Watch McCain's latest ad 'Tiny'.

(CNN) — John McCain’s campaign Wednesday painted Barack Obama as “dangerously unprepared” to handle the nations security threats in one of his toughest ads of this election cycle.

“Iran. Radical Islamic government. Known sponsors of terrorism,” the announcer in the McCain ad says. “Developing nuclear capabilities to ‘generate power’ but threatening to eliminate Israel.”

The 30-second spot, “Tiny,” highlights comments Obama made last May when he downplayed Iran as a “serious threat,” and said he would be willing to sit down with the Iranian president if elected in November.

Watch: McCain ad says Obama is 'dangerously unprepared'

“Terrorism, destroying Israel, those aren't ‘serious threats?’” the announcer asks. “Obama - dangerously unprepared to be president.”

The spot is the latest in a series of negative ads released during the Democratic National Convention painting the presumptive Democratic nominee as either unfit or unprepared to be the next president of The United States.

The McCain campaign is launching the ad just as the Democrats are preparing to highlight their national security policies at their convention in Denver.

Update from Obama campaign:

The Obama campaign pointed out a report that included the Illinois senator's full quote, in which he does not say that Iran does not pose a serious threat, saying only that it does not rise to the level of the Soviet threat.

"Strong countries and strong Presidents talk to their adversaries. That's what Kennedy did with Khrushchev. That's what Reagan did with Gorbachev. That's what Nixon did with Mao. I mean think about it. Iran, Cuba, Venezuela - these countries are tiny compared to the Soviet Union. They don't pose a serious threat to us the way the Soviet Union posed a threat to us. And yet we were willing to talk to the Soviet Union at the time when they were saying we're going to wipe you off the planet," Obama said.

Obama campaign spokesman Hari Sevugan released the following statement:

“John McCain is distorting Barack Obama's words to cover up for the fact that it's the failed Bush-McCain approach to foreign policy and the Bush-McCain war in Iraq that that have strengthened Iran and endangered Israel. While Barack Obama recognizes that Iran has been the biggest beneficiary of the war in Iraq and that the Bush-McCain fear of tough diplomacy has allowed Iran to spin 3800 centrifuges, threaten Israel, and fund terrorism, John McCain promises more of the same. If John McCain was serious about dealing with the threat from Iran, he would join Barack Obama's bipartisan effort in the Senate to step up sanctions on Iran instead of adopting the same tired, old Bush-Rove playbook,” said Sevugan.

Fear based politics. We won't fall for this this time!

beth   August 27th, 2008 9:28 am ET

This is the area to hit him on, since it is what most people say is their main concern about him. Obama should push his message that experience in Washington means doing things the same old way and the longer you are in Washington the more favors you owe people. He should wrap it up with Bush and McCain's agenda, which is the same, and say this is the price for all that 'experience.'

Adam Jones   August 27th, 2008 9:28 am ET

Can't McCain play anything other than the fear card?

KH   August 27th, 2008 9:26 am ET

Thanks CNN – for highlighting and promoting every ad from the McCain campaign. Hey why pay to advertise on CNN when you can get it for free!

obamacrat   August 27th, 2008 9:25 am ET

Once again the McCain camp pulls quotes out of context. When Obama was referring to the threat posed by Iran he was comparing it to the threat posed by the Soviet Union during the height of the cold war. Remember the Soviet Union, the country with thousands of nuclear missles capable of dragging the US into an all out nuclear war that would end the world as we knew it. Just like Bush (W) had a plan to go to war with Iraq before he even entered office, it is apparent that McCain has his sights set on Iran. Can you say "Deja vu"....

Nikki, Florida   August 27th, 2008 9:25 am ET

I wish he would stop the fear mongering

McCain for Pres.   August 27th, 2008 9:22 am ET

The only change you can believe in from Obama is that he will change his mind to suit his needs at the time. He has changed his mind soooooo many times, please tell me how you Obama supporters can believe a word he says.

Foreign observer   August 27th, 2008 9:20 am ET

Biden has much more foreign policies experience than McCain, Hillary and most others. But what is more important is a vision of a prosperous and peaceful world.

Lorraine   August 27th, 2008 9:16 am ET

Who cares what McCain thinks. He is going to add another war on top of what we have and if you think the economy is in the tank now, just vote for him.

