Palin is the final nail in Oblah blah blah-ma's coffin. You lefty fruit loops are in complete denial now. Pat Who? Is he still alive? I'd seriously like to know how people like Boone can be satisfied with the mess the Republicans have made of our country. Do they care about the abuse of power and the complete trashing of our U.S. Constitution? The President didn't violate the Constitution, ignore constitutional judicial review of searches and seizures, out a covert CIA agent (possibly resulting in deaths and loss of national security) alone. He had a Republican Congress and Senate that allowed 7 years of disregard for the law of the land without any accountability whatsoever. I'm not heaping praise on the Democrats who should have been marching in the streets and educating the public as to what these people have been doing. Shame on them. And you know what? Shame on us for allowing ourselves to be manipulated with fear and hatred.

I don't care what Republicans try to say about Palin – she and her husband ARE NOT GOOD PARENTS, to have a 17 year old pregnant daughter is a lack of parenting and a lack of communication in MY BOOK. When my kids were 17 years old and seniors in high school, they were writing essays for college applications and enjoying their last year in high school – not buying baby clothes; that is what adults do. Palin is not a good example for America – she says her family is like every American Family – I resent that statement, I am proud to say that her family is not like mine.

Pat Boone has to be at least as old as John McCain. And he is just as outdated.I know that the Republican's would like to turn the clock back to the 1940's, maybe the early 1950's, but since I really don't see that happening,and I DO see their Moral and Ethical leadership being severely compromised(look at their veep choice and her trashy Spears type family) I just don't see them having a leg to stand on anymore. Either move ahead or get out of the way!

If you ask me, Pat Boone is the big zero. A rival of Elvis Presley in the 60's, he presented himself as a squeaky clean ideal husband and father. Then we learned that he had cheated on his wife. She has no business being the VP pick of a 72 year old nominee but the republicans want to be excited about something and they found it ,countering the excitement of the dems. I find all the rhetoric so depressing. The politicos may find this fun and red meat. I find it demeaning and ignoring the really serious issues our country has.

But Pat Boone is a good symbol. And, yes, he was a giggle in the 50's when there were music giants like Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Buddy Holly and Elvis. And that was CHANGE.

Family, off limits, but I can't help but think what would be said if the Obamas had a similar soap opera going on in their lives.

Obama, Biden and the Clinton's are so full of BS it's not even funny! Biden looks like he's had a little too much of the bottle. I guess that was funded by the dems as well. Why is almost every "celebrity" who come out spewing criticisms of Obama a really old white guy? They seem to lead with that and the support of McCain is only secondary.

No real substance, simply attack, divide, and try to conquer.

Why is noone asking Palin hard questions and demanding answers? OH, she's a woman, and the mean ole media can't pick on her. It's all a faux media conspiracy to tear her down.

How about a legitimate effort to question and get to the root of the rumors and allegations to see if this is someone with enough experience, character and qualifications to be one step away from the Presidency? The public vetted Obama ... we never had the chance with Gov. Palin, and had she run, she's have been luck to pull out of the asterisks in the polls.

It was interesting to note that Obama voted "PRESENT" over 130 times since becoming a senator. He didn't vote YES or NO, he voted "PRESENT". Pat: I grew up listening to your music and have to admit I really loved it. However, being from the same generation I would think you would realize that the "times they are a changing" and the world is a much different place than the world we knew when we were in our 20's and 30's. The country is in desparate need of real change and McCain/Palin do not offer it. I have always tried to look and the issues and the candidates and my gut tells me that the only way we can achieve the changes we need so badly is to elect Barack Obama President. I heard nothing from last night's speech but derogatory remarks, insults and slander. Not one mention of what she and McCain would do to revitalize this economy, end this shameful war and harness the great potential that is America. The Republicans have had their chance - it's time for something new!
