CHICAGO, Illinois (CNN) - The Rev. Jesse Jackson has been hospitalized after complaining of stomach pains, a spokeswoman for Northwestern Memorial Hospital said Thursday.
Hospital representative Latoya Porter said Jackson admitted himself around 3 p.m. CT on Wednesday.
She did not have an update on his condition but said he was having tests Thursday morning.
Jackson, 66, a long-time civil rights activist, had been in Atlanta, Georgia, working on behalf of the presidential campaign of Sen. Barack Obama.

I had stomach pains after I heard Palin's speech too. God help us all if this gets in power. John McCain isn't going to around that long, but
the way Palin is poping those babies out she'll be around a long time,
and ruin the country as Bush did.

I developed stomach pains shortly after hearing Sarah Palin's speech at the RNC last night. It could be gas, but I took no chances and checked myself into the hospital for routine tests. I ask that the press and media please respect the privacy of my family at this trying time.

i am ticked that soledad keeps pushing on apparent hypocrisy of palin by putting the boyfriend in the pictures and yet wanting privacy; as somene else said palin would hve been in trouble if they excluded the boy friend and/or bristol. Soledad, you are off base.
