Palin to highlight reform

Palin will speak Wednesday night.

Palin will speak Wednesday night.

(CNN) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republicans' vice presidential candidate, will highlight her record as a governor and mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, when she speaks to the Republican National Convention Wednesday night. She will also call for reform in Washington, a top aide to Palin told CNN.

Watch: Palin tours RNC stage

"She will speak as a governor, a former mayor and someone with both hands on the steering wheel of America's energy economy," Palin aide Tucker Eskew said. "She will detail her record of shaking up the status quo in Alaska and standing up to entrenched interests to put the government back on the side of the people. She will make the case for senator McCain as the only candidate who has fought for America and the best man to protect us in dangerous times."

Palin is slated to speak in the prime-time 10 p.m. ET hour.

In other words, more fear mongering. I thought as much. Thanks CNN.

Talk about the Alaska Independence Party!

Talk about your work in 527s!

Talk about only being a part-time mayor!

Talk about the flip-flop on the Bridge to Nowhere!

She did this when he annouced her. The lady isn't ready and you can tell because the republican party has panic over the vetting of the media.

THIS IS NOT ABOUT HER BEING A WOMAN,...NOBODY WANTS TO ELECT SOMEONE BECAUSE OF GENDER..THIS IS ABOUT THE BAGGAGE THAT COMES ALONG WITH HER AND THAT IS SHE REALLY READY...YOU CAN'T KEEP HER FROM THE MEDIA...TRUST ME...

    –shaking up the status quo

It's like they are trying to make her out to be the Obama of the Republican party.

What reform is she talking about. She is being investigated for abuse of power. She is a total mess without a shred of experience or common sense. Anyone that supports abstinence only is a fool. Life is not black & white there is a lot of grey. Kids should be educated about everything so they can make more informed decisions when it comes to sexual relationships. Do you really think kids listen to the abstinence speech.

Be sure you are registered to vote, Obama supporters. Talk means nothing if you don't vote.

Mrs. Palin wishes to reform my faith. No thank-you.

Anyone who demonstrates a desire to enact their faith into law is out of touch with the most fundamental of American values. The driving forces that defined this country.

    Separation of Church and State.
    Freedom of Religion.

Lets see how many times she can try to use her children for gain (deciding to keep son, Trig, after tests showed Down's….by the way why did she bother getting the test in the 1st place???….other son joining military on Sept 11th and heading to Iraq…..yet another not so subtle way of connecting the 2 in people's minds!!!!!) while hiding the failure of her own conservative philosophy to keep her unwed 16 year old daughter from having adult relations and of course having a baby.

Will she still say she said thanks but no thanks on the bridge to nowhere? That is really going to play well in the twin cities.

    Reform Palin Style:

Use your power as governor to fire government officials in order to settle family disputes.

Use whack-o radio talk show hosts to make crude and disparaging comments about your political rivals while you cackle in the background.

Claim the War in Iraq is an act of god.

Don't like the government? Join a separatist movement in your home state with the goal of starting a revolution to create your own republic.

    V.P. material? NOT.

I am sure her speech will be well written and well performed...she was a communications major after all, but who the heck cares what she has to say on reform! her views on a woman's right to choose and the environment are so scary, that anything else she says does not matter. The GOP thought a woman would seal the deal, well perhaps they should have picked one that most woman would agree with. A moose hunting ex-beauty queen may be an interesting story, but she does not represent me or most of the woman I know. Any woman that would vote for McCain because he picked Palin is not a voter I want in the Democratic party anyway.

The more I hear the more I see that whatever she says it is controlled by others. A true puppet. It is a very confusing pick. Contradictions on so many ends. Makes me wonder if McCain is afraid to have someone present an opposing view which Biden most certainly would. That and finding out she really isn't a reformer as you would think. Which I thought was the most compelling part. Disappointed with that part as it is quite the opposite. You say, am I scared if she and McCain win? Very much so.

McCain is a weak candidate and Palin will ensure McCain loses the election.
