Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin are featured in an Alabama Republican's new ad.

(CNN) – In yet another sign of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s popularity with the conservative base of the Republican Party, Jay Love, the Republican candidate for Alabama’s 2nd Congressional District, has released a new ad that features the governor along with Sen. John McCain.

In the 30-second spot, entitled “Differences,” Palin and McCain are juxtaposed against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who Love refers to as a “San Francisco liberal” in the ad.

“There are real differences in this campaign,” Love says looking directly into the camera. “I’m supporting pro-lifers John McCain and Sarah Palin,” he says as an image of the GOP ticket appears on screen. “My opponent isn’t,” Love says as images of Sen. Barack Obama and Bobby Bright, Love’s Democratic opponent, appear.

“I’ll never sell out to the liberals,” Love says as the spot ends. “I’m the only one who will stand up to for our conservative values in Washington when it really counts.”

Since the announcement of her selection as McCain’s VP pick, Palin has galvanized and energized conservatives behind McCain’s candidacy. Love is the first congressional candidate to use Palin in an ad, according to a press release issued by Love’s campaign Wednesday.

somebody needs to remind the American people that McCAIN is running for president not Palin. Heck – someone needs to remind McCain he is the one running for president.

Deb in Allentown – who is the bitter person here? Not McCain! Not one bitter word out of his mouth. You people just can't stand that your little media messiah has lost so much popularity!! He's a loser and the quicker you realize it, the better! Your boy is a loser, pouter, evil liar!

Go home NOBAMA!

McCain/Palin is the ONLY WAY TO GO.

Deception, misdirection and propaganda, this is the Republican way. The Democrats must get a backbone and start calling the media out. I watch and listen to the media repeat this stuff over and over for the Republicans free of charge. When will the Democrats step up and ask for equal treatment?

Oh Boy!!!???   September 10th, 2008 4:32 pm ET

More of the same…even at state levels. JEEZ

By the way…If the JP ticket should win and we have a disagreement with Russia, will we show a bear chasing down Palin? The Rooskies are trying to destroy her. They are sexist and mean!

Can you see Palin talking to the Isrealis? "Well, if you Jews were christians, none of this stuff would be happening to you." "So you might as well be a muslim so we can kill all of you with a clean conscience."

You know the difference between a Pit Bull and a VP?

Clean Papers.

McCain/Palin should be ashamed of the kind of campaign that they have chosen to run. The people of Alabama are a lot smarter than the Republicans give them credit for and are tired of being used and abused by the right-wingers.

Put the spotlight on Biden and show how Biden will help Obama change American. Also, to highlight McCain’s weaknesses.
So what’s the real deal, McCain picked Palin not because he is worried about women, but to distract voters from Biden. McCain was worried about Biden getting media attention. Biden has been in DC longer. Who else in the campaign know McCain better then Biden? Who else can challenge his record, or reveal whatever else he may know about McCain over the years. Question is, what does Biden know???

Melody NY   September 10th, 2008 4:29 pm ET

Palin is a hypocrite and crybaby. Her ultra conservative pals are freaking out because they know the American people will find out what she is really like. I used to respect John McCain for being different, but after this, he is no different than the rest of the lot. Palin is a joke of a pick for VP and the Dems are not "running scared" as the Repugs all claim, they are disgusted that McCain would make a mockery of the election the way he has with a nut job like her. She should go back to Alaska and bury her crazy ideas in a very large snowbank that never melts.

CHINCHIN   September 10th, 2008 4:29 pm ET

I AM SURPRISED MCCAIN DOES NOT HAVE PALIN SIT IN HIS LAP, USUALLY THAT'S HOW IT IS DONE WITH PUPPETS, OR ARE THEY USING THE OLD TECHNIQUE OF STRINGS IN THE ROOF.