Moderate Republican Supporting Obama   August 27th, 2008 9:16 am ET

I hope and pray that America does not fall for this appeal to irrational fear again! This is all Republican have left. They don't offer hope, they don't offer change, they don't offer optimism. All they offer is fear! It is very sad.

Jeff in NC   August 27th, 2008 9:14 am ET

The Obama/Biden ticket offers a combined 40 years of senate experience and probably darn close to a combined 400 IQ points.

I'm tired of these hollow wailings about Obama's experience. Most of these rants about his experience and record are from people who have never taken the time to read a single book or article he has writen, people who haven't taken the time to read a single independently sourced article on his positions and history.

There are certain people who made up their mind as soon as they heard his name and saw the color of his skin. It's not considered socially acceptable in most places to say that you won't vote for a black candidate, so the "experience" mantra is a hollow smokecreen.

Where were these people moaning on and on about experience when they elected the greenhorn neophyte Bush over the seasoned McCain in 2000? If they had listened to their own convictions and picked McCain in 2000 we wouldn't be in this bad a mess.

As much as I disagree with McCain on all the critical issues of our time, he's an intellectual and moral titan compared to Bush.

Turn off the Fox news or the MSNBC for 45 minutes and read. That's all I ask. Read the Atlantic Monthly, read Newsweek, the Economist, whatever. Just break out of the mold of your spoon fed "news" for 45 minutes and try reading something a little out of your comfort zone.

randy   August 27th, 2008 9:12 am ET

Well well well.some of you dont have pt no pot reason not to vote obama is just that he is black period. Deep down in heart you find it hard to accept that well get over it and know it today that the world is changing this is not 1945.

Carol MI   August 27th, 2008 9:11 am ET

Obama knows he doesn't have much going in foreign affairs. That's why he has a man working alongside side him tons of it. Even more than McCain!

Age doesn't always mean wisdom. Also means more years of bad decisions.

Tom   August 27th, 2008 9:10 am ET

And Obama has gone completely negative on McCain and in his usual "teenager in a suit" way, sarcastically so. Interesting for a campaign that said it would be above the "typical" political schemes. Of course they also said Obama was a great uniter yet they called upon Hillary to unite the party (even she can't save it now unless she runs for Prez). Obama isn't ready to lead – it's that simple. It's about time McCain's campaign started pointing out what Hillary and everyone else already knows.

kennywest   August 27th, 2008 9:09 am ET

When I say we need an intelligent leader which candidate comes to mind?

Greg   August 27th, 2008 9:01 am ET

I couldn't agree more with that ad, and I'm a democrat.. I can't relate to my party anymore, they are about to nominate the least qualified candidate EVER who is LOSING in the polls, I think I will vote for McCain.

Michael, an independent Canadian   August 27th, 2008 9:00 am ET

Why does CNN highlight "negative attacks" or more truthfully, childish Republican politics at a time when the Democrats are building unity through the brilliant oratory of Hillary and the "positive" leadership of Barack?

Because it is more important to generate controversy, exploit weakness and get good TV ratings. Instead of highlighting that which is "good" (which will build rather than destroy), CNN chooses to encourage a good fight......

CNN.....real strength is not shown by heated attacks and nasty politics, it is by bringing people together and building a better future. So if you truly want a better future for America, stop encouraging "negative" nasty politics and give proper recognition to the truth of bringing people together and working for the greater "good".

Eric   August 27th, 2008 9:00 am ET

More free publicity for McCain' camp. CNN, when will you start to post interesting analysis instead of just spinning for the side kick.

After the horrible job you did last night (can someone explain me why Leslie Sanchez and the other rep buffon Castallino can kill our ears with their idiocies), you could at least try to look like a news network.

Lillian White   August 27th, 2008 9:00 am ET

And did he mention that he was a POW? I bet you didn't know that.

Gary   August 27th, 2008 8:59 am ET

The question is, "Why is John McCain so prepared to be President?" Was GWB any more prepared? It is the people that you surround yourself with to provide advice. Then the decisions can be made. McCain has doen nothing more than be a doormat for Bush since the conservative wing of the Republican party beat him down in the ramp up to the Iraq war. It was at this point that the "Maverick" disappeared.

