Eboney and Ivory–Yeah Bill, that's the way to show this disgusting bunch of old white men and bimbo pit-bulls. It can be done and it will show the world that there is hope for this country yet. Not really a Clinton fan but, if Palin thinks she's a pit-bull, wait until she meets a Bull Mastif–Our girl Hillary.

LaVon k hummel   September 11th, 2008 12:16 am ET

Lynn E , You speak as hatefully as Palin dose. it so ugly . How sad .Obama is to intellegent , to chase the rabbit McCain is tossing him or should I say PIG.

sandee in Portland   September 11th, 2008 12:14 am ET

It's about time Bill joined the fray. Go get em you two

bridgette   September 11th, 2008 12:13 am ET

Does Obama ever stand up for himself that's your question Lynn E? We have a VP candidate who can't answer any questions and everytime someone says anything about her that is not a compliment it is considered sexist or mean. I think you may want to re-think that question. Not one time since the Republican convention has the McCain/Palin ticket mentioned one thing about the issues. Wake up please.

Cupper   September 11th, 2008 12:13 am ET

The last 3 VP picks (on both sides, 6 total) EVERY one of them have been made available to the media within 24-hrs of them being picked. They even let that idiot Quayle talk openly with the press.

What is she hiding? Someone should demand that Rove make her available to answer a few questions.

Spewing lies with a stump speech day after day, with no one to challenge what you're saying or answering ANY questions seems VERY un-American.

I thought she was applying for the job as VP?

Why can't we ask her any questions?

All we get is one speech she delivered great, but didn't write.

I can't believe people are not DEMANDING that she speak to the American people.

This open dishonesty and pandering to the dumbest, most backward elements of the population and the lapdog press allowing this to go on makes me want to VOMIT!

Kep   September 11th, 2008 12:12 am ET

Lynn E – Does Palin ever stand up for herself? Obama was on Bill O'rielly this week, where o where is Sarah Palin? Oh yea, I forgot, taking instructions from Bush Prep. on Foreign Policy.

Independent for Obama   September 11th, 2008 12:10 am ET

I recently heard one Palin/McCain adviser saying that Palin will help bring Oregon and possibly Washington on their side…

Well, here is a reality check for you. I live near Seattle and drove around Washington and Oregon a lot this Summer – I have to report that I've seen hundreds of cars with Barack Obama 08 sticker and as many houses with Barack Obama 08 sign in their front yard all around Washington and Oregon. As of today, just 55 days until election, I haven't seen even one(!) car with McCain sticker and I've only seen one(!) McCain sign near foreclosed house – got the picture?

Obama will win Washington and Oregon by a landslide!

Kep   September 11th, 2008 12:08 am ET

Republican for Obama/Biden...The right change right now!!!. Sit Down Palin, your 15 seconds is up! Clinton Time!

Indie Deb   September 11th, 2008 12:08 am ET

Rich, you are a vie disgusting pos. Your mother must be so proud of the pos she gave birth to.

mhn   September 11th, 2008 12:04 am ET

Whose side is Joe on?......Perhaps he should have turned down the offer of the VP when asked, but now it appears that he has some reservations....Joe and Barack needs to stick to the real issues and of course allow the "pit bulls" to come out and do the "dirty work".......I am tired of him saying that John McCain is my friend......but John's dogs keep barking at Barack and his family..........When will Joe realized that this a "RACE TO THE WHITE HOUSE"..........Show some guts>>>>

TheTruth   September 11th, 2008 12:03 am ET

I have a STRONG feeling that all these so-called "Ex-Hillary-Supports-For-Mccain" who post on CNN forums are nothing but GOP campaign stooges posing as fake Hillary supporters in a lame effort to divide our party and cast doubt on Sen. Obama. Does anyone else think this?

Ann California   September 11th, 2008 12:03 am ET

McCain can steal Obama's "Change "Slogan. We have a new one:

Americans demand: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

Ann California   September 10th, 2008 11:59 pm ET

It took Obama 2 years in the Senate to Get It.
It took McCain 23 years to try to Get It.

OBAMA 2 – HE KNOW WHAT TO DO

MCCAIN 23 – THE SAME IT WILL BE

Andrea, California   September 10th, 2008 11:53 pm ET

yeah, NOW he needs the Clinton brand. Hilarious.

Betty   September 10th, 2008 11:52 pm ET

I am so glad to see the Clintons on the trail with Barack. McBush has done nothing for 26 years, and now he is a reformer and a changer, this is a joke, This person he has chosen makes my ears hurt to hear her talk, and her canned remarks are so far off base, and we as Americans should ashamed to listen to all the lies. We have lived thru some really nasty times in the last 8 years and to elect the Republicans again to continue with same OLD woren out politics is something I hope does not happen. We can not endure more of the same.

