This is a sham and shame on the Party leaders who are "producing" this show. Because that is all this role call is minus a hollywood director. This whole DNC is one giant waste of time and money. And gee...who is paying for it???

The nominee has been picked. Why do we need 4 days of partys and Blah blah blah speeches and a roll call where FI and MI have been ordered how to vote (and who know what other states). So far this convention has done little (I won't take away from Michelle's and Hillary's contribution) for Obama.

The role call will just leave a sour taste in many mouths, mine – not because of hillary (couldn't care less) but because it is a complete and utter waste of "let's see how dean flexed his muscles" time and money.

Hello DNC !!!! – the Pubs may well take this office. We need to be talking about the issues. What we plan to do – in specifics!!

Enough partying on our dimes and get to work!!!!

Why is it that Obama suporters feel the need to attack HIllary in their posts of support for Obama, all the while calling people who don't step in line "sore losers"? One of the (MANY) things I feel doomed the Bush Presidency is the fact that he only surrounded hmself with people who agreed with him. Only "Yes People". Any thought or attempt to go against something Bush said and you were called a traitor, un-American, un-patritotic, and lots of other names. If Obama is the strong canndidate his supporters believe he is -- then LISTEN to us, and respect or POV! Don't be sore winners and whine about the fact that "Hillary lost". Yes, we know this, but it doesn't change the fact that we still feel the way we do -- and think the way we think. Thinking isn't agreeing or disagreeing... If Obama is to be the great President who you believe he will be.... you and he must learn to listen to different opinions without calling the people racists, or idiots, or bitter... or whatever other names you can think to shout in anger. Explain why you feel the way you do, listen to why we feel the way we do -- it's called diplomacy. If you truly are Obama supporters, you will learn that word well -- and early! We don't need another 4 years of narcissitic, one sided governing. After all, if you believe in your hearts what you claim, you will be able to support it with words that are spoken with patience, intelligence, and wisdom. Not just anger, resentment, and a lack of understanding. I agree with Carolina. The disunity issue is being overblown by talking heads trying to justify the expense of sending them to Denver for a week. Gov. Schweitzer was one of the best speakers yesterday, and his speech was delivered in the all-important 10p.m. hour, but few TV viewers heard it because Chris, Keith, Wolf, Anderson, and the others wouldn't shut up. Why is every talking head from each news division in Denver? I think they could just as easily listen to themselves talk in NY. What happened to the good ol' days when you had an anchor and an analyst in the skybox and a reporter on the floor. CNN has its entire election team on the floor of the convention. I'm half expecting to turn on the TV and see Wolf and Anderson wearing funny hats. Let the viewers watch the convention and judge for themselves. Analyze before, analyze after, but get out of the way of the event you are there to cover.

To anyone who supported Hillary but would now go to McCain, apparently you didn't support the issues that Hillary stood for, which are the mirror images of Barack's. In other words, if you were only voting for her because she was a white woman, but agree with McCains positions, you should vote Republican anyway. I myself support the positions of Hillary and Barack, democratic positions and will be voting for Barack Obama.

I am so sick and tired of the media's obsession with the imagined internal psychodrama of a handful of Clinton supporters. And I have absolutely zero interest in whether Bill Clinton is now feeling sufficiently warm and fuzzy inside. We're in the midst of the most serious financial crisis we've faced since the Great Depression; we're still fighting two wars and losing at least one of them; our nation's infant mortality rate is higher than Cuba's; our schools and transportation systems are crumbling; and Obama and McCain actually have vastly different plans for how to approach these very serious problems. But we're not talking about those policy differences because the press is only interested in whether Clinton's delegates are feeling the love. Wake up people! This is an election for the presidency of the United States, not an episode of Big Brother.

I read a lot of these posts, and I see a pattern here. Most of these posts fall into two categories: The angry Hillary supporter who will now vote for McCain- who I actually suspect are just Republicans trying to create division amongst Democrats, and Obama supporters defending Obama. Over and over again, I see the PUMA posts (the angry Hillary supporters) which offer nothing but unfounded speculation and vitriol mixed with occasional racism and total misinformation. In the Obama supporter posts, I see lots of facts and logic, along with some good efforts to set the record straight about Obama. I have come to the conclusion that the PUMA posters are never going to listen to reason. Of course, most of them are Republican posers, so they don't really want to hear reason- they just want to stir up trouble. My conclusion- you PUMA people are idiots, and you don't deserve to vote. Of course, this is a democracy and you have the right to vote, but idiots like you give democracy a bad name.

