Lohan voices her point of view on her myspace blog.

ST PAUL, Minnesota (CNN) – Hollywood starlette Lindsay Lohan is entering the political arena Tuesday, posting a blog on her myspace page addressing the pregnancy of the 17- year-old-daughter of John McCain's running mate, Sarah Palin.

"I think the real problem comes from the fact that we are taking the focus off of getting to know Sarah Palin and her political views, and what she can do to make our country a less destructive place," Lohan writes. "It's distracting from the real issues, the real everyday problems that this country experiences."

"I am concerned with the fact that Sarah Palin brought the attention to her daughter's pregnancy, rather than all world issues and what she believes she could possibly do to change them-if elected," Lohan continues. "I get Sarah Palin's views against abortion, but I would much prefer to hear more about what she can do for our country rather than how her daughter is going to have a child no matter what."

If the Palin family wish to keep their daughter's pregnancy private, then why is the boyfriend joining the family on tomorrow night? Keep it private, keep the boyfriend at home. Now that we are all aware of Bristol's pregnancy, perhaps she needs a rest too, she too could stay at home. This would be the most private option for the entire party

Lindsey Lohan has spoken. I feel much better now.

Obama does not have the executive experience that Palin has. Obama is the Presidential candidate and has had less than 150 days in the Senate. His campaign promises are not fiscally responsible. He is supposed to be a change agent, but he picked someone who was politics as usual as his running mate. McCain is the candidate with the experience to be president, and who selected a running mate who is a change agent and both have worked across party lines to get things done. I"m tired of politics as usual. I'm voting for McCain!

Palin did not bring up her daughter, the press got wind of the story and she asked for them to leave this as a private matter within their family. Palin has been the governor of the state of Alaska with a great deal of success as a change agent and of bringing together both parties to do the work of the state.

yes, what she said.

I used to be a Democrat   September 2nd, 2008 6:36 pm ET

It is ironic that the Lohan's are more intelligent than 95% of Democrats.

Today's Democrats are sexist, sexist, sexist.

Jim   September 2nd, 2008 6:35 pm ET

Wow, I'm impressed. Looks like America and even those like Paris and Britney and Lohan are smarter than the republican liars give them credit for.

We're not as dumb as they think, and I cannot wait until november to give them a reality check!

Lance   September 2nd, 2008 6:34 pm ET

No one has to attack this woman based on gender, she's just a straight up crook, man, woman or otherwise.

Republicans are paying bloggers to fill the blog spaces. Attorneys and McCain campaign people being sent to Alaska to "clean up" more of Palin's mess past and present. The Republicans are running around, covering up, pushing false credentials and hyping their "fluff" ticket.

Governor Palin's resume: 'Fringe' Alaskan Secessionist Party Member… Almost Recalled As Mayor… Directed Fundraising For Indicted Senator Ted Steven's 527… Troopergate Scandal… Calls Iraq A War For Oil… Admits She Hasn't 'Really Focused On Iraq '… Palin painted the current war in Iraq as a messianic affair in which the United States could act out the will of the Lord…Alaska National Guard General: Palin Plays No Role In National Defense….was for bridge to nowhere before against it…secured 27 million in earmarks and pork for Alaska small town even though she is against and
is a maverick…calls Sen. Clinton a "whiner", approval rating 65%, not
85% as told by Republicans when first announced as vp candidate.

"Eight is Enough!"

WOW... go back to rehab Lindsey and stay clear of politics baby before you hurt yourself by using the two little brain cells you have left.

"Puh-leeze don't over exert yourself, we as a "sober" nation would hate to watch it on TV.

John Hussein OBAMA   September 2nd, 2008 6:33 pm ET

HA! Even Lindsey Lohan gets it. You know your ticket is about to crash and burn when rehabbing celebrities offer insight as to how you screwed up your own campaign. Go Lohan!

CAM   September 2nd, 2008 6:31 pm ET

Lohan & Obama – two shallow celebrities with nothing of value to share. Why does anyone listen to either one? What next – George Clooney on how to run foreign policy.

Mat   September 2nd, 2008 6:28 pm ET

Really, you're reporting on the comments and political views of a drunken celbrity? Really?

Concerned Cate   September 2nd, 2008 6:23 pm ET

Sarah Palin will become the ultimate scapegoat. Now that the republicans have money from the "christian right" ,thanks to her pick as VP, she will bow out of the race and McCain will probably pick Tom Ridge. The republican party has money for the McCain race, who knows what Sarah Palin might get, and McCain will get a running mate he actually knows. It will be interesting to see how it will play out!

I am really begfinning to think that Republicans and the media doesnt listen.. I am glad that Bristol is keeping her baby if and I stress IF that is her choice and not her families... The problem I have is just that the right to choose. I dont want to live as we are in the 1900s. We are in the 20th centry approaching the 21st. Taking away the right to choose is one step closer to the right to vote.. That is what I dont agree with..

observer   September 2nd, 2008 6:22 pm ET

A secessionist in the party of Lincoln. Report the news cnn

Betilu   September 2nd, 2008 6:22 pm ET

In case you are still pondering about Sarah Palin and her family 's problems, she had to set the record straight with all the left and the right side. You do things that you think are right for you. Allow the same for Sarah and her family. I have seen how the media has trashed your life and felt very badly for you. I know you have alot of good ideas about families.