Carole C., Chicago   September 10th, 2008 11:52 pm ET

If Obama takes a strong stance against McCain's lies and distortions, everyone says he isn't focusing on the issues. If he focuses on the issues and ignores McCain/Palin, he is accused of not "standing upfor himself." It's clear to me that no one could forecast that the Republicans would run a campaign based upon lies, distortions, stealing Obama's campaign theme, and blatantly pandering after Hillary Clinton's base. Help needs to come from every corner of the democratic party, everyone needs to be on the stump! This is not a one man show...the Republicans are the incumbent party and they are going to have to be "knocked out." With the right support, he can stay on the issues and make his support the "pit bulls."

The Clintons are not responsible for the out come of this election! What good is Bill the racist going to do? You didn't want them then but now your begging? Go ahead Clintons but demand that the BO comes out for you with a "great speech" on the good work you have done for minorities.

scott h   September 10th, 2008 11:44 pm ET

I feel bad for Bill cause i am sure he really wants to do this like he wants a root canal. In otherwords he doesn't because even he knows obama isn't ready to lead anything, nevermind the country!

Obama needs Daddy Clinton just like McCain needs mommy Palin. Only difference is Clinton was once the President while Palin was out shooting moose and wanting Alaska to seperate from the rest of the United States.,

It's sad to see Americans again repeating the Repubican speeches or propaganda like robots after learning a recording, It's sad I hoped Americans were smarter
A good democrat commercial would show a mother of five (like I saw last night ) say " well Palin's a mother I'm a mother so I'm think she can do it.." Think for a moment,,,,,, is this women I saw last night really that ignorant.??? what about the facts.
When i told my girlfriend, (when the repubicans first released her on America ) that she cute so American women would love her in spite of the facts ,, she said "no way " they're too intelligent. I said no "they're not ". This is not a time I wanted to be right it's scary and sad . Fool me once shame on me , fool me three times shame on all of those that support Mccain and his lies, he smiles and sells your future tio big business.

Diamands   September 10th, 2008 11:29 pm ET

If Hillary is big enough to put the primaries behind her and campaign for Obama, why can't the rest of the Hillary Dems get past this? Don't they realize what is at stake?! As for Obama, I do wish he would stick to the program. As for the other side, is John McCain still running? All I see is Sarah Palin and I am sick of her! She is a hockey mom. Wow! That certainly qualifies her to be VP! She called Hillary a whiner and now she is whining and complaining that she is getting treated poorly. Sarah, if you can't stand the heat, get back in the kitchen!!!

facts are facts   September 10th, 2008 11:24 pm ET

The hate for America all over the world bears witness to the failed policies of the Republicans. You see it every day on the news. Burning flags and hanging effigies.

Well if you think these types of demonstrations are bad wait until McCain gets into power as he is already hated by more people than what hate Bush and Cheney.

My prediction is if McCain gets into power you will be embroiled in wars overseas and in the U.S. as hate breeds recruitment and there is enough hate to recruit a large portion of the world. I doubt this gets printed as CNN sheilds readers from the truth.

ginger   September 10th, 2008 11:23 pm ET

Men or Women who don't stand up for themselves don't graduate from Columbia and Harvard. Sen. Obama is a strong leader who loves this country.

dd   September 10th, 2008 11:21 pm ET

thank you Bill

Jan/Canada   September 10th, 2008 11:17 pm ET

Good for Bill! It shows he is not now or ever been a racist and that he will stand up for the Democratic Nominee Barak Obama. Only under democratic rule has the economy been good and useless wars were not an option. Jobs were plentiful and can be again if Obama becomes president. God knows there is enough money once you get the troups out of Irag to rebuild every bridge in the USA, fix the levees in all the States that need it done, repair all the roads, retool the auto industries to make gas driven cars (even the Iranians figured this one out) restructure closed plants to built wind tubines etc etc etc Wake up America or soon you will be a third world country!!

Mary Queen   September 10th, 2008 11:17 pm ET

Look, listen for issues not personal attacks. It sounds like the white women in USA have estrogen running rampart in all aspects of their being, Palin has said absolutely nothing that proves she can run this country. So what she can car pool, manage a small town, shoot and fish wild life, so can a lot of hillbillies but that does not make them presidental material. Let us not continue to be stupid and reelect another 4 years of Bush administration. Wake up women, show some intelligence.