Sherry   September 10th, 2008 4:20 pm ET

Your vote choice can be answered by one fundamental question — are you better off today then you were eight years ago? If you say yes to this war that should have never been waged (over 4,000 dead and over 30,000 injured or mamed); yes to continuing to raise the price of gas; yes to continuing to raise the price of food; yes to someone who pays themselves while they are living at home; yes to someone who has allowed the State to pay for her children and husband's travel expenses; yes to more of the same; yes, because you just can't bring yourself to vote for an African-American candidate and would rather continue with more of the same — then your choice is clear. My choice — NO WAY, NO HOW, NO McCAIN!!!

I think it's funny that the old man heard one thing when Obama was clearly saying something different. Is there something wrong with his hearing? What will happen when "President" McCain misinterprets an innocent comment made by a leader of another country? Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb…

McCain's an idiot who obviously can't hear what's really being said. Does he need an interpreter? Seems strange that he can understand Sarah Palin's accent, but he can't understand Obama's.

I would think that he should have jumped on the "old stinky fish" comment before jumping on the pig with lipstick comment.

katy   September 10th, 2008 4:17 pm ET

The McCain/Palin campaign needs to get out of the junior high mentality.
Offended at a lipstick comment? C'mon – grow up. It would be nice if the campaign was focused on WHAT THEY ARE GOING TO DO for us instead of what their opponent ISN'T going to do.

Time has come for the Americans to really look themselves in the eye and search their souls to get this country out of the mess created by the republicans since 2000. Do you really want another 4 or 8 years of bad economy and what do you think will happen to the rating of USA. It will become 3rd world. We are already knocking that door of becoming 3rd world country by not investing in education or research.
McCain Palin is not the ticket that we need.

Oct. 23, 1992, in a ceremony in the White House Rose Garden, President Bush — with John McCain standing beside him — said: “Today, finally, I am convinced that we can begin writing the last chapter in the Vietnam War.”
McCain believes the last chapter has ended in Vietnam, and the last chapter for any POW/MIA in Vietnam. Vets and their families should really look how John McCain feels about you.

McCain: Clinton's healthcare plan is 'still a pig'

Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, criticized New York Sen. Hillary Clinton's healthcare plan after unveiling his own Thursday in Des Moines.
DES MOINES, Iowa (CNN) — Drawing comparisons between New York Sen. Hillary Clinton's current healthcare plan and the one she championed in 1993, Arizona Sen. John McCain joked Thursday, "I think they put some lipstick on the pig, but it's still a pig."

Why did Obama have to deliver all the attacks from his campain? Where is his vice Presidential candidate Biden? The sharp attacks, especially those personnel and character related attacks, should be delivered by other people, not Obama. In the recent days, Obama looks like an attack dog. On the other hand, McCain is taking a high road. His acceptance speech was all about the country, post partisan, and work together. In the recent few days, he rarely attacked Obama himself, except some policy specific attacks. McCain left his VP candidate and other people of his campain to take sharp shots.

This does not look good for Obama. Joe Biden is hiding somewhere?

McSame doesn’t know anything about economy and he's not even an honorable person. he just hired this woman to distract people from important issues ,since they don't have anything to say for their failed economical policies of the last 8 years.

Obama is not just running against McCain — he is running against the Republican machine that will continue to destroy this country.

We stand teetering on the edge of NATIONAL financial insolvency — banks like Lehman and others are at the edge of failing — one big oil shock or terrorist attack from a collapsing stock market — with Russia and China showing reluctance to finance our debts — we don't actually MAKE anything in this country anymore — [just look a the 'made in' tags on everything in your department store] — and the consumer wealth created by rising home prices is on the wane — health care system is broken —–

and now we have a 'Brownie' type featherweight VP candidate pretending as though she is a serious political leader for McCain????

We have had ENOUGH. ENOUGH. ENOUGH. ENOUGH.

Hey – Just noticed something-

Arizona, Alaska, and Alabama all have some of the worst educational ratings in the country. Illinois, Delaware and New York are all above the national averages. Draw your own conclusions.

For those of you in Arizona, Alaska, and Alabama, the conclusion is that Republican's don't do a good job in regards to education.

