Colorado casts its delegate votes.

DENVER, (CNN)–The only boos heard thus far in the roll call vote came when Massachusetts cast its votes, and proudly supported its sports teams: the Red Sox and Celtics.

April Garlow   August 27th, 2008 7:57 pm ET

You didn't hear the boos –because those people left the building. The party may not hear us now, but they will hear us in November. We are not voting for McCain we ARE voting against the way that a group of people went against our partys charter, for the first time in history, to select Obama. All the issues that Hillary spoke of are important, but mean nothing, if our right to a free and fair election is not preserved. McCain08

Monica for Obama in Indiana   August 27th, 2008 7:56 pm ET

Yes, the Democratic Party is unified and on our way to victory!

Phyllis/ PA   August 27th, 2008 7:54 pm ET

Hillary Hillary, Hillary, Hillary . She sved the democratic party. NOT Obama the "unifier". He is the divider and is why the democrats will not win the general election.

Disappointed Democrat   August 27th, 2008 7:53 pm ET

Party unity my foot!!!!! He may have gotten the delegates to get nominated but for sure he won't be winning the election. I really want the republicans to whoop Obama in November and put him in his place. Hopefully we will being seeing Hillary in 2012 and she will definitely win this time because by then Howard Dean and Nancy Pelosi will be kicked out of their positions and a fair primary process will take place. The democrats feel that by cheating to make history is going to win them the election but it will lost to them when McCain wins in November. Cheating does not pay and as the saying goes what goes around comes around (karma).

Well, conservatives will vote for a conservative, liberals will vote for a liberal – this is regardless of what they claim to have been in recent history.

the selfish will vote for McCain, because he appeals to those dumb enough to fall for the "you are entitled to everything" republican motto. the less selfish will vote for Obama, because he appeals to those who know "this will take some work – yes you will have to do some of it".

Some of you people are awful and sound like little kids. The DNC did not do HRC wrong. At all. I respect HRC but she and you under estimated Obama... It is sad and you need to grow up. No one in this race has experience. And you really think McSame is going to make it better? The only reason you are going to vote for him is because you are trying to still hurt Obama when you are only hurting yourselves!!!! Open you eyes, It is bigger than you...Grow Up! This is crazy and stupid. Obama never attacked HRC. She did her dirt... Which you fail to acknowledge. Both see now its bigger then them!! Good luck to you if you vote for McShame.. Try to pay your mortgages when all your money is going to oil companies.

The PUMAs do exist but they are irrelavent. They have decided to go over to Republicans so now they are the opponents supporters and not Democratic. Reason is not something they will listen to as they cling to hearsay and rumors to back their agenda.

Why would we concern ourselves with what a Republican PAC thinks?

Obama is not tested and we cannot believe what he says and we must fear what he will do. The DNC did Hillary in and I think the DNC must now be reformed. It will be reformed after the 2008 election!

Barack has been nominated, the party is trying to unite, and there's nothing that you anti-Obama people can do about it. Hillary was awesome last night and tonight. Michelle was not stone-faced. She was in support of Senator Clinton's speech. Now that this part is over, please get some therapy...

The dem. party that once was, is no longer. So when a long term registered dem. switches parties, they do it with good reason. It is a shame that this was not an African/American or a woman. Instead we have a White & Arab/Kenyan who has no experience, no qualifications and has way too many questionable friends.

I don't care what the negative talking heads say, this convention is truly been a blessing for the Democrats. It has put to bed any more talk of the division in the party. I am so proud of the Obama's, Clinton's and Biden's. They are the great leaders of our party!

allen   August 27th, 2008 7:36 pm ET

The party has gone radically left. We will need to start calling it "The Party" a la the USSR if Obama gets elected and does his puppet bidding at the behest of Pelosi and the rest.

The USA a Socialist nation. The great Ronald Reagan must be turning over in his grave.

Sarge in Florida   August 27th, 2008 7:36 pm ET

Shannon   August 27th, 2008 7:35 pm ET

party unity, have you read the posts by Obama supporters, how do you have unity with them spewing hate. How do you have unity when Obama snubs HIllary Clinton by not calling her when he didn't pick her for VP, but he called the male members on his list of VP choices. How do you have unity when CBS and NBC both reported that Hillary Clinton called Michelle Obama to praise her on her speech, but Mrs Obama wouldn't take her call. For a campaign that preaches unity, they sure are fulled with hate. Anyone but Obama 08!