Sue in MI   September 10th, 2008 11:16 pm ET

Nobody is FOR abortion, but people are for a woman having that option in an emergency. For goodness sakes, before Roe v. Wade women died in back alleys. Do you really want to go back to that? Obama has a sensible plan to eliminate the need for abortions, and I respect that stance.
Clinton will be a huge help, because he is the one Democrat who could stand up to the Republican sniping, and get the issues out there. Barack needs him, and it's nice to see a candidate who will take advice from someone. Who is McCain talking to? Oh, Rove. 'nuff said.

Carl from MI   September 10th, 2008 11:15 pm ET

I CAN'T WAIT for Bill Clinton to open up a can of whoop#$% on the Republican Party. He's done it before... he's no stranger to giving them a nice, well-earned smackdown!!

AS IF McCAIN STANDS UP FOR HIMSELF AND DOESN'T USE SURROGATE DADDIES TOO!!! AND McCAIN HAS HIS OWN PROTECTOR TOO.... THE 'SHRILLA FROM WASILLA' SARAH PALIN!! HE WAS NOTHING WITHOUT HER... NOW HE'S NOTHING WITH HER!!

WAKE UP, AMERICA!! VOTE SMART... NOT SENILE!!!

It seems like Obama is out on his own trying to fend off the GOP endless attacks.

I Dems were serious about getting a President from their party into the White House. It sure doesn't look that way.

You are what's wrong with our country.

Farrell, Houston, Tx   September 10th, 2008 11:09 pm ET

Lynn E: I don't know who your daddy is or if he's still living, God Bless his soul, so let's leave Obama's deceased father out of politics. Further, saying you thought Bill Clinton was a racist, well you "thunk" wrong. Your statement about Bill Clinton being Obama's protector of the moment makes me concerned as whether you've been stalking Obama for whatever reason. Be careful with your words, they draw concern.

emily   September 10th, 2008 11:07 pm ET

Lets stick to the issues, We all know there are many of them. And while we are at it, lets have Palin answer some questions. Isn't anyone else tired of her not being accountable for the lies she tells every day she campaigns? Ear marks, bridge to nowhere, etc. Let her face the press and answer. We are voting, give us some facts.

Emma   September 10th, 2008 11:03 pm ET

I know CNN won't post this.
I don't know why McPalin supporters are up in arms about Obama with negative ads and lies, but it sounds like life is good for them and are scared to face the reality and defeat. Think about Dems and Independants it's been 8 years of suffering and pain and we the people want to suffer another 4 more years. Let's put a stop to this Americans and wake up!!. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!
Obama/Biden 08'

Geri   September 10th, 2008 11:02 pm ET

Obama can't talk for himself, he usually blames it on someone in his campaign. I respect Bill & Hillary Clinton immensely but I never thought they would have to go out & win the election for Obama. Notice this all comes after Palin was nominated for Vice president. I hope to God he doesn't win and NO I am not racist I just don't think he has what it takes to be a leader. He whines and carries on too much and since Michelle wears the pants in the family, he'll have to run everything by her and hope she approves. She'll be the one to answer the phone at 3am and tell who ever is on the other end that he can't use the phone because he left his socks on the floor. What a different election this would be if Hillary had been chosen But wait a minute.....the afro americans voted for him on race not on issues. They forgot how good the Clintons were to them.

n jean   September 10th, 2008 11:02 pm ET

Bill Clinton is one of the best, if not THE best speaker. He will deliver just as Obama does. They both tell it like it is. The Republicans have a hard time with that because most of what Clinton and Obama say is the truth and they hate it!

Penn Voter   September 10th, 2008 11:00 pm ET

Betty Vanover   September 10th, 2008 11:00 pm ET

I am sure you all have seen the security clearencces that Palin has and the responsibility of the Governor of Alaska. Her security clearance is quite equal to President Bush's and Homeland Security. We need someone who will stand up for all of us who have never in our lifetime seen a time when there is not a war or a recession. The young voters are caught up in the idol image. Their parents have shielded them from most of the hard knocks in life. Listen to her speaches and her knowledge and put it against Obama's. He only spouts words from all his hundreds of speech writers, one speech he made the teleprompter went off and he turned around and lost his train of thoughts and kept looking for it to come back on to rescue him. He is not qualified. Thanks

RyanT   September 10th, 2008 10:52 pm ET

Is the fact that John F. Kennedy was a senator BEFORE he was voted into the White House lost on everyone? There is a reason why Obama is endorsed by the Kennedy family. He reminds them of JFK.
A lowly senator running for president.

CFL   September 10th, 2008 10:52 pm ET

Why are the Dems continually looking for someone / anyone , to come to Obama's rescue. Who is gonna come to his rescue when Russia / China, and all the others come at him. Oh thats right he can "talk" to them and make them see the error of their ways.

