Dennis Kucinich got the crowd going Tuesday.

DENVER (CNN) – The place is filling up, but everybody is moving around - it looks like an ant hill The truth is, during the early evening speeches, nobody pays much attention except the home state delegation of the speaker. They are little pods of wild enthusiasm amidst a sea of disinterest.

CNN all your comments about the Obama campain are negative, you keep repeating what the Republicans are saying "is Obama ready to lead" well I got news for all of you Mcain is only ready to check into a retirement home is that what you bigotts want in your next president!!!!WAKE UP rise above the segregation that still lives in your DNA move ahead Mcain does not have 4 more years!!!!

nick mentis   August 26th, 2008 11:20 pm ET

AMERICA forget Superman,Spiderman and all your comic book superheroes, the greatest American amongst you is none other than Hillary Rodam Clinton,bar-none, the speech she made tonight makes her Americas only shinning star!! There is no political commentary that can say diddly-squat about the woman that just secured Obamas presedential confirmation!!!Hillary Rodam Clinton all the power to you,so many can only wish to emulate you!!!!!

Dawoud Bey   August 26th, 2008 11:16 pm ET

It seems that the CNN commentators (Ms. Crowley included) are not reporting the convention, they think they ARE the convention. While speaker after speaker holds forth at the podium–some forcefully–Crowley and the CNN crew continue to spin, spin, spin. Ignoring Democratic Majority Leader Steny Hoyer's powerful message, they spin that, "No one is taking on Bush, there's no focus here, etc., etc." Well, maybe if they stopped spinning and covered what actually IS happening they–and CNN viewers–would get a much different sense of just what is REALLY going on in Denver. Spin free C-SPAN is a much more unbiased place to get real and unfiltered coverage of this convention. For shame.

Enough!!!   August 26th, 2008 10:24 pm ET

CNN=GOP......Go ahead Candy. We know youall at CNN have to keep your jobs.

Hillary/McCain/not/Obama   August 26th, 2008 10:11 pm ET

Thanks so much for the info concerning C-Span. It is much better than the other channels. Do not have listen to those news people.

Hillary should have been the Democratic nominee. People should not judge her becasue of her husband. He was a great president. I know he cheated but so did John Kennedy. Michele Obama will be the co-president because Obama does not do anything without consulting her first. I promise you I will not vote for Obama. I have always said I would always vote Democratic. Not now, I will vote for a Republican for president. We need to stop the late term abortions. By the way, I am an educated white woman. Not all Hillary supporters are uneducated.

Time to heal   August 26th, 2008 9:58 pm ET

I am getting sick of CNN, sick of the negative spin. I am going to go back to watching Public TV. Had not thought to check out C-Span II.
Voters are ready to heal and move on with rebuilding America and our image in the world after 7 years of destruction of both.

New Yorker   August 26th, 2008 9:46 pm ET

Not surprising; this party is fractured.

K Webb   August 26th, 2008 9:30 pm ET

I am loving the comments by those complaining about the coverage by the 24-hour networks.

I think you may have a consensus. We would like more of the "gavel to gavel" coverage that we need to be informed.

PBS often isn't watched b/c of its lack of flair. But it may be getting more viewers b/c of that very fact.

KATHLEEN   August 26th, 2008 9:29 pm ET

CNN may believe that we, at home would rather here their comments than what the message (for Obama) is. These people that are speaking on stage have a right to be heard on National Television.

C-Span is covering the speakers-their message to us, the voters.

Who cares right at this minute what the hustle and bustle of the crowd
is talking about. Who cares. Let us here the message of the speakers.

Who is paying for this convention, CNN?

Edgar - Orlando   August 26th, 2008 9:27 pm ET

PUMA – you are a joke Dennis!

qwertyuiop   August 26th, 2008 9:21 pm ET

"Gavel to Gavel Coverage" of CNN's payroll talking to hear themselves talk. Idea for balancing the budget: make Carville, Gergen, and Begala pay a quarter every time they whine about the DNC programming without being able to name the speaker on the floor. Why are you even in the building - pretty sure Charles Barkley would have left the arena to get his mug in front of your cameras. My biggest fear is that you are going to realize the atrocity that has been your non-coverage of the DNC just in time to fully cover the RNC, giving them their full four days of free advertising while entirely robbing the DNC of its own.

