From

ST. PAUL, Minnesota (CNN) - Former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham and Cindy McCain will all have significant roles in the lead up to Sen. John McCain’s speech Thursday evening when he will formally accept the Republican presidential nomination.

Graham is one of McCain’s closest friends in the Senate, while Ridge was said to be on the Arizona senator’s short list of vice presidential prospects.

I've got to hand it to the republicans.
There excellent at playing to our core fears and emotions. hillary lost the nomination upsetting many women. they smartly siezed on this and found a small town mom that pepole empthise with. it does not matter what experince that she has, she will draw pepole beacuse she is on thier level. that this is so obvious and has not gotten mentioned often makes me feel that we deserve them if they are elected. becuse it looks to me like we are stupid sheep.

ANY OF US WHO TRULY SUPPORT OBAMA SHOULD BE SPECIFIC ABOUT THE DISTORTIONS MADE BY THE OPPOSTION.

Those guys want to be ambiguous with their claims. We cannot afford such a luxury.

The Democratic response or anything that we claim must be rooted in truth and reason. This is following this example of our candidate and the next president of THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA Barack Obama. (GOD, I love saying that)

I know the GOP has nothing but lies and fear tactics, but we must come with the truth and hope.

YellowDog   September 4th, 2008 12:48 pm ET

I'm posting here as most other comment sections were closed. Too many comments?

Anyway, I agree with JA Cook. I listened to Giuliani on my car radio while driving home and could barely believe the level of sarcasm and sheer nastiness! Just shows that the GPO has nothing really to say.

Palin certainly proved she is more than "Caribou Barbie." Of course, I don't agree with most of her statements, and many of them were patently untrue – even about her own record. For example, she pushed vigorously (via lobbyists) for earmarks both for Wasilla and the state of Alaska. She only stopped supporting the Ketchikan airport bridge AFTER it was nationally ridiculed as the "bridge to nowhere." So I guess she was for it before she was against it. Where have we hear THAT before? 4 years ago, maybe?

As a woman, I am disgusted by the constant deflection of legitimate scrutiny by the claims of "sexism." I guess then that every attack on Obama should be decried as "racism."

OBAMA MANIA   September 4th, 2008 12:29 pm ET

I AM A 51 YEAR OLD WOMAN WITH 3 YOUNG CHILDREN. ONE WITH ADHD AND ONE KIDNEY. I OWN MY OWN BUSINESS AND I JUGGLE HOME AND BUSINESS 24/7. THAT DOES NOT GIVE ME THE QUALIFICATION TO RUN A COUNTRY. I AM SICK OF EVERY ONE SAYING GOV. PALIN IS A MOM AND A GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL. MY COMPANY HAS MORE EMPLOYEES THEN THE WHOLE STATE POPULATION OF ALASKA. THIS DOES NOT QUALIFY HER TO RUN A COUNTRY. THIS IS VERY SCARY THAT PEOPLE ARE BEING BRAINWASHED BY THIS WOMAN. HOW IS SHE GOING TO HELP OUR COUNTRY RE-GAIN ITS INDEPENDENCE? HOW WILL SHE CONTRIBUTE TO OUR NATIONAL SECURITY? WHAT IS HER PLAN FOR HEALTH CARE? I DON'T GIVE A CRAP WHAT KIND OF MOTHER SHE IS, THERE ARE A LOT OF GOOD MOTHERS IN THIS WORLD. WHAT WILL SHE DO FOR OUR COUNTRY? THIS IS WHY OBAMA GETS MY VOTE BECAUSE HE IS BREAKING DOWN WHAT HE WILL DO TO CHANGE OUR COUNTRY AND RESTORE OUR INDEPENDENCE. THE MCSAME/PALIN TICKET IS A JOKE TO ME. JOHN MCCAIN BEING A POW 40 YEARS AGO DOES NOT GIVE HIM THE QUALIFICATIONS TO RUN A COUNTRY EITHER. THERE IS NEVER ANY SUBSTANCE TO ANY OF THEIR SPEECHES. I AM TIRED OF HEARING AND LISTENING TO MCCAIN AND NOW THE PALIN PERSON. I WILL BE SO GLAD WHEN OBAMA IS NAMED OUR PRESIDENT AND MCCAIN AND PALIN SLIDE BACK INTO THE WALL.

BARACK OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT FOR THE NEXT 8 YEARS!!!!

Tina, MD   September 4th, 2008 12:29 pm ET

Boy, is this shaping up to be another Bush Administration. We've had girls gone wild in the white house with Jenna and Barbara Bush, now we'll have a knocked up teenager in the VP's house. Great.

