From

(CNN) – Barack Obama and Joe Biden are set to hit several battleground states following the conclusion of the Democratic Nation Convention Thursday evening, the Obama campaign announced Wednesday.

The tour is dubbed "On the Road to Change,” and will feature stops in Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania – all states expected to play a critical roll this fall.

The trip will be the first extended campaign leg featuring Obama and Biden together, as well as both candidates’ spouses.

The Democrats are by now aware that America cannot miss this great opportuned moment to pursue its path of frontline history. It is the appointed moment for Americans to champion the rewriting of world history with Obama as the engraved symbol of fulfilled world unity in the White House. Hillary demonstrated yesterday she will go down the historical lane as one of the principal architects.
This is something that will slam a dead blow to ever-resurfacing racism. Every right-thinking humanistic American will offer a chance to the force of arguments rather than the argument of force in America's watchdog role in world politics and the economy. Americans are aware that for a more rational use of bombs to settle terrorist scores and a better concentration on the economic welfare of all Americans and the world at large, Obama has the better chance. Obama and Biden must on this occasion use this McCain experience propaganda aginst him. Bush stood a better chance four years ago on the basis of previous experience; yet he's going down in history as the worst American president on all fronts. I think Americans must read Bush into McCain. .

Jessie–in case you did not know, the reason there are no McCain positive comments on these blogs is because they are not posted. This is a left wing blog site! You young people should educate yourselves in something other than college prof rhetoric. This one will probably not appear, either.

Senators Obama and Biden will do an excellent job on their tour together. They will be even better as President Obama and Vice-President Biden starting January 20th 2009.

NO OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ron Ft. Myers   August 27th, 2008 2:39 pm ET

Biden has been in politics forever, just like McCain and he has not done a thing of significance. Also, he is an "old" man by the current definition. So what does he bring to the table but a loud mouth and a bunch of useless rhetoric, much like Queen Nancy and chamber maid Barbara Boxer.

All three are windbags. Obama should have sucked up and really made a change, as he professes and not recruit an old has been like Biden. I wonder if Biden would give up his over inflated pension and attempt to live on social security like all of us blue collar slobs he says he represents.

How does anyone buy into the program that any of these politicians can relate to the "common" man?

They voted huge pension increase for themselves over the years ,while we keep paying more and more into social security. That doesn't sound like the actions of people that say,"They're just like us." They always court the elderly regarding social security, yet they do not participate in the program. I wonder why?

Mike in an RNC war room   August 27th, 2008 2:37 pm ET

McCain got his party's nomination clinched three months before Obama... how come it's taken him a week longer then Obama to pick a running mate?

Oh yeah, because McCain, surprise surprise, is the stuffed shirt. He's the empty suit. He's the one who has to follow whatever Obama does. He's the one without any original ideas.

And people are planning to vote for him? Wow.

Independent-Latina-for-OBAMA   August 27th, 2008 2:37 pm ET

GOOD, WONDERFUL! SOMETHING POSITIVE AT LAST, ON CNN ABOUT SEN. OBAMA!

WITH THE FAILURES OF BUSH/CHENEY/MCCAIN! AND THE FACT, THAT ONLY........31% OF THE PEOPLE SUPPORT BUSH/CHENEY! YOU'D THINK CNN WOULD BE FOCUSING ON THOSE FAILURES RATHER THAN PUTTING DOWN...... PUBLISHING RUMORS........ AND NOT............FOCUSING ON THE HISTORIC SIGNIFICANCE OF THE OBAMA CAMPAIGN!

SHAME ON YOU CNN...........WE HAVE EXPECTED BETTER.......OR ARE YOU NOW.............FOX NEWS?

James Fuchs   August 27th, 2008 2:36 pm ET

While everyone is bemoaning the fact of the dispirited economy, could someone explain why people are still taking vacations? Apparently, the Disney corporation hasn't had to shut the doors to their amusement parks because of lack of attendance. Notably, Americans have suffered with their "staycations" while the cost of gas (up to today) dropped.
Yup. We're in the tank because of the economy... and now, we cringe holding our guns and bibles, etc. etc. etc.
Folks, for my two cents (which apparently cost 7 cents to produce), politicians are politicians. They are not public servants. I say this because they're there for themselves and if oh, something good happens for their area, well then, so much the better.
A public servant is a police officer, a fire fighter, a teacher, a medical specialist (doctor, nurse, EMT).
It's time we let our "elected officials" know who they work for and they'd better get on the job, because just like at the turn of the 20th century, there's always someone waiting more desirous of the job.

