Crowley: George H.W. Bush gets standing ovation

The Bushes received a standing ovation at the RNC tonight.
The Bushes received a standing ovation at the RNC tonight.

George H.W. Bush (the Dad) and Barbara Bush just walked into the auditorium of the Republican National Convention and got a standing ovation.

They'll soon listen to their son, slated to beam in via satellite from the White House.

Next up, a first responder to the Minneapolis bridge collapse last year. They are currently showing video of her crawling into a partially submerged car.

Hey CNN, why don't you talk about McCain cancelling King's interview tonight, because he did not like his "Tucker" being asked a single question. This reminds me more and more of USSR in the 60ies. This country is getting down right scary when journalists can not even ask questions.

As usual, my comment won't be posted.

Bush sr. didn't erase old ghosts of vietnam – one of the biggest ghosts is the republican candidate – get real. All we hear is POW POW POW POW POW POW

Bush and McCain and Palin, all will get standing ovations, and the people cheering loudest will be the oil lobby, the Carlyle group that Bush Sr. chairs as he sells weapons to third world countries around the globe, and maybe the people of Wasilla, population 6500, who are still waiting to recieve the 27 million in earmarks that Sarah Barracuda got for them a couple years back.

Oh yes, they'll all get standing ovations, as long as the oil flows.

If the oil stops flowing, they'll just start another war, or secede from the Union the way The Palins wanted to.

I'm so tired of unpatriotric anti American right wing zealots like Palin and I'm tired of the bad judgement that McCain and Bush have both used to put political interest ahead of country.

I want an American for President. I want Barack Obama.

The tribute to President Bush 41 was very nice. But I find it galling that apparently the McCain camp thinks that only Republicans put their "country first", and that the only way to put "country first" is by serving in the military. That is an offense to millions of patriots across our nation.