McCain laid the groundwork for proposing "private" education in his convention speech, something about "needing competition." Look at the private prisons, private health care… how's that working out? We're even trying to privatize the military (Halliburton ring a bell?) If you have children or grandchildren, nieces, nephews, young cousins, etc, you need to vote for Obama/Biden, or we'll open the flood gates for cut rate, low rent, poor education.

About McCain,
As a veteran of a war myself, I still have not heard or seen anybody in the media bringing up the subject of the possible PTSD that in Mr

I believe an investigation into this matter is in order, after all, this is an election year and we must make sure our next president is not having war flash backs.

So if Obama is winning he is brilliant and represent the American people and change BUT

If Obama (Kerry, Gore) is Losing or lose its because of McCain and or Bush and America is a nation of idiots????

The electoral map is made up of polls that do not up date as often at the daily or weekly. Wait for the delay to settle between them.

Has anyone of you 'smart' voters noticed that the number of undecided voters has been shrinking along with McCains lead???

Your arrogance, ignorance and stupidity is why the Dems keep loosing the Presidential elections.

You would think with all your brains (ha ha how much fantasy can one person have) you could beat a country full of idiots??????

You loose because you (here is a newsflash for ya guys) are the ignorant Americans who blame the winners for your loss but not because they are stupid or losers but because you are ignorant and out of touch SNOBS you confuse that with having a higher intelligence.

You confuse your elite attitudes with being elite. Intelligence isn't your advantage is the yolk around your necks. Your false sense of superiority is your down fall again and again.

Your problem is not that you are NOT smarter than the rest of us!!!!!!!!!! You thinking you are is.

You sit in your self made and perpetuating Democratic ivory towers and fain a higher level of brilliance, yet always fail to see your shine is not from any intellectual superiority but your overinflated sense of importance.

I must have missed, on any IQ test I have ever taken, the check box for party affiliation.

You loose over and over again and your fragile egos are only stroked and healed by your silly and stupid notions that you loss is because more dumb people voted and the smart didn't.

Nevermind that McCain criticized Hillary using that same "lipstick on a pig" phrase. We didn't hear all this fake outrage from her campaign. Then we had Palin compare herself to a pit bull during her convention speech, portraying herself to be tough and ready to play in the big leagues. And now the McCain campaign is playing the "she's just a hapless victim" card. Now that the GOP has its own celebrity (running with McFame who loves bit parts in movies or a chance to be on Saturday Night Live), it's no wonder they run from the real issues and have reverted to the same, nasty culture wars Bush perfected. Typical Republican hypocrisy.

Win or lose, it is great to have someone of character and integrity running for national office. Palin is truly a breath of fresh "Alaskan" air in the polluted stench of Washington DC politics. Oh and it is funny to hear Obama talk about change when he has now returned to same ole slash and bash dirty politics of his liberal predecessors (Kerry, Gore and Dukaksis). Obama is a liberal wolf in sheeps clothing and more and more of his ugly underbelly is beginning to show. This guy is getting desperate along with his slick and smiley running mate Joe "foot in his mouth" Biden.

Ads in Alabama are already unique to politics. I live in Alabama and watch poverty increase education decline, and intolerance rise. Yet people still only vote wedge issues in this state. People will forget about the economy and education and vote for who is pro-life or anti-gay marriage. Somehow people in this state think a President will be able to decide this issue. This is why our education is terrible in the state. We just had a 13% reduction in education, but that seems not to matter. Maybe this is what the Republicans want keep us behind so they can get ahead. Why so many red southern states trail in education, because wedge issues are dominate. Vote against your self interest, because people are not taught how the system works. The President will not be able to change wedge issues, so WAKE UP!!! People are trapped in poverty and we are ill-informed.

McCain and Palin say, we are not really Republicans. We are Maverick Republicans. We never lie and lie until everyone thinks it is true. We have high moral standards call Rovian tactics.

