Biden starting debate prep

Biden is preparing to Debate Palin.
Biden is preparing to Debate Palin.

CHICAGO, Illinois (CNN) - Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm has been tapped to help Joe Biden as he prepares to take on GOP rival Sarah Palin in the upcoming vice presidential debate.

Granholm will spend four days helping Biden sharpen his skills before he faces off with Palin October 2.

At a fundraiser Tuesday night, Biden told supporters debating Palin would be tricky.

“Folks look, I know what she’s going to try to do. She’s going to try to make it as personal as she can. She’s going to take a lot of straight lefts and jabs at me, she’s going to try to get me to respond, she’s going to try to get me to respond in a personal way," Biden said. "That’s not my style. I’m not going to do it.”

Instead, Biden said he would "try very hard" to keep the focus on health care, the struggling economy and foreign policy.

If she wants to "play with the big boys" and wants to talk that way (which she certainly did at the Repug convention), then all gloves should be off in regards to playing with her.... The only "sexist" thing would be to treat her with kid gloves because she is a woman..... Come on America.(and the media)...she wants to play that way,,,,she needs to walk the walk.

Hey JB – what has McCain done except go along with GWB for the past 8 years. He's had to go to Democrats to get anyone to work with him. What does that say? Your own party doesn't want him until now when he has a good looking woman along side of him.

must be biden wants to lose, Granholm couldn't fight her way out of a paper bag. Michigan is looking forward to the day she is no longer in office. Believe me I regret the day that I ever voted for her for governor.

  4. REPUBLICAN NOT VOTING FOR MCCAIN/PALIN

Obama/Biden have integrity and moral values. All McCain/Palin want to do is to divert what issue that need to be discussed.

McCain is sure protecting his little Beauty Queen. He is acting like an angry father when anything brings up truths about the stance she has taken on previous issues in Alaska.

The people need to know the truth. When Joe Biden/Sarah Palin debate the truth will come out. I want to know more about he Library and the staff that worked there. In my opinion Palin is someone that acts more like a person in charge of a prison camp. Either her way or no way.

Vote Obama/Biden 08 – 12 for real change. We have got to turn this crisis around that Bush/Chaney/McCain have created.

The hypocrisy of the McCain campaign is beyond words. I've never seen such two-faced people in my life. Sen. Biden, stick to your guns, present the REAL facts, don't take the bait from this candidate who offers the country nothing but false rhetoric! You and Sen. Obama are the true change agents and I fear if McCain and Palin and their lies prevail in November, this country is in for a fiscal and foreign policy horror show the likes of which we have never seen.

Do you liberals get so upset that you waste all this time dominating the blogs and then when election comes the real people of america come out and vote and our guy wins?

Go get her Joe! Palin is going to look as dumb as Tucker Bounds did the other day on CNN trying to justify her command experience of the Alaska National Guard. If you're waiting to see a bounce in the polls, wait until this debate is over. Joe can rip her a new one, but I think he'll let her make a fool out of herself. Oh, by the way, Virginia will become a democratic state for the first time. If McSame would have paid attention to the DNC, he would have realized that Virginia has a Democratic Governor, Tim Kaine. We have former Governor, Mark Warner, soon to be a U.S. Senator. And since the Repubs want to brag about Palin's approval rating of 80%, Governor Warner had a 70% approval rating and didn't even serve his whole term. Not to mention that he governed a real state with real economic issues!

You don't hear much from us-we're not on the internet all day-we are a
quiet but major part of this election--

However, you will hear our voices on election day-in the privacy of the polling booth, we will show you, without telling you, why we will not have Obama.

Media, please do your job and press her for answers now...

Dems are off message and looking like idiots-DNC "SELECTED" the wrong candidate-this is just the beginning-they'll mop the floor with BO and JB when they're done!

And bots...why so angry???-I thought "The Messiah" wasn't going to go negative???-guess it doesn't work does it???-this is great watching the "The Messiah" get his day!

It's important that Biden stay above the fray and not fall into the Republican strategy of playing the victim. McCain and Palin have nothing to run on so they are yelling "change" and coming up with faux controversies by charging sexism over anything Obama and Biden say. The US is at war on two fronts, the economy stinks, job losses are devastating and the future looks bleak. The Republicans have nothing to run on but a lot of huff.

I enjoy seeing the direct more confrontational approach the Dems are taking ... let the GOP tickets eats the results of their own tricks.

I do think Joe Biden has a tough task because Sarah the pit bull is shameless and can always pull the little woman card out if things get too tough.

I don't think Biden needs to necessarily WIN his debate with Sarah. Americans who love Sarah will not be swayed if Biden wins. It is important that Barrack appear more likeable and presidential then McBush. Hope someone check if McBush brings the remote conversation technology to the debate again, like Bush did four years ago.

My question is why are the Democrats and the main stream media allowing the Republicans to define the rules of engagement? One sided, of course.

The McCain Campaign & GOP complaining about anything are like Nazi Collaborators or the SS concentration camp guards complaining about being 'mistreated' after Liberation.

The word 'Truth', 'Palin', 'McCain' and Republican do not belong in the same sentence.

Let Palin make it personal. It's all she has. It's all that the GOP has. They alone ruined this country for 8 years.

Hopefully CNN and other news outlets will report on the candidates responses to the issues and not any one liners to get ratings.

People this is not a personalities contest no matter how much the Republicans want to make it so.

Demand more from them and from our "Free Press"

If you really want your country back voting for Obama/Biden and only other Democrates is the only way this time.

Nothing but more mean-spirited vindictive rhetoric from the left wing. Obama calls her a pig. Biden suggests she should favor stem-cell research. How low can the liberals go? I doubt we've seen the worst yet, and am sure we'll see more left wing hate during the debates. The messianic image of "the One" is being shattered before our eyes.

Biden can take on Palin with no problem, but he's right in one respect
she is going to try to make everything personal and cry sexism
at every turn. She is going to lie at every turn as she has since
    she was the VP pick.
Biden needs to nail her to the wall on her policies and her flip flops.
