I just wanted to extend my heartfelt sympathies and prayers to Jack Cafferty and his family (since comments are closed on his page), for the loss of his loving wife.

Why are people concerned with popularity. Whether we are talking about Obama or Palin, I don't care who is popular. Obama/Biden have put out a specific plan and McCain/Palin have not. Do your homework people, our economy and jobs depend on it.

Giving tax breaks to companies that ship jobs overseas, does not make sense. Cutting taxes can only go so far until there are diminishing returns.

That is why I am supporting Obama. Real Solutions not platform slogans.

Why is it that the McCain campaign is so scared to leave her alone? Is it that she actually knows nothing about what is effect the American people and you are scared she will deviate from the script? Or is it if John McCain isn't by her side people will actually realize she is nothing but a puppet who read teleprompters and talk about other people who use teleprompters?

It will be interesting to see how long they can keep Palin from the press. The McCain attacks on the press as I see it are unfounded, for example, trying to say that Campbell Brown went too far – that is a bunch of bull. At some point he is going to have to make her available and no amount of cramming is going to do – the real story will come out.

When the press FINALLY gets a hold of her, I'm hoping they will ask her the really hard questions about domestic issues, about foreign affairs, about her views on abortion, on the environment, on the economy, and about her past involvement with the AIP, and her Pentacostal religion that holds that Islam is a false religion and that the war on terror is a holy war for her. I want to hear her without her GOP muzzle on.

Gov. Sarah Palin firmly put her foot in her mouth during her debut speech. She violated the first premise of operational security for military families. She announced to a world-wide audience her son’s specific unit, his MOS (military occupational specialty) and the specific dates of the unit’s deployment. This just is not done, ever. If I were the commander of that unit I would be screaming to the Pentagon to change the deployment and I would transfer that boy as far away from my unit as I could.

BTW, I am a military father and I did command an Air Force squadron during the Vietnam War.