Oh, and Joe Biden is, was and forever shall be in my mind a PLAGARIST! I guess that means he can't concieve of an independent thought.

Mike in an RNC war room   August 27th, 2008 2:34 pm ET

Mike in Texas, Mike in Arizona, Mike in Syracuse New York, yeah, they're all me.

I can't believe there are people who actually buy what I'm peddling. I can't believe there are people willing to vote for my boss McCain. But hey, sucker born every minute, and doing this pays my bills.

I don't even have to change my posting name! These people are so gullible!

Spent 20+ years in AZ feeling like I was the only Democrat in the whole state. Am in Texas now and hope Obama and Biden come to Dallas/Ft Worth. Yes part of this area is major Bush country but there are quite a few Democrats here too. PLEASE COME TO THE DFW AREA BARAK AND JOE. I'm 50+ years old and have never felt like I had any say in the political process until this year. There are quite a few independant voters here (being independant is a part of Texas history) . Texas has quite a few Electorial College votes. O and B can make a BIG difference here. PLEASE COME!!!!

Against MLK Day before he was for it.

Against big government until he and Bush were for it. (more later)

As an Obama/Biden supporter, I have to say I am really proud of some of Hillary's supporters today.

I would like to personally welcome them back home. I understand that it takes time to adjust and that's fine. You make me feel like you really do care about our troops and our economy.

I appreciate your efforts at unity in realizing that we must put a democrat in the whitehouse. thank you!

Baze   August 27th, 2008 2:20 pm ET

This whole election process is turning into a black eye for America. It's bringing out all the undercover racism, chaveunism, and just plain ignorance still plaguing this country. Hopefully the end result will unite the country, but it sure doesn't look that way right now.

Jim - Catholic male   August 27th, 2008 2:13 pm ET

Obama/Biden are smart to concentrate on states like Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania – where McCain doesn't own any houses!

Choosing Biden helps Obama enormously because Biden has a background similar to many working people in these three states.

Am I correct to say Joe Biden would be the FIRST Catholic Vice President in US history? That connection also helps in these three states.

Obama/Biden   August 27th, 2008 2:06 pm ET

John McCaim is dangerous for the country because four more years of Bush liking will bring more threat to our country. Obama/Biden ticket is very strong on national security and Biden as well as Obama is well respected around the world. Obama has better judgment on every single issues that we need on a president than mccain. That is why we must vote Democratic this November to prevent a second 9/11 and have someone who is ready for what ever decission to defend our national security in case of any plot.

Willie Horton   August 27th, 2008 2:06 pm ET

I'm voting McCain, because:

1) They'll never let a non-white man be president.
2) If we change, it will show the terrorists we're weak.
3) McCain got caught by the enemy, so that gives him more experience to lead.
3) Obama may inspire people around the world, but he only inspires the majority of people here.
4) Even though Hillary ran a horrible campaign, with an ex-president as an advisor, and is still 20 skillion in debt, she would obviously apply here ecomomic experience to fix our problems if she were president.
5) Michelle Obama is smart like Hillary. She's also only 44 years old, which means she'll pull a Hillary Clinton and come back as president in 12 years. Then that's another non white and a woman we'll have to deal with.
6) People that think $4.00 a gallon gas, and high food prices are bad are just crybabies. People in the Great Depression didn't whine like this.
7) The Republican Party, more specifically the religious right and neo-conservatives are gaga over McCain. McCain and whomever he chooses will bring out more votes than a Obama/Biden ticket could even imagine.
8) The guy that left his wife when she was ill for barbie looks better than a bunch of non-whites in a white house.

Annette   August 27th, 2008 1:54 pm ET

Folks we all are upset, frustrated, disappointed and just plain want this contest over. But the reality is we have two choices in November whether we like it or not. If you decide not to exercise your right to vote. Then stop complaining you get what you deserve NOTHING! Let's finally defeat the repubs!

nightmax   August 27th, 2008 1:21 pm ET

To all you folks who want to call yourselves AMERICAN'S - HERE IS YOU BIG CHANCE! VOTE DEMOCRATE FOR THIS NEXT ELECTION.