Will some one call up Senator Obama and ask him not to do the O'Reilly Factor interview. I suspect he is going to be set up for Fox News.

Breck   September 4th, 2008 12:28 pm ET

Sarah Palin would quite possibly be the worst VP ever. She believes in censorship if the book in question offends her religion, she believe the Iraq War is a mission from God, she believes drilling is the solution to our problems, she likes chasing animals from a helicopter until they collapse before killing them, she misuses her power for personal reasons, and she is just another extreme rightist.

Those saying Obama has done nothing are lying, he has worked with A REPUBLICAN to stop nuclear weapons from entering the hands of terrorists, he was on the Illinois State Senate for 7 years, he has voted for and sponsored several bills, Republicans are just trying to delude you. Furthermore, the greatest Republican President in history, Abraham Lincoln, was as inexperienced as Obama with no notable accomplishments other than opposing the Mexican War.

Don't vote for lies. Don't vote for hypocrisy. Don't vote for religious extremism. Don't vote for more wars. Don't vote Republican!

Laura, IL   September 4th, 2008 12:28 pm ET

John is accustomed to being around weak women, and Palin is no different. His wife is a trophy, with money, and his running mate is a cheerleader with a knocked up daughter. Shows you what John thinks about women.

All he had to do was dress Lieberman in a skirt, and he would have had his first choice.

It won't work.

susan k   September 4th, 2008 12:27 pm ET

I was so displeased with the Sara speech that I just turn the TV off. For someone who doesn't have enough expereince herself, she has a lot nerve to put Obama down. Obama cares about people and the work that he did that may not have earn him a lot money DOES COUNT. I am ashmed of the Republican party.

Palin is another empty suit   September 4th, 2008 12:27 pm ET

I have a child with Down Syndrome and can tell you I am NOT impressed by Palin. Every year I fight with the school district for basic services because a GOP run governement does not deliever on federal funding PROMISED to all schools in the IDEA ACT.

Palin did nothing more than looked into the camera and LIED last night while trying to be a comedian. The worst of it? Putting her family and special needs child on display to pander to the world.

This woman is disgusting and is the full embodiment of the GOP! The chanting and laughter last night shows how truly the GOP is out of touch with the direction of our country. PLEASE, vote with your heads, vote for your children, vote for OBAMA!!!!

Mary Smith   September 4th, 2008 12:27 pm ET

I wish a hurricane would shut this convention down and blow these people into space. They are the most evil, lying, distorting, sarcastic, hypocritical, entitled scums who should never get tv air time. You watch, payback is a *itch.

Guliani is so vile, his own children can't stand him, so much for family values!

Sarah Palin's daughter is having sex and getting pregnant at 17, Family values! How can she morally lead America with so much failure in her family life? I don't care what anyone says, a pregnant 17 year old is a failure of family values. Republicans need to wake up and own their failures NOW!

Stella   September 4th, 2008 12:27 pm ET

Is this the last day of the Republican Ku Klux Klan rally (oops I mean Republican National Convention)? Gee I hope so. This divisiveness is not good for America.

Michelle, PA   September 4th, 2008 12:26 pm ET

Let's see, Palin and McCain whine about the "sexist" media, but distribute buttons to their male delegates calling Palin the "Hot Chick". And did anybody else see the clip of McCain staring at Palin's chest while she was speaking last Thursday in Ohio? I think Leno even ran it. Sexism, indeed!

Now this lineup of has-beens (duct tape and plastic wrap, anyone?) will be on to sling more mud, repeat more lies and spin, spin, spin.

Anything to distract attention from the fact the Republicans have NO PLAN, NO IDEAS and NO CLUE.

DNC does not need Hillary. One man, one woman, can touch us, but We, the People of the United States, need to save ourselves, by voting for Obama.

We, the People of the United States, need to figure out what is really important for us.

Do we want to CLING to a typewriter from McCain and Palin? Or do we want to join force with Obama and use iPod, laptop and the Internet. Obama is backed by the Clintons who gave us the Internet Age.

It is not Hillary. It is not Obama. It is US. A leader is needed to unite us, but it is US, that will need to vote.

We empowered Bush for eight years. We, the People of the Unted STates, need to empower the next leader to move America forward?

We have two choices: The typewriter generation or the iPod generation.

It's not that hard.

PALIN: "I have protected the taxpayers by vetoing wasteful spending ... and championed reform to end the abuses of earmark spending by Congress. I told the Congress 'thanks but no thanks' for that Bridge to Nowhere."

