ST. PAUL, Minnesota (CNN) - Dan Savage, sex columnist and author of the syndicated sex advice column "Savage Love," made his way to St. Paul, Minnesota this week to attend the Republican National Convention, where he’s filming a piece for HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher."

Planted in the "CNN Grill," Savage shares his thoughts on John McCain's running mate Sarah Palin, tells us what a sex columnist is doing at a political convention, and gives us his take on who's sexier: Democrats or Republicans.

Ok cindy we get it you have a nice family.....

but let me say isn't it pretty easy to all those nice things for and with your family when you're worth 100 million dollars?

CINDY IS PHONEY   September 4th, 2008 9:58 pm ET

Cindy wants to talk about how loyal and dedicated McCain is. however, its funny that Cindy's video biography failed to mention that when she met him he was still married to his first wife which he dumped as soon as he left Vietnam.

If McCain were to make the White House, a stroke would leave us with a dingbat for president. I'm thinking if you follow McCain & Palin long enough you will find some hanky panky between the two of them.

why were the protesters at the rnc convention and not in denver?
who led them and what was their agenda. this type of violent behavior should not be tolerated any where . the media should investigate these people the y may be plants of some special interest group
maybe the left wing media.

That is great that Dan Savage is making a point at the RNC convention. He's absolutely right – it is the Republicans who have been trying to change the sex lives of Americans – cutting family planning programs, attempting to ban gay marriages... How ironic is this – the party that stresses to get government out of peoples lives - still can't get out of people's bedrooms. What hypocrites are these Republican "moral police" who are pushing "family values" down our throats. ... Try another divisive issue, Republican! And get out of our bedrooms!

Sarah, you must be an ugly person inside and out. What does Cindy have to do with this article? Randy, prepare yourself.

I just donated $50 and will do so again on payday. This is crazy – something is definitely happening and I'm so glad we're on the side of truth!

Cindy Lou should take acting lessons. Those lies are coming through loud and clear

How dare the GOP to think we are so dumb to think McCain will be a maverick if by some stroke of luck he should become president. He's been there for 20 some years voted with Bush, adheres to the same ideas as Bysh and now he's gonna change. It's the good old Texas 2 step. Tell em one thing and keep doing the same. He dosen't want to fix or attempt to fix the health care crisis, the housing crisis will go away and the econoly is great. Can this nation really endure 4 more years of the same? All of the experts have agreed that to drill now is not the answer, at least not for the American people. Now the oil industry would love this, and whats this I hear about the land that avaiable to drill but the oil company dosen't want that. Hey McCain get with it! Alternative energy! Let's take a lesson for the oil producing nations, what are they converting their cars to?
As an American citizen I agree with Obama we as a nation can do better!