We are in desperate times and its gonna get WORSE BEFORE IT GETS ANY BETTER! I have watched the Democratic presidential convention this week and although I had my doubts in the very beginning, they are pulling it together.

On one hand, I too wanted Hillary Clinton of the choices I was given as President. But this is not about race, creed, color . . . Obama may be inexperienced in a lot of things, but he has done his homework and has stepped up to the plate in this election. That's one of the main reasons he went after an olfer, more mature candidate for the VP. In Joe Binden, I believe he will do all that he has hoped, and dreamed for the American people.

How many of you can honestly say that you, your parents, or even quite possibly your grandparents Aren't suffering from eight years of the Bush trails? Enough!

What I do care about right now, TODAy is healing this country. It's heart wrenching to see and hear about people who have worked hard being laid off because their jobs have been sent elsewhere like to India or Argentina because they can hire employees for next to nothing, and didn't want to pay an employee who had already given them ten or more years at less.
For the woman above who is unsure whether Obama is one of US . I realize this may be a new experience for you - the opportunity to vote is a serious one and should not be taken lightly. If you have a news paper, READ IT! If you have television - WATCH IT. Listen to what people are saying. Do you honestly want four more years of this? Lynn, come on, think about this, and review yesterday's convention.

Mr. Kuchinch told us American's HOW IT REALLY IS - if that didn't or doesn;'t bring it all forward, ask yourself this, do you want your children to inherit the deficit left from the Bush Administration?

Trillions of dollars that although is borrowed no doubt from CHINA can you imagine the stress and strain they will have to bear?

Ridiculous!! If we don't make a decision now, it will affect/effect us for many, many years to come. Obama and Michelle are no different than the Mighty Hillary and Bill Clinton. Sometimes, pride doesn't allow us to bow out gracifully and when you see people like Bill ranting and raving about a man who basically did exactly what he did so many years ago, a new Governor at that, it's honestly upsetting.

But the truth of the matter is this, a man with a vision, who is seeing thing much clearer than the Clintons might be is making his stand in the political arena. He isn't chasing young girls who wear rose colored underwear, the same age as his daughter, he isn't allowing his wife to suffer at home with breast cancer while he is on the presidential road looking for fresh meat, he isn't at some friends home in Texas shooting wild birds and accidently shoots the friend in the face (they were all probably drinking anyway). He isn't in the White house behind closed doors making deals with foreign leaders about oil fiields they hope to acquire - he is standing up for CHANGE and Bringing BACK TO America those things that the ones in government now, those same elected officials who swear they are for the American people, but can't remember how many houses they own, when in realiity they aren't all condemiums, but actual homes in places like Arizona!

I want change, and I want a government that is for the People. Remember that New Orleans was a tremendous gaff on the Bush Administration, the crime rate in America is at an ALL TIME HIGH, many of us might be living in great neighborhoods and do not see people 85 years old going into a Check Cashing place in California and being robbed immediately the minute their foot stepped outside the door, or what about the drug level in America? There are so many, many people on drugs here in California that contrary to what you or anyone else might think - its not the Black man or his momma, or his family, its the whites in America who are on METH.

I can't tell you how many white young women I run into who are on the transit system, with more than one child ON WELFARE! It isn't the people of color who are on welfare as is what's normally reported. I am just appalled at all of this now, and can't really understand the hurtful, misconceptions, and untruths that are being reported about Barack Obama. What I see and all I see if that Mr. Obama is cultured, he might be of mixed race but by 2013 all of America will be mixed race. He is a Harvard Law graduate, he had every oppportunity to work for a large law firm but chose to work with the people.

What is it about all of this that is all on television, the radio, the Internet, and in Newspapers. Forget Bill Clinton's temper tantrums, please! I will never forgive him for going after a young college student when Hillary was at out working harder than any woman has in her life (probably out doing all she could to get women, and Americans on the road for change). He lost all crediability with me when he did this. I had hoped that John Edwards would make a wonderful choose also, but he omitted the seual affair he had with a common televsion producer. What? Are you kidding?

See my point? You vote for whomever, but for me, its Barack Obama and Joe Biden!

Socialists for Obama   August 27th, 2008 1:08 pm ET

Ah yes, like all rock stars, Obama is going on tour, AND on a bus.

