I'm voting for Obama because I am a liberal democrat and the election is about policy not personality. But in my heart I still know that Senator Clinton would have been the more outstanding nominee and president.

Let's try and see Obama and Hillary as a "failed relationship."

Most of us have had relationships that failed and we were mad as hell with the other person but after some time we came to realize IT'S OVER and it is time to move on i.e., (Trump and Ivana, Brad and Jen) the list goes on. They got through it and now are civil with each other. Having said that-I feel Hillary knew exactly what she was giving the republicans when she said the nasty things she did but it's time to move on. I am no Clinton fan but as a Christian, I am willing to forgive her. WE ALL make mistakes and we have ALL said things we were later ashamed of. The future of my two sons is more important to me than anything in this world and I am NOT going to give McWar the power to hurt or kill them. Obama supporters I am as mad as you are about what transpired during the primaries (many have seen my blogs) but let's try to see this as a "failed relationship" and try to MOVE ON. Something good will eventually come out of all this. It always does. After all, if you think about it we got what we wanted and the Clinton supporters didn't. Shouldn't they be somewhat upset? Let's not flame the fires by posting nasty remarks. I hope many of the Clinton supporters will come to realize Hillary will still be working for you and she WILL have a top notch position in Obama's cabinet (Obama supporters WE can demand that-not that I think we will have to). She will still be there for you just not in the senate. I'm sure Obama will give her every consideration. WE don't know what they have already discussed. He understands your anger but just like you, he didn't like being threatened. Do you?

Starting today, I am not going to post anything negative about the Clinton's because it is just TIME TO MOVE ON. WE all need each other NOW and I don't want to wake up Nov. 5th trying to find another country to live. Please let's give it a try. I'll go first.

Thank you.

For those of you who complain about CNN (and I have been among you), a good place to watch convention events is C-Span. No commentary at all. Gives you a chance to make your own judgments before listening to the talking heads. Would also recommend that you go to the other stations, so that you will really get different viewpoints.

Stop insulting Hillary by refusing to support Barack Obama.
The issues that Hillary Clinton has worked so tirelessly for--expanded access to healthcare, a woman's right to choose, the restoration of America's standing in the world--have been just as tirelessly opposed by John McCain and the GOP. If you refuse to support Obama in November you are standing in opposition to Hillary and thwarting her lifetime of hard work.
What's more, you will irreversibly damage her entire future. At BEST, Hillary will be seen as powerless and unable exercise leadership in regard to her supporters. At WORST, she will be seen as conniving to sabotage her own party at the most crucial political moment in a generation. Either way, her career will be over.
Could you live with that?

Senator Clinton will undoubtedly give a great speech. She will let her supporters know that she has, and it is now time for them, to rally around the Democratic Presidential Nominee. And to do anything other than support Barack Obama would go against the interest of the party they have been selected or elected represent.

Best wishes to the Senator from New York; in what will be a most historic speech.

What will she say??????
How can anyone ask that?

Hillary will do and say ......graciously..... whatever it takes to help Obama and his supporters forget that he limped across the finish line to get the nomination with the help of some superdelegates.

In my opinion, she will always be the best candidate.

The first day of the convention was well done. The message was what it was planned to be and what everybody perceived.

Now we can all be overly critical and tear the best laid plans to pieces, and we can all also offer supportive, diplomatic suggestions.

What I do not understand is, Why was Democratic Strategist, James Carville even in the picture since he was so critical. And I couldn't believe Anderson was right there with him. What the heck were they thinking or not.

Why would a Democratic Strategist openly talk the way he did, if he is a Democratic Party Supporter? Maybe he and Anderson will be all praise when they see Hillary tonight.

