Don't pay any attention to that man behind the curtain in the WIzard of Oz. Don't pay any attention to the 12 investigators the McCain/Bush team scrambled onto the jet to Palin's home state of Alaska.
I am sure that there is an explanation for this, isn't there?

LOL...OMG....this is too funny!!! I mean really we all know the young girl did not tell her mother she was with child. HOW many folk do they really think will believe that McCain team knew she was pregnant prior to him selecting her? I mean lets call it what it is, a mistake of judgement on his part!!! NOW with that said I will say we not use her as a target of attack but, McCain is an open target!!!

WHEN PALIN AND MCCAIN POSED WITH THEIR FAMILIES, WHERE WAS THE MCCAINS ADOPTED INDIAN DAUGHTER,BRIDGET? ARE THEY ASHAMED TO POSE WITH HER? OR DON'T THEY WANT THE RIGHT WING RACISTS THAT MCCAIN IS PANDERING TO , TO KNOW THAT HE HAS A COLORED INDIAN DAUGHTER?wHAT A SHAME.
Also, he only chose Palin to try to get Hilary Clinton's women voters who were pissed that Hillary wasn't the nominated candidate for the democrats. It's so obvious! Nice try McCain- but you reak of desperation. Once again you will do and say anything to try to get votes. You have displayed Short term thinking- not desirable for a president.

He lacks judgment .. He cannot even pick a VP properly

McCain judgement on VP pick is a 0. Obama judgement on VP pick is a 10. McCain so called "experience" sure shows on his first important decision. The talking heads on FOX are trying so hard to keep a straight face when they have to defend McCain's VP choice.

As a lifelong Republican, I'm so disappointed in Sen. McCain's hasty and irresponsible choice. Not all repbulicans are far right conservative gun-toting, pro-life, NRA-loving. I suspect most are like me, moderate.

We value our country over party and would prefer to see a VP choice who is capable of taking over if McCain is unable. There are many who are more qualified to do so than Sarah Palin. This was cleary a decision aimed at winning the election and not in the best interest of the country.

Birds of a Feather Flocking Together here. Paris Hilton would have made as much since a Palin. Since she does not believe in birth control the chance of her having another child in office is almost a given. VP on MAT Leave. Just what the country needs.

The republicans are making this an issue--i think it is disgusting that McCain & Palin herself would put a 17yr out in the spot light like that just for politics---only to cause a stir....you should be ashamed of yourself Mr McCain...as for you Mrs. Palin...

If Palin has half a brain, she'll step down tomorrow (claim family responsibilities or something) and give McCain a chance to name a new VP choice.

Typical White person:

it's not the regnancy bit and the DUI. It's whether or not there's more, considering how much people other than McCain's team had dug up already in four days. They searched online and never went to the paper archives. A little too late, I agree!

The McCain camp claims that Troopergate is a politically motivated attack on Palin. CNN, please do some reporting, starting with the following facts:

The bi-partisan Legislative Council Committee comprised of six Republicans and six Democrats voted unanimously 12-0 to hire the Special Investigator to look into allegations that Governor Palin or her staff exerted pressure to get her ex brother in law fired.

Palin held a press conference two weeks later and released a recorded phone call that revealed her close aide exerting pressure to get her ex brother in law fired, this after Palin denied any calls were made.

At that same press conference Palin revealed that her staff had made 24 different phone calls to the Department of Public Safety regarding her ex brother in law.

So, you mean to tell me that having sex outside of marriage and as a teen is ok, everyone's family is doing it? What kind of message is that? The Republicans are sending all kinds of ugly, awful, permissive messages to our young children. If McCain and Palin get into the white house it's like saying that not listening to your parents is OK, Having sex before marriage is OK, having a mom that isn't home to advise you and care for you is OK, and no one is to think about it or say anything about it because your children (Girls & Boys) can have sex when ever they want! I say BULL

The thing that gets me is that the McCain campaign listed "Mother of Five" as part of her qualifications. Having a 17 year old daughter who is unmarried and pregnant - is this someone who qualifies as great mother? If she were a man - she'd be crucified.

wow-- Every company in America runs background checks before hiring someone. What was McCain thinking not vetting her before offering the second most important job in the US? Or is he so arrogant that he thinks we have not noticed?

Go Obama!.... at least you showed us what a vetting process should look like...

If he truly vetted Palin they might see an error in judgement in the shape of a 11 hour plane ride and a 1 hour car ride from Dallas to Seattle to Anchorage to Wasilla all with a premature high risk pregnancy. The ability to think in a rational manner when posed with an emergency situation seems to be fundamental in "executive" experience. Why did Todd not try to reason on the side of safey but instead makes a snide remark about Texas. Their honesty and integrity seems to be right at home with McCain and his fine judgements over the last few decades. Its time to stop trying to keep Americans from looking behind the curtains and seeing the truth. All the McCain/Palin platform needs is a good scare tactic to complete the play from the GW/Rove playbook. Vote from your hearts and not your fears. OBAMA/BIDEN 2008

With this irrational VP pick (why not Senator Hutchison or Gorvernor Romney), John McPander's judgment should be carefully scrutinized.

Forget the talk about Sarah Palin and her daughter. I'm more concerned about:

* Her lying during the announcement rally last Friday in Ohio when she claimed she had long been a opponent of the Alaskan "Bridge to Nowhere."

* The fact that she is being investigated for allegedly ordering a state commissioner to fire an Alaska state trooper, who just happened to be Palin's ex-brother-in-law.

* Palin's response to a question by Larry Kudlow on whether she was being considered as McCain's vice presidential running mate: "As for that VP talk all the time, I'll tell you, I still can't answer that question until somebody answers for me what is it exactly that the VP does every day."

* Cindy McCain defending Palin's lack of foreign policy experience to George Stephanopoulos: "You know, the experience that she comes from is, what she has done in government -- and remember that Alaska is the closest part of our continent to Russia. So it's not as if she doesn't understand what's at stake here."

* Bob Weinstein, the long-time mayor of Ketchikan, Alaska, telling Rachel Maddow that he knows of no one in Alaska who was interviewed by the McCain campaign during any vetting process of Palin.

* John McCain choosing the person who will be a mere heartbeat away from the presidency -- and putting less thought into that decision than I put into deciding which socks I wear in the morning.

I can't predict a time line, but let me go on record right here and right now:

By the time Election Day rolls around on November 4, Sarah Palin will NOT be John McCain's running mate.

Pathetic!!!!! I blame McCain and his judgement/leadership for this continued fiasco!!! In just 3 days, loads of information have come out on this Governor. I feel kind of bad for her and her family.
Can you say......... McCain/Eagleton 08'

You have her hold her baby brother with a blanket in front during the press conference. Then you wait for the huricane to hit New Orleans before you tell everyone about her being pregnant. That is how you keep your pregnant 17 year old a secret.