Of course he's bringing his Opening Act with him (Biden).

True to rock star form, there will be many, many fawning groupies (so-called journalists) willing to prostitute themselves in a multitude of indecent positions, backstage and on the bus, too, I'm sure. And they do this, all for a chance to help the flashy rock star achieve platinum status. The fawning press always helps untalented rock stars, you know. Case in point: Springsteen.

And the truly sad part, is the rock star will be achieving it on the merits of a fancy light show and a poorly-written, substance-free, bubble-gum pop song (Britney Spears, anyone?). Bus tour, indeed.

Remeber that Biden is not the front runner on this ticket. We need to hear from Obama. If he cannot explain himself on issues such as taxes, War, Health Care, Social Security, Housing Market, Jobs etc then Biden was/is a waste.

So far he's done a horribly job on telling us what he's going to do. Saying the word "Change" means nothing. We all have common sense and know that somethings will change. That fact is evident in his (Obama's) poll numbers.

He's needs to talk fast. Not about McCain but about himself and issues we face, otherwise my vote is for McCain.

Senator Clinton's speech laid the groundwork for unity, now lets see the two of you build it up, show us a President/V.P. we can unify behind. Show us you REALLY CARE about whats going on in this nation, our economy, affordable health care, our rights to freedom of choice and gay marriage. Show us you can unify us to rebuild what 8 years of the worst administration this nation has known has torn apart and ruined .

All the negative comments about what was said in the primaries will go away– it was an election folks-get over it.
Obama-Biden will usher in a time for our Nation to get some healing-the economy will be better, the war(whim) of king george will be ended, and we will be on our way to regaining our rightful place in the world.

I'm certain they will meet and greet thousands with heart felt joy. Despite the fact that neither have offered one iotta of common sense recommendations on actions to:

-reduce foreign aid and the national debt
-fix social security
-fund the medical plan they are proposing
-increase jobs with realistic ideals (not a bunch of high tech post-graduate jobs in the energy field–but real blue collar jobs that approach the median income goals).
-my recommendation–let the bus run out of gas and see what new kind of energy the two of them find to put in the gas tank. Also–eliminate their allowances–and see if they are still so excited about their agenda when they themselves have to pay the ticket.

Patty   August 27th, 2008 12:27 pm ET

Hope and Change are a good thing IF it actually happens and happens for the good of Americans. Too many times we hear promises and then those promises are broken. Words are that, just words. Actions speak and we will see just as we have in the past.

I for one of many can't help but think that the Dem nominee should have been Hillary, especially after last night but it is too late for that. I was amazed at the reaction from the crowd as she spoke. They seemed to be mesmerized by her words and I know some thought the same as me.

Mike, Syracuse NY   August 27th, 2008 12:26 pm ET

Why do we have to choose judgement over experience when in McCain we get both. Both Biden and Clinton say Obama isn't ready. last night, Hillary said nothing to contradict that. Of course they now have to be 'good Democrats' and suck up the party line. That doesn't mean what they said before is not true.

McCain = Bush and as we all know the approval rating of the Supreme Court appointed Bush are the lowest since polling began (Cheney's approval ratings are lower). Even the Republicans have abandoned Bush, the worst Presiden the U.S. has ever had.
Biden and the Democrats need to take the gloves off and go after McCain (and Mittens Romney, Joe LIEberman, or whatever character he selects as his VP) on his record and the issues facing this country. We need positive change and someone like grandpa two-faced McCain could never deliver that.

How wonderful!!! Obama/Biden have soooo much more foreign policy experience than McBush will every hope to have. At least Obama has been out of this country before he takes office. Bush never was and McBush's experience is all old, out dated and he has NO idea about global affairs!!! Obama worked with Hagel and Lugar on Nuclear proliferation and spent a lot of time overseas with both men. Biden is at the top of the game and out shines McBush by about 15 years!!!
Go Obama/Biden 08

Tom - Cary, NC   August 27th, 2008 12:22 pm ET

Will the bus steal fuel from Denver's city pumps, the way the convention organizers tried to?

fella from Chicago   August 27th, 2008 12:21 pm ET

Like the campaign I'm sure they'll pick up a flat tire along the way.

Go McCain!!!

