Paul- you PUMAs (in battleground states) that will support McCain..do you honestly think you're greater in amount than OUR newly registered voters, young voters, supporters, and republicans supporting Obama?

I think YOU need a fact check.

NEWSFLASH: Obama's supporters, mainly newly registered, republicans for Obama, and young voters, far outnumber Mccain supporters nationally and county-by-county, state-by-state

Good luck on your landslide loss! Obama 2008!

For one thing I’ve never heard this phrase until Obama used it. When I heard Obama saying this phrase, I took it as an insult towards Palin, because Palin referenced "difference between a soccer mom and pit bull, lip stick".

Obama likely will lose his spot light in the weeks ahead, because of Palin. Biden is a good man, but Obama should have could of picked Hillary as his VP, instead I believe his feeling against Hillary got in his way. Hillary as his VP pick may have helped Obama in a big way!

I'm not going to hide a thing, this race gives me heartburn. I support Barack Obama and am distressed by his drop in the polls. Having said that, McCain's "BIG" lead of two points yesterday has already dropped to one???? In my opinion, that seems like a hype that's already fading.

The polls are close because the pollsters are polling the same old people (people w/ landline phones, people that aren't on the Do Not Call list, people that have voted in the last election.....). So, those young people that are voting for the first time, those people like me who do not have a landline, and those people like my parents whose landline phone # is on the Do Not Call list.........WE ARE NEVER POLLED!!! And the odds are that the majority of these voters are supporting OBAMA / BIDEN!!!!!

PS .... What are the chances John McCain will change Washington when he made NO CHANGE in Washington after being in Washington for 27 years?

McCain campaign is so much like Bush/Cheney.. I notice the fact checks and let's see who's telling the truth. The bottom line is this, either so many people did not understand what 911 meant to this country or we did. The repubs, at their convention used pictures of that horrific scene, and for the last years of the republican control, HAVE DONE NOTHING! A STATUE HERE OR THERE! This country is still healing and all the news media, today wanted to talk about is lipstick on the eve of one of the mos tsorrowful days in our history. Shame on you media.

Taking or requesting “pork barrel” monies for state improvements, is neither illegal or immoral.

Lying about taking and requesting the monies is immoral. If you are a Republican, you will have to Google "immoral" for the definition.

We all need to wake up. These polls don't mean anything. The media have to keep things going. I haven't seen a diverse group of people at McCain/Palin there are more than potential hockey Moms in the United States. Of course the poll is going to be close if you call half Democrats and half Republicans. It is sad that Palin is allowing McCain to use her to potentially get in the White House with no power at all when she gets there. McCain is going to do whatever it takes we need to look beyond his words coming out of his mouth. If McCain is elected it will be more of the same. We are failing our children by allowing McCain to play tricks on us. Please remember if Republicans are elected it will still be the same white house staff and our foreign countries really don't like us very much and do you really think McCain got the social skills and ability to change that or do he just want to continue fight everyone. THINK ABOUT IT!!!! Palin need to wake up.

I get the feeling that the election is being given more importance than what might actually be accomplished by those who get elected. I don't care who spent time in a POW camp or a south-side community center or an Alaskan beauty pageant. I don't care who did or didn't have an abortion. I don't care what their wives and husbands do or don't do. All I care about is who cares more about the American people than they do about their own vanity...including their personal ideologies. And as far as I'm concerned, right now, all the candidates are tied for last place in that race.

Polls don't mean a thing. They change day by day, hour by hour. We should be focused on issues and not polls. And if we're discussing issues ask yourself a question: Do the top 1% of people earning over $600,00.00 really need a tax cut? According to McCain, they do while everyone else gets higher taxes. I don't know about you but I don't need higher taxes, I need a tax cut and I'm not in the top 1%. If McCain wins, I guess I won't be getting that break.

Now that the "Bounce" is ending, it seems Palin is not all she has been pushed to be. She can pull in a croud but she has no experience to be in the White house. Now the Mc Cain campaign must start answering the real questions on Palin as well as begin to deal with the fact that the Mc Cain ticket is in fact four more years of Bush.

I'm confused!! Has the Republican candidate changed? All we hear about now is Palin...what happen to McCain. The Republican party and the media are making this campaign about gender. I'm a Black Woman and Im supporting OBAMA, not because of race, but because I truly believe he and his administration will do what's best for the majority of people of this country...you know those of us who are feeling this economic hell.

Palin is truly not ready to be President, not with one term as a governor of a state that is how small? Come on people, FOCUS.

DOESNT SHE SEE SHE'S BEING USED?

My God folks. Are the 46% of the people polled around the country brain dead? Do these people listen to Palin and McCain give the same message every day about nothing? Palin reads the same lines every single day that she has been around. The airplane on Ebay (distortion), bridge to nowhere (distortion), ear mark spending (lies), lipstick (diversion nonsense), on and on. If this country elects these nut cases I will have no sympathy for the poor, neglected non-voters. How in God's name can the people that voted for George Bush pull the lever for McCain and Palin? What a disaster that election was. That bunch has made this country a third rate nation in my opinion. When the White House is fumigated and Obama moves in, then I will again put my hand on my heart when the national anthem is played.