I remain convinced that Sen. Hillary's support to Sen. Obama is not out of her good will rather than her loyalty to her dream to become president and the party whose dignity and principles she feels committed to safeguard. In her strong determination to become America's first female president, accepting to be Obama's VP now would delay the fulfillment of her dream which she without doubt intends to pursue again in 4 years. Therefore supporting Obama now and urging her supporters to do the same is as wise and smart a move that could work in her favor if Obama wins this presidential election. But should Obama lose due to the rebellion of her supporters, she may as well kiss her presidential bid in the futur goobye as well, because Obama supporters will sure return them the same favor. Obama is under fire for not picking Hillary as VP. Who knows if he did not make her the offer and she refused out of pride and/or political reason. People need to stop making false critics and accusations. These politicians are one solid indivisible family. Aren't we, the voters, fighting each others for no reason?

doesnt matter what she says. i gave her money, went to see her and told all my family about her and drove everyone to the polls to vote for her in the primary. we were votong for her more than her policies ( may or may not have been wise to do). anyway, we are now voting for mccain. we want to drill for oil and become energy dependent in time. we dont want sub standard health care ( especially me cuase i have a tumor), we cat afford to survive noe really so we certainly dont want obama to tax us out of our homes. we like low taxes for small businesses because THREY are the ones that put 75% of america to work! anyone with sence will tell you that. if you noticed, like i do, it is the CONGRESS that decides how out tax money is spent and CONGRESS is DEM by majority. if we got economic problems, lets blame the dems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!we do and so we will vote for mccain. dont really expect to see this posted because it criticizes the golden child. hhhmmm.

Whatever she says, I'm sure it will be the only positive words of praise that the CNN anchors will say during the entire convention. I had to change channels last night. I got so fed up with all the negativity from the CNN political team toward Obama, his supporters, the Kennedy's etc. You can even hear a lack of any enthusiasm in all of their voices. I'LL be curious to compare to the Repub. convention. I bet they are more excited for McCain. PBS has much more objective coverage. CNN is starting to remind me of FIX news.

Maybe she'll tell John McCain to stop hiding behind her. . .and her words. If he doesn't have the courage to stand up to Obama without using Hillary Clinton as a shied, how can we possibly expect him to face our real enemies?

She will be the most hated women in America if she sidesteps ONCE
in this speech. She has already caused a great deal of trouble have
delegates signing petitions during the DNC Convention last night.
To have her name on the Nominee list is outrageous!!!!! Can't make
light of that. Just shows the true character of a woman who loves attention and power. Can't give it up!!!! It IS OVER, HILLARY.

TO ALL MY DEVOTED SUPPORTERS:

I graciously thank YOU for supporting me during my campaign. I appreciate all your support, however, we NEED to move forward and "DO THE RIGHT THING" for this country we love so much. This is NOT about me, or YOU, this is about LOVE for your country and your children's future. It's bigger than all of us. I'm not looking "back", and I hope my supporters focus on the future and not the past. The past is over and done. It's time we move this country that I love forward.

So it is with my upmost hopes that ALL my TRUE supporters follow me and HONOR me by rallying behind Sen. Barrack Obama as our next PRESIDENT. I RESPECT him and I SUPPORT HIM 110%.

I ask ALL my TRUE Clinton supporters to rally behind Sen. Barrack Obama because despite your disappointment and anger, the FACT is MY POLICIES are a LOT more in line with Sen. Obama than they are with Sen. McCain's.

I ask that you PLEASE HONOR ME, if your are my true supporter and love your country as much as I do, YOU will all join me in doing the RIGHT THING.

PLEASE don't allow Sen. McCain the opportunity to USE ME as his 'scapegoat". Please JOIN Sen. Obama and I in "CHANGING" the future of the country and moving our country forward, not backwards.

For those of you who are "threatening" to vote for Sen. McCain out of spite, bitterness and hatred. YOU were TRULY NOT IN SUPPORT OF ME TO BEGIN WITH. YOU ARE NO DEDICATED SUPPORTER OF MINE!! I DO NOT SUPPORT John McCain's failed policies and if YOU do, then you are NOT a true Hillary Clinton supporter.

A TRUE HILLARY CLINTON SUPPORTER WOULD NEVER BETRAY the one person they claim to love and support. That would be the ultimate betrayal.

Are you a traitor or a TRUE Hillary Clinton supporter? Talk is cheap, are you going to HONOR me by doing the right thing or DISGRACE my name and destroy my political future and the future of our country?

The actions of Hillary's "supporters" are enough to curdle ones stomach.

How can anyone be so bitter about losing that they have to step all over everyone else?

I didn't vote for Hillary, and if this is the kind of reaction that her supporters are supposed to have, I will never vote for Hillary,

The absolute hate, threats and outright mean statements by her supporters about Obama, leads me to believe this is group I never want to be part of.