Pres. timber and a sapling   August 27th, 2008 12:21 pm ET

LOOKOUT JOE, told you if you see the bus pull up your in Obamas crosshairs for a pavement piazza. Joe did you like Hillary last night yeah, she is the right candidate and Barack is still writting his coronation speech. This whole thing between Barack and Hillary is like comparing Presidential timber and a sapling.

2012 Clinton ;-)

NO TO OBAMA   August 27th, 2008 12:21 pm ET

I always thought that MOTIVATION is the basis to the things that people do, so psychologists and other learned people tell us.

MOTIVATION is built on HOPE and expectation for CHANGE. If you are not motivated, you cannot hope, and you will NEVER appreciate Change even when it is right in your face.

So, America should start, not with experience (because this has consistently failed us– just look at Chaney & Bush–after 8 years), but with HOPE and DETERMINATION, that if we work hard, Change will come about with Blessings. Hope, like FAITH, is all that we need for Idiots who are missing this important message!!!!

Fatima   August 27th, 2008 12:19 pm ET

I don't get why is everyone asking about Obama's substance. The guy has been talking over and over about how and what will he do to achieve the goals he laid out. Why people insist snot to understand ?

John Smith   August 27th, 2008 12:18 pm ET

I would like to post about the comments that Senators Clinton and Biden said about Senator Obama.

During the primaries, Senators Clinton and Biden were in competition with each other. Competition, not cooperation. Each was trying to win the nomination. So each emphasized the weaknesses of their opponent and minimized their opponent’s strengths. This is how political races are run.

Now that the DNC has nominated (to be finalized this week) Senator Obama, the competition is no longer between Senators Clinton, Biden, and Obama. The competition is between Senator Obama and Senator McCain.

Now it is appropriate for Senators Clinton and Biden to emphasize the weakness of their opponent (Senator McCain) while emphasizing the strengths of Senator Obama.

No flip flopping, no deception. It is just the nature of political contests. In the preliminaries you have one set of opponents (your political party) and in the General Election you have another set of opponents (the opposing political party).

Is it really so hard to understand that at one point in the competition Senator Biden said “bad” things about Senator Obama and that at another point in the competition Senator Biden will say “good” things about Senator Obama?

ltdlth   August 27th, 2008 12:18 pm ET

Just saw a pole asking if Obama made the right choice for his VP. 67% said NO! The first decision he has had to make since starting his bid for President and already 67% think it was a wrong choice - tell me you people are not going to vote for this man!

wlb59   August 27th, 2008 12:17 pm ET

Michelle and Sen Clinton set the unity in motion and were outstanding.

Let's all pitch in and go to Hillaryclinton.com and just give 5-10 dollars and wipe out the debt from the primary. Then go to Barackobama.com and contribute what you can and take back our place in this beatiful country.

United we stand.

Fabulous! THAT ought to knock McCain's "Double Talk Express" off the road once and for all! Give 'em hell, Barack and Joe!

Republicans for *yawn*   August 27th, 2008 12:15 pm ET

As a catholic Republican, I simply cannot support John McCain. Maybe Barr, but most likely no one. My party has become a shell of what it used to be and John McCain will not change that.

McCain and his temper: Dangerous for America

Don   August 27th, 2008 12:14 pm ET

Too bad it is not going to be Hillary with the Democratic nomination. It would be like driving Miss Daisy.

And just think no more having to worry about health care for our government is going to pay for it.

You Gotta Be Kidding Me   August 27th, 2008 12:13 pm ET

Funny that Obama is using Biden as his attack dog considering Biden doesn't just have a skeleton in his closet, he's got a whole cemetary.

Hey Jerk   August 27th, 2008 12:12 pm ET

Hey Hippies

Tell us all about McCain and his solutions. He has been on the Bush bus for the last 8 years. You must be one of those corporate slime balls that the republicans reward. I am sick of hearing about his security crap. They have caused more security issues since they have been in office. I think donald duck could do better.

Bulldog   August 27th, 2008 12:11 pm ET

John McCON says he has "experience" but in what? There were plenty of Presidential canidates that had more Washington experience than McCain but they did not make it. Experience is only as good as the person who has it and John McCain has been corrupt and immoral in his own actions during all that "experience". Give it up.

Master Yoda   August 27th, 2008 12:10 pm ET

Over, I wish january was already here and this would be.

