Biden: Palin seems to have ‘extreme views’

Joe Biden said 'Palin has some very extreme views.'

Joe Biden said 'Palin has some very extreme views.'

GREEN BAY, Wisconsin (CNN) - Joe Biden said Monday that vice presidential opponent Sarah Palin seems to have "some very extreme views."

Speaking to a union crowd in Wisconsin, Biden also said he hasn't heard enough specifics from the Alaska governor, and that he's hoping to learn more about her positions before the two debate October 2.

"Hopefully by the time the debate takes place, we’ll have a better sense of her other than some of what she says and what appear to be some very extreme views," Biden said.

Watch: Palin hits the campaign trail

"I’m assuming that she shares John McCain’s views on most of the issues. And she even says, if the press is correct - and I’m not ready, prepared to make a judgment [on this] - her views on everything from global warming to other things, if they are as presented, they’re pretty far out there."

    To Gene DiGillio:

I am an average American. I have three small children, I am a stay at home mom, my husband goes out every day and makes a living to support us. I spend my day being my children's chauffer from ballet to football practices.

Look, I do not believe in attempting to ban books from public libraries, or No to abortion even in the case of Rape or Incest (try to think about telling a 14 year old girl molested and pregnant by her own father that she has to 'be tough and carry the baby for 9 months'. I understand a stance to preserve life but I never hear about what happens to the mother's who would be forced to continue the pregnancies against their own will when it wasn't an "oops" situation. I have a daughter and I have to think about protecting her.

I am for Stem Cell Research, Palin says no.

I don't believe that Alaska should be independent from the USA, however, (and there is video), Palin spoke at the AIP's Convention and her husband was an active member for 5 years (check it out for yourself-which is what you should ALWAYS do anyway).

What I am saying Gene, is that I am an average, everyday American and I don't consider Palin's views about the world mainstream.

Joe... Please don't let this woman intimidate you. Go at her as though she wants to kill you because thats what she wants to do. You are in a fight for our country against a woman who is DICK CHENEY IN A SKIRT. Remember that when you are debating her....

She'll have whatever views the Repub campaign tells her to have. All she has to do is look good saying it (nothing sexist about that).

    "Seems extremist" indeed.

Antiabortion, even in cases of rape and incest, which a lot of people find to be a morally reprehensible position.

Actively anti-environment, to the extent that she hunts wolves from a helicopter and doesn't think polar bears should be endangered.

Believes that the Iraq War was a mission from God, and that a natural gas pipeline from Alaska to the lower 48 is ordained by God.

Doesn't know what a vice president does.

Doesn't know how Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are funded (or were funded), even as she attacked what she didn't know anything about.

Basically if America votes Palin and McCain into office, we deserve what we get. Namely, more war, more death, more bankruptcy, no health care, ruined environment, more in debt to the Chinese, and a lot less importance on the global stage, except as ineffective foil to an increasingly powerful Russia.

Please get after this "woman" Obama and Biden. She is running all over the place bashing you guys right and left and you are tap dancing around her in fear of being labeled sexist. I'm a woman and I IMPLORE you to rip her a new one! If she wants to play with the big dogs then she runs the risk of getting bitten just like everyone else. Talk about double standard! She is fair game. Expose her for the joke that she is. The country depends on it! If she can't handle some tough talk from those running against her, how in the h-e-double l is she gonna handle the other leaders of the other countries? They will bully her and the pitbull will turn into a poodle...but by then it will be to late.

Gene DiGillo's statement that Palin's views are "mainstream" is typical of the radical right-wing. They advocate positions that are clearly in the minority of opinion, then they trumpet them as American, mainstream, so-called "family values" so much that some people begin to believe it. Palin's views are far from mainstream.

Good way to ask the questions about what Palin really stands for. But do not let her LIE and get off easy. Each lie she tell must be challenged. EBAY???? Bridge to Nowhere???? The fact that her brother-in-law was not put in jail for all the things that he "DID TO HER SISTE AN HERE FAMILY' suggests that there was really nothing ligally wrong, and that she had to resort to misusing her power to get at him.

Tell the people that reucing spending on un-needed military projects will provide more money to support and grown the military. Obamaa said several time he supports the military and voted for the GI BILL and VA Reform. Both voted against by McCain

really gene you think everyday Americans think you should outlaw abortions even in the case of rape and incest?

I'm sorry but Joe Biden was right on Meet the Press this sunday, you can't impose your religious views on everyone in this country because we live in a diverse nation.

What are her views on anything? If she is supposed to be able to lead from day 1, why can't she do an interview until the campaign says she is ready. I though Mccain said she was ready the day he announced her. Why is she hiding behind Mccains pants?

Palin is against all abortion even in the event of rape and incest.
Palin does not believe in global warming.
    Palin is Pro-Oil.
Palin does not want polar bears to be protected – she is anti-environment and she WEARS FURS.
Palin made her first huge gaffe – she thought the Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae were government agencies and not privately owned.
Palin kept the 400 MILLION dollars bridge to nowhere money for the state of Alaska....
    Palin's church is a CULT.
    Palin is a republican PUPPET.
    Wake up America!

They may seem extremist to the far left, but to everyday average Americans they are mainstream.

Don't be delusional. The majority of people in this country do not agree with forcing a woman to have a child as a result of rape or incest.

A person who supports aerial destruction of wolves and bears (God's other creatures) is NOT pro life. And isn't she a member of the party that has said for years now that teen sex and teen pregnancies are a result of liberal ideas?

Sarah Palin, go home. There MUST be good republicans out there who could run with McCain.

All the Obama people are running scared and only post such negativity. McCain /Palin will win this election and bring change only they can. Their views are not extreme they are what the United States need. Obama/Biden ... now thats extreme in two ways according to what sideof their mouth they are speaking from today.

Excuse me Mr. DiGilo, there's nothing mainstream about Sarah Palin. She mouths the GOP partyline's lies and baseless smeers and promotes views that are to the very far right by any thinking person's standards. As the weeks progress this will become obvious to everyone.

Palin is an average american with average family problems and if you can not relate to that then you all need to re-evaluate yourselves and stop pushing your own views.

She does have extreme views. This week she said that Freddie Mac and Fannie May have gotten too big and too expensive for the tax payers! Uh Oh! Apparently she didn't know that they were private companies until the goverment stepped in recently. What else doesn't she know...A LOT!