Joan Claflin   September 10th, 2008 10:51 pm ET

Bill Clinton may have a legacy to prop up but he clearly has our country's best interest at heart and the ear of the last convincing demoocratic majority. What good we all could do if we united as democrats to support Bill, Hillary, Barak, Joe and many others in the message about the change we need ... and can only get if we focus on real issues, real candidates.

ANY woman (as the media put it) that brought Republican's campaign back to LIFE....Yes, they are Americans, the question is do they REALLY care about most of the 98% of Americans that struggle with this lousy economy? Since Palin came on the scene...all McCain has done is STAND beside her with this smock smile on his face, whining and looking like I got THEM, (after voting for Bush OVER 90% of the time). He was in a position to help us BEFORE this election, while most of us struggle while he continued to support BUSH/oil/gas. Even to him VETERANS wasn't important, We the 98% of voters...STRUGGLING to pay for gas/oil, mortgage, healthcare and ect.................

THE BIG QUESTION FOR US AS VOTERS..........AFTER 26 yrs. WILL he really CHANGE anything in Washington after the Elections?

I am not a racist or a republican, just someone who does not think he has enough experience, has a Bush like attitude, does not like his attitude toward women, did not like some of his wife remarks, does not like his flip flopping, don't know what change he is talking about. Just don't want to vote for him no matter what both Clintons doe.

Bill is not idiot. Makes some stupid slips from time to time, but he's up there with Reagan as communicator. He will do wonders for Obama if he is genuine. He won't ask the voters to like Obama. He won't ask them to determine whether Obama's a muslim. He will tell them to their face that if they want a good life for their children, they need to get on board the train. He's gonna tell them that the Repubs have been lying to them for 30 years and they've been had. Ole' Bill will have the stats to back him up too.

RACISM!!! is why it is so close and everybody is coming up with all kinds of other reasons but. The wiser young people in this election don't see color, while the older white folks just can't wise up to see past it.

*******ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!********************
It is all sooooooo stupid. Let the white folks have their country. They are so blinded by it, they can't see anything else to realize that we do not see the same old mess.. but wait, it doesn't matter to them. They are living off of grandaddy's slave money and doing just fine!!!!!

The McCain camp along with Palin are making a mockery out of women's rights and great successes over the last several decades. For them to cry sexism at every possible turn is a complete disgrace to women and frankly as a women I am deeply offended. This is a mockery of true sexism, unequal pay, few women in high level positions, outrageous healthcare and daycare costs for single mothers and the list goes on. Making a mockery out of sexism charges takes away from women's real concerns. Enough McCain and Palin. You are defeating what women have been working so hard for by your lies and false accusations.

Independent woman voter   September 10th, 2008 10:17 pm ET

Way to go President Clinton you need to remind everybody how the Republicans wasted all the money of the nation in 8 years, by the way I heard Iraq has a surplus is that our money?
As far as I know we send 10 Billions per month to support them.
McCain/Palin are a continuation of the policy of sending money to them, this is the "change" they will bring to Washington.

Bill Clinton looks like a Saint when compared to George W. Bush. Maybe people will remember the good times of the nineties can only be brought back with the dems!

Chris   September 10th, 2008 10:14 pm ET

Bill Clinton, you need to support Obama with all you have becasue some people are suspicious of your(and Hillary's) agenda. If Obama doesn't make it to the White House many of his supporters will not support Hillary. Just remember that!

Obama supporter but, not an African American.

Hillary then Palin   September 10th, 2008 10:11 pm ET

Why don't they just give up and give it back to the Clintons? Even Joe Biden's admitted. I guess he's tired of fighting anymore. He probably think that it's not worth it by fighting, worrying days and nights it's shorting 10 years of his life already for just a couple of weeks.

deidre   September 10th, 2008 10:11 pm ET

Don't do it Bill! We know what you really think! Country before party!!!!!!!

Bill Clinton has lost all credibility in our eyes. He was caught in a straight out lie on television to the nation. He preyed on an intern who he was supposed to be mentoring. That is down right criminal. Think of him with his pants down doing the intern when you see him with Barak. Slimeball!

Obama has to have props to survive in this world. Imagine. Calling on Bill to help him out. Give me a break

Bill, Obama has a funny name, certainly not presidential and he is risky. I am scared of him as well.

He has called me names and I think he calls women a barnyard name.

Imagine he has the courage to continue this race.

Obama risky. McCain will protect our values and our country.

Becky, Midwest   September 10th, 2008 10:00 pm ET

If you are going to engage on this blog, can we have an English lesson?