Schneider (D) - CA   August 27th, 2008 12:10 pm ET

Informal poll for McCain voters:

On a scale from 1 to 10,
with 1 being 100% for McCain and everything he stands for –
and 10 being 100% anti-Obama (I'd vote for a cow flop over Obama etc)

Why are you voting for McCain?

No rhetorical swipes at Obama's character, experience etc, just a number.

And since most of you are easily confused, if you are both, then the answer is 5. Understand?

MikeH   August 27th, 2008 12:09 pm ET

"On the road to change" is a dumb slogan. They should come up with something better, like the "Returning America to Prosperity" tour, or the "Constitutional Express".

What they have now sounds like something a secret Republican spy would recommend.

Tom   August 27th, 2008 12:09 pm ET

Change you can believe in? After 6 Senate terms and a long history of questionable behaviors that represent everything wrong with Washington politics, we are supposed to believe that Biden represents change? Why do the Democrats insist on recycling the same cynical and, yes, even dishonorable politicians that seem to have become synonymous with the party? Is Biden truly the best the Democrats could do?

No. This time my vote is going Republican.

yoyo   August 27th, 2008 12:09 pm ET

Obama-Biden '08 AND '12

Andrew   August 27th, 2008 12:08 pm ET

So they will spend time on the road and not tend to the business or the job they have been elected to do and get paid by us the tax payers. I think they (dems and repubs) should all resign from their current elected/appointed office before they make a run for pres. I would rather them focus on the job at hand... working on the bills in front of them.

Debby   August 27th, 2008 12:08 pm ET

Biden does nothing for this ticket and if he starts his attack routine he will GAFFE big time. He can't yell and make sense at the same time. Watch old Bill Maher shows and you will see it for yourself. Hillary, Bill, and Al Gore are solid anchors for the Dem. Party.

Ellie, Boyds MD   August 27th, 2008 12:08 pm ET

WE'RE FIRE UP AND READY TO GO! GIVE' EM HELL BOYS!!

THEY'VE BEEN TALKING TRASH ALL WEEK LONG.... IT'S TIME WE START SHOVELING ALL THEIR "KA-KA" BACK ON JOHN McBUSH'S LAP!!

Ed-Word   August 27th, 2008 12:07 pm ET

This is exactly what they're about, from the ground up. Change has starting with his nomination and this campaign and soon his election. November is plenty of time to connect with Most Americans and build an unstoppable momentum. It has started with Hillary's speech for unity and will continue with Barack's vision for a new America. No matter what happens America has changed and the lens which we view is different, "Keep moving!" OBAMA BIDEN!!!!

Carl from MI   August 27th, 2008 12:07 pm ET

They're going to run the Staight Talk Express right off the road!! I hope they let all 57 states know about McCain wanting to re-instate the draft, how he wants to continue giving shameful tax breaks to the rich and to Big Oil.

If they have time, maybe they can stop by all 11 of McCain's houses!! Obviously they'll be able to cover more ground because they don't need to take weekends off like McCain does.

WAKE UP, AMERICA!! VOTE SMART…. NOT SENILE!!!!!!!!!

Frank from Peterborough   August 27th, 2008 12:07 pm ET

Has anyone on these blogs ever seen or heard of any McCain policies and platforms in this election? I am not being facitious as I haven't come across any and every thing I see or hear is just attack ads no real substance or plan for the future.

If there have been any McCain policies perhaps some of his supporters could write about them so people can make an informed decision.

Vegas   August 27th, 2008 12:07 pm ET

Here comes the tax talk express... yea... that should create jobs...

At least if the bus breaks down they will be prepared... gotta pair of tools on board...

A CANUCK   August 27th, 2008 12:07 pm ET

The Democrats have been "eating their own flesh".........Biden will put an end to that. OBAMA/BIDEN2008

Lynn Houston   August 27th, 2008 12:06 pm ET

I'm still looking for an answer.... anyone!!!! Can someone answer my question? When people say that we do not know whether the Obamas are "ne of us", what does that mean?? If they are not "one of us", what are they?? Please help me understand what this means....

Ohio.   August 27th, 2008 12:05 pm ET

"Hey Hippies" – Your argument is weak and, well, false. Maybe you're just not listening to what they have to say.

