Biden starting debate prep

Biden is preparing to Debate Palin.

Biden is preparing to Debate Palin.

CHICAGO, Illinois (CNN) - Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm has been tapped to help Joe Biden as he prepares to take on GOP rival Sarah Palin in the upcoming vice presidential debate.

Granholm will spend four days helping Biden sharpen his skills before he faces off with Palin October 2.

At a fundraiser Tuesday night, Biden told supporters debating Palin would be tricky.

“Folks look, I know what she’s going to try to do. She’s going to try to make it as personal as she can. She’s going to take a lot of straight lefts and jabs at me, she’s going to try to get me to respond, she’s going to try to get me to respond in a personal way," Biden said. "That’s not my style. I’m not going to do it.”

Instead, Biden said he would "try very hard" to keep the focus on health care, the struggling economy and foreign policy.

Gee, whiz.....he actually wants to debate the issues! He'd be the first in this campaign. He's got my vote.

Question #1: Do you know what the job responsibilities are for the Vice-President of the United States of America?

Question #2: Do you believe in Separation of Church and State?

Question #3: Do you believe in Freedom of Religion?

For the sake of the future of this country....Mr Biden, expose Palin for what she is....a political gimick. Country first is a joke.....McCain is a pandering old fool who will do anything to get elected, regardless of the consequences.

Smart strategy VP Joe Biden. McCain-Palin know they will NEVER win on the issues. They haven't addressed any of the issues thusfar, particularly health care and education. So no wonder Palin will try to gear the debate to personal attacks. This is all she knows and all we have heard from her since she stepped on the national stage. She talked about herself, about McCain, and then nothing but attacks against Sen. Obama. They haven't any answers for the issues that concern the American people. They certainly can not explain one thing that they would do different from Bush. They can not explain the last 8 years of their bad and failed policies that has put our economy in a hole. So it's apparent, McCain-Palin-Bush stance is to stay on the personal attack track.

Certainly it is true – "a pig in lipstick is still a pig."

I truly hope the American people will get it right this time and vote for REAL change and that is Obama. It's definitely time for REAL change in Washington, it's time to elect Barack Obama for president !

The Obama-Biden team are wiser and stronger to solve the crucial problems that we have here and abroad !

Whomever made the mortal kombat reference is hilarious...finish her...flawless

But furthermore, there are a series of youtube clips you can watch where Gov Palin in a CNBC interview says she does not know what a VP does. Biden is more than prepared to debate her seeing as he knows the facts, issues, and what his role is as VP.

Perhaps Palin should use her pitbull attacks on the issues and not personalities...but since she doesn't know them...oh well.

Obama-BIden 08. This should be a flawless victory for Biden.

    To Emma :

Help us poor under 50K rural wage earners as I am sure you have all the answers.
You are like my MC Club......a 1%'er. You think all the answers flow from your thoughts.

How could we poor, uneducated, rural nabobs possibly find our own way without your learned guidance.

Bless me as I know I can not find my own way.

  11. Love My USA

The more I learn about the Dem. Candiates, the more disgusted I become. The latest is, that on the CNN news they announce that when Sara stop the Bridge to no where, there was money , (quite a few million) that was to go back to gov. . The recommendations was send the money to Louisana to help the Katrina residents. Guess who voted NO, Yep your right, BO, Reed and Biden. Bush voted yes, It appears that most of the Dems voted NO.
How can the Dem. candiates look at them selves, and tell the people Black and White they are there for them. What a bunch of two face liars.
Now they are getting so desperate, they are calling people names or alluding to a person. "Pig with lipstick is still a PiG".!

As for EDucaton, all you have to do is lok at the schools in Chiacgo, what did BO do there to help the students. ZERO, NOTHING..
BO is all words and no action.. Tell the people what they want to hear, and not what they will do!
CHANGE??????? BO – null null – otherwise known as Dr. NO!

"Change" is fleeting! Positive and Negative – Good and Bad. Obama's self-serving "change" born from contempt and controversy, is like a wrecker destroying in a day or two, what it took noble builders – our founding fathers – years to construct.

The tale of the sinister scorpion, mirrors BO's blueprint of deceit.

The scorpion, a poor swimmer, asked the turtle to carry him across the river. "Are you mad?" exclaimed the turtle. "While swimming, you'll sting me and I'll drown."
Laughed the scorpion, "If I sting you, you would drown and I would go down with you. Where is the logic in that?"
"You're right. Hop on!" said the turtle.
Halfway across the river, the scorpion gave the turtle a mighty sting. As they both sank to the bottom, the turtle resignedly asked, "You said there'd be no logic in stinging me. Why did you do it?"
"It has nothing to do with logic," the drowning scorpion replied. "IT'S JUST MY CHARACTER."

