Bill Clinton predicts big Obama win

NEW YORK (CNN) - Former President Bill Clinton predicted Barack Obama will "win" this fall's election and "will win pretty handily.”

The two men chatted with reporters in a photo-op at Clinton's Harlem office before sitting down for a private lunch.

Clinton is scheduled to campaign for Obama in Florida later this month. According to aides, the former president will appear at a mix of fundraisers and campaign events on behalf of the Democratic ticket throughout the fall.

"We're putting him to work," said Obama.

Clinton said he’d "agreed to do a substantial number of things, whatever I'm asked to do.”

Obama smiled at Clinton's prediction that he would take the White House: "There you go, you can take it from the President of the United States. He knows a little something about politics."

The image of the two men meeting comes as a relief to many Democrats who have been hoping to put to rest the "Clinton-Obama rift" storyline. Both Clintons praised Obama in their convention speeches, but agreed a face-to-face meeting with the president was a necessary step in putting the contentious primary season behind both camps.

The two men were said to be dining on a mix of sandwiches, salads and pizza from the lunch chain Cosi.

First of all, Obama, Bill Clinton isn't the President of the United States now. Second, Clinton lied to the American people and was impeached, so I wouldn't believe him if he said "good morning." He thought Hillary would win. See how that turned out?

Whew! What a breath of fresh air Palin was! Now we can stop sucking up to those idiotic PUMA people nobody listens to. They can all finally go stay home this election where they would be better useful. It won't help the Obama people to point out McCain's view of women not deserving equal pay with men because the Republican base hase risen up like a sleeping giant and sucked up all those Wal-Mart moms!!!

I dont know about McCain but I think Sarah Paulin is a self centered person.. Instead of country first she is about herself first!! Think about it, she has a daughter pregnant at 17years old that needs her and two small children that need taken care of and one that is disabled that needs 24/7 care.. what are her priorities! If I were an American I would totally have not respect for her.. I am sure her husband is doing the rasing well she is out campaning but a possible 8years in office and who will take care of these children.. She cannot be at two places at once and most Children I know want their mommy's.

What? No mention of Sarah Palin? Pigs? Lipstick? Pitbulls? Is this CNN?

Seriously, I hope Bill goes out there and speaks to the rural Democrats. He was good at working the South of the United States and he can help get some of those that were not inclined to vote Obama.

Nice pick of food...Cosie is a great place to eat. Nice to see Bill back, respecting him again. He is a great campaigner probably the best politician since JFK. Seems like Obama is bringing out the big guns now! And thats sweet!

Obama now needs the Clintons. His ego did not allow Hillary to be his VP but now since he is behind on the polls he is running scared. I hope Bill does not campaign for him. Obama needs to go back to Chicago and be a community organizer. McCain in 2008 and Hillary in 2012.

You know, Senator Obama was talking about Senator McCain he used the lipstick simile. but I'll be darned if the simile doesn't work! She backed the Bridge to Nowhere, and even when she flip-flopped and changed her tack she still kept the two hundred plus million.

So I guess you could say that she definitely a pork lover....

YES! Obama-Biden will overcome this McCain-Palin manipulation and gross distraction..they have no choice but to shield the public from theri extreme views and distrastrous polcies. Country first? Give me a break..Keeping GOP power at all costs..that's their agenda. Fiddling while Rome burns..giving the media and unthinking people a freak sideshow with Palin..while the country continues to suffer and the poeple become poorer, angirer, more hopeless.

Clinton is right..America will wake up and on November 4...Obama will win and restore hope, integrity, credibility and competence to the White House!!

And he'll be right. Once Palin gets exposed for the fraud she is and McCain stumbles like an old fool, people will realize that on the issues, the Dems have it right.

nope aint gonna happen. people dont like bill and remember that he is the MAIN reason why hillary lost the primary. Bill is not human. MANY would not put up with being accused of being a racist and so for him to be outraged about it and then turn around and act like obama is his freind is very hard to swallow. in fact, its not believable and this is why people wont care to hear what he says. lets face it, you will vote for obama because you arent smart enough to realize that you can vote for someone else or you will vote for mccain because you are smart.

What?!? But I'm a hockey mom! Sexist! Sexist!

Now if you'll excuse me, I must get back to my job of collecting kickbacks from my corrupt dealings as governor. I mean, send my son, Nascar, off to war. You don't see Obama sending his girls off to war, do you? That's because he's a muslim.

    Mr. Obama,

You have pretty much lost it since the time you dumped Hillary and McCain choose a women!

We saw your judgement. If you are scared of the Clintons, or have given in to the Dem party bosses, then we don't think you are capable of running this country.

    Good Luck!