The Other Campaign Strategist @ 115th & Amsterdam   August 27th, 2008 12:05 pm ET

It would be smart to ask Hillary and Bill to be on this bus at a few stops early on.

She needs to close the deal from her fabulous speech last night.

If they do it late in the bus tour, the Naysayers will call it desparation.

randy   August 27th, 2008 12:05 pm ET

If Romney is chosen he will put Biden and Obama over his knee. He would not hire these two to be gofers for him when he was in the private sector. He actually had to to against intelligent people on a daily basis not a bunch of Lawyers. Just like Cheney did the last two elections he will destroys this two. Cant wait

Judgement over Experience   August 27th, 2008 12:04 pm ET

I am a white male who served 10 years in the military, grew up in a conservative three generation Republican, christian household and both my parents were hard working blue collar workers who both worked up until their 80's. I am 40 years old and have two teenage children of my own and am struggling to make ends meet. I have to vote my conscience so I have to vote for Obama because my parents would turn over in their graves if they knew that this non caring, warmonger, for the rich only john mccain was the republican candidate for 2008. Thank God they are not alive to see what a sham their party has become because it would surely kill them. Mom and Pop, don't worry I will do the right thing and vote for Obama.

Hey Hippies   August 27th, 2008 12:02 pm ET

Tour Bus to fantasyland. Talking about Hope and Change is meaningless to voters....tell us how you're going to make healthcare affordable, tell us how you're going to deal with terrorists, with immigration, with gas and food prices, with national security, etc. At least McCain has substance and experience behind his words. Obama has nothing but a jump shot.

FirstTimeVoterinMI   August 27th, 2008 12:01 pm ET

I'm very excited to see Obama-Biden in Michigan! They make a great team and I can't wait to cast my very first presidential vote for the pair of them!

OBAMA-BIDEN '08!!

Freida, NYC   August 27th, 2008 12:01 pm ET

I love, respect and admire Hillary Rhodam Clinton. She is an outstanding and remarkable woman!!!!!!!!!!! She makes us proud to be Americans.

Oh! The Irony   August 27th, 2008 11:59 am ET

This is by far the smarter of the two campaigns. All McCain does is personally attack Obama in order to affect poll numbers. We should be asking where is McCain's substance instead of Obama's, which he talks about hand has detailed on his website.

TESAP; SAVANNAH, GA   August 27th, 2008 11:59 am ET

Voting on Democratic Issues   August 27th, 2008 11:54 am ET

Here's to you guys tearing up the Thunder Road! Drop off as many mail-in voting documents to the colleges as you can in case they can't get back home to vote!

Go OBAMA!

Maggie Muggins From Selwyn   August 27th, 2008 11:54 am ET

I wrote a comment on how McCain's policies are identical to Bush policies and how his health plan was so ridiculous but of course CNN wouldn't print it in this blog. We can't have the truth and hurt the McCain campaign now can we.

No Way. No How. NO McCAIN!!   August 27th, 2008 11:52 am ET

While McCain is speaking at his national convention, Let's RALLY and make our voices heard! (in New York, Atlanta, LA, and Chicago)

Turn around McCain's "celebrity" attack on Obama (a concept that he will use at the convention ad nauseam), by having celebrities perform and speak on the issues. Let's use the celebrity angle to our advantage...

Take cameratime away from McCain when he makes his speech!

Refreshing New Future   August 27th, 2008 11:52 am ET

Finally, the bus leaves the Clinton's and Bush's behind. On the Road to Change.

Spencer from VA   August 27th, 2008 11:50 am ET

Thank goodness for this news. I'm tired of hearing from the "Alzheimer's Talk Express." It's a shame you can't remember how many homes you have Sen. McCain, or how many times you've sided with George Bush. Are you ashamed that telling the American people the truth that we will realize how out of touch you are with all of us???

faye, NV   August 27th, 2008 11:49 am ET

This will be great for the two of them setting the stage of Change.

Tom in Delaware   August 27th, 2008 11:48 am ET

Wow! First there was Jack Benny and Rochester, and now this!

