Convention to air Palin biography video

The RNC will air a video Thursday night highlighting Palin's biography.

(CNN) - A video highlighting Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin's biography and record as Alaska's governor is set to air at the party's convention Thursday night, senior McCain aides tell CNN.

The three-minute video was originally slated to air Wednesday night before Palin's speech at the convention but was postponed due to time constraints. McCain aides said the video makes a "compelling" case for why John McCain chose Palin as his running mate.

"Mother, moose hunter, maverick," the video's narrator states. “Mayor, governor, maverick. The original maverick made an astute choice when he asked Governor Palin to join him in his effort to remake Washington.

"Alaska, a far corner of America that accounts for 20 percent of our domestic oil, has produced a remarkable woman who's never been afraid to put her city, state, or country first - regardless of consequences," the narrator continues.

    On Dems CNN Station–
Gail wants us to believe that 80% was against what Palin stood for–20% are with her-
even though it was 50%-50% among the commentators–
Talk about spin-Fox had it the other way–Maybe you were confused =
Like Biden last night in Fl–
Saying they ( Obama and Him ) were going to prosacute Bush for war crimes-When asked this morning –he didn't know what they were talking about until they aired his statement-
How this blog allows liars like some you to put statements on that are not true-
You fail to understand that they only allow the negative ones to show thru-
Election Day will be liberation day–
    Enough said

OH, and for those of you who believe she read the speech off a teleprompter all the time last'll be surprised to know that for much of that time, the teleprompter technician sped it up and didnt allow for all the pauses during the standing ovations. So Sara was speaking from her heart much of that time. Compare this to Obama who can't even recite a nursery rhime without the telepromoter being on target 100% of the time. If what the technician messed up on obama the way they did erroneously did for Sara last night, you better believe that tech would have been fired on the spot by obama himself! He's just an orator with a lot of hot air.

And here is something for all you morons claiming Palin's daughter is pregnant because her mother didn't teach her values...that is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Some of the worst people in history have had the best parents. Nowadays, you can tell kids all the right things, but they will ultimately make their own decisions. Her family is REAL, with real issues like alot of modern families. How many teen pregnancies are there in America each year? Look it up. I suppose all these parents were irresponsible too? Bullsh++. Some of the worst Alcoholics and Drug Addicts have great parents, so how do you explain that one??

Just more Republican kool aid . . .sure she fires up the base – the votes they already had. Palin's not going to play well with moderates and independents. Last night's speech was toxic (as were Romney's and Giuliani's). If she's all the GOP is saying she is, let her out solitary confinement and get her on the Sunday morning talk show circuit.

I think she sounded like a Miss America candidate when describing her family and background and not a VP candidate. I was not impressed by her ability to read a speech and not impressed with the speech writers at the RNC to continue to fail on delivering any substance on issues. The new McCain campain is just like the all the other RNC campaigns – "fear and smear". – Not Impressed In Georgia

BEFORE you cast your vote on November 4th, ask yourself this – Are you willing to take a 10% chance and vote for the McCain / Pallin ticket and yet Sarah is currently under investigation for abuse of power? What if Sarah is found guilty of her crimes after November 4th? It will be too late to recall your vote.

DDDDUUUUHHHH!!! There are no Republicans who actually watch CNN. Obviously this woman has hit a nerve with you all and the your agents in the media.

Palin seemed likable at first but the more I learn about her the more reservations I have. It seems like she attended a church with a pastor every bit as outrageous as Obama's former pastor. Has she denounced his extremist rhetoric? I don't think having someone who is going to push a religious fundamentalist agenda such as outlawing contraceptives and wedging discredited creationist propaganda into public schools helps sell the McCain ticket to moderates who otherwise might be considering him an acceptable choice.

I love Hillary and supported her fiercely, but there's a new girl in town and she's stolen my heart as well. Last night was enough – don't need the video.

