I tuned in today to think that Hillary and Obama supporters would be fighting in the convention center from the way CNN reported on the divide between Democrats.

It turns out CNN was fomenting division where there was none in order to improve their ratings.

I will be tuning into Fox News tonight because at least they voice their Republican support openly instead of trying to divide the Democratic party through promoting in-fighting when the vast majority of us are intent on moving on and coalescing behind Barack Obama.

Can someone please tell me why it seems that Obama fans, the media and Obama camp feel that Hillary and Bill Clinton have to shore up the Democratic party for Obama? They then turn around and scrutinize every move they make only to criticize them over and over. Shouldn't it be Obama's job to unite the party? Isn't it Obama and Biden's job to win this election?
Hillary Clinton has done her part and did it quite well. Ever since it was announced that Bill Clinton would speak we have heard from the talking heads how upset he was with Obama and his camp. I know after his speech the pundits will be all over the place telling us how Bill Clinton's body language shows he was not sincere and how angry he is. Get over it . As a huge Hillary supporter I would like all people to stop the name calling for just a few minutes and think about the history that was made today. It may not be the history you like, but that part of this countries problem..only ackowledging the history it wants to see. Hillary made history and showed true grace under fire. She will not be forgotten, for it was she that sent the message. I come out here to read these and I am always amazed on how some who supported Hillary are so quick to jump ship now that she has no chance at the nomination and vote Mcbush. If you watched the convention last night, particularly HILLARY's speech, she asked were you in this just for me, because all of the things I stood for are the same things that Obama stood for and the reason that you should vote for him.

Someone made the comment that McCain was born in Panama and was not a US citizen by their thoughts. Uhm, news flash. McCain was born of an American Serviceman in Panama. That is a US Serviceman serving to protect your rights and to protect this country. Any child born outside te United States of an American Serviceman is automatically considered a US citizen born abroad of American parents.

As for the rest of the election. It is going to be ugly. Personally, I am happy Clinton is not the nominee. I didn't care for her and her attitude while she was first lady, I didn't like her attitude as a senator when she was listening to speeches by President Bush and personally, I think she would rather see Barack Obama drop off the face of the earth than to actually and truly, support him in this campaign.

Given the feelings between the dems and republican voters at this point and the division of the country, it wouldn't surprise me if there are a number of security problems before and through November.

Candy Crowley, an excellent journalist, nevertheless loves to use the word "fulsome" in describing the nature of Bill Clinton's upcoming priaise of Barack Obama in his speech tonight. The word "fulsome", while it used to mean "generous", is now most used to mean "generally offensive" and "overdone" and "overly effusive".

It would be good if someone gave her a gentle nudge to find an adjective less fulsome than the one she is presently using about Clinton's apprach toward Obama tonight. [Or doe she know what she is talking about ?!]

Why do people keep referring to the significance of this moment by comparing it to the beginning of the Civil Rights Movement? Black people are crying tears of joy right now because this has been a bloody road we've traveled for over 400 years. It didnt begin in the 50s and 60s it began when the first slave ship arrived on this land carrying our people as its precious cargo. This moment is precious to us because it demonstrates that Hope and Faith was and is never in vain. As I drove home I was listening to NPR Radio, and heard a horrific story of our troops attacking a village in Afghanistan where they thought or believed that was a Taliban stronghold....... the correspondent interview several people grieving for the deaths of .....NINETY people! Mostly women and children. We NEED CHANGE, WE NEED A LEADER. To lead our nation...... not just create havoc!

I spoke to my manicurist who has sold her car, started working a second job at a local grocery chain, so that SHE AND HER LITTLE GIRL CAN HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE! I watched the DNC convention from the UK. I was simply spell-bound. Thanks to Senator Clinton for moving for the nomination by acclamation. It made emotional and compelling viewing. Lets hope that Obama also convinces the nation.

Hillary is a genius , she played the game well. Had she kept her delegates and had a full floor vote, Obama would have went down in flames. Hillary is a very calculating politician. She knows McCain will win and she will become president in 2012. For this I applaud her.

Dear Clinton supporters,
If your candidate had hired the kind of advisors she really needed and had run a campaign as well as Obama's she would have won. If her campaign staff had not been so disgruntled and back-stabbing each other she would have not had to waste precious time and news space dealing with it. If your candidate had not been caught lying about her trip to Kosovo, combined with other exaggerations of her experience, it would have improved her credibility. If your candidate's husband had not shot off his mouth with reckless "observations" you could have kept many of your votes that went to Obama. If your candidate's husband had not cheated on her continually throughout their marriage and then lied about it as President under oath she wouldn't have had the baggage to bring with her to the White House that many objected to and why they refused to vote for her. And most importantly, if Hillary had bowed out of the race in February when all of the numbers showed she could not win the nomination, you wouldn't all have spent so much money, time, energy, and emotion and would have long ago ended your grief that has turned into misdirected bitterness and division. Please. Put the responsibility for losing this election where it belongs – on your candidate's shoulders. And if you're truly a Hillary supporter you'll get over it and get going to help Obama win this election. As your candidate so eloquently stated – our future, your children's future, is at stake.