There – Their – They're
Your – You're
Know how to use the problem word in context of your comment.

And Pascal, just because I am a Hillary supporter voting for McCain, it's not because I do not want to vote for a "black" man (he's actually bi-racial). It's because I don't want to vote for an inexperienced, zero accomplishment man, black, white, purple or otherwise. And the more you wacko Obamabots calls us racists, the less likely we are going to change our minds anytime soon and vote for Obama. It's not racism, it's the lack of experience, accomplishments and judgement. That's why I can't vote for Obama. Race has nothing to do with it.

Jorge   September 10th, 2008 10:00 pm ET

Somebody better tell Bill not to use the word "lipstick." It's been copyrighted by the McCain/Palin campaign (aka THE CAMPAIGN TO NOWHERE).

Evil spirit   September 10th, 2008 9:59 pm ET

No way Democrats!!!!

The more you bring out the Clintons the more you make Hillary’s supporters mad because they remembered how Hillary was treated. The Clintons has been disrespected, calling names by the Obama's supporters. It's too late to heal the wounded. Some of Hillary's supporters are done with Democrats Party this election. You have to Keep your words since you said you don't need the Clintons help. After you spited out its sting to swallow it.

I feel really bad for America. They are about to get fooled again by McCain and Palin. When gas is $7.00 a gallon and homes are being lost and we are still sitting in a war costing us $10B a day – remember that you had an opportunity to stop it – but because you were so taken by Ms. Palin – you got FOOLED again.

America is not in the book of Revelation in the Bible and now I know why – McCain and Palin are going to send us belly up -

Please Please please stop all this backstabbing in politics. We the people of the United States only want a strong leader that we can trust in getting our country back in shape in every area. We are all tired of all the snard, unnecessary remarks that we all know is part of politics.
Just tell us what their plans are in getting things going the right way and stop all the non sense. Is their anyone out there with a mature mind that will truely listen to the people and get things accomplished.
Please stop all the non sense and just do what is right. Don't forget you people running for President & V.Pres are also americans.

IT ONLY TOOK OBAMA 2 YEARS IN THE SENATE TO SEE THAT THE THE COUNTRY WAS IN BAD SHAPE AND IT TOOK McCAIN WHAT 23 YEARS TO FIGURE IT OUT. YEAH AND THE 36 BLACK PEOPLE AT THE REBUBLICAN CONVENTION WOW , IF YOU THINK THAT AMERICA HAS ONLY 36 BLACK PEOPLE , THEN YOU ARE SADLY MISTAKEN , McCain record on any black issue in this country is obvious , he does not care , this is his last chance for him to be president and he is playing all the dirty games he can , but the public is very much involved in this election and in November we will show the repbublicans what's what.

Ramesh Shrestha   September 10th, 2008 9:49 pm ET

This is th eparty in unity. I have never admired President Clinton than this time. He is a man of honor. Forget what happened in the primary. It is a part of the political game and no one can claim exclusion of it. What happened between Romney and McCain during the primary. What kind of vicious negarive attacks did Romney air against McCain, and you saw what happened in St. Paul. Now you see, America, the McCain-Palin mix fis an unnatural, unholy union. This mix has no consideration of the fate and future of America, it is totally politically motivated. If McCain dared, he could have vetted Romney. No matter how stupid Romney is, he could have made some case for the economy. Now, Palin needs to take Economics 101 to understand the basics of economy. What a shame. Is this woman ready to be our commander-in-chief ? This is the question American should be asking with themselves right now, not thinking about hockey, lipstick and ovary.

ObamaBiden mix is the holy union of change.

mrsingh   September 10th, 2008 9:48 pm ET

America, we've been down this road before: where they tell you there's no difference in the candidates/Parties, then the Republicans get in & what do they do to the economy, international affairs, environment, our pocketbooks, our American image?! Please don't fall for this again & regret it later! You've all bear witness these long miserable 8 years! It's time for big time change! Don't fall for this again & again!

Do you remember the Clinton years of economic boom! Those times only come with Democrats-go read your history especially during Depression: who rescued America from Hoovervilles? Roosevelt, a Democrat, that is! Do you think if Gore or Kerry were president we'd have all the mess we have now? Absolutely Not!

Look/listen to the people that tell you there's no difference in the parties so they're voting independent: they're all pretty much well-off & only confusing & shattering your hope for a new America! It's very sinister what those people are doing! Don't fall for it!