Tonya, Richmond, VA   August 27th, 2008 8:59 am ET

It's so sad how McCain is winning by putting fear in the hearts of Americans. You all FEAR Obama because you're SCARED of change.

Did you all not listen to Hillary's speech about him?

AMERICANS ARE DUMB AND IF MCCAIN IS PRESIDENT WE DESERVE WHAT WE GET. I DONT WANT TO HEAR ANYONE COMPLAINING WHEN WE GET FOUR MORE YEARS OF THE SAME AND MAYBE EVEN WORSE SCENERIO.

Dean in Florida   August 27th, 2008 8:59 am ET

Obama is not Commander-in-Chief material.

Obama is not POTUS material.

Obama is a perfect fit for the crooked, Chicago political machine that spawned him.

I feel safer already knowing that a seasoned, level-headed person will be making the tough decisions and leading our country.

Chickenhawk   August 27th, 2008 8:59 am ET

Yes, Senator McCain served our country honorable, but since that time, he been handed opportunities, and has never had a job that wasn't given to him. No work in the public sector. No wisdom in matters that affect this country. A quick temper and an aging mind. And now he's allowed himself to be handled by the Republican party so he can continue the failed policies of the Bush administration. So who's really dangerously unprepared to be President?

Karrie   August 27th, 2008 8:59 am ET

This guy is too focused on going to war. He wants to fight everybody. I’m glad I don’t have sons.

Redneck from Kentucky   August 27th, 2008 8:58 am ET

John McCain would go off half cocked and lose his temper and use nuclear force against Iran and put us squarely in the middle of another World War. John McCain is a very dangerous, angry man and not somebody who needs to be in control of this nation and its Armed Forces. He's almost 72 years old and wants to go out in a blaze of glory as Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces and as a war time President. He won't be around to suffer the consequences of his reckless and arrogant actions. We and our children will! A John McCain Presidency would be the worst thing to ever happen to this country and would destroy our future for decades to come.

I am sure that John McCain wants to frighten Americans. And I am sure that all the cowardly "soccer moms" who graduated college with nothing more potent in their brains than a hangover will all agree with him.The longer I live, the more I am convinced that only the super rich, the brain damaged, the cowards or the perennially stupid are, or become, Republicans. That is why Jimmy Swaggert and Rush Limbaugh still have lucrative jobs. They tell these idiots..."Just give me your money and I will do you thinking for you. You don't have to use your brain! Hire me to tell you what is right instead so you can claim to be mentally incompetent if things go wrong! Since you listened to me, everybody will believe that you are (mentally incompetent)!" And it becomes a sad case of wish fulfillment. Their brains turn to mush from dis-use and they do become mentally disabled.

Lisa   August 27th, 2008 8:56 am ET

So tell me, how does Iran, which doesn't have a single nuclear weapon let alone the will to use one (remember that, despite McCain's attempts to paint it otherwise, the President of Iran doesn't actually hold much real power), compare to the former USSR, which had enough nukes to irradiate the earth a hundred times over?

Not saying Iran isn't a problem, but let's be honest, it's like a grenade compared to...well, a nuke.

Obama-Biden '08. Because we're not being fooled again.

Donkey Party   August 27th, 2008 8:56 am ET

What a despicable, disgraceful, bitter old man for running his campaign like this. If Americans are too stupid to believe the fear and smear tactics of the Republicans, then they'll get what they deserve when they vote for McCain, more war, an economy in the crapper, more war, and more of your civil liberties trounced upon.

For decades McCain didn´t work eight hours a day to get things solved. Also Irak is not solved yet and despite the surge there will be no Irak peace without a true reconciliation of the different groups. US have failed on that. A civil war in Irak is only a few bullets away.

Dan, MA   August 27th, 2008 8:54 am ET

John McCain is prepared only to send all of our able bodied citizens off to die in foreign lands and run this country into the ground. I wouldn't elect the man for dog catcher, let alone President.

mollygonz   August 27th, 2008 8:54 am ET

This tactic is disgusting and it will not work this time like it worked for Bush. This is just pathetic. Please choose hope over fear people. We chose fear for the last eight years and it's been horrific. All the promises that Bush made and look where we are. We have been left out and it will continue unless we elect Obama. You want fear? Just think about McCain in office for the next four years repeating the Bush pattern. That in itself is ten times scarier than any fear mongering they can put out. McCain wants war. That is all this ad tells me and that is enough. NO WAY..NO HOW..NO MCCAIN!!