In addition, McCain and Palin have rewritten the definition to the word Maverick. Now it means, Yes, we are Out-of-Control Republicans and we really damaged America, and we are going to change our dismal performance by doing the same old thing.

Yes, we stood up to our Out-of-Control Republican friends by:
1. Working with lobbyists, telling them we do not need to understand our economy as lobbyists knows best.
2. By saying yes, we need to start a war in the wrong place, and the only foreign policy knowledge we need to know is that Alaska is next to Russia because we Republicans do not think things out, we simply bomb our way to what we want.
3. By saying yes, we give tax breaks to companies to encourage out sourcing jobs to make profit over American National Interests.
4. By saying yes, we give big corporations tax breaks because they will have the American people in mind when they invest overseas.
5. By saying yes, we like the name “No Child Left Behind,” because it is catchy and we can work toward dismantling public education so we can impose our beliefs, like creationism, abstinence sex education only and that what ever we do to other people, it is god’s will.
6. By saying yes, we will appoint authoritarian Supreme Court justices to overrule Roe vs Wade and throw women back to the dark ages.

Do not get fooled again. McCain is the McSame Out-of-Control Republican despite the Goldilocks’ outfit.

Americans,
I suggest we prepare ourselves for some funny business at the polls for this presidential election also, because if this is the best the Rethuglicans can do, they're going to have to thug their way into the White House just as they did in '00 & '04. A shame our government won't entertain the idea of using different voting methods. Get ready for electronic vote flipping, get ready for minorities getting stopped at the door with some sorry excuse on why they can't vote, get ready for power outages at polling locations, get ready for ballot boxes missing in action. This is all they're going to have left. Is anyone buying any of this fake campaign? Buying any of this hypocrisy? First they're criticizing all the attention Obama was getting but now they're embracing all the attention Palin is getting. What's the difference? I believe in the American people & I know the people will not be fooled by these kindergartenish tactics. What's next, are the Rethuglicans going to take their ball & go home. Go on home. As long as your address isn't 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

It is appalling to me that anyone could seriously consider Palin a candidate as VP. You talk about desperate… This is insulting to think that superficial qualities is all that is needed to win this election. An entitled child who is spoiled and always gets his way often has a superior sense of self above all others, and often is filled with a sense of, well, entitlement.

Democrats (take your pick, Hillary, Barry-O) feel they are ENTITLED to the presidency. It is THEIRS, d*mmit!

Now, take those entitled children and introduce the word "no," and watch them throw themselves to the floor, and howl and scream and gnash their teeth in temper tantrums. Rage, I tell you, rage!

Sarah Palin and an energized CONSERVATIVE party represent the parent telling those petulant entitled children NO. The party of the children simply cannot handle being told no.

This explains the insane rantings and middle-aged media temper tantrums of people who for the past 24 months have been holding themselves out as the grown ups. How quickly the delicate flower wilts.

I love it when the Obamamites scream it is about the issues!!!! It is actually pretty funny. Mainly because their guy preaches on change, but doesn't think the people need to know what kind of change..wait, there is "change we can believe in" but come on!!! Has he really stated any issues. We know he would still oppose the surge, even after he admitted it worked. He really hasn't stated anything new other than the Dem mantra, free this free that, down with the "rich" who have actually done well with their lives. And then pull the race card, and say they weren't the ones who did it, even Ole Billy Bob Clinton said the Obama campaign pulled it on him! Just keep them coming Obamamites. "I know how to work across the aisle," the Arizona senator said Tuesday in Ohio, insisting that Obama had "never reached across the aisle on any major issue in the time he's been in the Senate." John McCain LYING once again on the stump today……

Some of Senator Obama's accomplishments in the Illinois Senate:
• Introduced legislation reforming ethics and health care laws.
• Sponsored a law increasing tax credits for low-income workers, negotiated welfare reform, and promoted increased subsidies for childcare.
• Obama supported Republican Governor Ryan's payday loan regulations and predatory mortgage lending regulations aimed at averting home foreclosures
• Sponsored a bill to monitor racial profiling.
• Voted on over 3000 bills. Voting present is a common practice in the Illinois Senate if you want to keep the bill alive to make some corrections. He only voted present less than 1% of the time.