Dave in Indy   August 27th, 2008 7:34 pm ET

Don't listen to the polls everyone. CNN's poll is biased as well as all of the other polls because they can't poll cell phone users. Any idea how many people only have a cell phone these days? According to the Harris Poll (http://www.harrisinteractive.com/harris_poll/index.asp?PID=890) "about half of U.S. adults who only use a cell phone are 30 or over. One-third of 18 to 29 year olds only use a cell phone or the Internet for making phone calls." That's something that CNN won't tell you about their polls.

Dems Vote Big   August 27th, 2008 7:25 pm ET

America has never been perfect. The Democratic party is represented as best as it can be. Anyone switching their vote 180-degrees to the Republican party's issues because their candidate did not make it through the primaries has a few issues of their own that unity cannot begin to fix.

The party moves on, hopefully with as many people that are willing to stand up for the issues which are immensely more important than hurt personal feelings.

Question: Did anyone, other than die-hard political gurus, know anything about Joe Biden, or Mitt Romney, or Evan Bayh, or Dick Cheney, or George W. Bush before they ran for office? Uhhh... highly UNlikely! The fact is the media wants controversy, and no one really knows what any president will really be like once they get into office no matter how long they've been in the senate/public office.

Case-in-point: The election of George W. Bush! And to reinforce my point, there are still unintelligent Americans who will put dumbo in the white house even after they know what he will do! Case-in-point: The re-election of George W. Bush!

Angelo Decameron   August 27th, 2008 7:08 pm ET

I am sorry that Hillary has to still work with the party that sabotaged her campaign. I do not trust their nomination even a bit. No matter how many oldies Obama tries to surround himself with, he has a lot to do before he gains my vote and trust. Not that he is not trying! Actually, he is not trying... he is too busy living the moment of glory. But he forgets that this is just an image, a product of commercially-run culture of "highly educated" electorate. If he steps in the White House next year, this image will be the last thing that will stand by him when he needs to take (actual) action rather than... just talk and charm us. Nobody is perfect and nobody is pure in that pack of wolves out there on the political scene. But I would go with the one I know would abide by promises and words and back them up with actions – Hillary Clinton. I will only vote for her and, honestly, 4 years of McCain will hopefully be enough (and just the right thing) for America to get used to the idea of a woman president. And by the way, McCain is actually much more trustworthy than Obama also. Why? Because he is old! And the glisten of career glory is still mixed up with war medals that he has earned with his own blood. This counts for something. Much more than the fashion politics that this DNC is ba(ra)cking up.

allen   August 27th, 2008 7:05 pm ET

No unity in the Democratic Party. Hillary can't mean what she says when she is well-aware that an Obama victory knocks her out of the 2012 race and effectively ends her hopes of ever winning the presidency.

This is good since an Obama presidency represents the greatest threat to both civil & women's rights this country has ever faced. It also would virtually guarantee rracism will become more prevalent, and the economy will take a huge hit, as well.

Socialism doesn't work. It has been given up by nearly all those who have tried it or forced it on others. It's a failed experiment we don't need to repeat.

KD   August 27th, 2008 7:05 pm ET

My fellow Americans, please stop the back and forth. Let's look at the history that has been made in out life time. We are another step closer to excepting people for who they are and not there color, race, gender, or sexual orientation. That in itself is bigger then the inner fighting between Democrats.

It's unfortunate that Clinton decided to stay in the Democratic Party. She is the most brilliant candidate in this election, but she allowed herself to be buried by a bunch of crooked politicians in the party, and gladly (at least in appearance) handed over the candidacy to a novice with no accomplishments (at the age ot 47), a mediocre intellect and messianic ego.

cajun123   August 27th, 2008 7:02 pm ET

This will go down as one of the dumbest if not the dumbest political decsions ever made. Obama has lost the election, because he could not sit down and meet with his opponent Hillary Clinton. He could not get over his own personality differences with the Clintons, and make the right decision. Now we are tied with McCain, because of it. Folks, when you play, you play to WIN, and as a Commander in Chief, you go in to WIN. To bad, so sad, we could have been ahead of McCain by 30 points. Can you say President McCain?

Southerner   August 27th, 2008 7:01 pm ET

Obama has accomplished nothing in his ultra short tenure in the senate.

UNITED WE STAND FOR OBAMA!!!!