Kenneth F   August 27th, 2008 8:54 am ET

Not qualified and no experience to lead is the end game for him.

There is judgement and there is experience. What has John's experience in the senate in the past 27 years delivered ?

Who was right about not going to Iraq ? Obama

Who is right about the economy and jobs going overseas ? Obama

Who is right that we need to get away from oil ? Obama

Who is in the pockets of big oil and the top 1% ? McCain

I remember the GOP attacked JFK for lack of experience when he was running against Nixon. NIXON HAD TERRIBLE JUDGEMENT AND LOTS OF EXPERIENCE.

God help us, can you imagine how the Cuban Missile Crisis would have been resolved if it was NIXON in the White House instead of JFK ? We wouldn't be here.

McCain is ANOTHER NIXON. War loving, hot tempered AND DANGEROUS.

MNTruth   August 27th, 2008 8:52 am ET

McCain is desparate and knows that a united democratic party + a good amount of independents = retirement home time instead of whitehouse time for him. And if you think McCain sucks, just hope that he doesn't pick Tim Pawlenty as his VP...Timmy has a man crush on both Bush and McCain, and hasn't even learned how to run MN yet much less be ready to serve as VP. MN's crumbling infrastructure and stagnant economy have a direct correlation to Pawlenty.

Last night, when Mitt Romney was asked what the differences are between Bush & McCain, he couldn't ANSWER!
We'll take a leader who has made fewer decisions, perhaps, but those he's made are the right ones, versus a country-club, old-politicing, out-of-touch, tired old man, who perhaps has made more decisions in quantity, but certainly NOT in quality!!! OBAMA/BIDEN O8!

CM in Va   August 27th, 2008 8:47 am ET

I'm sick and tired of listening to the phoney McCain ads. Despiration at the highest level. He's a Bush wolf in sheep's clothing and I wouldn't vote for him if he was the only candidate running.

Tom in Delaware   August 27th, 2008 8:46 am ET

Of course McCain is better qaulified on National Security and Foreign Affairs...he's actually lived it, not just read about it, or talked about it; But the Democrats can always look on the bright side...just as Medvedev has Putin, so Barack Obama has Joe Biden...wow.

Joyce Becker   August 27th, 2008 8:46 am ET

No more mcbush, mccheney, mccain. Obama for 8 years!!!!

Erik   August 27th, 2008 8:46 am ET

This wheeze is getting old. What prepares a perosn for the Presidency? There is no one right path, and "experience" (that is, advanced age and decrepitude in some cases) does not replace vision, statesmanship, diplomacy and INTELLIGENCE. McCain lacks these qualifications.

ML - California   August 27th, 2008 8:46 am ET

Obama is INEXPERIENCED in world affairs and national security.
He is not reaching out to the American people. He wants to do things his way!!! Back to the "drawing board" for some more learning Obama
and learn some manners!!!

Steve - southern Illinois   August 27th, 2008 8:46 am ET

More fear mongering from Karl Rove to scare nitwits into voting for a republican. What a surprise.

Nathan, IA   August 27th, 2008 8:45 am ET

Ha! Diplomacy for Obama, bomb bomb bomb Iran for McShame!

Obama 08!

Foreign observer   August 27th, 2008 8:45 am ET

McCain is far away of understanding the complexity of the modern world. He views the world with a soldiers eyes whose mind never returned from Vietnam. He will need advisors for each and every task. With his maverick attitude he will fail on world policies. No,no,no – McCain is badly prepared to lead.

BGIV in NC   August 27th, 2008 8:45 am ET

That's right John – Make 'em vote out of FEAR. Between you and Bush we are more hated than ever and going to start more wars is not the answer. NO TO MCWAR.

Super delegate NJ   August 27th, 2008 8:44 am ET

Deb, Allentown, PA...lets get it straight, who started going back on their promises? Do you remember the issue around public financing? Enough with the spin, it is what it is. OBAMA IN UNELECTABLE. Sorry!

