Sheryl Crow performed for the crowd Thursday.

DENVER, (CNN)–Will.i.am, John Legend and Sheryl Crow in that order. Down on the field, in a semicircle around the platform where Obama will speak, two rows of volunteers from each state. No state or elected officials. Grassroots folks.

Watch: "Yes We Can"

Watch: Crow plays for 'a change'

They will be no more than 30 feet away from Obama.

The sun has gone down behind the stadium now and it has gotten much cooler.

The stadium’s still not full but it’s getting there.

Alice Cooper says; If you're listening to a rock star in order to get your information on who to vote for, you're a bigger moron than they are

I'm from Chicago and has been a Chicagoan for many years. Obama has brought Change to Chicago and will bring Change to the world. He has fought for the rights of the everyday citizen since he has been working in the Chicago area. He believe in equality for everyone—whites, blacks, asians, latinos, lesbians, gays, old, young, veterans….EVERYONE!

I have not had to wait because he has delivered. He will deliver as President of The United States of America.

Vote OBAMA for CHANGE!!!!!

chitowngal07   August 28th, 2008 10:08 pm ET

Nevada dude,

The republican hate machine machine isn't out of steam. Unfortunately it hasn't even started yet….it's a LOOOONNNNG way to November. I hope it never gets started, and we can have a decent, thoughtful political discourse, but I seriously doubt it.

Obama '08

John from LA   August 28th, 2008 9:43 pm ET

Great a rock concert-tres presidential Dems!-makes this party look like a bunch of fools!

Bots will now defend the choice and make fun of McCain tomorrow-doesn't matter the size of venue-what matters is substance-WHICH WE ALL KNOW BO IS SHORT ON-but he's going to not spew rhetoric tonight!-why stop now-BO-your bots will follow you off a cliff-they can't think for themselves!-SHEEPLE!!!!

Denise   August 28th, 2008 9:43 pm ET

Crowe is not a favorite of mine. I prefer Stevie Wonder!

Obama/Biden   August 28th, 2008 9:35 pm ET

McCain like Bush will bring more threat to our country. Obama/Biden ticket is very strong on national security and Biden as well as Obama is well respected around the world. Obama has better judgment on every single issues that we need on a president than mccain. That is why we must vote Democratic this November to prevent a second 9/11 and have someone who is ready for what ever decission to defend our national security in case of any plot.
Do not listen to the republican scare tactics and believe anything they have to say. The republican is the party we as voters should stay away from this November. They have done enough to our country and the economy and we cannot afford for more years of economic disasters and begging China to lend us money.

PAM   August 28th, 2008 9:31 pm ET

Anderson Cooper is the very best. Been watching Fox and always go back to CNN MORE INTERESTING……….

Nevada dude   August 28th, 2008 9:26 pm ET

The stars do count. They speak for us and care about us to
be attending this great Convention. Thank you Sheryl Crowe,
John Legend, Oprah, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner.

Ben Affleck will run for office some day. He supported Kerry
all the way thru the last convention and I truly admire Ben Affleck.

Thanks to Madonna. I am watching for the other Movie Stars
that the media "tell us" don't count" YES YOU DO! YES WE CAN!

This convention is the greatest Convention I have ever seen "in
my adult life". GO OBAMA. Take it home and out of the Ball Park tonight.

Are you nervous John McCain. Rove is speaking on that nasty
network FOX. There will be no jobs for the Limbaughs, Hannity's
Ann Coulter's, and the worst of them All Rove. Oh, I forgot you
are already rich off of your nastiness.

independent now   August 28th, 2008 8:58 pm ET

obama is a loser he is risky as well

McCain you can pick Romney or Pawlenty either will do a better job than "Joe and the Hawaiian."

Didn't Joe say that Obama wasn't ready? If not I'll say it. He is risky and we don't want to gamble America on a roll of the dice.