William, from Cali!   August 26th, 2008 9:19 pm ET

CNN has shown their true color, like the Clintons; it's ROYAL YELLOW!

Ed Douglas   August 26th, 2008 9:19 pm ET

So I'm sitting here watching and listening to the David Gerben and others talk about the lack of any fizz by the the Dems. In the background, as I discover by switching to PBS, there's speakers on the podium saying really important stuff. Are you reporters there at CNN to cover the convention or are you there to cover yourselves?? Turn the cameras off of the reporters and "panelists" and point it at the podium. Why should you decide what we see and dont see? This is ridiculous. I had more hope for CNN's coverage.

Oberst Kruger   August 26th, 2008 9:17 pm ET

Kucinich? You people are truly a bunch of freaks!

Tara   August 26th, 2008 9:15 pm ET

The disprespect from people on the convention floor is a disgrace. Why show up if you don't plan on listening? We, the people watching on TV, can hear you rustling and whispering. We make better listeners than you, the delegates.

Tonight, the speeches have been very inspirational – especially yours, Mr. Kucinich. However, it is very sad that the delegates do not have the attention span to listen to the messages so they can go spread the word of our next president.

kenyadc   August 26th, 2008 9:11 pm ET

I went to the doctor's today and the conversatgion in the waiting room was how CNN is disparaing the Democratic party and Obama. The team is joined by the obviously Republican and anti-Obama Campbell Brown and Ms. Sanchezl gave Michele a B because she was in a cocktail dress. What cocktail dress? Who was she watching? It was obviously a "Sunday go to meeting" dress but it was not a cocktail dress. So that comment tells me more about Ms. Sanchez than Michele.
Michele was excellent! She is articulate and beautiful! Eat your heart out Ms. Sanchez!

Dave in Missouri   August 26th, 2008 9:09 pm ET

Fortunately, PBS is actually showing the convention. On CNN, talking heads keep rattling on about how the DNC needs to be better for TV, but I guess we're supposed to simply take their word for it. We sure don't get to see it. The convention itself is an unknown activity in background while CNN commentators keep repeating the same things over and over. It's clear what CNN thinks the show is. What a shame. How about a little play-by-play instead? Let us see the ballgame!

ConradSail   August 26th, 2008 9:08 pm ET

Nancy Floyd just showed the complete lack of economic and marketplace understanding that is a hallmark of Democrat "thinking"... and shot herself in the foot in the process by comparing "green" industry with the computer industry in 1984.

The computer industry thrived and created millions of high-paying jobs WITH NO HELP FROM GOVERNMENT. Did bureaucrats tell Steve Jobs how to build Apple??

Figure it out, Democrats, the government cannot create industries... the private sector does that just fine, thank you.

Larry   August 26th, 2008 9:07 pm ET

As one of the best reporters there, PLEASE tell Wolf to cut this "only cable network anchoring from the floor" goofiness. Good grief. What's next "we're the only network that starts with C and ends with N that has a [insert hyperbole]" We can see where you are and are switching when you overstate and over self-promote.

Guimhy Jozef   August 26th, 2008 9:03 pm ET

The reign of the Clintons is over. The media needs to get used to that and stop creating divisions within the democratic party. It's time to truly embrace Obama and let Hilary be what she is: a page turned. As to whether Obama did good on not giving the ticket to Hilary, I think it's a good move. The Clinton just want to be eternal in the american politics. This just cannot be.

nick mentis   August 26th, 2008 9:03 pm ET

This is for Leslie Sanchez who rated Michelle Obama's speech by saying is it the dress or whats in it,to begin with Leslie you are a MORON if you did not hear Michelle Obamas speech cause you were too busy looking at her dress !!!why did you bother rating Michelles speach if you did not hear a single word? Obviously you thought you were at a fashion show! How IGNORANT of you!!!

kevin   August 26th, 2008 9:02 pm ET

go OBAMA! go Democrats, McBush cannot win this election in such a defining moment in history.

Donyelle Vinzant   August 26th, 2008 9:01 pm ET

Dennis K. gave the best reasons why Barack should be President. That is exactly what Barack and Joe need to do from now on. I was fired up after hearing Dennis!!! Go Obama/ Biden08!

