Watch a body language expert examine Clinton's speech.
(CNN) - What did Hillary Clinton's body language give away at the Democratic National Convention?
Dan Hill, a body language expert and author of "Face Time," told CNN that even while the words Clinton delivered offered an unequivocal endorsement of Barack Obama, her body language was much less affirmative.
"When she spoke about Obama, she really did not emote very much," Hill said. "The only thing she showed was a very weak smile, the cheeks didn't tend to lift very much, it was really almost what I would call a 'crocodile smile' where even the slight corners of the lips sometimes raise into a little bit of a smirk."
"I don't think that helped move the 30 percent of her supporters who say they won't vote for Obama," Hill added. "What she did do was appeal to voters at large, that she did more emotionally."
What a low way CNN !
Clinton speech = DEM unity = last nail in McSame's presidential coffin.
WAY TO GO HILLARY!!!
REALLY, CNN? Why must you work so hard to keep the "fued" storyline alive? I'm very disappointed with you. What's next? Are you going to contrast Hillary and Obama's astrological charts?
Is this CNN or Perez Hilton? Politicians are politicians, and if you ask me, they all look pretty stiff when they speak. Give us some real stories surrounding real issues. We wonder why American politics have become a joke.....
Regardless of what Hillary says you will continue to look for something negative!!
This is utter hogwash. There is no base of research that would lend credibility to such an analysis. Why don't you hire a psychic astrologer or a palm reader to give you an analysis of Hillary's true intentions? So much for journalistic integrity...
CNN – unacceptable for a legitimate news organization...
Calling Dr. Phil! Calling Dr. Phil!
If I were a gambler I would bet money that this "Body Language Expert " is a Republican.
Oh baloney....she gave a brilliant speech, a speech of a lifetime and moreover, her speech will aid and support Obama's campaign tremendously!!! Gosh. She was just fabulous and so inspiring. Yes, CNN you have taken it too far. Enough !!!!
This is the stuff o'rally does on faux. Body language expert? Really? Who's pulling the strings over there at CNN headquarters?
It may be true that Hillary is still disappointed she didn't get the nomination and she may be still be feeling the impact of that. She did what she said she would do – get behind Obama. Sure, maybe she hasn't finished dealing with the emotional piece of losing – let her have her time. Take her at her word and let's stop second guessing what she "really" means.
Is this the Onion? This is the least newsworthy news story I've seen in a long time.
I know we need to do news and analyze a story, but please, can we move on. All of this over analysis is just going shove doubt into any voter that was convinced watching her speech the first time around. This is going to overload everyone can when it comes to election time the voter will be even more confused about Obama and or Mc Cain.
I hope our media doesn't do more harm than good for our country this fall.
Does it really matter?
Crocdile smile is such a vivid description! People can force themselves to say something, but it's very hard to fake the body language unless professionally trained for acting.
Isn't this the same type of crap fox news pulled after senator clintons speech?
Cnn = fox news
How disappointing to watch CNN become just like all of the tabloids around the country. "The best political team on television" has become the "best political joke" of this campaign cycle. There's not enough real news for you to cover? I think you've all been around Jack for too long. His blind hatred of the Clintons is rubbing off on the rest of you. Whatever happened to journalistic integrity?
And while we are on the subject, if the news organizations had given fair and unbiased coverage of the primaries, I think Hillary might have had a fair chance at winning, but with all of the sexism and negative headlines directed at her, the voters were led down the path toward the destruction of her campaign.
The fact that every comment on this board is in her defense and pointing out your inadequacy, you should get a clue and bring us back to the good old days of CNN.
OK, McCNN, enough already.
Unbelievable! CNN is becoming a place to get any junk news and analysis.
Why didn't CNN analyzed Michelle's body language?
Why CNN didn't analyzed Obama's body language when he turned his back on Hillary during the state of the Union?
Is CNN getting paid by by Obama 's campaign to put such a junk out?
Jan
This guy needs to find a new hobby...Hillary was Hillary..she's not an over the top emoter. She did a fantastic job..well spoken, smart on detail and supportive in every way...Barack has to sell himself..Hillary did her job...
This is ridiculous! Hillary did EVERYTHING that was asked of her. Really–the lift of her cheeks? You've got to be kidding. Why would anyone waste space on this gibberish?
CNN You just lose me as a regular this is crazy! Body Language. Please...
maybe Hillary who is smart and a great speaker was a bit nervous and overwhelmed by the event. so what if she smirked. McCain has a weirder look and don't even ask me about Cheny's smirk. creepy
Everyone could tell. You can't expect her to support such an unqualified candidate?
