Biden starting debate prep

Biden is preparing to Debate Palin.

Biden is preparing to Debate Palin.

CHICAGO, Illinois (CNN) - Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm has been tapped to help Joe Biden as he prepares to take on GOP rival Sarah Palin in the upcoming vice presidential debate.

Granholm will spend four days helping Biden sharpen his skills before he faces off with Palin October 2.

At a fundraiser Tuesday night, Biden told supporters debating Palin would be tricky.

“Folks look, I know what she’s going to try to do. She’s going to try to make it as personal as she can. She’s going to take a lot of straight lefts and jabs at me, she’s going to try to get me to respond, she’s going to try to get me to respond in a personal way," Biden said. "That’s not my style. I’m not going to do it.”

Instead, Biden said he would "try very hard" to keep the focus on health care, the struggling economy and foreign policy.

Go get her, Joe! The fact that the democrats and the press can't say anything about her without backlash is sexist! The fact that she's hidden away from the press and not allowed to talk for herself is sexist! If she wants to run for the second highest office she needs to be treated EXACTLY like the rest of them! Investigate, bash, and comment on her. It's sexist if you don't. If she's the strong woman they say she is then she can handle herself and talk for herself without the McCain camp hiding her and talking for her. The fact that she's not talking and no one is allowed to say anything bad about her without the republicans freaking out is saying that this woman really isn't ready to be VP. Treat her like one of the guys! It's only fair!

Biden needs to keep it to the issues and, on that level, treat Palin like any other politician in her position (male or female). Don't let the Republicans' sexist tactics cow you into going easy on her just because she's a "Little Woman". Keep it clean, but when Palin refers to herself as a pit bull and claims she's tough enough to take on the Male Establishment – respect her enough to take her at her word!

How did Palin "save the taxpayers millions of dollars" by "killing the Bridge to Nowhere" when she never returned the money? She killed the bridge and kept US taxpayers dollars and we didn't even get a bridge! How courageous...

  6. Quit the praise you guys!

Obama and Biden MUST quit patting McCain on the back for his war service, yeah , yeah we know already. They need to focus that being a war vet does not mean you are ready to lead a country. My son was a soldier for 20 years and I sure wouldn't put him in charge of a nation.
Palin is a ruse and I think a gag joke but she has appeal.. only heaven above knows why. Her policies will take women's rights back 50 years.. just like her hairdo she is out of touch!

The RepugLIES objective from the beginning was to make it a sexism
situations, but the American people are not buying it. I’m a female
and if you want to be equal. Lets be equal. Sock it to her Biden.

The HOT AIR air will be out of her balloon soon.

I can't beleive how the media fell for this garbage from the RepugLIES.

I don't care if Palin puts her lipstick where the moon don't shine!

This is about the fact that the Republicans had the Presidency, the House AND the Senate all those years. Where were they? Too busy taking the money Jack Abramoff was bringing in to the party?

Why is bin Laden still flipping America the middle finger? Why have we lost our credibilty around the globe? Why is our trade deficit, economy, and unemployment so bad? Why are we saddling our kids with debt?

All this happened on the Republicans' watch!

You need to tell the entire story if you are going to go down that road. Why don't you tell us what else was in that same bill why even senitors from states that would benefit from the money also voted against the bill. Do you really believe any Americian would vote against a bill to help hurricane victims if there wasn't something else in that bill that just stinks. By the way where was John McCain when that bill was being voted on, off taking his afternoon nap I bet. He was not even around to make a difference.

We know that no matter what Joe says to her, the McCain camp will cry foul. That seems to be their modus operandi.

This whole thing about Obama saying something about putting lipstick on a pig, and the McCain camp saying that he was saying it about Palin is utterly ridiculous. But, of course, the low-information voters will pick it right up.

We need to make the next 50-some days all about the issues and stop with the sissy stuff. If Palin can't take the heat, she shouldn't have stepped into the proverbial kitchen. Of course, apparently all she can do is give the same old tired speech, full of lies, day in and day out. The McCain camp doesn't even trust her to speak to reporters but she'll be ready to go on Day One?? I think not.

JB – for the record, McCain has since gone back on what was on the McCain Feingold bill AND his position on torture in order to gain his party's favors. Keep up with the facts, please.

Also, you call Obama "lazy"...I thought he was an elitist? How can one be both? Either way, both of those charges are laced with racism.

In addition, "lazy", really? The guy who worked his way up from food stamps to editor of the harvard law review? who worked strenuously on the streets of Chicago to bring jobs back to a depressed area? who, by 40, had already accomplished more than many people accomplish in their lives?

Again, logic and facts are the only way to fight ignorance...

Well, I thought Biden was, "the experienced one" why would he need a coach, or has he already received all the questions in advance.

He is our champ for jobs

Palin is the new champ for scandal and oil wars.

  18. He Will Raise Taxes For The Wealthy

Someone said, I think Bill Mahr, that when McCain said that Barack was going to raise taxes at his convention, he was talking to an audience of mostly millionaires. So it's true, that Barack is going to raise their taxes, as well as his own. But 95% of Americans will get a tax CUT, if they make under 250 thousand dollars.

I don't make over 250 thousand dollars a year, and so yes, I'm ready for my tax cut.

Go Joe!!!Stick with issues, let her put foot in mouth. I thought she was an idiot, till she opened her mouth and removed all doubt. I say, if she is a barracuda, it is time you do some fishing!!!She will set woman back 100 years. She is not Hillary totally opposite styles and beleifs, and Hillary will not even acknowledge her, smart woman. That irritates people the most, no comment about their tactics. Not worth the space in Hillarys mind!

  20. Palin has more experience than Obama

Biden better start getting ready for the debate. Palin will kill him in the debate. Biden has a history of "foot in month" so all you Obama backers start thinking of excuses why Biden was killed in the debate and that it was part of media hating Obama.

Palin should ask Biden how much experience he and Obama has running anything, other then for the white house that is. Ask him what he thinks about Obama only working as a Sen. for less than 150 days before he started working on getting in the White House.

I hope all Dems overlook Palin and think that Biden will win the debate. It will turn out just like all the dems knowing that Obama would be up in the polls. I know the excuse of "cell phones are no called" and other BS. So I am sure you will come up with good excuses why Palin killed Biden in the debate.

Which way would you like it Obama supporters? Did Palin just read a speech that was prepared for her, as was touting by the DEMS after her convention speech? Can she not speak without the words being prepped for her? If so,then her convention speech did not reflect her right?

So are we to believe then that she is a "snide, snarky, one-line Zinger politician?

Which one is it? I seemed to be hearing both.

Biden is beginning to sound like Obama. Say they are going to (fill in the blank) to ensure everyone looks for that in their opponent. In this way he changes the expectations to fit his needs. Only the young foolish Obama fans will fall for this again. Of course with the media's help, this may be enough.

I don't like McCain but I will not be fed the media's line of bull again. Look where they have gotten us so far. They fed us GWB on a silver platter. He was wonderful and they ensured that was drilled into the public mindset-everyone wanted to have a beer with W. Then it was the invasion of Iraq-not a negative word was spoken in the media, until it was no longer popular. Now, the media forgets to be balanced and feeds us all Obama (he is the messiah). The media has a responsibility to be unbiased, no matter how far their ratings fall.

These boards are too funny, would everyone stop drinking the kool-aid. Do a little research before spouting off stupid comments. Take a look at the factcheck website. One of the dumb comments is that McCain/Palin will do anything to dont think Obama/Biden wont?
