ST. PAUL, Minnesota (CNN) – Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani will have a speaking role at the Republican National Convention, a GOP official tells CNN.

Giuliani was scheduled to deliver the keynote address Tuesday, but Hurricane Gustav forced Republicans to alter the program. Giuliani will speak later in the week.

This media is so overloaded with dem bluster and rationalizations. It just destroys them that someone would mention 911. Listen you bunch of fools. 911 is the most important subject that should come out of this campaign. If this country goes for the empty suit Nobama, we will all be living through another 911. You can depend on it.

    Obama's mother was 18.

Sarah Palin's daughter is 17. Teen pregnancy rates are thru the roof. At least her daughter isn't using Abortion as a form of contraception.

    Obama's experience = 1 year as a Senator.

I thought liberals were more understanding when it comes to social issues? Apparently, only when the person in question is a liberal

    Hypocrites!!!!!

I remember that Jack Cafferty said more than 10% of Republican senators were boycotting their own convention. I agree with this idea and plan on boycotting not only the Republican convention but, also Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Morning Joe on MSNBC.

  15. Democrat for McCain

The democratic party has become a party of haters, cynics, and people just looking for the government to pay their way. It is no longer representative of America and no longer the party I grew up with cheering Kennedy Clinton and others

As a life long Democrat, I am voting for McCain - Obama is not ready and Biden cannot shut up long enough to do anything. And with an 18% approval rating (lowest in history and lower than Bush) I do not see the Congress of Pelosi and reid doing anything that they promised. And to all my fellow Dems – you are blinded by the media bias - John McCain is NOT George Bush – naver has been and never will be

  16. SONGBIRD MCCAIN

What happens when McCain gets yet another skin cancer growth and has to leave our government in charge of a creationist yahoo who doesn't believe in global warming, but believes that rape and incest victims should be forced to give birth.

Note to Songbird, by "change", the American public was hoping for change forward, not change back to the pre-enlightenment period.

And how to you Repuglicans justify the death penalty and your "pro-life" stances? When you are a glob of cells and goo, you're a person worthy of life, but not when you're fully developed? And how do you justify a smaller government but demand that it steps in and makes a woman choose a detrimental life decision against her own will?

    You're all such hypocrites.

    Good God people.

Look at what you are writing hear and read the writing on the wall. It is the uber left and the uber right that are ruining this country. You have to a left wing freak to get the democratic nomination and a right wing freak to get the republican nomination. Anyone with ideas that might seem sensible hasn't got a chance in either party.

Neither side/party truely cares what happens as long as long as THEY win and THEY have the power to do what they want, whether it is good for the country or not.

Birds of a feather flock together. "Family values" for the Republican Party has sadly become a farce of hypocrisy. It is unbelievable how the party does not hold Guiliani and McCain up to the same level of their double standards.

The American people will just flock to you to take care of them after reading comments like this on the blog.

Please continue to help our cause.

Thank You for futher empowering the Republican Party.

    Who cares!?!?!?!?!

I want to know how and why journalists and people like Amy Goodman were falsely arrested and manhandled by the St. Paul gestapo! I'm appalled and angry that this is taking place there without coverage from the commercial media.

Get on with the important news.
