I guess all the running this past couple weeks is taking the toll on her. I thought she looked like she needed a make over. Her hair looked greasy or over sprayed; but then she did see her son off to war today. She kept saying "Charlie" which irritated me. I kept having the feeling that I was listening to a Beauty Pageant Contestant answering her questions for the competition. Like she was struggling to get the answer, & got a subject that she didn't have a clue about. She did worse than I thought she would do. I'm really concerned if McCain wins. So glad to see others that are expressing the same concerns I'm having. She's no "Hillary." Don't tell my husband though, because he is a die-hard Republican & thinks she did ok.

OF Course Palin didn't hesitate to accept the VP Candidacy! She's so on target and quite obviously more qualified than Obama, the Presidential candiate. Governor Palin shocked the country, and it was a Good Thing to see Senator McCain ask her to be on his ticket. She's a natural and highly movtivated and a breath of Fresh Air.... She is being a "good soldier", but is clearly being used (and doesn't seem to even be aware of that) and is so out of her leaue it is laughable. I used to have some respect for McCain, but he has moved into the Bush/Cheney/Rove camp – do whatever you need to win – don't think about what is best for our country. I'd just like to point out that Obama picked his running mate based on who he thought could best help him to run the country (he said this on David Letterman last night) and McCain picked his running mate based on who would help to energize the republican base (which he couldn't do alone to save his life). When I heard this it made my choice perfectly clear who I was going to vote for. Obama-Biden. Obama's choice to me said that he cared about running this country and doing what was best for the country whereas McCain's choice said to me that he only cared about getting his base enthusiastic and to hell with the rest of us outside his base (which as a Moderate Independent I am not a part of).

Having served in the USAF on a SAC base and after viewing the Barraccuda/Maverick it would appear she doesn't know one thing about foreign policy. Open your eyes people! We don't need Cowboy Diplomacy and we don't need trigger happy Politicians to run this country. That is not a consideration of personality, it is a consideration of lack of intellectual curiosity about recent changes in American foreign policy. You can't "cram" for the vice presidency. You can't "cram" to be an expert on foreign policy. You can't "cram" to be well versed in the economy. You can't "cram" on a host of any number of issues that are required to successfully lead. I don't buy the arguement that she can be tutored and be ready for the vice presidency. That may work as mayor, or as governor of a lightly populated state, or a fry cook at Dennys, but not the vice presidency.

I read somewhere that she will be unavailable to the press after this interview. Nice, Republicans....make sure we have no clue what this woman would do with control of the budget, the nuclear (yes, Sarah, it is pronounced NEW CLEE AR, not nucular...daddy Bush says it wrong too) button, education, the economy...my goodness, you need more than gubernatorial experience to run this country-that's why most of our successful Presidents have law degrees. People who graduate from law school can actually read and understand laws and the Constitution before they sign anything. I think education is far more important than the little executive experience they are touting for this woman.
She didn't answer one question-just keep repeating the three mantras they taught her, over and over. She really isn't very bright, I don't think.

I think she needs to learn some humility and obviously doesn't yet appreciate the magnitude of the responsibility she is running for. To say she has no doubts at all is scary as we've all had doubts about taking big steps even when we knew it was the right thing to do. Frankly, I found that kind of "absolutely no doubts" response somewhat dehumanizing, offputting and more than a little scary when you consider the radical fanaticism and lack of humility it takes to say that in her positioin.

We are only hearing from Palin are statements/comments written by the McCain campaign. Palin claims that she doesn't like women to whine in politics then she should quit being a puppet and only say what is scripted for her to say. This makes her look weak and incompetent. Remember, first impressions last and the impression that I have of her is low. Clinton supporters should be highly insulted. Clinton campaigned for 18 months and generated her own supporters. Now, Palin feels that she is entitled to those supporters when she didn't do the work to get them. Palin has been on the McCain campaign for two weeks, and people still don't know anything about her other than she can read, lie and isn't talking or speaking for herself. That's it in a nutshell. So far, I would give Palin a failing grade.

She should have realized that the country would be better served with someone with the vision to be successful, who received the nomination, not on the basis of her sex and the electorate she could attract, but because she was the absolute best candidate to help the country get on the right track.

I think she showed poor judgement in terms of what is truly best for the country.

She is a very frightening lady! Americans need to pay attention to this response. We don't want a President or Vice President who "doesn't blink....that is a knee jerk reaction and that can affect one's judgement to blow us off the face of the earth by attacking countries because she feels she has received a message from God. How is this thinking any different than suicide bombers and terrorists. I'm sure they are so driven they would use the same kind of thinking process. THis woman should never be so close to the top as to be making decisions on our behalf. People wake up. Also, she needs to be interviewed alone, non scripted, and without Carl Rove and others guiding her. She needs to be asked about the major issues.
