CHICAGO, Illinois (CNN) - The Rev. Jesse Jackson has been hospitalized after complaining of stomach pains, a spokeswoman for Northwestern Memorial Hospital said Thursday.
Hospital representative Latoya Porter said Jackson admitted himself around 3 p.m. CT on Wednesday.
She did not have an update on his condition but said he was having tests Thursday morning.
Jackson, 66, a long-time civil rights activist, had been in Atlanta, Georgia, working on behalf of the presidential campaign of Sen. Barack Obama.
By the way of the holy spirit, according to the word of God and he send his word to heal this is my prayer for the Rev. Jackson, may God bless he and his family.
Mrs. Palin has 5 children when she goes running around town who will see about the children, thats why her daughter is having a baby out of wedlock. Biblical women are to stay in the home and train up the children. She needs not bad mouth Senator Oboma, Jelousey is all over her, Senator Oboma is BLESS.
Jesus! Could some of you haters please tone it down for one minute and keep your bile to yourselves? Jesse isn't a perfect individual, and you don't have to heap praise on the man, but to actually wish death on him, and your lame, snide little remarks reveals more about you than it hurts him. Your God is watching; do you think He is amused?
I was shocked at Sarah Palin's condescending attitude, she was totally unladylike in her behavior.I my opinion she does not represent the
values most women in this country. I question her family values, her
son is a high school drop out, her daughter is dating a man who is
openly a red neck. as a matter of fact on his facebook page. we
deserve better than that in the white house.
I blame his sickness on the white majority.
God be with him...
Obama/Biden '08
who gives a big rats petui
God don't like ugly. Maybe you shouldn't go against Obama, because you will never accomplish what Obama has. Who is missing their baseballs now!
Poeple this no time to push your own agenda Rev Jackson GET WELL SOON this country is more the better with you around.
Poor Jessie, he was in Atlanta helping Nobama's campaign, no wonder he developed a tummy ache, who wouldn't...
Prayers to Jesse Jackson.
Get Well Soon Reverend Jackson. Our prayers are with you.
AND HOW IS THIS NEWS......WOW MY STOMACH HURTS ARE YOU GOING TO POST IT ON THE NET.........FOR CHRIST SAKE IT'S A STOMACH ACHE!!!!
Get well soon Jesse! And please, no political attacks here...
Look, Jesse, you've got to get better so you'll be strong and healthy on January 20 next year to see the fruition of all those years of the struggles. God bless and keep you.
As a white woman, and a life long democrat, who has seen the good that Rev. Jackson has tried to bring into this world, I wish him and his family all the best.
Like many others, I don't always agree with Jesse Jackson. But enough of that. As human beings we should always extend our best wishes to our fellow human beings who are ill and/or in pain. And we better be sincere about it too. Our words of solidarity should not be empty, ot they wouldn't mean anything.
Get well soon, Reverend, so we can disagree some more
Keep Hope Alive. Get well Jesse!
KA, we DON'T care about you (sorry) but I'm sure that we all hope that this stomach ache will disappear quickly. The sooner, the better.
One of the Biggest Black Leader of today thinks Obama won't make good President! Why do Blacks in this Country hate anyone that know's what good for thier people?? McCain and Palin will win!!
Although he is not my favorite person. I have many issues with him as his preceived role of being the spokes person for black people. I do however wish him a very speedy recovery and will keep him in my prayers.
My PRAYERS r with u. (Yup, democrats do pray).
I'd have to agree with Election Watcher. It wouldn't be in good taste for anyone to let politics insight insults on those who aren't well. This shouldn't be on the ticker.
He makes me sick to the stomach also!
To those who say: "he has stomach pains, so what".
He wouldn't be hospitalised if he there wasn't real concern about his health. Ulcers, cancers et cetera are far too common (and deadly) not to worry about them.
Let's hope Jesse Jackson, a hero to so many people, and a champion on their behalf, will be with us for a long time to come.
I agree with Jackson, Obama needs to grow some balls.