Let's Back Oprah‏   September 10th, 2008 9:45 pm ET

The Republican National Committee women are planning to boycott Oprah's show beginning Monday, Sept. 8, to try and force her to put Sarah Palin on her show. They say since she had Obama on, she should put Palin on. Even if you don't watch Oprah or don't agree with some of her views, we have to pull together on this.

Watch Oprah every day for the next two weeks or as long as they boycott. If you can't watch it in person, set your DVR's or whatever and record it. We need to help Oprah keep her ratings up while they are boycotting. Please resend this to all in your e-mail list.

Close the deal yourself, you're a big boy now.

Enough is Enough   September 10th, 2008 9:38 pm ET

I recently took several surveys to see whether or not I am a democrat or republican. All surveys showed that I am a conservative – republican. Because I have never voted before, I am trying to decide on which party to join. After some of the racial comments and ignorant slams, I am not joining the republican party. It seems that everything that comes out of this party's mouth is racially driven. From Muslim comments to suggesting Obama should go back to Kenya to calling Obama – Osama. Grow up people.

I am going to register as an independent and make my decision on who I am going to vote for closer to the election. Enough of nasty politics and misleading tactics! Time out for this stuff. You are only turning people off.

Mina   September 10th, 2008 9:36 pm ET

Don't do it Bill.

By the way Pascal, I support Hillary. I don't support Obama. That doesn't make me racist (that would be really weird seeing as I am black), that makes me moderate and sensible, and unwilling to throw my trust over to someone who hasn't proven themself capable of being president.

oldsoldierboy   September 10th, 2008 9:26 pm ET

Hold onto your hats folks. A new scandal on Palin is on the horizon and will soon break. Email gate. Apparently Palin refuses to release thousands of emails citing executive privilege only problem she courtesy copied her husband who is not a government official. I'm sure there is more to come.

Sounding Off   September 10th, 2008 9:25 pm ET

What's the republicans' problem with lipstick? McSame used the same phrase against Hillary. Now McSame is calling foul because it was used to describe his policies. Well rotten fish are still rotten fish even disguised with the McBush/Palin package.

BTW, pitbulls have a hard enough life without Palin insulting them by comparing herself to them – with or without lipstick.

Wait 'til we get a hold of all the truth behind Bush's shut down of the UK's secret plan to capture terrorists leading back to the caves in Afghanistan. Bush agreed to wait for the UK to finish gathering evidence, but then used the information purely for political gain. The end result is that the UK did not have the time it needed to gather enough evidence, so only a few of the 20 or so captured will stay in prison. Way to go Bush – as usual – only out for your own interest.

And people want McSame to continue these underhanded tactics?

And how can anyone making less than 250K per year, really think that McSame cares about them? Are you that blind or just that prejudice against ethnic groups?

Vincie   September 10th, 2008 9:22 pm ET

AFter what Obama and his campaign did to Hillary and Bill Clinton, I would tell obama to go you know where. Obama is probably one of the dirtiest politician that there is. He lets those lies fly, and then he will say he knew nothing about them. The guy will do anything to be president, not because he wants to do something for the American people, but just to swell his own ego. Read his history. He never ran against anyone, in Chicago, Illinois, while running for the senate in IL, all of a sudden his opponents divorce papers were released, they were suppost to be sealed. The rep Senator dropped out and Obama ran against a nobody from another state.

Obama speech writers should probably just write down word for word exactly what Bill needs to say. We all know he's a bit of a loose cannon (Hillary herself, had to have him on a tight leash), and the reps will be waiting to pounce on anytthing he says.

So, careful Bill! You could cause more damage than help.

All I see on every political new agency is the same thing over and over again. People leaving their opinions on this presidential race and yet CNN and a few other says that the polls tells us that the race is close.I see the majority of people against the GOP and yet they keep telling us that McCain/Palin are ahead. I don't believe a word of it. Just read what people are saying. Talk to people and they say the same. They are fed up with Bush and McCain and want change. From all this I can honestly say come November, it will be a onesided victory for Obama/Biden

I thought John McCain was looking for a VP, now it turns out that he was really looking for a new mommy.

Donna from Colorado Springs   September 10th, 2008 9:08 pm ET

Bill Clinton really needs to get his butt out there and deflect all the negativity thrown at Obama by campaigning honestly for him. He needs to show the country what kind of person McBush really is.

steve dumford, Scotts valley ca.   September 10th, 2008 9:07 pm ET

The person that Obama should have campaiging with him is Hillary............as his vice presidential nominee. Actually, if the incredibly dumb Dems. leadership hadn't rairoaded all the superdelegates to be for Obama, Hillary would have been in her rightful place, as the presidential nominee and she would be way ahead of McCain by now.