US Senate:
• Introduced "Lugar–Obama," which expanded the Nunn–Lugar cooperative threat reduction concept to conventional weapons
• Co sponsored the "Coburn–Obama Transparency Act," which authorized the a web portal to make congress spending public information.
• Introduced follow-up legislation: Strengthening Transparency and Accountability in Federal Spending Act of 2008.
• Sponsored legislation requiring nuclear plant owners to notify state and local authorities of radioactive leaks.
• Co-sponsored the Honest Leadership and Open Government Act, which was signed into law in September 2007.
• Introduced the Iraq War De-Escalation Act of 2007.
• Sponsored the "Iran Sanctions Enabling Act"
• Co-sponsored legislation to reduce risks of nuclear terrorism.
• Sponsored an amendment to provide one year of job protection for family members caring for soldiers with combat-related injuries.

These are just some of Obama’s accomplishments in his short career. Where are the Fact Checks and Snopes on these Republican smears and false rumors which are coming directly from the McCain campaign itself?

New-Dem   September 10th, 2008 3:43 pm ET

The McCain/Palin campaign has become one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen. Lies, smears, pandering, setups, just utter garbage. I used to respect John McCain (a little), but I wouldn't vote for him now if he was the only person running.

Cynthia   September 10th, 2008 3:43 pm ET

It is shameful the kind of campaign that the McCain camp is running. This country has huge problems and it seems to be a game that the McCain is playing instead of talking about the issues. The voters had better for their own sake look at the real issues and the solutions being offered by both side, if any, and make their decision. If they believe in what has happened to this country in the last 8 years and are doing just fine, no problem, vote for McCain. If on the other hand, they have not faired quite as well and have major concerns about the direction the country has gone, vote for Senator Obama. Forget all the spin out there and seriously look at the issues.

You guys are NOT pro-life, Sarah. You are pro-BIRTH. You don't fund health insurance, you don't fund day care, you don't fund great schools.

Maybe that's because you oldest son grew up in a family that doesn't value a college education for their kids. Your pregnant daughter just dropped out high school, along with her boyfriend. The very real consequences of teen pregnancy. Guess no one will be getting a proper education in your family – at least not anytime soon.

They're not "noble." They're not "charming." They're not "living out their (your) religious beliefs." They are sad.

It's easy to be pro-BIRTH when you can charge your kids' expenses to the state of Alaska along with your own. Real governors live in or near the state capital. And they are pro-EDUCATION!

This ticket is a fraud. McCain thinks he's entitled to be President because of his military background. Does that qualify you to be President? And Palin doesn't have a clue what she's doing. If she is so-called ready; why isn't she speaking out on policies and issues? I guess she's too busy being briefed on international issues.

And the sad thing about the McCain/Palin ticket, is that people that really should be seeking change in this country is falling for this bull.

Anonymous   September 10th, 2008 3:41 pm ET

Senator is a war hero and obviously very proud of it. Surprises me a little that the enemy took so many nice pictures of the prisoner in Vietnam . The problem to day is Senator McCain uses the word fight in too many sentences. I think he wants to be a war hero again, if he gets the chance.
Also if one googles the words "military draft" one finds that President Bush used his authority to restore the draft at the wish of the president with or without congressional approval.
If McCain is elected in very short order the USA will be engaged in a few new wars and the draft will be back in place….. If McCain takes on Russia guess what happens …

I lived in Arizona for 40 years and can't think of one thing that MCCain did for that state. Can someone tell me what he did for Arizona where he didn't use an earmark to get the money for his project?
Who is going to get McCain to talk about the changes he plans in order to fix the economy, jobs, education, our standing in the world and how to pull out of Iraq.
McCain and Palin have said the same thing every speach that they have made, they attack Obama but don't expand on their own ideas on how they will fix the Country.