THE FACTS: As mayor of Wasilla, Palin hired a lobbyist and traveled to Washington annually to support earmarks for the town totaling $27 million. In her two years as governor, Alaska has requested nearly $750 million in special federal spending, by far the largest per-capita request in the nation. While Palin notes she rejected plans to build a $398 million bridge from Ketchikan to an island with 50 residents and an airport, that opposition came only after the plan was ridiculed nationally as a "bridge to nowhere."

David   September 4th, 2008 11:39 am ET

Mrs McCain had a $300,000 outfit on tuesday night and I wonder how much she is going to add on it tonight. It is ironic that they accuse the Obama's as 'elitist'.
What a shame!

Republican making a run for it!!!   September 4th, 2008 11:39 am ET

All they are talking about now is her executive decisions, but they will not say what the executive decisions were and John McCain has only made one executive decision that we know of and that was cheating on his wife with Cindy and deciding to leave her when she was in a pickle after all she did for him. What a lame!!! The dems ticket looks way better in character compared to our ticket. I can not take it anymore I'm voting for Barack Obama and Joe Biden and I know they will do what it takes to get America back to the place where she belongs.

Isn't it weird that Ron Paul's convention is just as big as the entire GOP's?

R.I.F.   September 4th, 2008 11:36 am ET

So the theme of this whole convention is "Service" yet last night we see Rudy and Palin mock and laugh because Obama was a community organizer 20 years ago. I guess the only service in their eyes is fighing in a war. That is a very very bad thing to say and bad way to think. Community organizer may not have a flashy title but these are people who actually roll up their sleeves to help get things done for disadgvantaged people in struggling communites. Dr. King was a community organizer. While Rudy was holding press conferences and getting phot ops during 9/11 it was community organizers who were helping around the clock. I guess these people are funny too? That is a very eliest, out of touch way t think in that someone who graduated from Harvard Law spent his first few years serving the pulbic for little to no pay inseatd of taking a hotshot job on Wall Street.

Are you serious   September 4th, 2008 11:36 am ET

Let's let Palin and Michelle Debate. I will put my retirement on Michelle to win that one. Michelle has more executive experience than she does.

I just learned something about McCain.

If you disagree with him do not try to communicate it to him. His website does not accept your email. You receive an "ERROR" message and a suggestion to "try again later" and to make certain to enter www. before the web address all with a picture of John McCain, Cindy McCain and Sarah Palin. Like you are on the wrong screen right!

What can McCain say tonight to make me feel better about him. While, how about why he picked someone for VP who is well qualified to deal with a herd of moose ramaging down Pennsylvania Blvd at 3:00AM and little else?

Scott Tucson   September 4th, 2008 11:34 am ET

Gary of El Centro, Ca   September 4th, 2008 11:34 am ET

Whatever they say tonight, it won't be issue oriented. The most telling line of the convention so far was from the other night; "This election is not about issues"......end quote. We heard nothing but sarcastic remarks and bad jokes from the VP nominee and I don't expect we will hear much more than that from McCain tonight. Sad......

Ray Mayer   September 4th, 2008 11:25 am ET

WOW ! Lots of sour grapes out there. They didn't know that Sarah was this tenacious. Just wait until she gets going "on the JOB." No training needed here. She's the perfect help-mate for John. Don't sell her short on her knowledge either. I'll bet we are in for a great four years. This just goes to show you that we Americans have some pretty amazing WOMEN. The early settlers knew this. How do you think the West was won, the South able to withstand the War, the North& East were able to industrialize and prosper? THE WOMEN. We are the Backbone of this country. We are there WITH the Men not behind them BUT BESIDE and infront of them! Women can lead the way too. We have the intelligence, strength, and intestinal fortitude to do what ever is necessary to accomplish the tasks and not neglect our responsibilities while doing so. In other words, we can multi-task. It's time Americans got back to their ROOTS and had sincere honest representation in government. Not self-serving talking heads. GO JOHN/SARAH '08
THINK MY FELLOW AMERICANS, WE NEED CHANGE BUT CHANGE WE CAN LIVE WITH, NOT DIE WITH. WE NEED EXPERIENCED PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH ALL THAT'S NECESSARY IN GOVERNMENT THE YEARS AHEAD. IT'S NOT ONLY OUR FUTURE, BUT THAT OF OUR CHILDREN. THINK then GO VOTE

I think Senator Obama is making a big mistake to appear on the O'reilly Factor or any Fox News shows.