Hillary is going to remind people that John McCain is a horrible choice for president - that he is a war monger - that he is against womens rights - that he is a true elitist - that he is demented - that he is using POW as an excuse for all his campaign mistakes - that he is a panderer that cannot be trusted - that he left his crippled wife and his children to chase after rich, young, Cindy - that he paints himself to be a pious man that is actually a wolf in sheeps clothing - and that he will not only leave our military in Iraq for years and years, but he will also invade Russia (Armegeddon) - he will bankrupt this country completely. John McCain is a dangerous man. Period.

Thats what HIllary will say.

As intelligent, articulate and gracious as she is she will say she'll do everything she can to get the democratic candidate elected.

But the wimpy obama shows how petty and childest he is....first not having a senior politican as Rangel at the convention and returning his money. What a slap in the face. Then he calls his supporters at 3AM in the morning a slap in the face of Hillary. And then his cult followers say Hillary is not at hepted up as she should be...

Petty and childest is this the type of person real mature and intelligent Americans want for a president. NO NO NO>..that's why most of the real Americans are going over to McCain.

An Obama loss will spell the end of her political career. She will not get re-elected to the US Senate from New York. She will not get 18 million votes in 2012, only half at best, which is not enough to win a nomination.

She ran on the promise that she would not run in 2008, that she would finish her term and not open up a Senate seat. The Democrats needed every seat in 2006, and still do.

Look at the face in the picture. It will be her last major speech, a farewell speech. She might know it, she might not. Past behavior suggest that she is too proud to realize that this is the beginning of the end.

Obama swallow his pride?????? Do you really think he didn't choose Hillary as a running mate based on pride? He couldn't choose Hillary because his platform is CHANGE and Clinton does not equal change.
Come on, people, Obama won fair and square, according to the election process currently followed in this country. You have to respect that. Give Hillary credit for what she accomplished, but do the right thing, vote for the candidate with the views most like hers. Nothing else makes sense.

She has done enough damage to hurt the democratic party and the Clinton legacy for many years to come. All she can say to me is that she is sorry and she knows that the inuendos and lies she made up about Obama being unprepared, sexist and etc are untrue. Since she claims that her years of being first lady make her experienced then I look forward to Mrs. Michelle Obama campaigning in eight years.

Obama & Biden 08 & 12
Michelle and Caroline 2016
A change we can believe in.

Please CNN, try posting something logically asking for unity in this country, instead of trying to stir the pot and create more ratings......

I respect her for what she did, and what she's accomplished. That's what everyone in here should do. For those that are still angry with her not winning, the hatred gets yourself, and this country, no where. It only hurts it more and creates tension between many people. For those that make negative comments toward her still, because you have never supported her, you do nothing but create tension between many people in this country. The words of anger and hatred drive a spike between people in this country regardless of who you support (democratic, republican, independent, male, female, purple, green, etc.). This is a time when so many of us have economic hardships that we must overcome. We all have a global competitive society that creates so many tensions within, and between, communities outside of this wonderful country. Yet, for some reason we as Americans continue to fight our own citizens and neighbors from within. We continue to raise animosity, anger, jealousy, and hatred toward one another and it continues to make us loose ground, and respect, in this world.

To everyone who is saying 'Hillary 2012′ or 'Hillary 2016′, I respect that regardless of who I support, but if you ruin the election for Barack Obama this time around, it can be confidently said that she will have an amazingly difficult, possibly impossible, time being able to garner the needed votes next time because there will be many people angry with her. Obama had 18+ million votes also and Hillary can not affort to disenfranchise that voters for 2012 and/or 2016 either. Voting on revenge does NOTHING to help this country with the terrible state it's currently in, and her supports will loose many of the political battles/stands they believe in if McCain wins because of their votes in November. You want to vote for someone who has almost all polar opposite beliefs then Clinton praised and believed in when she was running? You want to loose all of those battles, without even having a chance to fight them, because of McCain in office. Did you really believe in what she said, she fought for, and she believe in, or did you believe in some idealogical image of her in office without any of what was behind it?