"Do you know why Chelsea Clinton is so ugly? Because Janet Reno is her father." –at a 1998 Republican fundraiser

John McCain a pro-lifer??? He only decided he was a pro-lifer about three months ago. Funny, I sort of thought that was an opinion that most people felt strongly enough about to not change thier mind on a whim.

Listen carefully right-wingers…McCain is just pandering to you to get your vote. He will dismiss you as quick as can be if he is elected.

The past 8 years were just full of lies and deceits, yet you are running to the same ticket. If you ask me, it all comes down to Obama's race. He is still a black man and there are still those people ignorant enough to vote on the basis of color. BY ALL MEANS, TO THOSE WHO HAVE VOTED FOR HIM AND DID NOT SEE HIS RACE, BUT THE POTENTIALS OF LEADERSHIP, I AM SORRY IF THIS COMMENT OFFENDS YOU. It was not directed to you, but we all know that there are still white people in this great nation who would not vote for a black person.

I have always believed that Right Winged conservative Christians will destroy this country. It will fuel bigotry and hatred to minorities who are trustworthy people. Unfortunately, my prediction is coming true (cough, cough George W. Bush.) Right winged Islamic Terrorists are destroying the true side of Islam and everyone says, "they're ruining everything."

Truth is, extremism comes in all forms, Americans. Muslim, Christian, Jewish… etc. etc. ALL evil and has no place in our world. Please, people, vote on the issues. Not the candidate. If you like McCain's policies, that's fine with me. But please, wake up "adults."

Issues, issues, issues!!!!

PUMA 4 HILL   September 10th, 2008 3:38 pm ET

Does everyone want CHANGE? Of course we want change if it's going to be upchange or positive change – not just any kind of change. I am telling you all… the reason this dem cannot support Obama's change is because I've not only witnessed the change he's about but I've done hours and hours of research.

Just look at the primaries. Hillary supporters are NOT in denial that she did not win, contrary to what Obama's supporters claim – Hillary won but the caucus fraud made her lose. If you want Obama as your president you'd better at least know the Chicago politics he's playing…

Check our CAUCUSFRAUD.COM

Really, check it out. I do not trust or want this creep as my president. Hillary was the real winner but she didn't play dirty, cheatful politics.

deborah   September 10th, 2008 3:38 pm ET

McCain is using Rove's diversion tactics. Instead of talking about real issues he would rather get everyone talking about lipstick. Then he doesn't have to answer any hard questions!!

Sarah is a disgrace to this country, she wants to be able to make fun of community organizers but she can't face the truth about her shortcomings. Once this politician entered the race, the whole thing went down the drain. She has single-handedly made this whole election about sexism.. In fact there is sexism, and it's protecting her.
She needs to be under scrutiny just like Obama has been from the past 15months. And Hillary, Michelle is under scrutiny too, and no one is coming to their aid. Why does Palin get away with it, because she is white republican??? This is disgusting.

HoustonIndie   September 10th, 2008 3:38 pm ET

As a Christian, I LAMENT the hijacking of Christians to the narrow, finger-pointing values under the Republican manipulations. A Christian ought to care about his and her neighbors. A TRUE conservative value has to contain the LOVE one has to improve the lives of the poor and the needy. Enough of these political manipulations!

Patriot Patrick of Houston   September 10th, 2008 3:37 pm ET

NO PICTURES OF PALIN'S KIDS RUNNING AROUND WITH REDNECKS, GUNS AND BOOZE ALL THE WHILE SHE'S CLAIMING TO BE A HOCKEY MOM. McCain/Palin are going to continue the same economic policies Bush has given us for the last 8 years. Tax cuts for the wealthy, tax cuts for corporations in hopes of creating jobs.

It didnt create jobs over the last 8, what makes you think it will create jobs over the next 4 years?

