New ad declares McCain-Palin 'original mavericks'

The McCain campaign is out with a new ad Monday.

(CNN) - Republicans John McCain and Sarah Palin are out with a new television ad Monday, declaring themselves the "original mavericks."

The 30-second spot, set to air in key states, says McCain and Palin will "make history" and "change Washington."

"He fights pork barrel spending," the ad's narrator states. "She stopped the Bridge to Nowhere. He took on the drug industry. She took on big oil."

Palin's statement claiming to have opposed the now-infamous "Bridge to Nowhere" has been disputed by opponents who note she supported the major earmark when she campaigned for governor of Alaska in 2006. According to the non-partisan factcheck.org, Palin didn't oppose the project until Congress had already nixed it.

Palin is nothing more than an overdressed and packaged attack dog – and more than likely, she will be president with McCain being the age he is.

The republican ticket is a disaster in the making for the USA. I pray people will be smarter than that.

Wow! Now the democrats did it, they woke up the giant conservative base. Don't not a good idea mess up with Palin, she is the next Reagan. The polls a showing McCain up 10 points over Obama. tsc tsc... Well, looks like mr not-it-all Obama is doing worse than John Kerry after all. Im glad they didn't pick Clinton as a VP. Everybody knows that Biden will blow up the Obama campaings, he is good at it, he has done it before.

My advice to John McCain: Hire someone to test your food before
    you dine on it.

My advice to Sarah Palin: Don't wear your hair down. It makes it
too easy for Cindy to pull out.

Didn't Sarah Palin hire a lobbying firm to secure 27 MILLION DOLLARS in earmarks? Wasn't she for that famous bridge to nowhere before she was VP?

The McFalin campaign is an insult to my intelligence.

Next time McCain hold up his pen, Obama should hold up his Blackberry,
McCain is like a 1960s band making a comeback by getting a new young lead singer.

Sarah Palin is no maverick! I find the idea of this ad amusing. The people who support Sarah Palin don't want a maverick, and the people who want a maverick don't want her! Do they think people are really stupid enough to believe that this establishment candidate is a maverick just because some gimicky ad campaign says so?

McCain doesn't appear anywhere without Palin these days. Is he going to do the interview with her too?

I hope people will look into Palins lies about the bridge to nowhere. She stands there and says she opposed it, then forgets to mention that she was for it to begin with. Yep, she fits right in with McBush alright. There's alot more to that woman, google Anne Kilkenny to find out more about the farce that she is.

She supports pork barrel spending and she also supported the bridge to nowhere. Her own Republican party officials have said that

What I hear you saying is that the Republicans are lying AGAIN. How can we stop this? You at CNN need to get tougher and tougher on the Republicans.

Truth is most Americans can think past their remote control. If they are continued tuned to NASCAR, Pro Wrestling and the "unfair and unbalanced" netwrok news, how the heck are we ever gonna straighten our this country?

Palin has more experience changing diapers than she has changing government. And who is going to give her children the love they need if she is in Washinton? Sarah should step down and go back to where she obviously does her best work! Barefoot, Pregent and in the Kitchen!!

    Happy reading repubs:

Like most Alaskans, she favors drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. She has questioned if the loss of sea ice is linked toglobal warming. She campaigned “as a private citizen” against a state initiaitive that would have either a) protected salmon streams from pollution from mines, or b) tied up in the courts all mining in the state (depending on who you listen to). She has pushed the State’s lawsuit against the Dept. of the Interior’s decision to list polar bears as threatened species.

John McCain is a war hero. So what if he tells a little white lie now and then to get votes? You should all be ashamed.
