I'm hoping that it is Pawlenty. Much as I think Pawlenty is a sweet guy, it is clear from most Minnesotan's that Biden will chew him up and throw him to the wolves.

it will be pawlenty. mccain can't stand romney and he would rather have the edge over obama in that obama won't be able to use his VP's words against him from during the primaries.

If folks would look at the amount of money the Obama's have. Maybe folks would look past the "history" being made and concentrate on our country and world.Sure Obama's have major money supporters like Oprah and many of her friends.True, Michelle made over $250,000 in working in healthcare where some folks could not afford any. Then they talk of "Change" and go and pick Biden who son is a lobbyist
Biden has been in the senate almost as long as Obama is old.
Even if he picked Biden because he has experience Obama is lacking in National security. How many "friends does Biden have on the "hill" snf hoe msny favors will be called in? Why doesn't folks start digging in the issues of both and the backgrounds to make a GOOD INFORMATIVE decision instead of just watching ads and conventions. Wake up folks this is our country, Lets turn it over to someone we can really trust and has the guts and experience to make a difference. It doesn't matter what or who you are for just look at EVERYTHING to make an informative descision of your own.
We are the ones who have to live with it. Personally I am not happy with either but I will base my decision on FACTS not feelings.

I haven't seen pictures of it yet but some of the news agencies are saying that the stage design where Obama will receive the nomination for president is a Greek-style building. Has anyone seen pictures of it yet?

Leave it to McCain to have this on the anniversary of Katrina. With another on the way, possibly!

After all, he was yucking it up in Arizona back then with Bush while people were scrambling for their lives.

Oh also, isn't this the first night of football?

What a horrible campaign, I hope he keeps this up.

The smart choice for John would be Mitt Romney, but this is McCain we're talking about here, so he will of course pick Lieberman. Lieberman has been in Johnny's back pocket the whole year.

Tru, curtis. Pawlenty is pro-life and that will make Evansgenitals happy. I am pretty sure Evansgenitals all across the country will be sweating until Senator McCain makes his announcement tomorrow at noon. If it is Pawlenty expect a loud collective sigh of relief, the pressure will be over.

MY money is on Pawlenty. McCain needs to appease the radical right - especially after their announcement today that "the party platform reflects the party's belief's, Not John McCain's." (Who needs enemies with friends like that?)

Pawlenty is exactly what the party loves and demands - and unquestioning, unthinking yes-man.

And let me introduce... Joe Lieberman!!! C'mon people. We know who John McCain trusts for advice more than anyone... it's Lieberman. Have you been watching this whole election cycle? Who did he take on his trip to the Middle East? Who is always there to correct him when he confuses Sunni with Shia? If Joe could have explained to John that Iraq and Pakistan don't share a border... (Iran happens to be in between them...)

It is not the size of the venue but how you use it. Obama spoke to a group of 200,000 Germans obsessed with their Bratwursts and beer. That same day McCain spoke to a group of about a dozen people at a Sausage Haus. Based on that comparison, who is more qualified to stand toe to toe with Putin (or any other Rooskie leader for that matter) and talk about who has the rights to place missiles and eat kielbasas in Poland? i think the choice is obvious.....Obama in '08!!!

The Electoral College, an untrusted body for such a decision of the their just selection from petitioning candidates? but State sponsored Qualification trials which possibly provide proof for and against State Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidates by the arrangements of your known State Legislature, and voice again through public speaking and your State district representatives, you need a few law firms which can handle the candidates required proceedings in each State, and not just Harvard Verse Yale.., but now the untrusted body of the selected electors is not large enough to be democratic, it can be corrupted, even when republicly provided within the power of the States elective choice, and failing democratic desency of due community representation.. the Federation fails the people...

Personally I need to arrange and ingage in lawful patenting for due process of a replacement for world wide traffic, that's an individual requiring a company of lawyers which is similar to the corporately created firm which handles the trials, qualifications, and approvals of 194 different countries and requiring the efforts of the known representatives in construction planning efforts , but if the represented west is all arranged in this parties stale and un-modernizing manner, than a single individual can not proceed with construction of such magnatuted and so natural evolutionary failure to adapt occurs... my generations future is delayed due to un-manageable apportioned representation?... that is a lame excuse; but as the education system is some where in that muddle so I really am far behind of what will be fully required.

Why do our enemies want Obama to win ?

Political leaders in Dubai, Russia, Malaysia, Iran are favoring Obama for some reason.

Are they tired with a White American president , or any other theory ?

There are many chapters of Obama life still closed.

He claims to be a "black" and "in touch", but is actually making a million dollar salary. Getting favors from Axelrod's lobbying firm, have connections that his wife's employers increased her salary double fold,, or more.

Then, Michelle Obama says she chose a career for "serving" community, and is paid quarter million dollar salary, GREAT service.

How can you be "in touch", making millions, getting gifts from mafia, well connected with Washington politics, yet criticising it. On top of all , saying "gun-loving" bitter typical Ameican" in closed door meetings.
Not good.

And let add how he will split from Bust when he's picked Rove as hit man, you know Rove was Bush's right hand man, (his go to guy). He gave Bust eight years and a place by his side. And here Rove stands right by his side.

CAN YOU SEE THE SAME. AS A REPUBLICAN I GIVE UP, I VOTEING FOR OBAMA.

I NOW WATCH C-SPAN

I don’t understand how people can say McCain is trying to “steal” attention from Obama by announcing his VP pick tomorrow. It’s a very similar time frame to when Obama made his announcement in the run up to DNC.

Who out there really believes that McCain will actually get to choose his own running mate? The party will make the "appropriate" choice for him, just like they have been running his campaign. McCain is a prop for the Repubs. Sad, because he was a decent candidate back in 2000.

As far as I can sense, the overall thought of who McCain picks could be best put ....... Who Cares! .......I can feel it, I can smell it, McCain doesn't have a chance...... Obama/Biden are way more popular, regardless. Haven't seen a McCain sticker yet, and those republicans who wore BUSH/CHENEY stickers quickly removed them soon after the last campaign! McCain smells of the same old-same-old, and people now want change.

Just as nasty, abusive, and underhanded as the Bush and Rove reich. Any one who would vote for this fool deserves to have their children drafted and sent away to fight in a useless war. Any one who votes for this old man deserves to pay six bucks a gallon for gas.

Oh and by the way, Johnny. I am a little tired of the War Hero, and POW stuff. A little went a long way, now it is just a pity party. I will not elect any man or woman based on pity.

And by the way, America. I think it is time his service record is unsealed and open to public view. Do all soldiers get to have their military record sealed? I would bet not, and I would bet to do so would cost a ton of money.

SUUUUUUURRRRRGGGGEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

Did I mention, he was a POW?

Everyone else isn't "qualified"... and even though he's never really lead anything, barely made it through school (2.5 gpa I think) and isn't up to date on a lot of technilogical advancements - he really thinks he's more "fit" to lead this country into the "future"? umm, no

Bush Sidekick - not a "Maverick" by any stretch of the imagination...

ps - he wasn't even able to pick the agenda/theme at the GOP convention... the GOP didn't like his global warming ideas so they gave him a new agenda. He's a puppet now.

I am curious as to what this ad is about.....will he announce his VP candidate? Will he shock the world and nominate a woman (glad to see the Republicans will have reached the 20th century)? Will it be Lieberman (and no he is not a Democrat so don't give us something about a "bipartisan" ticket)?

And right wingers....if you know of a way to fix bridges, roads, levees, provide health care, and services to those who need it without using tax money, please tell us how. Jon Stewart's joke was fairly insightful: "Everyone knows the Republicans love America. They just hate half of the people in it."