David E. Cowen   September 4th, 2008 11:18 am ET

After hearing all the calls for "Change" last night, I realized that I misread all the history books. According to the speeches, it is the Democrats who have been in the White House since 2001 and who had control of Congress from 1994 until just 20 months ago. Sorry, I didn't realize that we needed to kick them out of office. Well, shame on them for doing such a lousy job running the country all of these years where we need "Change" from their policies.

Also, I guess it goes with the comments that community service is wrong. I thought the "faith based" programs of the Bush administration were all about public service.

I can hardly wait to hear one more time about McCain's tour as a POW and how it makes him more patriotic than all the Democrats who served in the military as well - Country First after all. And since the Dems have really been running things, the people who made this economy and political situation what it is today weren't putting "Country First." I just didn't realize it was the Democrats.

Man, how did we get the current history of this country so wrong?

John McCain campaign may have shot themselves in the foot by tapping Sarah Palin as VP.They should have look at the possibilities of Kay Bailey Hutchinson or Olympia Snow, both very intelligent and knowledge of how Washington DC works would have been less of head ach. It appears Sarah is loaded with excess baggage.

a Maverick?! says whom?   September 4th, 2008 11:14 am ET

A high school friend of mine had an old Maverick. It had lots of miles and was pretty run down. It didn’t always start in the winter, and it overheated pretty easily if you drove it to far. On the highway it generally pulled to the right, but it could change direction in an instant – almost so fast you couldn’t remember the original direction.

Of course it used a ton of gas, burnt oil and created clouds of smoke. But every time my buddy got pulled over, he’d tell the cops the car had been towed and spent a long time in the pound. For some reason, that excuse seemed to work all the time…

Don't buy it, America! Ohio! Virginia! Michigan! North Carolina! Florida! Pennsylvania! Reject the fearful, divisive politics of the past 8 years that we saw on display last night! We just can't afford another 4 years of neglectful republican rule. And that's exactly what we'll get under McCain/Palin!

Be courageous! Stand for change like millions of other hard working, blue collar Americans!

The republicans are very excited to have a new younger face on the scene and let them enjoy this time. Unfortunately, Palin has not been fully "vetted". What until some more details come out about her current investigations and her "strong arm" policies. She also made a "huge" mistake last night by "disrespecting" community organizers !!

I think that Governor Palin is a brilliant pick for McCain's VP. All attacks to her will directly ricochet to Obama. If she is too inexperienced to be VP, why can Obama be president? Remember that Obama has less governing experience than her and is running for president, not VP. This is a brilliant strategy. The attack on her family and capability will only reveal how arrogant, hypocritical, and sexual discriminating her opponents are.

Charlotte   September 4th, 2008 10:51 am ET

These blogs are telling. Sarah has hit them where they live. She was attacked relentlessly on her qualifications. She fights back and she is shrill? Suddenly, Hillary is the best qualified woman in America. Suddenly, we Hillary supporters are so smart and well informed? I am amazed at the 'fear of defeat' I detect in the comments. Sarah was as aggressive as any VP has ever been. Obama only compares McCain to another Bush term. When is he going to explain how taxing business is going to help? Companies have fled this country due to taxes. I want to hear how his estate tax will effect me? Increased payroll taxes, how will they effect me? Increased Social Security taxes, how will they effect me? How will all of his give aways be paid for? Experience has taught me that anytime the government gives me something, they end up taking more then they give back.

LS   September 4th, 2008 10:50 am ET

Thank goodness this is the last night of their convention. Running out of old movies to watch instead.

From what I've seen on CNN website and reading the bloggers comments, their is no comparison to the DNC Convention. It would be nice to watch the DNC Convention all over again. Any chance for a replay CNN?

I know people are going to make the right decision after watching the RNC in action. Positive – DNC always overpowers the negative-RNC.

We don't need negativity in power right now. A lot of people are struggling to keep positive considering what they are facing with in the economy. Obama and Biden are going to be ready to rollup their sleeves and work hard and in the best interest for the American people.

RDS   September 4th, 2008 10:50 am ET

I guess it's going to be another Family Guy night...LOL. I'm glad the republicans are finally feeling the hope wave. Too bad only people that were going to vote for him anyways are the only ones feeling it. Enthusiasm from people who were going to vote for you anyways doesn't win elections if you turn off everybody else...

John in Ohio   September 4th, 2008 10:50 am ET

Which Mrs McCain?

Oh, the new one.

