Gov. Pahlin may be Governor but she hasn't done more than anyone else (other than snitch on people)...picking a woman who is PRO-LIFE will NOT help him win over the women that are PRO CHOICE...

Good he picked a woman but do NOT CRY and COMPLAIN when they VP's have their debates and Biden tears her apart...do not pull the gender card........

I will take my chances with OBAMA/BIDEN any day....

Hey John Boy - McCain was not born in the US either, my friend. He was born in Panama.

Anyway, this would have been a bad choice for McCain. Gov Pawlenty checks every box a conservative Republican would want, but the "experience factor" would hurt him.

Kind of Ironic, one of the best choices ruined by the candidate's own rhetoric................

BTW - the same would be for Gov Palin. She's even younger than Senator Obama. Before the Veepstakes, had anyone heard of these two? Again, both fit the conservative Republican bill to the letter, but neither has any federal experience.

BTW - I'm a Democrat and that so called experieince factor doesn't really bother me, but the Republicans have made it an issue that could now come back to haunt them.

An economy wide cap -and-trade system that will do 3 things.

1. Reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
2. Generate 15 billion dollars per year to be invested in renewable energy.
3. Reduce our dependency on oil.

That is how Obama will pay for his energy plan.

And if you want more info on what cap-and-trade is, look it up. Don't listen to these idiot pundits on TV they are counting on your ignorance in order to discredit Obama.

Here is what Pawlenty has done for us in MN...he constantly preaches he has NEVER raised taxes...however he has cut state funding for our schools so severely that LOCAL taxes have had to go up considerably to compensate. Yet he still states he hasn't raised taxes...HELLO?!?!

Tim Pawlenty must be celebrating this joyous moment and thanking god for sparing him from the loosing journey.
He must have thrown a big party for this.
Romney = SAID NO THANKS
Jindal = SAID NO THANKS
Huckabee = SAID NO THANKS
Americans = WILL SAY NO THANKS IN NOVEMBER
OBAMA (2008 -16)

Of course he didn’t pick Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty , Did you HONESTLY think he would NOT PICK a WOMAN? He always waits until Obama makes a decision and then do the opposite as if it was what he was going do to at first. Another trickery of McBush agenda. He didn’t want a woman until Clinton was a nominee. Listening to C-Span and the reason’s for not choosing him because of his age is a lame excuse.

I will fool the voters into thinking I care about them until I take the White House, then the H_ll with those fools.................We WANT a REAL President after these last eight years...............

McBush = Bush…….SAME OLD MESS!!!!!

The real story is still not complete.

Is Obama really a American?

His status as a American will be tested in court, there has been a suite filed.

This could change everything.......

McCain 08, he is a real American.

If it's not Pawlenty it has to be between Ridge and Romney. Romney is just as wealthy as McCain so Dems can stick to that attack all day and night. Ridge is pro-choice which will go against McCain's stance. Heck if he picks Ridge, he may as well pick Lieberman.

So Chinless Tim says, “Obama might be good with a teleprompter, but take that away and he isn’t so hot.” Sour grapes, Timmy?
Pasty, boring, whiney, wimpy, no-account Tim a/k/a “Screech”, who can’t even keep this state’s bridges up (never mind give a speech that anyone could stay awake for, with or without teleprompter) tries to insult an obvious prodigy like Obama? Screech/Chinless Tim is obviously intensely jealous of Obama, who is the same age but has made it ON HIS OWN. Chinless Tim, however, has only barely squeaked by in each election (never even winning a majority) and is only being talked about for VP because he enthusiastically licks McLame’s 500 dollar shoes on command (just like he dropped his senate bid on Cheney’s command). The guy is a complete panting lapdog for the GOP.

I think Pawlenty knows that John McCain will lose the election and therefore he withdrew himself from the VP possibility to protect his future chances for the White House.

As for the fact that McCain would pick a woman as his VP, it is clear to me that it is because he is running out of options and that is not because he wanted to have a woman as his VP. I hoped womens will see clear in his game. The funny thing is that for many evangelical women, they beleive that a woman cannot lead because they have been educated like that so McCain choosing a woman as his running mate will alieanate a lot of voters instead of giving him new voters. Obama as already said that he would give equal pay to women so even if McCain says me too afterwards, it will be like trying a little too late...

It's totally going to be a woman because McCain wants to create excitement over his campaign and picking a woman is the only way.

It's a very shallow move but combating the historic with something historic is the only way that McCain can win..

Clearly the media is not as ubtrusive to the McCain campaign as the Obama campaign. It sure seems like the privacy of this selection is being respected more.

I liked Pawlenty and he will have a voice in the McCain Presidency. Hope his state votes for McCain

Beware of the risky candidate in Obama. It will be a gamble we can't afford. How is he going to pay for all his new programs.

I don't care. John McCain can pick Jay-z as his running mate and still won't get my vote. We all know he's gonna pick Romney, and he's probably got way more houses than John McCain does. No way, no how, no McCain.

if it is romney, that is better. What a site the rich boys club? Also, there is alot of video of Romeny critizing McCain worst than what Clinton and Biden said about Obama. Get the tapes ready democrats. If he chooses Ridge, that will erode the repbulican party specifically evangelicals because Ridge is pro-choice. Not alot of choices.

Great!! It would have meant certain defeat for the good Senator from Arizona. It has to be Romney to solidify the West and take Florida and Michigan. I would love to see Rice or Colin, but that's not going to happen. Still, it's the three upcoming debates and world affairs from now until election day that will determine this thing, not conventions.
