Every Republican is saying the same speech in the same words in the same way - Palin is experienced, she has more than Barack...blah, blah, blah.

We know McCain didn't send out the email telling everyone what to say. Oh yeah, he's just the Rep. puppet - his team did that!

So pathetic!

Pawlenty and Romney had better toe the party line and defend McCain's poor judgment in picking Gov. Palin!

There's a decent chance Palin soon may be forced to resign due to the mounting crisis over her lack of qualifications. In that case, McCain might likely pick Pawlenty or Romney to save his campaign.

Would they think it was a "private matter" if it was Biden, Clinton or Obama's daughter? The Republican party would attack so quickly and relentless on the "family value" issue that it would make your head spend.

There is a reason why this is becoming less of an issue and not the firestorm it would be if the tables were turned.

And the reason?

Barcak Obama. He said to back off and leave the Palin family alone. That's the reason. Common sense leadership from the next President of the United States.

What a joke! Newt is blowing smoke. Her absolute inexperience is what comes to mind when thinking of issues with her VP Candidacy. I could care less about her underage alcohol consuming, knocked up out of wedlock teenager. That doesn't effect me, but if this woman falls into the oval office because of McCain's gimmicky campaign choice, America is going to Hades in a hand basket!

We are talking about a potential leader to the free world.
Palin has baggage period. We know next to nothing about her and the MCcain camp is spinning instead of campaigning.
Did MCcain feel that someone under investigation for abuse of power ( troopergate ) was a good choice ? Does MCcain indorse having children at sixteen ? What makes Palin qualified to be the leader of the free world. It's seems like another oil ticket , the GOP wants oil in Alaska. Pick an unqualified Governor to get it ? Come on . Even the ignorant republicans are not that stupid.

MCcain/Palin = Oil/Oil

Obama/Biden = path to energy independence

Obama is steering away from the pregnant daughter because making it an issue trivializes it.

Palin is her mother; see how she handled it?

She didn't, she's allowing the fire-eyed, Christian right to do it and substantiate it!

Imagine if Obama's daughters were older and this happened to one of them, the evangelicals would be having a field day with it, to be sure!!!

This woman could be a heartbeat away from the Presidency if McCain wins. Think about that very carefully, very carefully! When it comes to that, Biden has her smoked!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could care less about Palin's family matters. What matters to me is the fact this woman has already abused power in her capacity as Gov. This VP choice, vetted or not, is a disaster and shows a complete lack of judgment on McCain's part. Did he really expect the women in America to fall for this?

McCain's judgement is a disgrace. Please replace Palin with a real VP candidate……just in case McCain wins this election.

I'm not surprised that 3 top Republicans support McCain's ill advised and poorly planned choice for VP. Are they going to act like sore losers and say, "Yes, she's horribly underqualified and he should have chose me". Its called party politics, and its is a reminder that because of the last 8 years of miserable leadership that the Republican's are desperate to create a legacy out of a latrine.

He could have selected any number of better qualified and experienced women or men as VP. I could care less whether it is a man or woman, old or young. If they are the best person for the job, then so be it. McCain's statement to everyone is that a 2 year governor is the best person for the job, and the proper replacement for him should anything befall him. I think not. Let her deal with her family buisness in her own way with her loved ones. Her national and political naiveté with a major political office is sufficient enough to dismiss this candidate outright.

Even if Palin wasn't the hot issue, Obama clearly has the vision, drive, and experience (even if not as extensive as the other candidates) to lead this country and provide a brighter and better day for all Americans.

In most families, when the teenage daughter has a baby and get's married, the new couple moves in with the inlaws. Can we expect that to happen this time?

After all, the ReTHUGlicans are spinning this episode as a common American occurance .... but it's not.

What??? Vetting of Palin? How about why would Obama vet a plagiarist whose son received funds from Obama as a lobbyist?

Oh wait, it's the Democrats. That's par for the course.

Governer Palin has much more experience then Obama, she's is on the ticket as VP and he is running for the Presidency. She was in elected office for years prior to becoming Mayor in Alaska and then elected as Govenor of Alaska. She is well versed with the Oil Industry. Obama's comparison that his campaign equates to this experience is downright rediculous! This is truly grasping at straws. I have been a Democrat for many years and I am 44 years old now. If Obama thinks that Democrats are actually DummyCrats he is wrong! He is he trying to fool, his comparison was absolutely Juvenile. This Democrat will be casting her vote for the McCain/Palin ticket. All Obama has on his side is foreign policy experience and only at a senate level at that.

Democrat for McCain/Palin 08

As a Hilary supporter I am beyond appaled by this. It is downright insulting. Almost like a spit in the face. How on earth could anyone even put this woman in the same room as Hilary.

And to think there's a possibility that this woman could be no. 2 is just insane. What if something happen to McCain? I don't even trust Palin's loyalty to the United States let alone have her lead it. I mean come on!

Palin's daughter prenant? Palin is not running for Vice President of the PTA but for the second highest office of the United States. If she can't run her own family how do we expect her to run our country?

I agree that the media shouldn't through mud, but we should hold the Replican Vice Presidential appointee accountable.

Folks, there are major newspapers all over the country - including Anchorage, Alaska - running very informative pieces about Palin. You need to vet her for yourselves. Check places like Anchorage, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York….

