I love Governor Jendel, he is Louisiana's answer to that state.

I am so excited about this ticket, I truly dont believe the last time I felt so energized by an election. I am a Democrat, female, 44 years old. I am pro-choice but respect people's pro-life stance. I even find myself being more toward pro-life just becuase I am a proud mother and just recently a proud grandmother. I like Sara Palin, she has more experience in Public office at city councel level, mayor level and Governership of the Oil rich state of Alaska. She has more experience then any of the running candidates. I like the fact that she is a reformer and fights corruptive government. She is also well verced in the oil industry, they know not to mess with her! I am voting for the Maverick who selected this great VP.

Go John McCain, we love you!

This is sour grapes. I called one of my friends in AK and verified this info. It is a bit twisted.

As a republican I was on the fence between Obama & McCain. Hoping if Obama picks Hillary for VP, I could vote for Obama. Then with the Biden pick, I thought .. well OK at least Biden is an individual with the set of experience that would be a respectable support for the presidency .. and if necessary Biden could handle being the President.

Then I said, well maybe McCain would make a wise choice and pick a VP who would be strong on Finance/Economy, and possibly a person who would be equally respectable. Thus McCain could get my vote based on his wise judgement and a good VP pick.

Well, with Palin as a choice, I was completely disgusted. Disgusted to see a person chosen for being a female (to win Hillary's voters) and for being a right-wing conservative (to please the Huckabee voters).

Well McCain is wrong on both counts .. a disastrous wrong pick !!

Palin (a mother) accepted this position without any concern for the kids upbringing .. at least for the next 4 years, even though she was well aware that one of em was involved in pre-marital sex and got pregnant. What about the other kids. It shows she definitely doesn't care, and also tells me that she would do the same for me, my family, my kids and their future.

"Let the Choices You make Today ... be Choices You can Live with Tomorrow"

Instead of focusing on their "proper" education and well being, she wants to be next in line to the most powerful position in this free world. The institution of presidency is not a part time job.

My Choice today will be Obama, so that me and my family and my kids can Live a healthy prosperous Tomorrow.

For me being pro-life means living a healthy & a prosperous life and doing the right thing.

"More experience as Obama, give me a break. Liars thats what you republicans are.

Running the ship down and expect from all emericans a bonus of more 4 years of the same.

They really think americans are brainless and fall for McCain, Palin and Lieberman.

Is she paving a new road for the republicans? Who of these two are calling the shots in washington if they are elected?

No thanks, a dont believe any of them, it is just to get in power, after that its business as usual.

And that is a fact.

Obama /Biden 08"

Obama has no experience as well, he has been running for president since he became a senator. Speaking of business as usual, how is that democratic congress doing?

The McCain campaign is playing a calculated game orchestrated by Steve Schmidt (ROVE CLONE). They are blaming what they call liberal media and the left simply because we question Sarah Palin on her qualifications and her stand on issues. This is not true, do not let them get away with it! The media is not against Sarah Palin and the Democrats as well as independents do not like her simply because she is female. How dare they cry sexist because we criticize her. These are their talking points and they are not true. The reason many many do not like her is that she is extremely far to the right (she makes George Bush look like a liberal) and she is simply not ready to be vice president, let alone president.
Everyone needs to be aware of the games the McCain campaign is playing in attempt to get the media to back off and for people to be quiet. We will not be silenced. Sarah Palin and John McCain are dangerous for America!

I am totally disgusted with the Republican Party and thier hypocritical Guns, God and Patriotism theme. 4 more years of this nonsense could easily ruin what little economy we have left. These same people that bashed teenage pregnancy for the last 20 years now wear buttons proclaiming " I support un-wed Mothers". Being a Christian my entire life I fail to see any comparison between Christ and these gun toting neocons.

I wonder what the polls are saying now. I doubt McCain will get the boost that he needed after the RNC tonight. I am really anxious to see how she delivers.... Very doubtful that it will even be news worthy but I bet the Repubs act like its the best that they have ever seen, ever..

It is apparent, that the Republican Party and some of those who support
John McCain will sell their souls for him to become president. They claim that they are all excited and he has the winning ticket. If this is true, they all thought they had the winning ticket to become President or Vice President, take a good look at them now they are all rejects and has been: Sen. Joe Lieberman, Gov. Mike Huckabee, and Gov. Mitt Romney, Sen. Fred Thompson and Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is expected to come out swinging. They all had it, but they all lost it and they all want it back. IT’S OVER!

Get your facts - think for yourself...
The majority of the US Media is liberal and biased. They have an agenda to push and in this case they want "Change". And the Palin "change" is not what they had in mind and they are digging deeper and harder than ever before to push their view point on the American Public. It is very unfortunate that they have strayed so far from the truth in reporting. The Facts – the Verified Factual Facts, with no personal opinion. Also unfortunate is the fact that the average American is allowing others to think for them. Look at the youth today… they don’t have a clue, asked them what “change” means to them and they don’t have a clear answer. We are in deep trouble if we allow this sort of reporting to influence our decisions. Americans - THINK! It’s time to think, research on your own, put in perspective what you hear, what the consequences will be. Look back in history… oh lets say 40-50 years ago and look in on Cuba….Castro promised change….and look what they got.
Is this what we want...we are heading that way!

Obama Zombies,

Polls mean nothing - America will not buy the hype in November.

People are just waiting for the chance to cast that vote. The arrogance of the media and Obama is going to bite them.

Or as Obama's "spiritual mentor" once stated "The chickens are coming home to roost" on Obama's head.....

Vote McCain or join the insane....

