(CNN) – CNN has learned from a Democratic leadership aide that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has asked Hillary Clinton to deliver the party’s weekly radio address this weekend in advance of the Republican convention.

Democrats from the House, Senate, national party and the Obama campaign rotate delivering the speech each week. This weekend is the Senate’s turn.

Clinton is expected to repeat many of the themes of her speech on Tuesday, highlighting party unity, said the Democratic leadership aide.

  3. No Hillary = No Obama

It's Hillary Clinton as a write-in candidate in November. Obama is unacceptable and McCain, while serving our country and suffering for it, has policies & thinking that are too rigid and old fashioned. It's Hillary or no one.

Well, if Bill didn't give Obama a major boost, nothing will. I don't think anyone is more eliquent then Bill and Hillary Clinton. The King and Queen of the Democratic Party. Now it is up to Obama to deliver the goods..

Bill Clnton – among the world's greatest speakers – gave the weakest speech I've heard from Bill
The Clintons are giving as much support (publicly) as they did to John Kerry. The fact is – if Obama loses, Hilary will win in 4 years!

It will go down as the weakest Bill Clinton speeches of all time.

We need more support for Obama than "obama is ready to lead America"

Looks like the Clintons have joined the party. Seems to me that voting McCain would greatly dishonor Hillary. If you don't believe she is genuine this week, how could you trust her as presidant?

this might be off topic but bill clintons speech puts an end to ALL questions of where his loyalties lie. he answered ALL the pundits questions before they could try to open their stupid mouths and shouldn't leave any questions for the media, including cnn the communist news network, to pick through to try to find something negative towards b. obama about........

You are not a Democrat. You dishonor Hillary and everything she stands for. You spit on everything she has fought for. You are a Republican. Enjoy getting exploited by Bush and McCain.

Let me share what I saw when CNN's own camera caught members of the so called Best Political Team unaware, moments after the patriarchial sppech by former president Bill Clinton.

Pictures really speak more than a thousand words. At least three big profile members of the team, looked like they've been hit by lightning. Really grim and pensive looks in their faces.

  20. Clinton, no, wait, McCain Supporter

Whatever. At least she doesn't have to travel all over the place, stay in hotels, eat day-old sandwiches.

Personally, I wouldn't walk across the street for Obama and his followers. I hope Hillary doesn't have to.

Maybe she can do it from her living room and in her pj's. I'm sure she do the speech in her sleep.

Why do Bill and HIllary Clinton have to win the election for Obama, why can't Obama win on his own. Why isn't it his responsibility to win votes, and unite our party. What a loser, constant whining by him and his supporters, they expect the Clintons to win it for him. Hey Obama, how about you convince us on your own that you deserve our vote. You can't and that's why I won't be voting for you...