Palin casts herself as a pit bull... I thought a pit bull was an angry vicious dog that you don't leave alone around children and don't let out without a muzzle. Maybe she meant that she can be trained to blindly attack without thought or reason or regard to her target?

Dana from Chi   September 4th, 2008 10:49 am ET

This will be a joke. I guess Mccain will have a couple of hundred more people at the convention tonite. He only had 20 thousands last nite and 6 thousands the nite before!! They were so ignorant, hateful and cynical, I will not be giving them ratings!!

MsAnnette , AR   September 4th, 2008 10:49 am ET

Let me tell Sarah Palin about COMMINITY ORGANIZERS. They are the people who have "responsibilites" to the citizens who are suffering the most to gain basic rights, job training to improve thier lives and their families. This is done FROM THE GROUND UP...not from the top down.

If it was not for COMMUNITY ORGINIZER SUSAN B. ANTHONY, palin could not be where she is today.

If it was not for COMMUNITY ORGANIZER MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR., millions of Americans would not have to rights guarnteed by the costituion to be treated fairly and equally, regardless of age, sex, race or religion.

If it was not for COMMUNITY ORGANIZER BARAK OBAMA, thousands of citzens from the South Side of Chicago would have DIED from asbestos contamination in thier apartments, would have no job training and no hope for their futures after the steel plants closed and families and communities devastated.

I applaud the many people who unselfishly work to improve the lives of thers and most of the time without recognition. I am one of those people.

Sarah Palin, the gop puppet, has shown her arrogance and vulgar disrespcet for the spirit of community involvement in American History.

I won't be watching any more of this Republican nonsense, they have become a very mean and nasty party of only white ultra conservative people. We are a very diverse nation, I only saw one token african-american and no latinos or people different from them, what gives with this party, what are they afraid of?
As for Cindy, she may be a very nice lady but has nothing of importance to convey to me.

Rodham Democrat   September 4th, 2008 10:49 am ET

I wonder how Gov. Ridge feels about Sen. McCain not having the back bone to stand up to his party and put someone he actually wanted on the ticket instead of someone he was cornered into putting on the ticket

Wes, NJ   September 4th, 2008 10:49 am ET

There was absolutely no substance in any of these speeches. At least Palin was entertaining as she basically became the buffoon of conservatives. She seemed to belong more in a WWE arena than a political one. However, she was at least entertaining unlike Gulianni who was just vile and repugnant. I seriously hope he never steps foot into NYC, because we will most likely spit on his face. He's been using our wounded memories for his political gains by blaming just about everyone else for the chaos when in fact he was in charge of the city when we were attacked.

No one can deny the atmosphere in this convention is made up of a combination of negativity, secrecy, desperation and a sense of defeat. They seem to think that their message of change will transcend beyond the Excel Energy Arena, but if you compare the hatred being spewed on the podium to the scare tactics used 4 years ago you will not be able to deny that this people won't bring change because their mentality hasn't changed. It's the same rhetoric all over again.

The American people are in a different place today than 4 years ago. They want to be inspired by the our possibilities and not scared by out limitations. BTW, the only reason some are comparing Obama's experience to Palin's is because they're basically the ones on the ticket who are supposed to be new comers outside from Washington.

Also, do you people realise the chances John McCain has of becoming seriously ill or diseased within the next few years? The poor man has been diagnosed with cancer more than 3 times. There's a great possibility that this woman could take the main slot, and anyone willing to take that chance is either insane or simply senile like McCain. The fact that she stated that our soldiers were sent by God to Iraq really reveals how closed to Bush's mentality she is. How can any real christian bring God's name into a War discussion? Really, how can you justify the killing of innocent human life with God... The republican party is self-deteriorating and it is about time.

I can see through the Smoke   September 4th, 2008 10:49 am ET

These guys are the worst America has seen in a long time (read your history)... The Republican party is a "joke." Merely something for entertainment... Leave the thinking and problem solving to the Democratic Party... The educated people...

Sarah Painlin – oops – I mean, Pailin is a disgrace to the idea that political parties offer up their best candidates for office. I thought Dick Chaney was a poor choice, until I saw her. I'm a former award-winning political reporter and what I saw and heard was a woman on a fast track, trying to be all things to all people; gun-toting,anti free-choice,but lipstick beauty queen & Mommy. C;mon. I was a 5 a.m. hockey Mom,, but I know the difference between a charade (act out a politician) and a tested, experienced leader. City Council and Governor do not a USA/world leader make. I wish Hillary could debate her. That would be the end to her credibility and credentials. I hope the truth about her style of governing (troopergate) surfaces – and soon....

