Biden starting debate prep

Biden is preparing to Debate Palin.

Biden is preparing to Debate Palin.

CHICAGO, Illinois (CNN) - Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm has been tapped to help Joe Biden as he prepares to take on GOP rival Sarah Palin in the upcoming vice presidential debate.

Granholm will spend four days helping Biden sharpen his skills before he faces off with Palin October 2.

At a fundraiser Tuesday night, Biden told supporters debating Palin would be tricky.

“Folks look, I know what she’s going to try to do. She’s going to try to make it as personal as she can. She’s going to take a lot of straight lefts and jabs at me, she’s going to try to get me to respond, she’s going to try to get me to respond in a personal way," Biden said. "That’s not my style. I’m not going to do it.”

Instead, Biden said he would "try very hard" to keep the focus on health care, the struggling economy and foreign policy.

The very next thing Obama says is a metaphor about dead fish smelling in newspaper (forget the exact quote)

THAT is TWO metaphors BACK to BACK that seem to refer to TWO nicknames about Gov Palin and all this in the context of an attack against his opponents.

FIRST is the pig lipstick one.

SECOND is DEAD FISH newspaper one
Remember she is known as A FISH IE a barracuda.

A word smith and gifted orator such as Obama would finding double meanings in things and would love to say things with (intended or not) double meaning himself.

Preparation?. . . That shouldn't take much. Joe , if Sarah Palin gets any question about the middle east conflict, you're a shoe-in.

Yes, Biden needs to focus on the issues, but it's time he also got tough on Palin. She's been out there with her sarcastic and mocking attacks for nearly 2 weeks now, and they must be addressed. If the Dems allow her to continue without fighting back, they could very well lose this election. Palin has absolutely no credentials on foreign policy, the economy, health care, etc. Her arrogance in pretending that she does, and in pretending that she has better solutions for the problems this country faces than Obama or Biden is truly repulsive.

Love reading you bots and your talking points that have all PROVEN FALSE, but sheep believe if the same LIES are bleated over and over they somehow come true.

Maybe Biden can steal his ideas for the debate from someone else as he has DONE before, maybe he can explain what he thinks about people from India and how they only work at Dunkin Donuts or 7-11.

The more you "people" and your sexist leader (one second sweetie, as spoken by Barry H Obama to a female reporter, remember?) and the swooning media LIE about Palin and demean her, the BETTER IT IS FOR McCAIN and PALIN.

Obambi when he is away from the teleprompter is a gaffe waiting to uh, uh, uh, uh happen as yesterday proved AGAIN.

Just like Barry says, you can put lipstick on a lying, racist, SEXIST, I hate America politician, but that person is still a lying, racist, SEXIST, I hate America politician.

The media is TRYING to do what they did for the Clintons in the 90's (before the chosen one came along) in EXPLAINING every mistake as being part of some conspiracy by talk radio.

Stick a fork in him, he is "burnt" and DONE.

Look, If Palin wants to play in the BIG leagues she needs to be able to take the heat! There should be NO crying out sexism!

I still only want to know if Palin guilty or not of abuse of power as Govenor and why she has to LIE about everything on her record.

Also if she not the same as BUSH/Chaney why Bush's people write her speeches. Excuse me. She only did 1 speech and then became a broken record!

Just when we thought it couldn't get any worse than Bush, the Republicans created Sarah Palin. Even less experienced, less traveled, more religious and more conservative. She makes him look like a moderate.

Biden better eat her alive. He's obviously capable of destroying her. For once, it's time for the Dems to go on the offense. Do it, Biden! It's so easy...............

I find it rather amazing reading all the bad crap the democRATS have to say about Sarah Palin. Its also a rather pathetic attempt to run her into the dirt! Shame on you people. If you don't like her, that's your option, of coure, but why all the awful sentiments? Just plain mean people in the democRAT party as far as I can see. Just sour grapes on your part because people by and large like her!

Just debate and let us decide. Most won't watch it but will say their candidate won anyone, haters on this blog have already made up their minds, it will be the open minded ones who will decide and make a difference in Nov.

Slow Joe will prepare for the debate like he always does. By reading other people's works, rewording their phrases, and saying he made it up himself.

By the way Obamabots, look it up and you will see that Obama AND Biden voted FOR that Bridge to Nowhere.

Looks like the Little Rascals are in trouble.

Pathetic republicans. They have forgotten the issues this country is facing. All they want to do is show case Palin to make this like a beauty queen contest. For God sake, this is a contest for the presidency of the United States, a very important role in the whole world. McCain who claim to be a great patriot who things about the country first has made this cynicle move for get mere political milage. He lost my respect with the way he act now. He has made a mockery out of the seriousness of this job he is fighting for. I hope Joe Bidden will stick to issues when Palin try to make it about the person. This country does not need a celebraty in the White House. It need a leader who can take it out of this mess we are in right now. I hope American people also think on those lines and would not make the same mistake they did in 2000 and 2004. This woman is attractive. But we must remember, we are voting to select a president; not to select the best hockey mom.

If I was Biden, I would debate her as I would any man. She plays tough, well she will be tough ONLY if she knows the issues – I'm sure she will not. She just looks empty to me.

It is the ultimate in sexism to think that Joe should treat Palin any differently than he would have treated Romney, Pawlenty or Lieberman (I would have paid to see that!).

If she indeed is a "pit bull with lipstick" then Joe should have no qualms about going after her with everthing he has.

I am so fed up with the hatred and the ignorance. Fighting for your candidate is okay, however fighting over principals, religion, character is causing so much resentment and cynicism. This election is about the ISSUES. At the end of the day, I don't want my children to grow up to be intolerant of beliefs that are different from theirs, nor do I want them to practice extremism. This political process and campaigning, while historic, is also going to go down as one of the most vile that makes people act out in ways that I thought we left behind or at least are working to leave behind. It is so sad.

JB, you are sadly misinformed. In his eight years in the Illinois legislature, Obama sponsored over 800 bills. Some of these became laws.

Obama has been a senator since January 2005, so he's been in the Senate for nearly three years. In that time he cosponsored many important bills, including one to cut down on nuclear weapons worldwide and another calling for transparency in government. I don't have the space here to list all of Obama's accomplishments.

In addition, Obama has the judgment to lead. Bush is now following an Iraqi timetable similar to that proposed by Obama. Years of experience aren't worth much unless you've learned from them. Obama is more capable than McCain is to lead our country.

    CNN, please print this.

That's right, get ready to show those who already knew, that you are a strong, wise political force to be reckon with. A man that cares about every day kitchen table issues and a vision for how our country to redirect itself regarding foreign relations abroad. Go Biden!

Joe!! Stick to the issues that are so important for the people of the United States. Do not let her rattle you with her one linners and sweat but deceptive smiles. America deserves a VP with a clear understanding of the issues both domestic and foreign. Go Joe Go
