(CNN) – As the newly minted Republican ticket gets set to tour key campaign states immediately following the end of the party’s convention, Sarah Palin's husband Todd is staying behind in Minneapolis for what's reputed to be the largest snowmobile event in the word.
Palin, a world renowned championship snowmobiler known as the "first dude" in Alaska, is set to attend "Hay Days" in lieu of hitting the campaign trail, senior McCain campaign aides told CNN. "Hay Days" is a snowmobile grass drag racing event that is billed as the unofficial kick-off of the snowmobile season.

The aides didn't say whether Palin was participating in the event.
The race attracts the "fastest and most sophisticated iron in the world," according to the event's Web site. "The track has come from one that was full of bumps, to a groomed strip with cyclone fence and an underground sprinkler system which keeps the track in beautiful condition."
Palin, 43, is a four-time winner of the world's longest snowmobile race - the 2,000 mile Tesoro Iron Dog contest, that winds through Alaska's rugged terrain and is dubbed the "Iron Dog Iditarod."

Who is taking care of the children? Isn't Mrs. Palin supposed to be taking a crash course on what's going on in the world outside of Alaska. It really would appear the Palins are trying to do to much, and some hard decisions about what is more important needs to go on. I wonder which parent will do the adult thing and attend to their special needs child, and the child that will need some additional support who is currently pregnant.

Talk about not even trying to win any minority votes! They keep throwing out "hockey mom" and stories like this 1 that minorities cannot relate to. I hope that the voting process is a clean 1 across the board this time.

In response to last night's shrill, sarcastic speech it is evident that Sarah has no sincerity as a "leader:. So, let's take the "L" out of her name and call it what it is, the McCain-Pain team. I pity McCain who will regret the day that he fell for that act. Just wait until she starts speaking in tongues! That will introduce a whole new "foreign and exotic" state to Cokie Roberts.

Palin categorized herself as a pitbull...basically saying that she’s tough! Therefore, when being questioned/attacked by the media (she is a former journalist/news reporter…she knows the ropes...has a BA in Journalism from U of Idaho...no other degrees), or attacked by political opponents, the word SEXISM does not exist. All is fair in LOVE AND POLITICS...GAME ON!!!!!!!!!

Sarah Palin told ministry students at her former church that the United States sent troops to fight in the Iraq war on a "task that is from God."
"Our national leaders are sending them out on a task that is from God," she said. "That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan and that plan is God's plan."
This way they don't have to take responsibility and can blame God.

As I suspect they are using the same divide strategy from Karl Rove. Guns, Religion, Abortion, NASCAR, and now SNOWMOBIL. What OBAMA needs to do is to SPONOSOR a car in NASCAR and have his supporters pay for it for two months and sponsor the best snowmobilers and snowboarders in and to HEAD to ALASKA and compete there.