But if Obama had chosen Hillary as VP, McCain wouldn't have chosen the lightning rod Palin and this election would be a slam dunk for the Dems.

I think that if "judgment" is an issue here, Obama sure didn't have it in this case.
P.S.–Thanks to Joe Biden for defending Hillary today.

Ben Fiorenza   September 10th, 2008 9:07 pm ET

When oh when is McCain going to talk about the issues and stop lying to the American public. Obama has been talking change since he got into the race, McCain has talked about change only after everything else he has tried has failed.......

What a change, why doesn't Obama start changes now. He nows the Clinton thing is not working. This is the time to start showing what the lips are saying.

NObama   September 10th, 2008 9:02 pm ET

17 months of attacks on Clinton did their job. The attacks on Palin certainly don't seem to be working. (Even though Obama let's his flunkies do the dirty work.)

With the length of the primary season and all the Obama air time, I'm already feeling like I've had 4 years of him. I change the channel when he comes on TV. He's worn out his welcome, maybe that's why America is falling for the "new star."

billy joe jeffries   September 10th, 2008 9:01 pm ET

Rich calling Obama, Osama. your a typical person from the party of white only. No substance. I hope OBAMA does secure a woman's right to choose. Anyone who thinks a vote for Mccain/Palin could somehow help America is Dilusional. To continue to think that America can survive without some sense of diplomacy is ignorant. With so many other non allied countries in possesion of nuclear weapons, and Sarah Palin's Pit bull attitude we will surely see more terrorists attacks on the united states. Vote for the Future of America Vote Obama/Biden. The baby killing comment ha.. So let them live in broken homes and when they become threats to society then its ok to kill them Thats Palin's stance seeing as how she supports the DEATH PENALTY!! Hypocrisy at its finest..

Obama is really getting scared because he now asking Bill and Hillary Clinton to do his dirty work for him. He did his best to humiliate them in the primaries and now he wants their help. Look at the way he treated Hillary and now he wants their support. Are they not suppose to be racists? Why would he want them on his side now? They should tell him to go to hell.

McCain & Palin are really getting the democrats upset because they are now seeing that they made a huge mistake by selecting Obama instead of Clinton.

Well we will see Hillary Clinton in 2012.

Please, tell me that the polls are inaccurate. That Americans are not this stupid. That Independents didn't sprint to the Republican ticket based on a woman who has only repeated the same speech (not even written by her nor, for the most part, for her) and has refused to answer a single question. A woman who, every day, we hear irrefutable proof that she has lied, over and over again. (Bridge to Nowhere? Pork-barrel spending? E-bay jet?) The entire world is watching and rolling their eyes at how gullible a good sector of America has become. Think they'll back us the next time we need them?

After all the negative campaigning against Hillary, now she and Bill are needed to haul in the votes.

Hillary should have been the nominee and now the Democratic party is beginning to see the error of the ways.

I also see Biden bowing out of the VP nomination and Hillary stepping in the the position.

Today, he made comments that Hillary may have been a better pick.

If he bows out, that will be political suicide for Obama. It will definitely show his inexperience in not picking the right candidate.

Obama has always needed Clinton and only now he realizes what an idiot he was for trying to cast them out of the party. Bill Clinton is THE democrat. He is the only one that has slayed the great republican war machine twice and lived to tell the tale!

I am still not voting for Obama after what he did to Hillary but good to see he finally recognizes he did wrong.

Clinton Supporter   September 10th, 2008 8:37 pm ET

The problem is that so many voters, including Democrats, just don't like Obama personally. His overwhelming arrogance and treatment of Hillary Clinton was pretty appalling.

Bill will campaign for him because he will campaign for the Democratic ticket. Period.

When McCain and his gang go after Obama over Palin, everyone remembers his obnoxious behavior and unearned sense of entitlement.

They don't know if they really like Palin, but Obama is UNlikable that it's real easy to vote against him and to believe the accusations of sexism that McCain and Co. are dining out on these days.

Former Hillary Supporter Voting 4 McCain/Palin   September 10th, 2008 8:37 pm ET

CM   September 10th, 2008 8:36 pm ET

It is a very good thing that Bill & Hillary Clinton are, as usual, campaigning onf the behalf of Loyal Americans. The Democratic Party, my party, are fighting an uphill battle for the 2008 election. I am firmly convinced that Hillary Clinton should be running for the Office of the President of the United States. Short of that Obama should have picked her for the V.P. slot.

I am so tired of hearing the supporters of the Republican Party bad mouthing the Democrats and trying to make the clear, intelligent liberal position a 4 letter word! Wake up conservative americans and see how your administration has defiled the American name here and abroad.