Issues, schmissues – we need leadership! And Obama's non-accomplishments have never impressed me. Plus the Biden choice was simply dullsville – yawn – and didn't indicate much in the way of change!

    McCain/Palin 2008! Maverick X 2!

I am a Community Health Worker and I was upset by Sarah Palin remark about Barrack Obama experience as a Community Advocate, I feel this is one of the greatest Leadership and experience a person can possess because it shows where there heart is wanting to help and be a voice for those that can't help themselves. This is an insult and I didn't appreciate her mocking this position of leadership and great works.Shame on her, Shame on her, maybe she need to be more involved in Community Work starting with sex education and teen pregnancy.

Are we going to hear the lie about the bridge to nowhere again?

Pathetic. I cant wait to hear the debates. All the McPalin camp has done is feed lies to the weak! Biden is going to tear Palin apart on issues that are the real focus of voters, not lies!

A few concerns non-decided voters should know about Palin is:

    1. She believes God created the Iraq War(see her video speech).

    2. She believes no to abortion, even if your young daughter is raped!

    3. She doesnt believe in teaching kids the dangers and ways to prevent teen pregnancy at a young age.

    4. The Change/reform she believes in is her own self interest. if you disagree, you'll soon find out that she will replace you with someone who will do anything she says!

    5. She threatened a Librarian to take books off the shelf that some of her supporters didnt like or get fired.

    6. Remember the song "the back stabbers?" Some of the words go like this that describe Palin to a T. "They'll smile in your face, all the while, they want to take your place, the BackStabbers"

    7. And this one about Palins Wanna be experience. The town she left 20 months ago in Wasilla? She left with a 20 million dollar budget DEFICIT! 20 MLLION? are you kiding me? I thought Alaska received more $ per person from pork barrel spending, I thought Alaska was so rich. I thought running a small town of 6,000 was easy. I guess not. Well, if you cannot do the job with such a small town, how can you expect to run a country?

P.S. Biden received 72,000 votes for the 2008 dem primary. Thats way more than all the years Palin received as mayor combined.

If you want to know the numbers compared to Obama. Alaska has 650,000 people. Illinois has 12 Million. Obama received 18 million votes of confidence as well as the Millions he received being elected as a state legislature for 8 years and a sitting US senator for almost 4. There are also thousands of laws he voted on and led. Enough Said!

Sorry, I felt that Palin's speech was nothing but sarcastic and totally uninspiring. It was obviously written for her because with her limited knowledge on Washington and world affairs, she had no way of knowing half of what she talked about.

She does totally fit in with the Republican model of no solutions, just smear. Barack Obama makes her look like a child.

I am offended. The speech was dumbed down, loaded with catchy, short, meaningless phrases on a caliber of a high school senior. It insults the intelligence of the each American with an education and blessed with common sense. We need to show ourselves and the rest of the world that we are smart enough to vote for a future leader with vision, perception, knowledge of history and cultures, inspiration and charm to gain the respect of world leaders with whom he or she must work in the future. To appeal to "the average" and to feel and behave "average" should not be acceptable to the citizens of our country. Let us demand more from our leaders.

    Dear Gail (message #2)
This is nothing new. Take any story on the political ticker and the results are the same. If the elections were based solely on CNN observers, the elections would never be in question. But whether you like it or not, the reat of the nation would like to have a say in these matters as well.

  25. Clarence Palin

She reminds me of Clarence Thomas, he was nominated by the Bush Administration to appease the African Americans and now we have Sarah Palin nominated by the Bush/McCain Administration to appease the women in this Country. The republicans keep pushing historic change, but this woman doesn't have any record of standing up to women's rights and special children's rights except opposing legislation that supports these things. This woman would send women back to the dark ages with some of her extreme views. SImilarly Clarence Thomas who probably vote for servitude if it came before the supreme court. The really sad thing is that some people thought he would change once he was appointed, NOT, and I would be our economy that if this woman was elected, women's rights as we know them would end.
