Palin to highlight reform

Palin will speak Wednesday night.

Palin will speak Wednesday night.

(CNN) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republicans' vice presidential candidate, will highlight her record as a governor and mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, when she speaks to the Republican National Convention Wednesday night. She will also call for reform in Washington, a top aide to Palin told CNN.

Watch: Palin tours RNC stage

"She will speak as a governor, a former mayor and someone with both hands on the steering wheel of America's energy economy," Palin aide Tucker Eskew said. "She will detail her record of shaking up the status quo in Alaska and standing up to entrenched interests to put the government back on the side of the people. She will make the case for senator McCain as the only candidate who has fought for America and the best man to protect us in dangerous times."

Palin is slated to speak in the prime-time 10 p.m. ET hour.

heh-heh, reading the angry left commentary, i can't wait to vote for mccaine-palin. this cock-roach commentariat indulges the usual politics of personal destruction trotting out slime they read in kos and the tabloid trash organs of the far-left. i've observed them march in the streets of denver and minn-st, p. recently, and their m.o. is always the same: violence and shouting others down. in your face, anti-palin facists!

Why doesn't Palin ever seem to hold her baby? Why does she have that tiny baby out at the covention what seems to be all of the time? When my child was that young, I didn't even want him at the grocery store. Its all nuts.

She sounds like a female George Bush to me. Talks about reforming but engages in the same old feces while in office. Isn't her husband connected to the oil industry in Alaska? That all this country needs is another bought and paid for tool of Big Oil. Another reform measure, more tax breaks for the wealthy and an ever mounting national debt on the backs of future generations. Says McCain "I'll veto earmark legislation." Like that will last past the first year and all those Republicans looking for pork from the government wont do some arm twisting and howling about not getting their fair share. Why bother to watch this bunch. I didn't watch the Democrats either.

    Talk about earmarking!

Talk about the Alaska Independence Party!

Talk about your work in 527s!

Talk about only being a part-time mayor!

Talk about the flip-flop on the Bridge to Nowhere!

THATS REFORM YOU CAN BELIEVE IN?

  14. Sighing

    Should have picked Romney.

He would have taken Obama and Biden to task. Democrats are afraid of Romney because he can mop the floor with them.

Palin can barely give a speech someone else wrote for her. Democrats everywhere are sighing with relief.

Let's get this straight. She didn't have her brother-in-law fired. After many calls to the person who could fire him, and he didn't, she replaced the boss! In other words, it appears she may have fired her brother-in-law's boss for not doing as she asked. Said she wanted the division to go in a different direction.
Pure speculation of course...but there were those 20 phone calls from her office and she DID replace the boss.

Mc Cain's choice shows an incredible lack of good judgement. He only picked her because she is a woman. Also, republicans always spout how they are the party with true family values, but what does it say about this woman's judgement who puts her own political ambition ahead of a child she just gave birth to 3 months ago. He should never have picked her and she should remain governor and attend to her family issues.

McCain's VP pick is a sham and being manipulated by Bush cronies at the last second to hobble an acceptance speech together. Two weeks ago she didn't even know what the Vice President's job was!

Last I heard, "the speechwriters" had prepared a very "masculine" speech – expecting it would be delivered by Pawlenty or Romney. They now are tweaking it for Palin.

So, if nothing else, we'll learn something about Palin's acting ability when she reads a speech she had nothing to do with off a teleprompter.

    Gee . . . can't wait . . .