Message to Barack Obama

Senator Obama, I believe in you and I have supported you with my vote and with my hard earned money. However I will not continue to donate to your campaign unless you show America that you will fight back. Stand up and fight like your life depends on it or better yet like my life.

Please post

Chris   September 10th, 2008 8:14 pm ET

I was hoping Bill would have come out sooner and help with all of this crap that McCain is pushing out. I realize that Obama needs to stay focused on the issues but how can he if McCain is always pushing the sexist crap. We need to have Bill on point helping dish it out.

Look the bottom line is this. The Republican Party hates African Americans. The AP is reporting that Palin has used the N word several times. Not sure of the validity but I think it shows that the far religious right has a problem with other races in this country. The GOP first said Obama was a muslim, that didnt work. Then they said he was too young and lacked enough expierence. Had he chosen Hillary they would have mocked him for that. Did you know that Palin was once a part of a survivalist/supremecy group? We are just touching the tip of this iceberg.

I think if Senator McCain wanted a religious person on the ticket he should of chose Ex-Governor Mike Huckabee, who also is a Bible Scholar. Mrs. Palin's religion has a different authority from the Bible.

I have to admit Governor Palin is alot better looking that Mr. Huckabee but his religion is more mainstream evangelical.

I am also shocked that he called me bitter.

I thought Bill was a RACIST. I suppose they are going to share the same jet plane? I don't know why he wants to waste Bill's time. Still looking for that unity? After the way they treated him they are bold to call him to duty. But oh yeah when you get slapped in the face you are suppose to turn the other check. Question to the McCain camp.

Why are you spending millions of money on ads from your funds on petty stuff? It shows the world how wasteful you are. Sarah Palin should have been able to tell you that. Poor judgement is showing and it will get you nowhere. ..

Nowhere to nowhere leads to nowhere

McCain just stands there and smiles. He doesn't say anything. Lets Palin talk and talk and talk. Palin is a liar! Doesn't he want to say what he is going to do for our country. Obama says alot of things he is going to better our nation in education, poor people, tax savings, etc. McCain just stands there like a bump on a log. Smiles his silly smile. Good God save our nation with Obama!

Note to the Obama Campaign:

Why are you letting the McCain campaign and Sarah Palin sway the majority of women in this country to the McCain bandwagon.

The republicans have an ABYSMAL record when it comes to issues important to women.

HERE'S AN IDEA: GET HILLARY CLINTON, MICHELLE OBAMA, and JILL BIDEN to crisscross the country to speak on WOMEN'S issues.

WHY are you letting PALIN and MCCAIN define what is important to women ???!!!

Key government officials overseeing the energy industry had sex with, used illegal drugs with, and accepted gifts from representatives of oil and gas companies they were supposed to be regulating, according to a report issued Wednesday by the Department of the Interior's inspector general.

A report says government officials accepted gifts from oil and gas company employees.

The $5.3 million investigation "uncovered recreational marijuana and cocaine use" by "a handful" of Interior Department staff, and found two federal employees "engaged in brief sexual relationships with representatives from companies doing business" with the department.

Say what you want about former president Bill Clinton, he did a heck of a job for the average american, we were all better off then and I am so glad he will be on the campaign trail with Barack. I have felt so helpless these past few days watching politics spiral down with McCain using swift boat tactics. I am old enough to have watched democrats win and republicans win over the years, I can take the loses, but to win by lies and manipulative methods such as we've seen these last days, it makes me wonder have we all lost our sense of decency as a country?

Comment to previous article: Biden: Clinton 'Might Have Been a Better Pick' for VP

To me this is a BREAKING NEWS!!!

I was undecided. But now looks like Dem VP nominee disagrees with Presidential nominee's judgment and decision to pick him. Hmm..... Something very, very wrong here. I cannot not support someone who doesn't have self confident and cannot stand-up for himself like Joe Biden, and I am just questioning the teamwork spirit between Obama and Joe. I am pro-gun control, fiscally moderate, but socially conservative. I guess, this will seal my decision to support the other ticket.

Good, and thanks to Bill and Hillary. Please help bring this nasty
campaign back to Obama.

I am appalled at the use of the terms, "Lipstick on a Pig."
John McCain seems to have invented the term. On Chis Matthers,
Hardball, Chris mentioned that John McCain used this against
Hillary when they were campaigning. And John McCain's former
Press Secretary wrote a book named, LIPSTICK ON A PIG.
Personally all I want to learn about is issues. I hate this Padin
thing and can't believe John McCain lets her do all the speaking.
THE DEMOCRATS CANNOT LOSE THIS ELECTION. NO WAY!
