Convention to air Palin biography video

The RNC will air a video Thursday night highlighting Palin's biography.

(CNN) - A video highlighting Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin's biography and record as Alaska's governor is set to air at the party's convention Thursday night, senior McCain aides tell CNN.

The three-minute video was originally slated to air Wednesday night before Palin's speech at the convention but was postponed due to time constraints. McCain aides said the video makes a "compelling" case for why John McCain chose Palin as his running mate.

"Mother, moose hunter, maverick," the video's narrator states. “Mayor, governor, maverick. The original maverick made an astute choice when he asked Governor Palin to join him in his effort to remake Washington.

"Alaska, a far corner of America that accounts for 20 percent of our domestic oil, has produced a remarkable woman who's never been afraid to put her city, state, or country first - regardless of consequences," the narrator continues.

Is that all you dems have got? Another Bush term? How about we also say we can't afford another Carter term with Obama. Is that the way you want to do it?

Latest Word: Rallying the base wouldn't win the election. The days of Carl and George's scare tactics are OVER.

Not interested to see more of the lies and poor judgement of this woman! talk about double standards! they peach values and ethics and being God fearing – what was she doing while her daughter was having unprotected sex? and how can she condone this? and she could become the president of the usa? wow! sad! n moraity! what a poor example! and she is supporting this when this guy has said on his facebook page that he "doesn't want kids"! he's just 18 – hasnt even lived his life and now they have probably forced him into marrying this 17 yr old!!!!!!!!!! and they will be divorced when? this is once more a clear indication of Mcshame's poor/lack of sound judgement – and his total disrespect for the highest office in the usa – to pick someone like palin – with so much baggage! Im sure that there will be lots more that will come out and then she will have no option than to step down!

Just what we need, a tramp, on top of evrything else she has going
against her. Keep it coming Sara. Want to borrow my shovel?

i remember when ABC had a debate and sen Obama looked bad because the moderator dared to question his answer and he could give no plausible answer. he did not do an interview for at least ten days. and as refused to debate since unless CNN or other networks play by his rules where he gets the questions i think he said two weeks ahead to prepare for it and you really ask why he won't do town hall debates

Wow, what a speech. This is going to be America's first woman president. someday. She's a female Teddy Roosevelt. Strong, smart and gutsy. If anyone can change this government, she can. She's a doier, not just a sayer. She's the real thing.

    Hey Alan,
Even your boy John is saying that we cannot afford another Bush term! Remember? He's "shaking up Washington"? "Throwing out old Washington"? Mr. Maverick??

Seriously, you know that's not all. How about Obama's tax cuts and closing loopholes in the tax laws to generate funding for poverty-to-progress programs? I thought you wanted your taxes cut? Now Obama's a bad guy because he wants to lower taxes? Huh??

I don't understand why the Repubs are complaining about this. Obama's plan calls for tax cuts for those making under $240K per year. Unless Fox News is wrong, that pretty much represents most of America.

But if you make more than that, Alan, well, I guess I understand why you wouldn't like that. You have my deepest sympathy.

Why can't all these Obama supporters understand one basic thing – Obama is trying to turn America into a socialist country. Now I don’t know if he brought it from Europe (ro Kenya?) More government is never good for anybody. I was appaled to hear him speak the other day and promise everything between the sun, moon and everything in between! Now that makes me really nervous. This guy needs to do a reality check. How's he going to deliver on all these? Where is the money?. Well, its all empty rhetoric to try and fool the gullible Americans – and by the looks of it, he seems to be succeeding. At leaset McCain talks sense whenever he speaks – he looks mature, honest and does not try and promise the moon.

Sarah Palin sounded very cruel last night.
Her picture with the moose, even the moose is
running away from - Scarrry !!!!!

Palin did not talk about economy how America is going
to come out of the deep hole, they are in. Any plans for
that or just interested in attacking Obama, who is so
smart and sensible. Being a woman I can that shame on
you Palin, I did not expect that attacking speech from you,
that shows your insecurity, be nice and look after your new born.

One month after the birthday that enfranchised me, I voted for JFK and LBJ. I have voted for a democratic candidate in each election since that time. I have viewed the democratic party to be the party of diversity and the party of the people. Obama is a bright, energetic, charismatic man with great oratorical skills, but his words are not supported by past actions and there is a grandiousity and arogance to his demeanor. He is reminisant of a wet behind the ears, forty something CEO whose only skill is to delegate and take credit for the contributions of "subordinates.(Please don't label this a racist comment.) I cannot vote for this man who is a media and computer generated persona whose rise to power is tied to the good old boys club and a documented voting record in Ilinois that would indicate someone with no convictions about anything except his own political future. Ater hearing Sarah Palin speak and being confronted with the strength of John McCain's character, I am on the edge of voting Republican. To paraphrase Bill Clinton, I would rather vote for someone with whom I agree with 50% of the time who has the skills to implement those things than for someone with whom I agree with 90% of the time, but is unable to implement any of the things that I support. At best. the options are not good.

perfect time for hillary to return as a hero and save obama from this crazy woman. it wiil be hard for obama to attack a woman after the democratic primaries. so why not a woman like hillary (way more experince than palin) go on the attack against palin and bring her down to size. And as a plus for hillary she can be seen as hero in the democratic party restoring her image in case obama does not win, and get people to denote to her campaign

It sure seems to me that OB fans must not work very hard for thier money. That must be why they don't mind giving it away in the form of taxes. How else can you exlpain the amount of remarks during a nomal days working hours?? Must be nice to remark about this kind of stuff all day. These OB supporters must be expecting welfare after they get fired from their job for not perfoming. Of course they would propably cry because they think making personal political opinions on someone elses dime is a "right". Not suprising I suppose. Get to work and vote in Nov.!!!

I heard Gov. Palin's speech last night was was a bit taken back by her lack of integrity when it came to telling the truth.

She spoke about having an infant with special needs and that she understands families with special needs children. I think she also said "I will be a Vice President who stands up for families with special needs.

What Gov. Palin FAILED TO TELL YOU IS... that as Governor of Alaska SHE CUT FUNDING for families with special needs.

SO do the math.... Gov. Palin is NOT as honorable and many of her women supporters THINK she is.

I like her. She's a very strong woman. I liked her speech last night. She provided background information on her family and what she has done as mayor and governor. Sure she took a few jabs at Obama, but they were rightly so considering the Obama campaign lashed out against her immediately after McCain picked her to be VP. They criticized her experiences. She sure straightened them out.