You'll be amazed at what you aren't hearing on TV or radio. Her own home state newspaper has excellent info - including a front page article today about how she wasn't vetted by the McCain camp.

She voted for the pork belly project for the bridge to nowhere and now she reverses her opinion since she is running for VP. She also has the investigation going on for ethics which is the reason why we SHOULD NOT TRUST HER as our VP. Not to mention her 17 year old daughter is pregnant out of wedlock. What kind of example is this for young americans? I guess young woman will think if our vice president's daughter got preganant out of wedlock at 17, then why can't I? This is not the example a VP should be showing. I am a republican who is very much against her nomination. She is not the best qualified republican woman for this job.

It is sreally strange that so many people have McCain already dead and buried and Palin in his office. He'll probably out live a whole big bunch of us. He is tough and that kind of man does not go out easily. Bet he reachs 100. There is no dirt shoveled on his casket as yet no matter how much some Dems would like to see it.

Go back and look at the family on Monday. They all had the deer in the headlight sad look.

This is all about a woman who wears the pants in the family.

I doubt if the VP nomination was the 'surprise' her husband thought she was giving him for their anniversary!

Does that mean he didn't know? She makes decisions on her own, irregardless of how they affect her children.

Do not defend a tempermental old man who couldn't even answer your question about Viagra!

The vitriolic hate mongering by the left is typical and typifies the intolerence and condenscending attitudes of the left. If you disagree with the left they hate you and demonize you. If this is a reflection of the change we are to expect from Obama the most liberal member of the Senate and Biden the third most liberal member of the Senate, expect government through intimidation because of the blind fanatisism of his supporters. Palin reflects middle America, the pains and the successes. Her daughter having a child is irrelevant. Obama on the other hand did drugs and has never held a real job. Even though the Republicans screwed up, I'm not voting for a candiadate supported by irrational hate mongers. Go McCain/Palin.

If her daughter is off limits, WHY ARE THEY (REPUBLICANS) STILL TALKING ABOUT IT?

I agree, lets move on to, oh, let's say, all her other baggage: two investigations (only one talked about) into misconduct, hunts wolves from planes, allows wolf cubs to be pulled from their dens and be shot because she wants to preserve the moose population, AIP, creationism, flying home from texas while in labor.

I watched an interview with her yesterday and all answers were about Alaska and Oil. Questions about national issues always revereted back to Alaska and oil. Where is her experience in national issues, foreign policy (being near Canada or Russian does not count).

"Even more so, the fact that Mccain has choses this
inexperienced hocky mom for a very important post
show his total lack of care or concern for the

What do you say about the DNC that chooses an inexperienced Senator showing their total lack of care or concern for the future of our country. Try and name one thing that Obama has "reached across the aisle" for being that he is the most liberal senator. If Biden is so great and ready to be president, why has he been so unsuccessful in his last two attempts?

Palin's toast. She'll drop out because of the "media scrutiny" and her need to protect her family from the National Enquirer types. The g.o.p. will blame the "liberal" blogs.

I'll start by saying that I'm a supporter of the Obama/Biden ticket and am looking forward to the upcoming debates. I hope that qualifications means more than gender, parenting skills, and a pretty face. If I were an active Republican woman I would be furious You can't tell me that there aren't intelligent, qualified women in the Republican party; if the party wishes to go with a woman VP that's fine but at least choose someone who a thinking person could say hmmmm, possibly.

Ms. Palin is a just a little left of Attila the Hun to compare her to Hillary Clinton is obscene. To think that ANY Hillary supporter would consider throwing there vote to the Republicans because of this VP is an insult to a remarkable intelligent woman. Hillary Clinton is for women and children not a controlling freak of nature.

I agree that the children of politicians, and other PUBLIC people should be off limits. But the truth be told, Gov. Palin is the one who decided to thrust her daughter into the public microscope.

As a mother of two, I can not imagine placing my daughter into this fray. I cannot think of a job I would want bad enough to put her through what Bristol Palin is facing.

Fire Aim ready. No folks I did not get it backwards. This is McCain's answer to all problems. Fire:first. Aim:Maybe. Be ready:NEVER.

It is so clear that we have got to vote for Obama/Biden and other Democrats to get this country away from these Republicans before they sink this country forever.

It's not about the daughter, stupids! It's about the Republican Party claiming to be the party of Family Values... and then their poster child VP pick obvious doesn' have them!

It's about the Republican Party claiming that 'abstinence only' should be the only thing taught in our schools, when such programs not only have proven to have a high failure rate... but has also failed in Palin's own daughter.

It's about not being able to walk-the-walk... and Republicans have failed yet one more time.

WAKE UP, AMERICA!!! VOTE SMART... NOT SENILE!!!

Here's the real issue - Where does governor Palin stand on important social issues. Palin released a statement saying she was proud of her daughter's CHOICE to have her baby. What choice? Unless...
wow, maybe she's pro choice? What if her daughter had decided NOT to have the baby or NOT to marry the father? Can't have it both ways, kiddo.

Sarah scares the living Bejesus out of the Democrats. She rode no hubby coattails to the top. She has far more experience than the Dem's top of the ticket. Democrats must destroy her. Just read the comments above. Six weeks ago I was leaning Obama, and also approved of his pick of Biden. Not now. McCain / Palin in '08 !!