Fark you McCain   August 27th, 2008 8:44 am ET

McCain, do you have anything positive to say about anything other than POW POW POW POW POW POW Vietnam, war, war, war, war, POW POW POW.

We get it. You were a POW. But you are a terrible person.

Go away. You are not good for America.

proud army and navy mom   August 27th, 2008 8:44 am ET

john king and anderson cooper mentioned that mccain barely pays any money to release his ads because he gets so much free airtime by the networks. when will it stop?

mccain is a lying, warmonger who is dead wrong about the war and the economy. the only people who will vote for him are the rich and the blind.

David   August 27th, 2008 8:44 am ET

Please No Obama
Only 193 Days in the Senate, No Military experieince, no executive experience.

When has he ever led?

TC, Fl   August 27th, 2008 8:43 am ET

"Fifty-eight percent of those questioned think Obama can handle the responsibilities of commander-in-chief, but that pales in comparison to the 78 percent who feel that way about Senator McCain, R-Arizona."

The American people know the truth, not you Obama-blivions. It's about time you opened your eyes!!!

BUSHED!!!   August 27th, 2008 8:43 am ET

CNN) — John McCain’s campaign Wednesday painted Barack Obama as “dangerously unprepared” to handle the nations security threats in one of his toughest ads of this election cycle.
**McWar is Dangerously prepared for 4more years of George W Bush** He uses his POW staus as a Political Tool...BOMB BOMB BOMB BOMB...McWar is more of a Serious Threat Than Iran...and He is using FEAR tactics to win An Election ...Shame on You OLD HOG JAW

Chip   August 27th, 2008 8:43 am ET

SCARE SCARE SCARE... Oooh, I'm so scared... I think the boogie man is coming too. These guys are a one trick pony... Try to scare everyone about Barack Obama.

Obama / Biden 08!!!

Charles I Am   August 27th, 2008 8:43 am ET

Does this man have anything to say without war in it. To borrow a Phrase from Joe Biden. McCain whole reason for being elected is Iraq, Iran and "I was a POW". GOOD GRIEF!!!!!!

Newton   August 27th, 2008 8:43 am ET

Bring it on, John. You can scare some of the people all of the time (and so on...)

Joe the Troll   August 27th, 2008 8:43 am ET

How amusing. If Obama is so unprepared, why are the Republicans scrambling to negotiate a pullout, like Obama wanted? If he's so clueless, how is it that they are suddenly noticing Afghanistan after he made a speech about it?

We know who the lost people really are.

No Way No How No Mccain   August 27th, 2008 8:43 am ET

More and More Negative ads from the Warmongers they are pathetic if you are a republican i don't see how you could kiss you kids at night knowing you support these poor excuse for man. All they offer is More War oh Yeah More fear too if you let these Republicans sway you this year it truly will be the Death of The American Dream!

Irma in North Carolina   August 27th, 2008 8:43 am ET

Lets ask the question what is Mccain prepared for. To bring in four more years of Bush, and to start another war.He is prepared to bring in the puma supporters to vote for him so who are so childish, stupid and racits. And another president in the white house who commited adultry. Is that the kind of moral values we want in white house. And his wife is prepared to buy gas for peoples cars, make their house payment, and get people the drugs they need. And plenty of beer partys. Wake up americaa please and vote for Obama

Dale, Kentucky   August 27th, 2008 8:43 am ET

The funny thing is, that gullable Americans fall for these types of ads. I would love to hear John McCain tell us what he would do as President, instead of what, he thinks Obama can not do.

Nik   August 27th, 2008 8:42 am ET

If you vote for McCain, you should be REQUIRED to enlist for his WWIII.

ANDY DAAS   August 27th, 2008 8:42 am ET

McCain is a WAR MONGER he is the dangerous one.

ben   August 27th, 2008 8:42 am ET

Negative campaign ads are the same as ugly grafity painted on public buildings and other publicly used places. Do we want a president with the mentality of a sneaky individual who creeps out at night with his can of spray paint and scribbles garbage on walls? I beg both of these candidates to stop this low road campaign. Didn't Hillarys speach last night tell you something? If she had played her whole campaign in the same vein she would have won! She chose the low road and lost.