EX-PUMA   September 2nd, 2008 6:22 pm ET

And I quote, “Only in Republican America would a black man with a law degree from Harvard, 12 years in politics, four years on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and manager of one of the most impressively flawless and forward thinking presidential campaigns ever not be ready for the presidency while a white female evangelical with 19 months in national politics and a bachelors in journalism is considered ‘ready on day one’.”

mel   September 2nd, 2008 6:22 pm ET

And won't be the first or last time that we see an expecting teenager. Amen to that, what I want to know Sarah Palin why will you endenger your baby's life by not running to the nearest hospital after you water broke???? why will you give an speech for 30 minutes and then take an eight hour fly back to Alaska???? that was that first thing that I heard about you. that shows very poor jugdment, not caring about that life that you had inside, not mentioning your own one. I do not need permission of my Doctor to tell me that is ok for me to board the plane. I work in the insurance medical field, I know no Dr. will risk his lisence that way. I have two daughters. Water breaks is time to run.

Nan   September 2nd, 2008 6:21 pm ET

Seriously, when Lindsay Lohan has more common sense than the VP candidate for president we should all be very afraid.

Sharryl Norris   September 2nd, 2008 6:20 pm ET

I think movie stars should stay out of politics. They have high visibility, vote, and are entitled to their opinion, but do not always consider both sides of the issue.

Sarah Palin is focused on her daughter's pregnancy now because the press is demanding answers. The story only broke a couple days ago. I certainly think we'll get to know Palin better this week and in the future.

Ambrose Smith, Borrego Springs, California   September 2nd, 2008 6:20 pm ET

Sarah Palin has been button lipped lately.

Laying low and letting Republican mouthpieces chime in for her.

She is waiting on her cliche speech.

And I dare her to mention Hillary Clinton again! I dare her!

Jess, NC   September 2nd, 2008 6:18 pm ET

You know something..she has a great point!!

Anything to steer attention away from what really matters!! Typical Republicans..

Linda   September 2nd, 2008 6:17 pm ET

Yes Linday, we need to hear about the issues, but how can you possibly claim the sexism and attacks about the Palins and her family, Bristol and all are her doing for stating her daughter is pregnant.

Surely you must be joking. I supposed you weren't around for the Obama campaign and surrogates spreading rumors about Gov Palin's Downs Syndrome newborn was really her teenage daughrers. And that they everyone else is trying to make a story out of anything Palin has done as a detraction, because they can't attack her on the issues.

Place blame squarely where it is due.

Or are you going to claim that if Govenor Palin didn't acknowledge her family and obvious facts, everyone else would have just ignored it. LOL

WERE BRITNEY AND PARIS BUSY?   September 2nd, 2008 6:17 pm ET

McCryt is indeed doomed, when Linsey Lohan starts dissing the VP pick!!!!

Looks like Cindy will have to pony up the bucks to get the "Straight Talk Express" back in order. Not only has it lost all 4 wheels, put it has now dropped the transmission!

Aksarben   September 2nd, 2008 6:17 pm ET

Who gives a flip what this drugged out celebrity thinks? Her opinion has no value ...

Leah   September 2nd, 2008 6:17 pm ET

Palin is offensively against women's issues. It is not sexist to point that out. It isn't sexist to point out that what isn't working in her own home–won't work as public policy. It isn't sexist to look at her limited and scandal ridden experience and think "what was McCain thinking?"
and CNN –why is the title of this article–"Attacks Against Palin are Sexist?"
On anyone's payroll because, I am not seeing a report on the news.

A Brick   September 2nd, 2008 6:17 pm ET

I thought she was in rehab still – Lohan, not Palin

Just what Sarah Palen, and JohnMCCain, needed – HELP & ADVICE from Lindsey Lohan.

Maybe Lindsey Lohan's Mom wil lbe next to give advice to Sarah Palen.

I'm lovin' it.

The soap opera joke that American politics is decending into.

If this year's primary/election process isn't a loud wake-up call to limit revise, modernize, and limit this process to s 6-8 week election season, NOTHING WILL EVER DO IT.

Think of all the money, time, energy, and mental health we will no have to lose, if this multi-year campaign sseason was limted to 6-8 weeks.

Anyone else intereste din overhauling our current system?

Denise   September 2nd, 2008 6:15 pm ET

Never thougt I would say this, but I agree with Lohan. What was Palin thinking of when she accepted? She is no longer a private citizen, but a public one. Did she not recognize that? Everything you do, say, eat, drink, is scrutinized.
I do not know whose judgment is worse, McCain or hers!

Dready1rasta   September 2nd, 2008 6:14 pm ET

Lindsay Lohan huh.....her opinion will certainly sway my vote in November. Geez!!!!

erica - greensboro, nc   September 2nd, 2008 6:14 pm ET

Lohan can see this clearly unlike mccain and palin who think that everything's okay.

Desmond Sequeira   September 2nd, 2008 6:13 pm ET

Very perceptive, Lindsay Lohan!

I'm so glad linsay agrees. PUH-lease. The last thing we need is her chimming in on this dog and pony show. Who at CNN is in love with lohan that they check her myspace???