Pam   September 4th, 2008 10:48 am ET

Do they allow anyone but white people into the republican convention?

Lone Star Wolf   September 4th, 2008 10:48 am ET

Keep up the pressure Ridge, Graham and Mrs. McCain the Democrats are squealing like the little bitty pigs they are. Anyone who won't fight for the freedom of American and people under tyranny need to leave this country. No morals, no religious beliefs and ones who want to give the terrorist all the breaks are not true Americans.Besides most of them don't even call themselves plain old Americans they have to be something else. We don't need this.

That speech was a disgrace. And wolf, for you to say she hit it out of the park was insulting. First of all she did nothing, her speech was written by Bush's speech writers. Second, she offered no answers or solutions only attacks. Wolf, you are so typical, scared of the right winged religious group. How lame.

I guess beauty contest winners don't really understand what community organizers do. Do you suppose she knows what Habitat for Humanity is?

Johnny got a pitbull with lipstick, but with a questionable past. She is tough, she can read from a teleprompter, etc. – but Americans need more than sarcasm and snide remarks.

Not a single speaker last night had a solution to help America – just the same old tear the other guy apart. McCain speaks tonight and we know what his plans are – he voted with Bush over 90% of the time.

I have donated to Obama and will do so again today.

Cindy McCain will talk about her husband and their family (making sure to ingore McCain's previous marriage and their affair).

After the constant play-by-play of the same OLD and TIRED attacks from EVERYONE at the RNC, my stomach can't take any more.

ENOUGH already.

Ann Holt   September 4th, 2008 10:39 am ET

I totally agree!! I can't wait as this unvails itself. The Media held Obama's feet to the fire. I surly hope Palin is exposed as well. I'm tired of this female, racist stuff. If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen, that should be man, woman, or child. The whole point of media is to inform the public honestly, disregarding any bias. CNN has always fully followed that tradition-I hope this female stuff does not intimidate the honesty and excellence of realistic reporting.

More of the same nasty attacks is my guess.

Tjstelten   September 4th, 2008 10:39 am ET

have one thing to say, the GOP convention showed itself as an exclusive, separatist organization. There was not one thing reflective of the diverse cultures in this country. It was like America walking backwards...

I am a single mother raising 2 children with no health insurance.
Sarah Palin was not talking to me last night.
The Republicans in their image and speeches shut out millions of us who do not look or sound like them. They do not represent me.

I lost a lot of respect for Mrs. McCain when, on the day after Mrs. Obama made her "really proud" comment, which was a perfectly reasonable statement, Cyndi felt empowered to wade into that discussion by her sarcastic introduction of John.

She is a woman that hasn't worked for anything in her life. Daddy made her rich through inheritence. She is one one those pampered sorority girls that is a phony and she hurts the ticket with most common folks.

I think this should be re-posted until Election Day:
Top Ten Things Barrack Obama can ask Sarah Palin when he meets her the
first time.
10- How do you load a gun?
9 – Is hunting scary?
8 – How do you get the bait on that hook thingy?
7 – What's it like having a spouse that isn't angry all the time.
6 – You were Mayor, then Governor, what's a budget?
5 – I've never delegated. Do you have a canned speech for that?
4 – What does "meeting a payroll" mean?
3 – Why do you have so many kids; haven't you ever heard of an abortion?
2 – What's it like actually being an executive?
1 – Yeah, but do the Germans like you?

Dharmendra Rai   September 4th, 2008 10:32 am ET

Here's an idea of what someone needs to say, "Gotcha. Palin was a joke."

gotcha Palin!   September 4th, 2008 10:32 am ET

As mayor of Wasilla, Palin hired a lobbyist and traveled to Washington annually to support earmarks for the town totaling $27 million. In her two years as governor, Alaska has requested nearly $750 million in special federal spending, by far the largest per-capita request in the nation. While Palin notes she rejected plans to build a $398 million bridge from Ketchikan to an island with 50 residents and an airport, that opposition came only after the plan was ridiculed nationally as a “bridge to nowhere.”

Great. Now we get to here about POW story at 2 more times after it's already been told at least 5 times in the last 2 days. I'm getting sick of this story. Great. While all of our military should be honored for their service they are making a mockery out of it and making a political stunt. John McCain, according to Palin, is the only one who has ever fought for the American people. BS. Obama could have went to Wall Street a decade ago to make the big $ but chose to fight for needy people in Chicago for chump change. These people are sick for making a mockery out Obama's great story.