Randy, PA   August 27th, 2008 8:42 am ET

McCain is so pathetic. Just because he was a prisoner in a bad war doesn't mean he knows how to lead a country. McCain is like a McDonalds' hamburger, there's a lot of hype about how great it is, but it's thin, not very good, and you're hungry a hour or so after.

Vote McCain and expect another war somewhere. Killing people to make them democratic is all he and the Republicans in government knows.

Paul   August 27th, 2008 8:41 am ET

NO WAY, NO HOW, NO MCCAIN!!

THANK YOU HILARY.. REALLY! YOU'VE EARNED MY RESPECT AGAIN

Tony   August 27th, 2008 8:41 am ET

McCain is dancing on the button and eager to push it. So much for National Security!

Denise   August 27th, 2008 8:41 am ET

My, my, worried, aren't they? I'd be worried too, if my candidate was loosing this badly. Obama has 260 Electoral votes, mcCain has 176.

War for your children   August 27th, 2008 8:41 am ET

This is John McCain. He wants another war. He is a military man in love with war. He comes from a family of miitary officers and this is all they understand. Military diplomacy is at the end of a gun. If he gets elected we will see a draft and a war with Iran and eventually the whole Middle East. Don't trust this man. He will be worse then Bush.

Chips   August 27th, 2008 8:41 am ET

In stead of attack ads on Obama. You better start worrying about, if any one is even going to show up at your convention.

Joe, Pomona, California   August 27th, 2008 8:41 am ET

McCain often cites Ahmadinejad as the "leader" of Iran – which isn't actually true. In a complex nation, in a complex world, Ahmadinejad is only president, a vastly less significant office than Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei. When this was pointed out to him, McCain brushed facts aside and said, "It doesn't matter. What matters is that's what Americans THINK he is."

Now that's scary. McCain is not smart enough to be President.

Erica   August 27th, 2008 8:40 am ET

Why do I feel like it is 2004 again and Mccain and his clan are once again trying to scare us into making the Wrong choice again!!!
Not this Time Buddy, No way, No How, No Mccain, Cheney, Bush or Rove. We are taking our Country Back

MJC   August 27th, 2008 8:40 am ET

I liked Warner's speech and I really liked Hillary's. They both did a great job. I was disappointed with the comments made afterward by the media. They continue to stir the pot and deflate peoples spirits. Warner was talking directly to a group of people (rural Americans) by letting them know "exactly" what they will face if McCain is elected. He used very powerful words. However, the commentators tore it apart. I guess they didn't hear what I heard.

Obama/Biden '08

McCain has already lied when he stated that he would run a clean campaing, now howw can anybody trust him with this country he believes he can go to any country and make them do what he wants i guess he wil will make Rice his sectary of state the are the same.

SORRY MCWAR BUT PUTTING YOU IN OFFICE IS WHAT IS DANGEROUS............

Brian   August 27th, 2008 8:39 am ET

General Tarkin in "Star Wars"... "Fear, Fear of this battle station will keep the local systems in line". Folks, it's time for the rebel alliance to take back this country from the fear mongering empire.

Ken from Michigan   August 27th, 2008 8:39 am ET

Twins in the twin Cities, John and George! Too funny, sadly, too true!

P. Junkie   August 27th, 2008 8:39 am ET

Wow. John McCain is definitely swinging for the bleachers. He wants to hit a home run. Funny thing, I think even Hank Aaron & Babe Ruth will agree (I cite them because they are the true home run leaders of MLB) if a batter tries to hit a home run they usually stike/fly out. Such batters areso focused on the glory of a home run that they abandon the fundamentals of hitting.

Good luck John in hitting that home run. And thank you for being such an undisciplined maverick.

No Way No How No Mccain   August 27th, 2008 8:39 am ET

More of this Warmonger all he talk about is war war war won't Old Mcwarmonger go fight Russia all on his own with is cripple self can't even walk straight these Republicans come out with two negative ads a day because they don't have any soloutions to Healthcare, Or getting People Jobs all they know is war war war and drill drill drill Obama is the best choice easily I could make this choice if i were dog. No Way No How No Mccain! No Way No How No Mccain

they all have many many homes

no more mcbush, mccain, mcclinton

Super delegate NJ   August 27th, 2008 8:38 am ET

CNN your candidate is not ready to lead and he will not lead. What this network needs to do is come to terms with reality by first updating your opinion poll. The more you people put up numbers to favor Obama the more Mc Surge surges. That is the truth and you can take it to the BANK.

minnie   August 27th, 2008 8:38 am ET

He is so desperate because he left down his body's pow that now he want a war for his own satisfaction no matter what. Shame on you McInsane. No McCain as president.