The world is laughing. They truly believe Americans are stupid.

Black Soccer Moms for Barack Obama   September 10th, 2008 3:37 pm ET

Come on you White Soccer Moms. You know our biggest complaint was about gas prices rising and we had to take our kids back and forth, and it was expensive. This moose hunting, polar bear/wolf shooting, ex-beauty queen, fake librarian/freak looking, missing in action mom, does not have anything in common with us. How dare her and you, compare her with soccer moms. We have been carrying the weight of the gas prices on our shoulders. Don't let this woman set us back 100 years. We are smarter than that. Hillary represents the 18 million cracks. She had the experience, knowledge, and guts to represent us soccer moms. I'm busy raising my kids and spending quality time with the family than to think she is my hero. I am not that gullible. Every woman that comes on TV is not a representative of Women’s rights. Don't fall for the lies.

Mrs. Palin is just like John McCain and the Republicans – LIARS. She claims to be a Christian and does things exaclty oppose to what Jesus teach like lying, deceit, slander and on and on. If her faith was soooo great like you al pretend that it is, then she would stand up for Christ no matter what, for Christ is no respector of person including the Republicans. Plain needs to stop using the name of Jesus if she is going to continue to live like the world.

Yes, apparantly I'm part of the "sheeple" (you hippies are SO clever!) because I know better than the government how to manage my life and manage my income, and feel I don't need to pay oppressive taxation (legalized fiscal slavery) just to fund a gigantic, lumbering, slobbering bureaucracy to manage my life for me.

But for the rest of you "enlightened" "progressives," apparantly you DO need a big bureaucracy to wipe your noses and butts and tell you how to live your lives.

So, tell me again, who are the sheeple? ;)

In this game of politics, McCain has advantage – you don't survive 5 years as a POW without learning what makes your enemies tick, their hits and misses. McCain's pick of Palin was pure military war game strategy. Additionally, you size-up the vulnerabilities of the enemy – a glaring Obama vulnerability is that albatross around his neck – The Ego. McCain has him on defense. You don't ditch your most powerful fire power, who has the support of millions of voters. How stupid.

Good to see that some Republicans–aren't afraid to stake their hopes on renewal on John McCain.

For argument’s sake, let’s jump ahead a year. It is now fall 2009. McCain/Palin won the General Election. The late President, due to his age and failing health has already died (not so inconceivable a possibility).

Russia invades Georgia once again in a clear warning act of aggression against NATO member nations designed to weaken American credibility.

President Palin proclaims that the invasion was wrong and one of the reasons why is because she is a hockey mom.

Lipstick on a Palin   September 10th, 2008 3:15 pm ET

I just read that the pig industry has filed a lawsuit against Palin, claiming irreparable damages to their image because Palin has decided that any references to lipstick on a pig are aimed at her, and thus she is reducing the image of a pig to her level.

The “old fish in a newspaper” industry has decided not to file a lawsuit against John McCain as their analysis concluded that it was a fair comparision, and neither helped nor hurt their image.

As recently as 4 years ago, McCain had some integrity.

Now, he has sold his soul to the devil, in the person of Karl Rove, in an attempt to get to the White House, and he has become a bitter, lying, immoral, dishonorable shell of a man.

And will someone please tell me how people who are supposedly Christians can lie, cheat, smear and misrepresent the truth the way the Republicans are doing? I really wonder what God will say when the time comes for them to meet their maker.

It's about the ISSUES!!!!

COUNTRY FIRST   September 10th, 2008 3:14 pm ET

The republicans were in the white house when the terrorists attacked
this country. How are they going to protect us.? John McCain chose
a country first mantra, then he selects a woman with no foreign policy
experience whatsoever, and proclaims to have no interest in the Iraq war. How are they going to protect us? John McCain's claim to fame is
being a POW. I respect that. But if John McCain is captured again
while he is asleep in the white house, How are they going to protect
us? Americans had better think long and hard before they allow the
republicans to fool this country again.
