

I have been moving around the coverage and I just want you to know that I appreciate your coverage but, I put on cspan was able to see the convention raw. It was great.
It's like looking at two different shows. I realize you are doing your jobs but, it is just too much.
When the guy who lost his job at the auto plant spoke I could see how much it took for him to get up there and what was happening to him. Your spin on what the puma's are doing and the impact they will have on the election isn't important. It's the guy who lost the job or the girl that has to work 2 jobs and take care of her handicapped sister and deal with the system that washington has set up.
the other night when i turned on cnn and saw your buddy there with his red, white and blue straw hat I had to laugh. I hate to break it to you. It's about us not you

Go Hill.   August 26th, 2008 9:15 pm ET

She's the most interesting part of this whole show.

And Obama decided not to let her play in the big game.

So dumb.

Pssst.....   August 26th, 2008 9:15 pm ET

Dis-satisfied Clinton backers

McCAIN IS PRO_LIFE!!!!!!!!!

Vote for McCain and vote to over-turn Roe. Vs. Wade

Liz   August 26th, 2008 9:13 pm ET

Candy, love your commentary. Keep it coming! Maybe you could, however, get a few of your fellow best-political-team-members to abbreviate their comments so that we could actually take some time to hear some of the non-prime-time speeches. I don't want to sit at my computer all night to see the second string of speakers. Give them some air time please! Many thanks!

Sandy   August 26th, 2008 9:13 pm ET

Clinton News Network

Watch starting Sunday when it becomes

McCNN (McCain News Network)

Disbusting and biased.

Miche   August 26th, 2008 9:12 pm ET

I cannot believe Charles Barkley said that if Barrack Obama doesn't win it will be because white people can't get themselves to vote for a black man! Hello, how about the fact that he hasn't so much as managed a 7/11 in his life. He does the 3 years an dash program, never staying in one spot long enough to do anything. It burns me that people like Charles Barkley make it about race! I'm not voting for Obama but it has nothing to do with his race.

John Cavataio   August 26th, 2008 9:12 pm ET

We are all upset that CNN is not letting us hear the speakers. I believe that Gov. Rendel was speaking and we had to listen to CNN reporters. You'r becomming the story, instead of bringing the story to US!!

White, female supporter of Obama   August 26th, 2008 9:10 pm ET

Certainly on yours and your fellow reporters lips. Too bad you are filtering the convention for viewers.