Hilary sent me this today. I find it interesting that those who claim to have supported her are so willing to call her speech disengenuis. Clinton knows what is important; economy, jobs, energy, foreign policy, the Supreme Court and accessible health care. She knows McCain can't be trusted to act responsibly in these vital issues.

after her speech last night, does anyone doubt that, regardless of the praise she received from the media (except from the pretend journalists at fox pseudo-news) Clinton is in this fiasco for herself...I mean...for all it is worth, if she is sincere about supporting the winner–obama–why not just nominate the other losers...dodd, kucinich, richardson....hell, even edwards who seemed to take a page out of Bill's book..put 'em all in nomination!!! let's face it. Hillary and Bill are doing everthing to make this THEIR convention. and, even though most of the civilized world knows that Bill will speak about himself tonight and of how much he likes himself and of how much EVERYONE else should like him, we can only hope that he doesn't repeat his act at the 1988 convention when he put nearly all of those in attendance to sleep–that is, of the ones who didn't just walk out....

I too watched on CSPAN. Did you catch t he Gov. from Montana. What a great speech. Several good jabs at McCain. Not a bunch of negative comments interpreting what every word meant or saying that the real story was what was NOT said. If there isn't contention, then will people turn to CNN, no. So...guess what. I found a better place that is fair and not so bias.

Of course, then there is Hannity & Combs! Don't even get me started.

If the DEMs lose in November you only have to look into the mirror and criticize yourself. Get over it people. Hillary and the Clinton machine lost. Hillary was a strong candidate, but her campaign underestimated the Obama campaign. Obama did not make the rules with regards to MI & FL. This isn't the first time the Dems have had caucases so quite whining. Hillary Clinton will have more opportunity to serve in a high profile role under an Obama administration than for McCain.

First, for all the ignorant McCain trolls, the Democratic Party *IS* united behind Obama/Biden...any whiners still complaining that Hillary should get the nomination are nothing more than cultists; they aren't real Democrats, and we KNOW it. Secondly, we've known the delegate counts since June, and we know that delegates are bound to voting for their candidate according to their State party rules UNLESS THEIR CANDIDATE RELEASES THEM TO DO OTHERWISE...so stop trying to paint this to be drama cleaving the Democratic Party, because it ISN'T...it's the party following the rules, which is something that we've had many years of experience seeing that the GOP DOESN'T do...Democrats are law-abiding citizens. And I agree with the comments about CNN's coverage--or lack thereof--of the Democratic Convention. Your talking heads would do far better to zip it and listen to what's being said at the podium, instead of doing a second-rate talk-show from the floor, "analyzing" what's not even said is a poor substitute for what you're missing while your collective lips are flapping, and I for one am angry that CNN seems to be giving more time to McCain's campaign during the Democratic Convention than to the Democrats themselves. You ought to be ashamed of yourselves for your p*ss-poor job, and you had better be giving lots of time to the Obama-Biden campaign to do the same during the GOP convention next week. Your coverage is inexcusably bad, and since I'm quite capable of doing my own analysis instead of having GOP operatives providing their own bias, I will be watching the rest of the Democratic Convention UNFILTERED on C-SPAN.

Judgment will always tramp expedience any day.

Two examples:
Bill Clinton 1992 an unknown governor from a SMALL state of Arkansas with executive experience.
George W Bush 2000 an unknown governor from a BIG state of Texas, with a household name and executive experience.

You think both their presidencies would produce similar results? Not quite. Why you ask? The answer is plain and simple the gray matter between the ears counts for everything. One person can’t govern a nation but it’s the people they surround themselves with that matter the most. Obama keeps showing that he’s firing on all cylinders but for McCain….well I do honor out veterans, POWs and senior citizens but I don’t want a story teller in our WH.

CNN you all need to show ALL that's going on!!!!!! CSPAN has gotten so many new ratings because you all can't seem to show the convention for the commentators. I am disappointed in CNN. I tune in daily for all the news and action but this is a mess!!! I hope you all learn from this convention coverage and in four years you all do a better job. Until then CSPAN will be on all the TV's in my home and thousands of others.

Now about Hillary, she needs to get over it. Everyone see's through her and true motives. 2012 is not looking good for her in my eyes so she needs to focuse on the present and help get this country going in the right direction. She can contribute so much to Obamas staff if she just get over herself. Has her anger for the White House blinded her to the point she is willing to sit back and let this country go to the dogs just because her feelings are hurt? She is worst off then I thought.