Remember if you vote for McCain you throw away the believes of Hillary, the 18 million that supported her, Obama and the 18 million that supported him, and hurt the future of this country. Are you willing to let your bitterness harm those many people (those close to you, those you believed in, those you love, etc.) and their beliefs?

PUMA's are a bunch of closet Republicans trying to break up the Democratic party. Don't buy into this stupid rhetoric. The Democratic party is as strong as ever and the Republicans don't know what the h*ll to do. They're so afraid of losing the White House. They're afraid of having to pay taxes again. People ... get smart, wake up, and don't buy into any of this nonsense.

Is it just me, or is CNN desperate for Hillary. I watched the convention last night on several different networks. CNN focused on Hillary and the PUMA fanatics, trying desperately to make it an issue. MSNBC gave them little coverage, and the convention looked much better for America. What is the CNN Clinton connection?

I'm an independent but these comments by Obama supporters are why I WILL NEVER vote for him. If these people are what he is about, since they seem to think they OWN the right to be so negative, I will vote McCain and be happy with the next 4 years. They and their comments are what is wrong with this nation.

As an Europeen I watch these postes and it seems strange to me.

1st - The Obama supporters do believe in democracy? I supposed so... why are they so upset about her? She had the right to go till the end...didn´t she? She lost by the rules... but she had the democratical right to fight till the end....or no?

2nd - The Hillary supporters prefer to vote on McCain? Ideas...policies are far more strong than men or women... undoubtly...

America lost an opportunity...as the whole world... we all would be safer if it was Hillary to pick up the phone at 3 a.m.

Senator Clinton need not say anything.

People should think!
Republicans used abortion, gay marriage, and immigration to get to the White House 8 and 4 years ago. Did they do anything about it, HECK NO! So, what is it with these evangelicals? Does being a Christian preclude independent thought?

For those women who want to vote for McCain - please go ahead - and watch the rights of women dissipate.

For those in the Military who want to vote for McCain, I hope you are ready to be sent off to war with Russia, because McCain is itching to start war with Russia - He has said all Americans are Georgians.

For those who have fallen under economic hardship, You want to vote for McCain? You ain't seen hardship yet.

Thanks in advance to all you PUMAs for putting the final nails in the coffin of democracy. Thanks for getting McCain elected so he can finish the job started by W 8 years ago: ruining this once-great nation for the benefit of the rich few.
I hope you realize that McCain's police state will still find the need to "re-educate" you if you were a registered democrat. He only needs the the help of the TWO SUPREME COURT JUSTICES HE'LL LIKELY GET TO APPOINT to get the ball rolling.

I hope Mrs. Clinton will think of electing Obama more than her own political future. Enough of what SHE needs. This country needs to defeat McCain. A future with McCain as President not only discourages me about our country in the years ahead, it scares me. The damage done by the Bush administration won't be fixed and I fear what else would happen.

Hillary should ask any of her supporters who are tempted to vote for John McCain, "ARE YOU NUTS!!!!!!!"

Having that cranky old psycho roaming around the White House for four more years of failed Republican leadership would be a catastrophe for America.

She will do what she has to and will do it well. All these Clinton haters will blame her for everything that has gone wrong. It is not her fault that the country fell for Obama's lies. If he looses it is his own fault and the DNCs and the Media for allowing everyone to think that he was ready to be President and he is not. He does not have a clue what is really happening, he will be like a small child in a room full of new toys.

Hillary better put all personal feelings aside and have a performance worthy of an Academy Award. Otherwise, if it is perceived that she is not sincere and somehow appears to be sabotaging Senator Obama's nomination, her future in politics will be done.

Hey for you obamabots that think that threatning not to vote for Hillary in 2012 will help, you better think again, this is not about Hillary, this is about an inexperienced candidate that we will not vote for, you don't have to vote for her in 2012, we can just have another 16 years of republicans if you like, no big deal to me. I am educated and I have worked every day of my life since I was 15. I will survive and so will my children, so tit for tat if you want, it's up to you, what you need to do is take a good look in the mirror and blame yourself if he doesn't win, you should have known better than to vote for an empty suit to be the nominee, you are the ones to blame for voting to nominate the person that you knew could not win, based on the hope and change mantra, where is that getting him now that he has to show the substance? Blame yourselves for his downward spiral. Foolish people
