Point one: Oprah can have whoever she wants on her show.
Point two: I agree with Lys–I'd much rather see Mrs. Palin on "Meet the Press".
Point three: I don't think Oprah's going to lose any sleep over losing some viewership in Florida–the boycott may backfire and actully drive up her ratings having this so-called "controversy" in the news.

Wow. The Republicans are just insane. I bet if Oprah offered her an interview spot, the Supreme Managers of Palin would say no way anyway. Nobody knows anything about Palin, and she won't allow interviews. We need to know about her views if we are to trust her as VP. What is she afraid of?! She needs to talk to the regular mainstream press before she goes on the soft talk show circuit. Please note again that Obama was on Oprahs show before he was a nominee, and Oprah has made a judgement about not having candidates on.

All I can say is that the democrats really dealt Hillary a mean death blow. Oprah started the celebrity bandwagon for Obama. She is TOO biased to be able to think objectively.

Now- although they seem to really WANT to- Democrats are not in a posotion to repeat those mistakes with Sarah. They can not criticize pregnant teens (Obama's mama?) or inexperience (Obama?) or faith and family (Obama has pandered to Evangelicals himself).

The democrats divided their party with intra-party vitriol- nasty, vulgar, foul name-calling and insults against Hillary and also against any fellow democrat that dared to vote for some candidate other than Obama. They were sexist and demeaning and brutal in their attacks on women of their own party.

Obama did not want to be overshadowed by the VP- so he did not go with HRC. He was afraid she would outshow him.

SO SARAH HIT EVERY NAIL ON THE HEAD with her speech.

NOW the republicans have stolen the show. The democrats are stuck because of the nasty, bigoted, sexist NEW democrats that Obama has inspired. The democrats have lost the moral high ground for being inclusive and supportive of women and progressive.

The republicans proved to be the TRUE believers in change. It was a stunning turn-about.

6. they, and only they can protect this nation from invasion