Greg, NY   August 27th, 2008 8:38 am ET

Even Anderson Cooper mentioned last night that you guys have been giving McCain free airtime for his ads. This ad is incredibly misleading and out of context, if you are going to run his ads for free, why don't you try reporting on how they are false at least?

Ken from Michigan   August 27th, 2008 8:37 am ET

CNN is incredible!, um, this is the Democratic Parties time!, quit focusing on the GOP's response, they've got all next week to the same. I used to love CNN for your even reporting but now you're slanting way, way to the GOP's side. Quit it already! (and get that "sounds from the floor" meter off the screen, it's useless and just junks up the screen). I watch the other major networks for the keynote speeches and have been switching to MSNBC more often because of of all the junk on the screen. Get it together people!

Filipina   August 27th, 2008 8:37 am ET

What a sick ad, very low, NO WAY, NO HOW, NO MCBUSH!!!!!

Obama/Biden

Bruce   August 27th, 2008 8:36 am ET

The real danger is McCain and the untruths and out right LIES that they call ADDs

shirley "60"   August 27th, 2008 8:36 am ET

HRC SAYS IN HER DEBATE AND LAST NIGHT THAT HE IS.

LET IT GO   August 27th, 2008 8:36 am ET

John McCain stop playing the POW card, we know you serve and serve will , but that doesn't entitle you to be President. Started talking about how you are going to fix this downhill encomic that is getting worst by the minute. Thanks to your friend's Bush and Cheney.

Rudy NYC   August 27th, 2008 8:36 am ET

McCain is "Dangerously Trigger-Happy".

The phone rang a 3 AM three weeks ago, the Georgia Crisis. McCain called for troops to actively combat the Russians. Obama denounced the Russian actions, as did the rest of the world. McCain wanted a shoot-out. That was his first option.

The Georgian president called out to McCain that he did not need empty rhetoric, he needed the troops McCain had called for. McCain backed off from the position, but still patted himself on the back for being "ready".

Pam   August 27th, 2008 8:35 am ET

Still waiting for a McCain ad that tell us what he's going to do for us instead of just bashing Obama. Guess we'll be waiting a long time.

T GUY   August 27th, 2008 8:34 am ET

THE ONLY PERSON THATS DANGEROUS IS MCCAIN. TRIGGER HAPPY. THAT ISN'T GOING TO SELL. HE IS A ONE DIMENSIONAL PERSON, WAR. HE DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THE NEW THREATS .

OBAMA.............08

Gilles   August 27th, 2008 8:34 am ET

And McCain is dangerously prepared !

Deb, Allentown, PA   August 27th, 2008 8:32 am ET

I am SOOOOO incredibly sick of McCain's negative ads. Even if I had any predisposition to voting for him, which I don't, his attacks on Obama, after promising to run an above-board campaign, are over-the-top and detrimental to the health of this nation.

No President makes decisions on their own. Didn't Bush teach us that? That's why Obama chose Biden, as a partner and as counsel on foreign policy. Biden was the right choice and Obama is the right choice.

No McCain.

Linda from Prescott AZ   August 27th, 2008 8:32 am ET

McCain is a warmonger, womanizer, Keating 5 member, liar and a man that will go to any lengths to get his own war if elected. He's W all over again, just older and he's a bitter old guy who never had to work to get anything for himself. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth (like Bush senior, only not as nice) and he made sure to marry money.

VON BISMARK,Vienna.   August 27th, 2008 8:31 am ET

War and fear mongering -the only trump card left.Pathetic!

Tony   August 27th, 2008 8:30 am ET

NO WAY, NO HOW, NO MCCAIN!

Tony   August 27th, 2008 8:29 am ET

McCain is desperate and no one should be surprised that he and the republicans have pulled out their big box of fear tactics.

Desperate people do desperate things. No news here. Move on!
