It is ridiculous what the republican had done to this country in eight years. Coming from economics surplus from Bill Clinton to deep debt to China. This republican government is handing their white plate over to China and begging to barrow money from them. This has never been the US. Most of the time it always been the other way around. Thank you Colo Sprgs, CO, It's unfortuante that people will vote based on color and emotion rather than the REAL issues, even Hillary and Bill himself would rather vote Obama than mcbush and how they could justify switching party lines because their candidate did not get the nom is insane...some pumas have responded since my original post but they have nothing to say other than no to Obama, I believe everyone is entitled to their emotional opinion, but why insist on bringing the country down with you...I pray for children of all PUMAs, they will never have a chance to grow up in this country as it should be because of the bitterness of their parents.......SHAME!

I don't hate Obama. I just have no confidence in him or his judgement. I'm too concerned about the security of our country and my family. We will never see that much of any one candidate's policy ideas no matter who wins. McCain will lean to the center as usual, and fight against waste and radicalism. Hillary ran against Obama for the nomination, she said that she had concerns about his experience in several areas during her campaign. You can't expect her to NOW say that he is PREPARED to be the president. She shouldn't have to or be expcted to. That is Obama's job to prove his ability to AMERICA. As a Canadian watching this convention I was very pleased to see America changing their racist ways, Americans are viewed by most Canadians as very racist. I thought, they finally got it, we are all human beings, then suddenly all the talk is about the first black person to be a presidential candidate, the day Americans focus on the person in the running instead of their race, then and only then will they be truly united as a nation. It has been too long coming and I hope the attention changes to Obama the man, instead of Obama the black American.

Watching the news as one delegate, a Hillary Clinton supporter, was interviewed, I was amazed that he expressed that he may switch to McCain because of his disappointment with the Democratic party’s nominee.
There is also news that 30% of Clinton backers may defect to McCain as well.

How could anyone switch his or her vote to someone who stands for a completely different national policy based strictly on emotions.

Our government is in a dysfunctional state because some voters, including delegates, mindlessly voted the candidates into power.

Our vote must be based on a candidate’s ability as well as the national policy he or she stands for.

The republicans have been in power way to long. When I came to america in 96 the democrats were in power and things were a thousand times better. My money was always plentiful but now I can not get a job. I can only buy the necessities in life. I tried to get a job with the government but they have a hiring freeze yet they want you to volunteer your time. How is that supposed to put food on the table for my kids? For the love of america vote for change. Vote for universal health care and a secure future for america's kids. I remember how strong the american economy once was. It was so wonderful to watch Hillary make the motion for Barack's nomination… two people who fought an intense battle with many hurt feelings left over came together and made peace in order to represent all people and all our opinions as best they can.

The question now is simplified. Are you going to vote Republican or Democrat or 3rd party come time? (Or not vote at all). The Republicans hope you vote for them, or not vote, or vote 3rd party. They hope this because these votes will not work against them.

Therefore they seek to further exploit the division that has been in the Democrats. Do not be deceived! They will welcome you with open arms of course...and legislate against all the things that you truly desire as a democrat.

Do you not believe that they love pouring salt in the wounds they see and picking fights? They revel at this disunity.