With all due respect again to Governor Kaine, he’s been a governor for three years, he’s been able but undistinguished,” Rove said. “I don’t think people could really name a big, important thing that he’s done. He was mayor of the 105th largest city in America.”

Rove continued: “So if he were to pick Governor Kaine, it would be an intensely political choice where he said, `You know what? I’m really not, first and foremost, concerned with, is this person capable of being president of the United States.”

Tim Kaine”s experience:
- Governor of Virginia (pop: 7,643,000) - 2 years 8 months.
- Lt. Governor of Virginia - 4 years
- Mayor of Richmond (pop: 200,123) - 2 years
- City Council of Richmond - 4 years

Sarah Palin”s experience:
- Governor of Alaska (pop: 670,000) - 1 year 9 months.
- Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska (pop: 9,780)

Just in: McCain is going to replace Palin with Tim Kaine!!!!

McCain accepting the nomination isn't even going to make a stir, nowhere near the amount of people who watched Obama's speech are watching the RNC. The Republicans need to accept that they are now irrelevant, and rightly so, after the damage they've done to the nation.

Y'all gonna think I'm crazy (I am) but I can actually envision an Obama victory. This is the first campaign I can remember following (I'm Palen's age) where the first "loser" whiff I sensed came from the Republican candidate. It was briefly, right after the veep selection so... Just call me the Punxitawny Phil of Pundetry.

Corruption runs deep:

Todd works for the oil company BP as an oil-field production operator,[107] and is a member of District 12, Local 4959 of the United Steelworkers Union (USW).[108] He is a Bristol Bay salmon set-netter and owns a commercial fishing business.[109

Hmmmm....a little more Palin Retribution? Does Todd STILL work for BP?

"On Wednesday, Palin signed a bill into law giving the state of Alaska authority to award TransCanada Pipelines a license to build and operate the $26 billion dollar 1,715-mile pipeline. It will transport natural gas from the North Slope through Canada to the lower 48 states.

no way should Palin be replaced! I had not planned to vote at all
in this election, but sure will now. Would never have voted for Hillary, had she been picked. Obama would have had two VP's in
office....her and Bill! Once was enough of them.

presented the Alaska Gasline Inducement Act (AGIA) in 2007 as the new legal vehicle for building a natural gas pipeline from the state's North Slope. This negated a deal by the previous governor to grant the contract to a coalition including BP (her husband's former employer). Only one legislator, Representative Ralph Samuels, voted against the measure.

You guys are amazing. Seriously. McCain is far from my favorite anything and I would have voted for Hillary even though I have never been a big fan of the Clinton's I feel she was competent and I felt confident in her vision on enough of the issues.

Obama, not so much. Then he picks a pathological liar as his running mate and the deal was sealed. I have no intention of trying to make a point to you guys, obviously it could be on the Goodyear Blimp in your living rooms and you would still refuse to look at it. Your candidate is an empty suit at best and a dangerously ignorant politician at worst.

Hell my 9 year old is charming and charismatic and probably equally qualified to run the country as Barry-O. Hell she has more executive experience being the oldest of four children. He has never done anything except run for office and run from his past. Gosh I love revisionist historians, you guys are a hoot. If your candidate wins, I will be sitting around watching as everything goes to hell and you all wish you had not gone running after your fantasy candidate leaving the only viable candidate in the dust. If i was Hillary i would become a Republican and let the lot of you drown in your own self deluded righteousness.

I have five kids, joined the military and was pregnant with one while in training. My husband is also in the military.I have also been a sports mom for all my kids, as well as a soccer coach. Does that qualify me to run for vice president, cause i could really use the money.

Mccain : Palin Is A Loosing Ticket For Sure! This Woman Was Not Vetted By Mccain And Now The News Media Will Do It For Him! What They Find Will Show That John Mccain Has Very Poor Judgement And Is Not Fit To Be President! I Want A President That Thinks Before He Acts! Being A Worn Out Maverick Is Not Enough!

I find it odd that of the four candidates on the two parties tickets, ONLY Sarah Palin has any elected executive branch experience. The other three are legislators with no particular history of being in charge of anything governmental at all.

So why the flap about qualifications? Sure, she is not a nationally well known name. And, it would be great to know more about her positions on national issues. So why not just ask her after the speech that will likely answer most of these questions. Why challenge her "qualifications and experience" when she already has the only executive branch experience from either ticket?

Both campaigns are touting their ability to bring about change, and totally ignoring their combined half century in Washington that didn't seem to produce the change they talk about.

The way I see it,Sarah Palin is THE CANDIDATE of these four that really will be different and really could make a change!

How about giving her a chance to introduce her positions and ideas BEFORE you try to raise your ratings by blowing her away before she gets started!!!!

I am a Independent. I was undecided on which way to vote until John McCain picked Palin for his VP. I then begin to lean more toward the McCain camp. My choice was definitely made this morning when I heard a News Lady (if I may call her a lady) made the comment that the Palin family reminded her of Peyton Place. This comment was made after the Palin family met Mr. McCain at the airport. This was uncalled for.

NO! DON'T DO IT!!!!

You REALLY want change? I nominate Trig Palin for the Republican nomination! First infant Down-syndrome President!!!! THAT'S a ceiling that needs breaking. He'll probably be able to state the republican ideals fairly well.

POST IT CNN. YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!!

Who's gonna be brave enough to put Palin's name in nomination?

Maybe whomever does should go burn the U.S. Flag with her, her husband, and all their buddies in the Alaska First Sucessionist Party.

These unpatriotic zealots make me sick.

All we need is Sarah Palin with her finger on the button.

Way to go Johnny Boy!

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Democrats could reap electoral rewards from several years of political organizing, former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay said, a sentiment echoed by several other prominent conservatives.
