Obama is scared, cant even give specific details, he never mentions the real effects of the policies, he is playing a " i hope this will work campaign". we need someone who has reformed. and to obama, who criticizes her on the bridge to nowhere she rejected, he never mentioned he voted for it....and obama will do like he did to other countries when it comes to russia, he will say i am sorry about america how can we make a deal, leading us into a socialist and beyond country ... watch all this unfold into a great american turnaround in the end.....i was the 1st to be sent to afghanistan, and 1st to be sent to iraq in the army.. obama need's to enlist in the army for 4 years as enlisted or officer before he acts like he knows what goes on in places like that.. what a sham it would be to get another fake politician in for another 4 yrs.

I did not see Obama "dogging McCain's footsteps," as one poster wrote. What I saw was Obama reaching out to one of the crowd, asking an aide for a business card so that person in need could contact his office. I also saw Obama, Mrs. McCain and Mayor Bloomberg energetically walking uphill after the ceremony. Senator McCain appeared to be a bit winded. Is he really physically able at 72 to take on the demands of the presidency? Oh, and it's not our enemies who want him elected. In response to another poster, I would NOT call the Canadians and Europeans I spoke with this summer our enemies, but rather, our close friends, and they were in favor of Obama. Our enemies want the GOP to continue in office, as the Bush administration has been Al Qaeda's greatest recruiting tool.

I hope the press gives Sarah a hard time for the following reasons:

-John should never have selected someone who is not experienced.
-John should never have put himself before his country
- When John's plane was shot down, he didn't think anything like that could ever happened. I guess he also thinks he's immortal.
- Sarah should have been vetted properly
-Sarah should not have been sequestered in order to catch up
-If she's going to be an attack dog, she's got to be tested

Once again, for America's sake, I hope the press gives her a hard time. We've known John for 27 years, Biden for 36 and Barach for 4. We've known Sarah for 13 days. I hope the press gives her a hard time. She can take it, if she's smart. If she's not, she's not ready.

I think some people are attracted to a Palin ticket because that are hurting in the current Bush Administration and want their pain to end now. I think those people will be disappointed and disillusioned.

It will depend if America wants to move on from the Scooter Libby / Rove years.

For many years I have been a faithful supporter of CNN but I actually turn off the commentary now. Fox is all about the right and they make no bones about it. CNN has always been center; but everytime I hear the news it sounds like FOX now. The think the pundits are so impressed with Palin that they are forgetting that the race is between Obama and McCain, not Palin. Then all the right wing commentators are playing up the silly stories that have no bearing on the case to continue this Palin mania. I think as a group you have gone overboard in trying to balance this election coverage. We need a little more positive on Obama to balance out the negative we hear from FOX. I know many CNN pundits supported Hillary, but is it necessary to punish the Democratic ideals by giving this race to McCain? Pat

Why in VA, it probably has something to do with am injury's effect over time. Many athletes tear a ligament, have surgery and return to the game but then don't walk after 50. I suggest the next time you decide to insinuate that a veteran POW is faking a war related injury you do it on a day other than September 11. Seems a little inappropriate.