Tiffany   August 27th, 2008 11:48 am ET

It's sad that the media is putting us against one another. Why can't we just respect one's opinions without belittling anyone who thinks differently? When this is all over, regardless of who is elected, we need to come together as one country. If you have a solution, start acting instead of just yelling from the sidelines. Do your own research instead of letting the media decide and sometimes confuse you.
More and more I see people on here talking about a candidate that they don't like and when asked their reasoning, it has nothing to do with their stance on the ISSUES. The media has been focused on the petty things. I'm a young black woman who is now old enough to vote on a presidential election and it saddens me to see ignorance in some people because they are voting based on what the media puts out and not the candidates themselves.
I won't tell you guys who to vote for...I URGE you guys to do your own research, compare and contrast the ISSUES to what matters the most in your life and make that decision for yourselves.
God Bless

Ken in Syracuse   August 27th, 2008 11:47 am ET

It's too bad the democrats can't schedule effectively. Putting the main speakers on at 10am at night was crazy. How many blue collar workers they are trying to reach will stay up to hear them when they have to be at work in seven in the morning. Talk about a disconnect from reality!

S. Boatman   August 27th, 2008 11:47 am ET

NO WAY! . . . NO HOW! . . . NO MCCAIN! . . . NOT NOW! . . . NOT EVER!

Abby   August 27th, 2008 11:47 am ET

Mike – Texas, are one of those states Czechoslovakia? Are you saying that a Harvard educated constitutional expert doesn’t know who many states exist or was he talking about the number of contests? Why don’t you stick to the issues so we can work on getting you out of that trailer and give you a better life?

mama4obama   August 27th, 2008 11:46 am ET

I sure hope that bus swings through my town....or anywhere within reasonable driving distance because I will be there....me and my entire family!

OBAMA/BIDEN 08

Hit Mccain Hard On The Campaign Trail! All You Really Have To Do Is Tell The Truth About Him And The World Will See Him For The Questionable War Hero He Really Is!

kim hussein taylor portland, oregon   August 27th, 2008 11:45 am ET

please come to portland, president obama and vice president biden, we will give you another record-breaking crowd!

it's time for CHANGE, america, and that aint happening with mcsame!!

to all the dems in mineapolis during the republican convention-first i'd like to offer my condolences, you must be mortified that your beautiful city is about to be overrun with immoral criminals!

but i heard a GREAT idea on air america and i HOPE many of you will do it! it's time we play dirty like the repugs, they're so good at it and we have to sink to their gutter level: make up a ton of campaign signs, buttons, bumper stickers, etc. that say "BUSH/MCCAIN 08".

post them EVERYWHERE, get into every crowd you can, and get in front of every TV camera you can (which will be a challenge since they OWN the media). blanket the city with BUSH/MCCAIN yard signs.

actually ALL of us across the entire country need to make buttons, bumper stickers, and yard signs with that TRUTHFUL message-BUSH/MCCAIN 08.

WE know mcsame is just more of the same, but there are still people out there who have no clue and buy all the nonsense they are spoon-fed by our right-wing media!

WAKE UP, AMERICA!!!!!!

Abby   August 27th, 2008 11:44 am ET

Keep on working. With the truth, what is right and God on your side, whatever happens will be good. All you can do is give it your all. Thank you!!!

Obama/ Biden 08!

Linda from Prescott AZ   August 27th, 2008 11:43 am ET

Hit the Road and make our case. You can do it. We need change and you are just the ones to bring it about.

Go Obama/Biden, Go!

Dem for Unity   August 27th, 2008 11:43 am ET

Change the hearts and minds my friends. This will be an awsome general.

Bruce WExler   August 27th, 2008 11:41 am ET

Didn't you just know Buba couldn't do the right thing. He's not going to Barack's speech on Thursday. Well, history will repay him!
Hillary did a fine job last night. Now I want to see her stumping in southeast florida!

Bendo   August 27th, 2008 11:41 am ET

Good, glad to see this, I'd also do a bus tour of the entire states of Fla/VA and NC. Maybe a quick trip to 3-4 cities in Alaska, hey if its gonna be that close, a extra 3 EC wont hurt!. Win all the states John K .,won, take any 3 to put Obama over the top: Fla. CO. VA and kick in a few surprises of red to blu maybe Montana? South Dakota?

CM   August 27th, 2008 11:41 am ET

Take it to them guys!!!

Our voter registration drives are bringing in the new democrats and will take this home in November.

No Way No How No Mccain   August 27th, 2008 11:38 am ET

Mike - Texas   August 27th, 2008 11:37 am ET
