Biden starting debate prep

Biden is preparing to Debate Palin.

CHICAGO, Illinois (CNN) - Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm has been tapped to help Joe Biden as he prepares to take on GOP rival Sarah Palin in the upcoming vice presidential debate.

Granholm will spend four days helping Biden sharpen his skills before he faces off with Palin October 2.

At a fundraiser Tuesday night, Biden told supporters debating Palin would be tricky.

“Folks look, I know what she’s going to try to do. She’s going to try to make it as personal as she can. She’s going to take a lot of straight lefts and jabs at me, she’s going to try to get me to respond, she’s going to try to get me to respond in a personal way," Biden said. "That’s not my style. I’m not going to do it.”

Instead, Biden said he would "try very hard" to keep the focus on health care, the struggling economy and foreign policy.

  1. Will the real John McCain please stand up

Please consult a CANADIAN for the true meaning of what a "Pit Bull hockey mom" really is defined as.

"A meddling mother that knows nothing about hockey but thinks she does".

"A meddling mother that believes her little Johnny or Jenny is better than he or she really is".

Palin is clearly a FRAUD. The McCain camp, just a month ago accusing Obama of playing the race card, is not using she sexist card at every turn they can. Obama was right, McCain couldn't define what honor was because McCain has none. McCain and Palin are stooping to new lows and should be ashamed.

Biden should do what's best for his party and try to make sure he is not overshadowed by the influence of Palin in the election 'cause things are really tough now....OBAMA got to lead, guys....

Palin represents all that is wrong in America...
I am ashamed of her! Sen McCain has insulted the whole country by picking her, especially women!

Sara Palin is a fake and a feminist bully. As Shakespeare once wrote: It was a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying NOTHING!! Joe Biden needs to debate her as she stands: a prima donna for Grandpa McCain. She will bring nothing to the table, let her leave accordingly.

Who ever is doing the questions in this debate you know darn well that the Mccain camp will pay them offf to have only questions they want to ask here, they will have a list for her where she can study them ahead of time. You know how the forum went out in California Mccain knew the questions by the time it came his turn that is why he answered them to darn quick. You know darn well that Cindy has enough money that they can buy this election. And you who are all so for Sarah, thinking something will happen to Mccain cause of his age, just remember his mother is 96, so he might be around a while.

All Palin needs to do in the upcoming vice-presidential debate is to Hold! Her! On! (i.e chutzpah, testicular fortitude) against Biden. Nothing more, nothing less. Even if Biden wins the debate, it'll only be by points. You can't claim (political) bragging rights on that. Remember, politics is perception and perception is reality. It's all about the Electoral College, stupid. 270 EV. That's all.

  9. Wish I could vote

Palin will just continue to make this a personal election rather than actually about the issues. Gullible Americans will continue to believe she actually has a clue. Biden will crush her with actual facts and ideas, yet gullible American's will continue to be bitter about Hillary and refuse to listen to an actual change campaign.

Biden, please dismantle her and set this campaign back on the issues where it should be.

This is to Hello!!!!! She may have killed the project but she kept the money! So much for earmark reform! The McCain camp is shielding her because they know she is unprepared for the real world of top politics. McCain chose her to keep the focus off of himself. Now every time someone takes a legitimate shot at her, they are being sexist. Even Rush Limbaugh called her a "babe"! Laura Ingram said she's "hot"! which is kind of weird.

The republicans are all smart mouthed, sarcastic people. Ruth and Hannity make fun of Democrats all the time, not just as a party, but pesonally! Then they claim to be the party of family Christian values! Is that what they teach their children?

Right on Joe!, Just stick to the issues, and you will show your experience. They have nothing to attack with on the issues, so they will try to make it personal. Don't fall for that line. I think if she wants to be VP, she will have to take the hard questions. This isnt tiddly-winks. It would be interesting to hear her answer to a Dukakis type question. But what are her plans for the ailing economy, energy, foreign policy, education, environment, taxes, trade policies, guantanamo. Her views on seperation of church and state. Just stick to the facts Joe, and her shallowness will shine through. Let's see what she has to say when isn't "reading" like she does on the stump speeches. OBAMA/Biden 08

Sen. Joe Biden is a very intelligent and honorable man, whom Sen. Obama and we can trust in the time of crisis. Sen. Obama chose him as a running mate not just for winning the election but for governing the country. I like Sen Biden to clearly lay out the differences in policies between him and Gov. Palin in the debate. Most rural voters do not seem to understand what Gov. Palin stands for in women's rights, environmental issues, wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Just ask her the following questions:

    1. Do you even know anything about healthcare?

    2. Are you aware of Global Warming?

    3. What is your plan to fix the economy?

I guarantee she'll be baffled immediately.

Why are we even asking questions about how Biden will debate Palin? Is she so weak that she needs special treatment? Can't she hold her own in a debate with a man? We already know that she is too weak/uninformed to face the press. What kind of official needs to be coddled?

Biden has to stay on KEY topics but he/unlike Obama CAN combat the culture divide that the Republicans are trying to widen. It's so sad that they are playing to culture and not what's going to get America out of this mess that they have gotten us in. I pray that there are enough people who realize that they are playing to small towns to win and then forget about them if they get into office. SMALL TOWN AMERICA HAS TO REALIZE THIS!

We are in two wars and the GOP wants to talk about lipstick. People let's stay focus. Do we want to talk about bogus Republican tricks on our future.

The Republicans have no honor. The only reason why McCain is hyping up this lipstick comment is because of the backlash regarding his education ad which was nothing but a disgusting smear. He knew that ad was trouble for him, so to distract yet again he cries SEXISM!!! lol It's pathetic because it's obviously showing this country and the world that McCain has no policies to run on except the fact that he was a POW. The other thing that blows my mind is that McCain used the same comment towards Hillary's healthcare plan. Cheney used it against Gore! It's an old saying which Obama probably learned from his grandparents who raised him. Get over it McCain camp and discuss the issues before you look like bigger fools than you already do.

The GOP has used Sarah Palin to distract the American people. On debate night, we will finally see how unprepared she is for the VP role. We know she can read a teleprompter and make underhanded jabs but will she have what it takes when we have a real conversation about the state of our country? I don't think so...

game over, after a big convention bump, the palin hysteria and mud slinging all around. all the mccain/palin and republicans can do is approach a tie in the race. can't wait til the debates start. obama/biden have the plans and will come to the fore. it gets no better than this week for the repub ticket and then the ballon bursts when they get back on issues (6.1% unemployment anyone). obama/ biden walk away with this election.

I think it would be very helpful if the McCain campaign would just give us all a list of phrases and words we are no longer allowed to use for fear of "offending" them (even though McCain, Rush, etc. used those words against Hillary). Oh, wait, that would take all the fun out of their supposed outrage. My mom used to say if you can't take it, don't dish it out. And Palin certainly dished it out in her convention speech, as have all the negative McCain ads.
