We hear "They had congress, but we were president" or "we were president but they had congress", or worse, " once we have it all, we can make change..." They have not fixed any of the problems.

at the end of the day, I'm not sure this isn't what McCain was looking for . . .a huge amount of news coverage. And with much of it pretty negative . . .will give him a great platform for railing against "the liberal media."

I'd like for this to be an election on the merits and on the positions, not on the circus. This year, the Republicans could win a circus election, not one based on the marketplace of ideas. That's the danger in the media storm.

Ok. The mark of a great leader is not to work from a list of responsibilities and tasks, but to define the responsibilities and to create the list. Obama's time as a community organizer, or in the state and U.S. senate, didn't come with a cheat sheet of what needed to be done. He took the lead and made that list himself - then he executed it.

After seeing Palin in action, I realize that Hillary is a saint. She is a qualified politician and a decent mother to her daughter.

Palin is going to spout petty remarks and try to discredit Obama's experience as a way to try to justify her own paltry record. It sounds like, once again, instead of talking about the issues, we will get more of McSAME tonight. Obama didn't put experience at the forefront of this campaign - the Republicans did. Then they muddied their own argument by adding Palin, who needed to be sent into hiding and trained on how to give the speech she is about to give. This election is about issues and change, and how to get our country back on track after 8 years of a deplorable administration. Obama/Biden is the ticket that can make that happen.

I hope and pray that Americans UNITE and vote for Obama/Biden!

The speeches look so programmed. I couldn't even watch one speech all the way through without changing the channel at least once.

I have one question: Does Palin at least have a law degree? Does McCain?

If the United States picks McCain for president, we will all be praying for "God to Bless America" – we are going to be in bad shape.

We hear she will take a swipe at Obama, someone who wrote two books, went to top universities, self-made man, defeated the Clinton machine, sound judgment on Iraq (now Bush follows him), on afghanistan (McCain follows him). Please. Soon, she will be happy to return to her moose.

Would someone PLEASE make note that Ms. Palin does not even have a Master's Degree. You can't even get a GS9 government position with out a Master's Degree! What is she doing running as a VP? She may be doing great in Alaska, but she ought to stay there. If something happens to the "old" McCain, do we really want her as a President? And her experience and education cannot compare to Obama's. What happened to his 6 years in the state legislature and then as a State Senator? I guess a law degree from Harvard doesn't mean much any more!

I was a Hillary supporter but I certainly am not going to change my vote just b/c there is a woman (who does not come close to Hillary's experience) on the ticket. Give me a break!

When did we become fans that jeer and taunt the opponents on the rival team. I have read some of the other posts on other articles and they are hateful toward Republicans and I have seen some people respond in kind.

Comments like getting rid of all the people who belong to a party or to make generalized statements like all "fill in the blank" are idiots and a waste of space are no less wrong than comments concerning race, gender, or religion.

When you start to treat people differently because of their political views/beliefs you are no different than people who treat people differently because of skin color or sexual orientation.

I have chosen to put my life at risk to defend the public's right to speak freely. Please don't use that right to justify hateful conversation. I challenge you all to be better than that.