Good, it's about time we got angry and stood up for what more than half of America believes in. America has been literally destroyed by these people and their 8 year reign of terror. People are depressed and cynical and angry. you can see it and feel it absolutely everywhere you go. Its like we are suffering from a national depression. Republicans are famous for winning because nothing is off limits. They want to win at any cost.....end justifies the means, they spout honor but honor has absolutely nothing to do with how they play at their games. Democrats are famous for playing nice.....but it is time to stand up for ourselves and our country and be angry about what has been done to us; to our reputation; to our standard or education and living. Its time to get angry and hurray for Biden to say it like it is.....if they dont like it.....if they think it is not "nice".....too steal a phrase from the dictator CHeney...."SO" with it.....

Yesterday Palin said we went to Iraq to stop al Qaeda, yet there weren't any there until we went in there. $10 Billion a month for an honorable occupation?

Obama and Biden need to reverse the order of the ticket, then, we would have the inexperienced guy running for VP, and the experienced guy running against the other experienced guy!

hopefully she will start speaking in tongues in the middle of the debate. If this is about the issues, Biden will win hands down. Palin is nuts.

  16. Unapologetically Liberal

For someone who likens herself to a pit bull with lipstick, there is a lot of concern about how she'll be treated by Biden. Perhaps her supporters, and Palin herself, know that her bark is louder than her bite. The fact is–this is a Presidential race. Everything, including the kitchen sink, has already been thrown at Obama and all of the other Presidential candidates. Yes, McCain too. Palin deserves the same treatment as everyone else. We are a country that values equal treatment right?

As long as the press keeps softballing Palin around and lets McCain send "truth squads" to whereever he deems fit, what is the point?

The American people can see they are lying and stretching truths to an obnoxious level. But the media is too scared to do its job. AGAIN, it is up to American people to see what is really going on.

Even when places like FactCheck.ORG keeps proving these things, major news outlets just let them roll off their backs.

When did journalistic integrity drop dead? Because if SARAH was SAM, we would not be having this problem.

End the Republican "selective memory" garbage NOW. If you can research and call out everyone else, then Sarah Palin is just as equal.

Being treated equally is not a priviledge, it is an expectation. It would be nice the see that in action. And tomorrow is the anniversary of 9/11, and you know that will stop the lies either. It might actually produce more garbage talk.

Palin is better than Hillary. All you women supporting her and you PUMA better fall in line and support your new female leader. She is more talented and has more experience than that Hillary who is too liberal and pro choice.

Some of Senator Obama's accomplishments in the Illinois Senate:

Introduced legislation reforming ethics and health care laws.
Sponsored a law increasing tax credits for low-income workers, negotiated welfare reform, and promoted increased subsidies for childcare.
Obama supported Republican Governor Ryan's payday loan regulations and predatory mortgage lending regulations aimed at averting home foreclosures
Sponsored a bill to monitor racial profiling.
Voted on over 3000 bills. Voting present is a common practice in the Illinois Senate if you want to keep the bill alive to make some corrections. He only voted present less than 1% of the time.

    US Senate:
Introduced "Lugar–Obama," which expanded the Nunn–Lugar cooperative threat reduction concept to conventional weapons
Co sponsored the "Coburn–Obama Transparency Act," which authorized the a web portal to make congress spending public information.
Introduced follow-up legislation: Strengthening Transparency and Accountability in Federal Spending Act of 2008.
Sponsored legislation requiring nuclear plant owners to notify state and local authorities of radioactive leaks.
Co-sponsored the Honest Leadership and Open Government Act, which was signed into law in September 2007.
Introduced the Iraq War De-Escalation Act of 2007.
Sponsored the "Iran Sanctions Enabling Act"
Co-sponsored legislation to reduce risks of nuclear terrorism.
Sponsored an amendment to provide one year of job protection for family members caring for soldiers with combat-related injuries.

These are just some of Obama’s accomplishments in his short career. Where are the Fact Checks on these Republican smears and rumors which are coming directly from the McCain campaign itself?

Judge not lest ye be judged.

Seems to me most of you have made your minds up already. You have no idea what Palin will bring to the debate, nor do you have any idea how she will handle herself, (we already know Biden's foot fits comfortably in his mouth.)

So, go ahead and spout off your vitriol, we'll see how smug you Obama-blivions are after the VP debate. 🙂

How can you people be so naive? Do you not "get it" that if Obama gives universal health care that the money will be coming from your paychecks or either the government will go broke!!!!!!! That's just one issue! What about Obama's lies. Watch the O'Reilly interview and you will see how Obama flips and flops and gets angry when confronted with an issue he doesn't know how to uh, uh, uh, answer!!!!!!!!! He's an empty suit; how can educated people not see through him. And, Biden, he did go to an all-time low; one should NEVER make negative remarks regarding children with disabilities! Shame on him! Go McCain/Palin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
