Palin to highlight reform

Palin will speak Wednesday night.

Palin will speak Wednesday night.

(CNN) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republicans' vice presidential candidate, will highlight her record as a governor and mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, when she speaks to the Republican National Convention Wednesday night. She will also call for reform in Washington, a top aide to Palin told CNN.

Watch: Palin tours RNC stage

"She will speak as a governor, a former mayor and someone with both hands on the steering wheel of America's energy economy," Palin aide Tucker Eskew said. "She will detail her record of shaking up the status quo in Alaska and standing up to entrenched interests to put the government back on the side of the people. She will make the case for senator McCain as the only candidate who has fought for America and the best man to protect us in dangerous times."

Palin is slated to speak in the prime-time 10 p.m. ET hour.

Republican LEADERS defending Palin are showing WHY the American Body Politic rejected them, Fred
Thompson (good actor, reads lines great, should have stayed there), Rudy the Giuliani (saviour of New York City from terrorism!) to name but two of the group. The Republcan Fascist Party is progressing just as Hitler did in the beginning of the movement that came close to destroying civilization. Our country needs some clear eyed students of History to deflect this latest developing tyranny. Next step-Subvert the Constitution (being done as we speak!).

Cindy and Sarah, the perfect women for a cowardly bully who has temper tantrums and lies to the American people. He lied when he said the American people are excited about Sarah. What American people? We don't know Sarah, and neither does he. John talked to her for all of 15 minutes, and while I understand his heart couldn't take more than 15 minutes on the phone with a beauty queen who's (not his wife), our standards are different.

I want the media to take her through the wringer, because John doesn't know her. So somebody is going to have to be an adult.

Not that I'm keeping score, but Sarah was selected last Friday, 6 days later we are still talking about her, and not in a good way. I'd say Barack made the best choice and one that Americans can understand.

  10. WHAT SCANDAL?

I hope some camera person shows coverage from the rear of the podium. it may be the only time that Governor Palin's rear end will have the opportunity to be gleamed by the public in realtime before the media continues to take huge chunks out of it.

Fred Thompson called Gov. Palin a "Breath of Fresh Air"

What the hell does that have to do with her credentials!! We're NOT going to be smelling the woman. Jesus, what a bunch of LOSERS!!

Hailing this woman at the "GREAT WHITE HOPE"..... that's exactly RIGHT. If you looked at the crowd that's ALL you see are WHITE OLD faces.

WHERE is the diversity at the RNC? Their convention does NOT reflect this "melting pot of a country. Where is the faces of millions of immigrants who helped mold this country. Where are the NATIVE AMERICANS who were the TRUE AND FIRST AMERICANS of this nation!!

Where is John and Cindy McCain's African American adopted daughter?

Why isn't she front and center like their other Blond and Blue-Eyed children?

It's been reported that Sarah Palin's daughter's boyfriends stated he DID NOT WANT TO GET MARRIED, NOR BE A DADDY on his face book.

So someone please explain to me what Gov. Sarah Palin was quick to make the statement while campaigning that Bristol will be marrying her "baby's daddy" very soon. WHAT?

It's NOT ENOUGH that your TEENAGE DAUGHTER is pregnant, NOW SHE'S BEING FORCED TO GET MARRIED TOO? Geez, that's really putting "Family FIRST". What's wrong with this picture? WHY is there such a RUSH into marriage? Statistics have proven that teenage marriages DO NOT last. Bottom line.

Let's be very clear. Sen. Sarah Palin did NOT write her speech. McCain's speech writers WROTE her speech. Sarah Palin has NOT be able to do much of anything. The McCain camp has been kept her in her motel/hotel room, she's NOT allowed to speak to the media, she's NOT allowed to give any comments and she's NOT allowed to go anywhere without approval from the McCain camp.

So what does this mean? Gov. Sarah Palin is nothing but a Republican PUPPET being pulled and tugged by all those GOP Conservatives who are still living in the PAST, who still think that by "dangling this woman" in front of our noses would garner her more votes. NOT!!!

I'm sure she can deliver a speech fairly well, so they will be raving about her. (Celebrity, anyone?) I hope the journalists will do their job and report on her record. The McCain people have not answered a single question about her–they change the subject or talk about Obama.

Hey repugs, your man McCain blew it when he chose a small town hick as a running mate.
After all, one of Palin's credentials for the job that Thompson brought up last night was that she can field dress a moose – FIELD DRESS A FREAKIN' MOOSE!
    That's executive experience?
But wait, this is even better – A neocon repug spin doctor said Palin has "foreighn affairs experience" because Alaska is the closest US state to Russia. What the.?.?
Excuse me while I supress my gag reflex on that one...

The GOP knows exactly why Barack could not select Hillary. And like the vultures that they are, they select a beauty queen patsy because they think women are so stupid.

Well John, we're not as you think we are. You cheated on your first wife and left your three kids, you married a rich women to support your political ambitions, and now you want to pawn some hockey mom off as the next Colin Powell. I don't think so.

How about if she took one hand off the steering wheel once in a while and slapped her kid? So what if she can skin a moose? So could my aunt and she'd have been a TERRIBLE president.

Also the current government promised change but nobody expected at that time how bad the change will look like. Same way she will do it because a maverick will hardly achieve the neccessary reforms. It needs the support of the total party to get things done and moved into the right direction.

This woman is definitely a breath of fresh air and a female politician on the political forefront that so many of us relating to her can be proud of and look up to. Shame on the media for not focusing on the issues and instead showing the double standard they have set against her. Liberals are scared to death and it shows!

i have one question for those who say that gov palin is ready to be a heartbeat away from the presidentcy. if she has all this "excutive " experience then why have they hide her from the media and the country? she hasnt granted one single interview since mccsame brought her on the national scene. i guess they have been bringing her up to speed on issues that face our nation today ie the economy, the wars, iran, n. korea, russia , what to do in georgia, ...
