Bill Clinton and Barack Obama have released a joint statement.

(CNN) – Barack Obama and Bill Clinton’s offices released a joint statement Thursday after the two met in New York.

“President Clinton and Senator Obama had a great conversation in Harlem today. They discussed the campaign briefly, but mostly talked about how the world has changed since September 11, 2001,” it read.

"Sen. Obama praised the work of the Clinton Foundation around the world and President Clinton applauded Sen. Obama's historic campaign which has inspired millions around the country.

"They also spoke about what the next President can do to help make the economy work for all Americans, as it did under President Clinton, and ensure safety and prosperity far beyond the coming the election. President Clinton said he looks forward to campaigning for Senator Obama later this month.”

In his memoirs, Obama admits to abusing cocaine, booze and marijuana. Cocaine is one of the most potent, addictive, and unpredictable recreational drugs. Cocaine causes profound and irreversible damage to the nervous system. Cocaine causes irreversible brain damage. Abusing cocaine leads to long-term memory loss and learning difficulties. That explains Obama’s uncontrollable gaffes and inability to remember which lie he told last.
    O'Brain Damage 2008. Yipeeeeeeee.

I read some of these posts and I just shake my head. This great nation of ours is travelling down a dark and dangerous road. The driver is asleep at the wheel. These gullible children of God had an opportunity to get a new driver in 2004 and they voted for the same sleeping driver. Now they want to put another sleeping driver behind the wheel and a religious fanatic riding shotgun. Lord have mercy on us all.

Personal attacks are not what I want to hear or read, but that is U.S. politics. Let's just hope it's better than the election of 1800 or 1992, 1996, 2000, and 2004, for that matter.

  7. Wow

The comments from the Republicans here just show that they have lost all sense of priority. All they care about is winning an election- as if an election was an end unto itself. WAKE UP! It's not the election that counts- it's what you do after the election.

The Republican Party comes out every four years to do some dirty campaigning, then they go right back to selling us out. They had control of all three branches of government for 6 years, and we're in worse shape than ever. Any real fiscal conservative knows- it is time for these guys to go. They're bankrupting our nation. The Republicans are not conservatives- they've all turned into Religious Liberals.

Well its about time!! Finally Obama has seen the light and realizes that he can no longer afford to take for granted the vaunted political power of the Clintons. In my humble but accurate opinion he can't win this election without them. It was a wrongheaded decision to not take Hillary as his VP and totally unite the party, and as a result McCain played the trump card and nominated Palin. By doing so (McCain) he capitalized on Obama arrogance and stubborness. Don't get me wrong I'm for Obama, but right is right and he has been sleeping on a very powerful, very influential political force in the Clintons.

Finally Biden even conceeded that Hillary was the better pick for VP and that the Clintons are first rate. If he, being Obama's VP can see the obvious choice, you can't tell me Obama doesn't see it. I wanna believe he's smarter than that!! This election was his to win until he doused the fire of Hillary's ascension and suffered McCain to appoint Palin as his VP. By doing so McCain is in effect saying: How can Obama be the candidate for change when he snubbed a woman, a well qualified one at that, to nominate a usual suspect. While I have radically nominated Sarah Palin out of political obscurity to serving in one of the highest offices in the land. That, my friends, is change we can believe in. Nothing further!!!

    So Bill,

did you guys talk about getting more funds to retire HRC's million debt or a position for Hillary in Obama's cabinet ?

Or , was it about dropping Biden, and installing Hillary.

I am fine with the last option.

Hey, here is an idea. Why don’t we have stories in the press on CNN about third party candidates instead of stupid stories about some girl selling her virginity, kanye west getting arrested, or Usher’s new baby. Maybe if there were stupid stories in the press about dumb comments made by Nader and Barr, these guys could actually get high enough in the polls to get into debates. Or even better yet, what songs are in Nader and Barr's IPOD, I bet it is an ecclectic mix, or how many times a day does Nader or Barr work out. We are all under control.

FreeNLovIt – I like the way you think. Unfortunately, some people don't understand that we can't bully our way into making other countries listen to us. Ex. Russia, Korea, Iran, Venezuela

To those Obama supporters who are getting jittery – have faith. We will get our country back come November. Obama is unfazed by all the Palin republican hoopla. Everybody just keep donating, volunteering, talking to friends and family, etc. We'll be alright.

  18. Democrats Take Action

    Obama supporters:

Stop wasting time on blogs like this, go to the Obama website, and start doing what you can to get people registered to vote.

We don't need to be wasting time trying to convert minds on blogs.

There are already enough people in the country that support Obama and hate Bush/McCain to make this a landslide.

We just have to make sure that they are all registered to vote and that they all go to the polls on November 4th.

    Time is of the essence!

    Make calls!

    Knock on doors!

    Do something!

    Obama/Biden '08!

Thank Goodness! Let's get away from this carnival-like circus led by McCain-Palin-Bush-Cheney and get back to the business of the real issues in this country! McCain is really pimping Palin. It appears that she is used to it.

*scratching head* Can someone please explain how a Hillary supporter can vote for McCain / Palin with a straight face? How can you possibly stand for what Hillary stands for and then vote for the exact opposite? That's what scares the heck out of me about some of my fellow Americans. I am a REAL woman and I will vote on ISSUES, not GENDER!!!

Barack is doing what any respectable candidate would do, work with a successful previous democatic President. Whether you agree with Clinton on a personal level (I did not), he did a lot for our economy. We were much better off 8 years ago than we are today. You can't argue with that.

No matter what you say, you have heard what Joe Biden had to say, he has answered the questions put to him by the media. John McCain has told you that you cannot talk to Sarah Palin until he says you can, if he says you can. But this is the woman who wants to be the VP of the U.S. John McCain is telling you to sit down shut up and do as I say. This is exactly how his administration will play out. Most of you cannot vote for someone who does not have your skin color so you will kill your family rather than do what is right for your country and your family. You are not losing your country if you vote for Obama you are saving your family and you country if you do. You will see if John McCain is elected that you have doomed your children to a lifetime of war and your wife will lose her right to choose.