Didn't anyone else read about these stupid polls yesterday?
They changed their sampling!!!!! The three big ones and the results are definitely questionable.
Ignore them.
Do what's right. Talk to your neighbors, read about the real issues and make an informed vote!

News will never be entirely unbiased in either way. Ever. Deal with it.

Let's get away from who called whom what, supposedly, alledgedly.

Let's get away from partisanship, and belittling someone because their emblem is a different animal.

As I read all the comment boards on CNN, I realise why people my age don't vote.

We're sick and tired of "adults" acting like 3rd graders, name calling and picking on everyone else.

Pathetic.

Paul

You give the PUMAs a lot of credit, but the reality is it is fear and racism that are keeping McCain in the race. My neighbor has a lot of medical issues was not able to get on SSI had a brother that was gay lost a brother in Vietnam finding it hard to fill the oil tank for this winter and is college educated supports McCain. Her rational to voting for McCain is that Hamas will be dancing in the streets. This fear is shared by someone with this background is a hypocrite

Biden truly deeply loved his wife. As contrasted by McBush who dumped his wife after several adulterous affairs to run off with a young rich heiress. But lets all get upset by a cliche,'Lipstick on a Pig'. A cliche that McBush is shown on video saying himself.
The McBush / Paleny ticket is the saddest thing that has ever happened to the GOP. The very best thing that could happen to the Republicans would be to lose this election and re group in 2012. A GOP victory would be a disaster that might well doom the GOP forever.

I loved it when Joe Biden said during the primaries that Obama was not ready to be the President and when asked again, he said I stand by my statement. What a change that is, I have to ask, is that change I can believe in. I guess Obama got ready to be President in a few short months and Biden changed his mind when he was tapped for VP. I wonder why Obama is taking on Sarah Palin, I find it curious that a Presidentail candidate would openly discuss the opposing VP candidate, I guess that is part of the change message too.

Gas will jump back up to over $4.00 a gallon, food prices will double , only the rich will beble to afford healthcare. Americans need to be prepared to loose their life savings, 401 Ks will drop like a ton of bricks, BUT, one thing will be for sure, our children will NOT have sex education in school, we will drill offshore, and abortion of any kind (medical or nonmedical) will be banned. these are the things America thinks are important. If suck it up American and quit complaining. . . we get what we vote for

I am tired of hearing political ads that destort the truth; I am talking about the McCain ad that states that while in the Senate in Ill. Obama wanted to teach kindergarden children "about sex before they could read". For those who take these ads as the truth they will be asking themselves how they could vote for someone that would support such a bill. In truth the bill that Obama supported was to teach children about how to protect themselves from adults that would take advanatage of them. For those of us who work with children who have suffered sexual abuse, we understand that it is important for children to understand that no adult has the right to touch them in a way that makes them uncomfortable. The very fact that the McCain people would take such an important bill, one that could save a lot of children from being abused and make it into something ugly is not only unfair, it is a lie and the McCain should come out and admit that it was unfair to take a bill that was this important and make it look like Obama simply wanted to give kindergarden children sex education. If McCain or Obama wants to attack the other than at least tell the truth, all of the truth and not just the part that makes the other person look bad.

I really do hope that this simply a blip on the radar. Palin seems to have become the media darling of the hour, but I think as people hear more and more about the continuation of the present economic policies, I am really hoping that people will become disenchanted with the thought of McCain as president. Due to Bush economic policies, my husband who retired, had to go back to work. We are hoping that if Obama is elected president, we might be able to see some relief and that he can retire for good. By the way, the stimulus package that was sent out, we used to buy propane for the winter and banked the rest.

Biden is a decent man. When some one is giving him credti over Clinto, he simply said that Cinton is better too. That is what decent men reply.
Obama and Biden are going to be the President & Vice President of America.
If you are decent human beings, I am sure you will vote for them.
You and I can make a contribution in that regard.

Think about this - McCain has gone up in the polls by giving up his integrity. He's repeatedly lied about Obama's positions (such as taxes and energy policy). He's slandered Obama (implied he was unpatriotic and would prefer to lose a war to win an election [what does that even mean?}). And now he's going even farther - pretending that Obama wants to sex-up kindergarteners, by grossly distorting the purpose of a bill that was aimed at preventing child molestation!!! So where has McCain's integrity gone? And since he's gaining in the polls by going so negative - what message does that give to future campaigns? If the R's win again this way, just think how nasty future campaigns are going to be. So keep strong - vote Obama- and direct the focus back to the issues.

The polls are different all over the news, internet, papers, etc. Nov 4th will tell the story. In the next week or so the McCain campaign will still be telling the same lies about e-bay, moose, lipstick, pitbulls, that freaking bridge and earmarks (which by the way she kept the money for)

I was reading through the comments yesterday and right as CNN closed it there were 178 comments 19 were positive for McCain but just like Palin and McCain speeches there were no substance. They main were saying "be scared Obama" "the hockey mom is in town, etc.

AGAIN NOTHING ABOUT THE ISSUES, JUST AS CHILDISH AS MY 3RD GRADER!

Racism is alive and well in America. It may not be being taught in many churches, but I think there are many churches that do nothing to change the minds and change the attitudes of their ministry.

I'm still amazes me that people (women) pick gender over experience. If you were a real Hillary supporter you can CLEARLY see the difference in the two. Welcome to American Idol for President. Where is that Ryan guy?