In case you didnt know   August 26th, 2008 8:59 pm ET

i ask you if you are a true Obama supporter or a true Clinton supporter please do not engage in the back and forth on this site…the Repubs have blogger's they pay to cause distention with in the Democratic party…so those Hill people being attacked, it is by a paid repub and fro those Obama supporters the same thing…the repubs are about keeping the status quot, they have the money and resources to try to divide us…dont let them, remember united we stand

Matt Mohning   August 26th, 2008 8:59 pm ET

CNN shame on you. I had to turn off CNN and turn on PBS to hear the Democrats on the floor lay out their vision for the country. At the same time I kept one TV on CNN and heard Blitzer/Gergen/Carville complaining about how the Dems are not attacking McCain and laying out a vision. A word of advise: shut your big traps and listen! Give America the chance to hear what is being said. I hope that you talk over the RNC next week as well. Or will you cave to conservative complainers. Majority Leader Hoyer, Gov. Granholm's panel, and the several other speakers did exactly what you are complaining isn't happening.

Al Ludwick   August 26th, 2008 8:57 pm ET

I am a religious fan of CNN-however this convention is not about Wolf and the rest of the talking heads–shut up and let us hear more of the speeches and less of you.
Al Ludwick, Democrat of NM

RickytheGriff   August 26th, 2008 8:55 pm ET

I know this will never be posted, but here I go anyway....

I know CNN that it's been a wonderful eight years for you guys. The White House gives you stories to report, and you do so willingly. I'm sure the money they've been giving has been delightful.

But can you guys try at least to ACT like your not biased? Your coverage of the DNC has been a farce. A sad, twisted farce.

I

White, female supporter of Obama   August 26th, 2008 8:50 pm ET

Perhaps the CNN "cast of talking heads" should have let their audience listen to the speakers as well as I was able to do on PBS. Candy, you disappoint me. You used to be objective and a reporter.

Jill   August 26th, 2008 8:47 pm ET

Please, please, please–show the convention–not the pundits who talk, talk, talk. There is no point in watching CNN at this point which has become nothing but a simple stroking fest between commentators who closely monitor what the public will be allowed to see and hear.

Sarah- ARIZONA   August 26th, 2008 8:46 pm ET

CNN is pathetic!!!! You have not showed many of the speeches. You just repeat the same crap over and over again and cause friction.

GET over ur self. SERIOUSLY.... PATHETIC and this is called reporting and best political team on tv. pffffttt

Wolf u suck and so does anderson( who i usually love)

Mike Medavoy   August 26th, 2008 8:41 pm ET

I’m tired of hearing that the Clinton women are angry because they felt that she had lost because she was a woman. My question is if Hillary had won and Barack had lost, could the argument be made that is was because he was black? Would black people be entitled to think that? And not because he had run a bad campaign? Where are these questions from the press? And can how can you have Mayor Giuliani on TV making statements about Obama’s tax plan and the economy without having someone responding to it? On the issue of National Security, the question remains are we more secure now with the Bush years while McCain voted 90% of the time with the president, or do we trust Obama/Biden to get us out of 8 years of a misguided war and a world that thinks America has lost its way?

JImmy in California   August 26th, 2008 8:40 pm ET

I think this is sort of an unconvential convention. Can't say I am all that enthused with it but I also understand that much of convention times are spent bashing the opponent and Obama does not want to go negative. I suspect that Hillary will start it tonight and Joe Biden will take the ball and run after the convention.

Evangelical   August 26th, 2008 8:40 pm ET

Why is CNN is so against OBAMA?

CNN   August 26th, 2008 8:29 pm ET

Best Political Team On TV my behind. What are you Cnn people yapping about all the time you are talking nonsense and are trying to push the divide in the Democratic Party. Shame on you! Stop talking about Clinton this Clinton that so that you will try to divide the dems.

Senator Clinton put her support behind senator Obama a long time ago. Please be a news channel not a BSing, yapping all the time channel. You know what, after this convention, Cnn will loose a lot of viewers to M S N B C because you guys don’t know what the heck you are talking about.

Wolf, SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!

