Hey Belle... Didn't you know that the BULK of Palin's experience was as a MAYOR in the city hall pictured in Carville's hands?

Since you seem to think you're so informed and that James is not. LOL...

Haha! I love Carville!

This is exactly the stuff the republicans have been trying to push. Nobody ever brought up her gender as a disqualifying issue. What disqualifies her is that she was the MAYOR of a small town in ALASKA. She has ZERO foreign policy experience, and has never been in the halls of Washington even ONCE.

She lacks the experience, connections, and know-how necessary to do an effective job of administering the operation of the greatest nation on earth, and I think the republicans know it. They've just got to defend her for the sake of their party, but we all know this VP pick was a flop. I haven't talked to a single person that thinks its a good idea.

Sexism? That's the Republican response to criticism of Palin, legitimate or otherwise, huh? Whether the mayor's male or female, a hick town is a hick town.

“She easily has more qualifications than Sen. Obama and Sen. Biden put together, if you look at executive experience,”

What a Joke?? is this lady out of her mind? Lady, go back to school and learn the definition of "executive experience".

Republicans believe in tokenism and interchangeability. When Jack Ryan dropped out of the 2004 Senate race in Illinois, the state GOP officials scrambled to find a replacement. They turned down many public figures with good (for Republicans) records and long ties to the community, in favor of picking Alan Keyes as their candidate to oppose Obama. Alan Keyes, who was not from Illinois and had never been from Illinois, was put up against Obama. The Illinois GOP thought that people were only going to vote for Obama because of his race, and not his abilities or his positions. They thought that one black guy was interchangeable for another black guy.

Fast forward to last week. The national-level GOP, with McCain as their sacrificial lamb this year (because it's his turn in the spotlight and because they know they are going to lose), believed the media hype about disaffected Clinton supporters and they thought a woman VP is a woman VP. They thought that Clinton supporters were only voting for Clinton because she is a woman, and will vote for McCain/Palin only because he has a woman on the ticket. It's not going to work, for two reasons.

First, the Democrats aren't divided. It was much hyped by the media that we were, and they managed to find a handful of sore losers out there, but even going into the convention things weren't that bad. And after the speeches by Hillary and Bill, the party is definitely unified. The Democrats aren't the political party where a failed candidate is holding a shadow convention in a nearby city; that's Ron Paul and the Republicans. Second, the Democrats aren't stupid. We know that there is no comparison between a pro-choice seasoned political veteran and a pro-life newbie. I think McCain insulted a lot of women voters with his pick. And by "a lot", I mean any woman voter who doesn't consider herself God's Baby Factory.

The RNC knows it is going to lose. McCain knows it, look at his face when he appears in public with Palin. In addition to nervously fiddling with his wedding ring and ogling Palin's caboose, the emotions chasing themselves across McCain's face show that he knows he is only out there to lose. Sarah Palin is out there to energize the religious right and keep them loyal to the Republicans, and to get her name out there for her future national-level political career. Look for her to be a Senator representing Alaska inside of the next ten years.

Meanwhile, Obama and Biden win handily in November.

Actually Carville's REPEATED calling Palin a Mayor instead of the GOVERNOR OF ALASKA...which she is, might make Hillary R. Clinton ashamed he was supporting her.

JAMES--WHY didn't you SHOW a picture of Alaska's State Capitol?

Did anyone get a chance to see Larry King last night. Wow that comedian (can't remeber her name) just totally tee-offed in that Congresswoman. What she said for those who did not see it was that the Repubs are trying to make a comparison between Hillary Clinton and Palin. The only thing they have in common is gender. I still say the Rebub's picked Palin for 2 reason, one they thought Hillary supporters were actually going to support her and two, to generate some exciting regarding diversity in thier party as the Dems have. Hey Repubs, PALIN IS NOT IN THE SAME UNIVERSE AS HILLARY! Palin does not have fraction of the experience, the strength, the courage, the brain of Hillary. Comparing Palin to Hillary is like comparing a 10 speed (Palin) to a Motorcycle (Hillary)! And the Dems didn't have to create excitment, it was already there. The Dem Party has a very intellectual strong experienced gentleman and an outstanding, straight foward, grounded experienced African American battling for the White House . You on the other hand have a retread of the same old Repub philosphy and a ex beauty pagent contestant, who ran small town and has been Gov of a state with less than a million in whole for 2 years. Say what you want about Obama but he did serve in the State Legistration and is U.S. Senator. He is highly educated and is known for Bipartisianship. Both Obama and Biden are kicking both McCain's and Palin butts on morals and values, which you the Repubs seem to think you own . Obama and Biden have control over thier kids, they didn't leave thier wives for a younger rich little girl after his wife stood beside him in his darkest days. They are not caught up in a scandal because their siblings can't handle there own personal business. Both Obam and Biden are morally superior, politically superior and intellectually superior by themselves than both McCain and Palin combined. Maybe the Repub Party should cancel the convention, save their money and wait until 2012 to try again. You made a questionable choice picking McCain to lead your party and a very ignorant choice picking Palin to run with him. And if you wanted to show diverity, you had a much better choice of Women, Hispanics, Asians and African Americans to choose from. As much as I am not a fan of hers, I'd rather you had picked Kay Bailey Hutchenson, someone with at least some experience than pick Palin, who probaly will never recover from the bashing she will get. You Repubs have ruined her life and her career trying to upstage what the Dems have done, not manufacturing the perception of change, but really wanting a different Washington and American.

Yada, yada yada. More rhetoric from so called "clinton" supporters. I was a Clinton supporter until she sold out to the corrupt DNC and kissed donkey butt just to further her "career" in politics. Hillary said she was for the people and doing the right thing. NOT. The minute the DNC pressured her , she crumbled. I am going for the STRONG candidate and that's the war hero who has a woman twice as strong as Hillary on his ticket.
You DNC minions who are drinking the corrupt kool aid of Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama can attack Gov. Palin all you want but it just makes you look bad. You were sexist and attacked Hillary relentlessly and now you've done the same to a woman who has more morals than Nancy Pelosi ever thought about. Any woman who votes for the DNC ticket ought to be ashamed. The very fact that you would put the welfare of a race who has advanced far faster than women in this country is just degrading anf humiliating. Do you want your daughters to continue being slaves in every manner? Or do you want them to grow up having the same opportunities as every male and every race in America? because right now...women are far behind! And any of you who vote against putting women ahead are just plain foolish.
