Convention to air Palin biography video

CNN

The RNC will air a video Thursday night highlighting Palin's biography.

(CNN) – A video highlighting Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin's biography and record as Alaska's governor is set to air at the party's convention Thursday night, senior McCain aides tell CNN.

The three-minute video was originally slated to air Wednesday night before Palin's speech at the convention but was postponed due to time constraints. McCain aides said the video makes a "compelling" case for why John McCain chose Palin as his running mate.

"Mother, moose hunter, maverick," the video's narrator states. “Mayor, governor, maverick. The original maverick made an astute choice when he asked Governor Palin to join him in his effort to remake Washington.

"Alaska, a far corner of America that accounts for 20 percent of our domestic oil, has produced a remarkable woman who's never been afraid to put her city, state, or country first - regardless of consequences," the narrator continues.

I could have sworn that since 96 or better the republiecans had been in control of the house and the senate. what the hell did they do then nothing. Since they have had Bush that bankrupted the company he worked for and now Sarah who bankrupted the town she was Mayor of !!! Not to mention I think her daughter is greatest vision of family values I've ever seen being in the family way and all.

Does Barack or Joe or even John McCain use the word father to qualify themselves to the American public?
This was, literally, the first qualifier the McCain campaign used for picking Sarah Palin, which would obviously bring the focus to this part of the candidate. They are again using it tonight to qualify her to the American people. I think the press was easily roped into this one. NO WHERE ELSE DO MEN USE THE FACT THAT THEY ARE FATHERS AS QUALIFIERS!

Not to mention, If you ppl ever listened to or read actual analysis, You'd know that the teleprompter never stopped going during applauses. So she no longer could rely on it and basically had to wing it for at least half the speech! Yet she still pulled off a great speech!

If Gov. Palin was running for cheerleader I would say her speech last night was definitely a home run. But running to be Vice-President to a man who has had three bouts with melanoma, I want to know her priorities. Why would she want to continue a war that was started under false pretenses and if she does continue it how will she pay for the war when she plans to cut taxes? What sort of Supreme Court justices will she want to nominate? How does she plan to bring health care to all of us? How will she make college affordable for the average family? Her family is lovely and compelling, but then, so is mine.

It truely amazes me how some of you write in these comments. Many of you that praise Obama are finding it to be quite the challenge to spell or phrase your thoughts correctly. I'm sure this has an enormous reflection on the education of such commentors. When you lack intelligence or are misinformed of the facts, the surfacing truth of such is evident to those of us who are! It is always better to keep your mouth shut and allow others to just think you are a fool than to speak your mind and remove all doubt! If you are interested in what's "Nuasiating", it's listening or reading from a buffet of fools. Pay attention America!! The truth is all around you!

When did democrats become a bunch of nasty spoiled brats? So much for hope and change. Reading this blog helps me to better understand the whackos breaking the law in the streets of St. Paul. You guys are the reason many of us are registered Independents.

Real change starts with a track record of results. Still waiting to see Obama's.

Why get bent out of shape. This Palin glow is going to be short lived. She has not been vetted, but will over the next couple of weeks. Once people really hear about her views she will be summarily rejected by the vast middle majority of Americans. Yes, she will solidify the right fringe fanatics, but she will not appeal to the middle at all. In other words, the repugs cannot win the white house, period.

Given the mood of the nation and the numbers on the democratic side, McCain needs to pull at least 3/4 of the independents to have a chance. Palin insures that he will not get even half. This is

    Game Over

Bold move by the repugs but it will not pay off in the end or let me say, this particular election cycle. Will have to revisit in 4 years.

All the dems were overjoyed with the pick of Biden, calling him an attack dog that would chew McCain and his VP pick to pieces. You under estimated Palin and got b****slapped. Don't take it personal. Plus there's probably a lot more coming.

I think the Dems have had too much Latte lately. They seem awfully tense. Maybe go back to the camomile tea?

And maybe question how Sarah Palin can have a big job and still be a mom at the same time. If she were a man none of the questions above would be tolerated. (Ask Hillary!)

"Alaska, a far corner of America that accounts for 20 percent of our domestic oil, has produced a remarkable woman who's never been afraid to put her city, state, or country first"

When has Obama ever put his country first, seems they just became proud Americans in just the last year or two.

Was that an Alaska state pin on her and her husbands lapel, it sure did not look like an American Flag pin.

Interesting that when someone comes out of the "woods" to comment on the establishment, the Demo's flood the media with comments on what a creep Palin appears to be...it only underscores how the media tries to control the politics in Washington and allow more government control over our lives...

The negative statements that have come out against Palin truly surprised me when this group [Demos] wants to elect an individual who would give this country away to alien interest...the reason for the critique...they are deathly afraid that now there is truly an American ticket and team on the platform running for this country instead of against it...

I lived in the great state of Alaska for years, and it was one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Hunting and fishing is a way of life up there, and very widely accepted. PETA people grow up! Why don't you focus on real issues pet abuse, abandonment, etc. Moose is hunted primarily for meat, just like beef here in the lower 48. If you've never had moose hamburgers, steaks or anything else, then you know nothing about it, so put a sock in it. Yeah, she bashed Obama, but after enduring days of criticism unduly doled out by the media idiots. She is a fresh face in Washington, not afraid of the Good Ol Boys, you know, the same ones contributing to Obama's campaign!

She puts city, state, and country first when she should have put her family first and never placed her pregnant 17 year old daughter under a worldwide microscope. Must be punishment for her underage, premarital sex.

Oh look! All the "PUMAs" have mysteriously transformed back into their Republican personas, just like werewolves under a full moon! They know if Palin gets elected, she'll have way more on-the-job experience than Hillary [who they never wanted in the first place]. Wow.

lies, lies and more lies. She is just a token woman giving a rehearsed speach. Even if she would speak about the real issues her believability is trash. It is all about getting the vote. I don't believe this phoney . If someone attacks her like she attacked Obama she will say "they"( whoever "they is )are picking on her, and try to make them look like bullies. I got news for everbody this is not a hockey game it is the future of the United States. Voting for McSame/Failin would not be just the same it would be a lot worse. I can just see the pitbull trying to talk to foreign leaders. This is truly scarey.