Phil Newton from Murphy, Oregon   August 26th, 2008 8:29 pm ET

Crowley writes as if her talking points were delivered by the GOP.

bhano   August 26th, 2008 8:29 pm ET

Lets have some diversity opinion, instead of just all who supports just Clinton somehow. Clinton is History, talk abt Obama. Lets face Obama won in fair and square. Clinton who ran negative adds.

Hopeful Floridian   August 26th, 2008 8:27 pm ET

Go Dennis – tell it like it is! Obama/Biden 08!!

aware   August 26th, 2008 8:22 pm ET

Right!

Obama is fading, and it is not Hillary's job to unify the party! :)

That is Barack Obama's job! He could have unified the party but he chose not to. He has very poor judgment!

Unfortunately, Obama's arrogance and belief in his own infallibility has undermined his party and his future! Barack, the user, will lose!

Today, he is out on the stump obfuscating, prevaricating and bluffing! he doesn't get it, and he doesn't have a clue!

The democrats blew it big time this election!

And, this former democrat will vote for McCain 08! Country comes before party, and John McCain is a moderate in touch with mainstream America! :)

Brenna   August 26th, 2008 8:20 pm ET

Dennis Kucinich is the man.

GREAT SPEECH!

OBAMA/BIDEN '08-'12

Gary Chandler in Canada   August 26th, 2008 8:14 pm ET

Some Hillary supporters will not stay for Obama's speech.
BIG NEWS
1/3 of elected Republicans not even showing up to the Limbaugh -McCain run Red Convention. (no mention!)
How is that BALANCED reporting CNN?
Hillary's dress color could more important to you than the deeply deeply divided Reblicans!?

tedious898   August 26th, 2008 8:12 pm ET

People are struggling.....why must we spend so much time honoring Hillary. At some point we have to say is one woman's loss in a primary campaign worth another 8 years of republicans.

ChrisP   August 26th, 2008 8:12 pm ET

Pretty much the same way that congress functions ... what's the opposite of "pro-gress" ... "congress"!! McCain can't handle the job ... look at the Obama "organization" ... it's a well-oiled machine ... it's time to cut the fat ... now the fat cats are shakin'!!

Sandy   August 26th, 2008 8:10 pm ET

Obama/Biden '08/'12

Bill   August 26th, 2008 8:07 pm ET

I am tired of the media trying to make something out of nothing. Demo support Barrack.

Anonymous   August 26th, 2008 8:07 pm ET

I am disappointed in CNN. I have never seen reporters who participate in so much gossip. The Clinton and Obama camps are still fighting! Says who?? I have not seen any of you expecially Candy interview in sources to support these claims. I feel like I'm watching Entertainment Tonight not CNN.

Ann   August 26th, 2008 8:07 pm ET

Why does CNN lack diversity in it's reporters/pundits? I am a white female and I am sick of seeing all the white men talk talk talk about race and gender. Shameful!

KG   August 26th, 2008 8:07 pm ET

Kind of like the Dem party itself. No unity, no direction, no core policies, no help for America.

Peggy   August 26th, 2008 8:06 pm ET

Way to support your party, Candy!

the Nightingale Sings in Berkley Square   August 26th, 2008 8:05 pm ET

Nice job Candy. Ask your boss for a pay raise

Hillary was the best candidate. Obama stole the nomination with Harry and Howard's support.

Great Job Dennis, now go back to the nut house

We have two overripe bananas for the head job in the USA. That is a shame Please - [ Nobama and no joe.]

Obama is risky
Obama is inexperienced
Obama has a funny name
Obama will take our guns away
Joe cries, not becoming of a tough VP, Putin will eat him alive and Obama too for dessert.
Obama is a novice at Foreign Affairs.

So do you want to gamble with our country?

do you want to roll the dice?

I don't think you do, therefore a good alternative is JOHN MCCAIN.

Lee   August 26th, 2008 8:01 pm ET

Yeah, your analysts are great, they are the best. We know. Now can we actually watch the speeches? Maybe? Possible? We, the viewer, would really appreciate it.

Sandy   August 26th, 2008 8:00 pm ET

SO – PBS lets US pick who WE want to listen to – and it's not who you all think

ralph   August 26th, 2008 7:59 pm ET

this doesn't merit the rest of this
